Lord Lapin
Look peeps, don't let an incident like this get you down. Out there on gaia there are loads of plot junkies, there are loads of people who love interactive stories and manga. Just because there's been an uprising of disagreeable individuals lately doesn't mean the diamonds aren't in the rough, they just become harder to find. The community doesn't look supportive, but supporters still exist. D&D'ers, RP'ers, and the old Gaians of 2003 onwards.

They aren't united yet though, and that's what this organization should be dedicated to: finding them, gathering them, and conglomerating. The community is pitching a fit right now, but can you honestly say it's the entire community?

Don't let a few unsavory characters spoil it for you. You must remain strong and you must remain dedicated, because there are people out there who want a plot and you must realize you aren't just doing this for yourselves, but you're doing it for them. The ones who left, the ones who came back, the ones waiting for something interesting, and the ones with memories of the past. You can do it, no matter how dark it may look, you can bring back the plot. It all starts with an idea.
ehm ehm.. Yeah I agree with you! There will always be people who care about the plot no matter what *raises hand* ehm soo.. we can count on that. But I wanted to create a little scenario of how things could go, right? soo.. we will obviously raise awareness about how we love the manga and the staff will notice without a doubt. And then.. I think:

a) they ignore us.. they did that before, so maybe it's a matter of how persistent we are.. or how many tears we are able to bring in their eyes..let's see

b) they acknowledge the fact that their community loves the manga and they'll use this to their advantage to make profit of it, AS IN making us pay for plot from there on... Maybe they come up with a period gold sink for the plot "sink this much gold or no manga this month", or they come up with a cs item that a certain amount of people have to purchase for the plot to happen further..

c) or they are kind enough to continue the plot for us without asking for anything in exchange, so to say out of the pure kindness of their hearts and the undivided love they hold for their dear Gaians.. uhm yeah n.nU

That being said, I think it's gonna be b) most likely but who knows..

BUT considering the current situation with Gaia making this mistake as to unwillingly reveal the drama about the mule and the marketplace, well, they kinda owe us... cuz they (probably already lost) lose loads of Gaians' trust now. And therefore I think they will try to counteract somehow.

So what if we expressed that the plot, AND ONLY THE PLOT, will win back our trust, we can raise the chance of option c) happening maybe?

Hi guys, I'm literally only checking into here any any of my notices today, I have a busy week this week and stressors and blah....I have a some to talk about and while I would like to cut all this up and make GCD threads and do other great fun things on here I just don't have the time. Plus, I swear every thread in the GCD of mine has always summoned some sort of death missile. xD I'm leaving thread creation to the professionals.

Today while I was walking, I was remembering the days of when the GCD was about conspiracies regarding the plot and not Gaia itself. I wonder what is actually driving these people to be so nasty, then I realized, there have always been people like this. There are always also, people like you guys around that make it all worth while.

The whole "plot conspiracy" fun of the GCD is something I dearly miss. When I first came on Gaia, I actually was doing it to meet up with a few IRL friends, but my world expanded when I found a hangout thread in the charity forum. After many months, this is where I was given my ninja headband that I've treasured these many years. The item was very dear to me as a memento of that experience. However, all good things pass and seeking a new place to go, I found the GCD and it's wonderful energy and excitement about the Gaia world itself very intriguing. While I have tried to make other forums my home, I always came back to the GCD. Even now, I know underneath all this nastiness is a forum that is fun. While faces have changed, the spirit of the forum has always been there.

Thinking about our current plot, and the different definitions of Amibiton, my thoughts were about the many different forms of ambition different gaians have. We have our quests, our projects, our roleplaying, our games, many things that of course would include our plot. However, every time I've been Gaia try to dismiss the plot, I feel like they, and many users, forget what the heart of this site is. The forums might be the core, but the real heart is the community, the feeling we are apart of something more than the sum of our pixels. There have always been people who do events, and try to create something better than just posts or light conversation about what we're wearing. There have always been those who know that what brings us together is something that cannot be generated by code or pretty items. I always, always felt that the plot was the closest thing Gaia has to generating interest without it being about pure consumption. It is a shame to see that they are still trying to do away with it, not knowing they are hurting themselves in doing so. Event items usually rot in inventories, don't they, until an event cycles back around. Even then, we're not putting on those items because it's scheduled: we literally want to dress ourselves in the excitement our plot and events give us.

I'm sure there's more I could say on the topic, but I am out of time today my friends. Best to you all, and hopefully I'll see you a little tomorrow.

Edit:Oh and the part about bringing up the Ninja band. I sacrificed this in my pursuit of the 500Bil tier for the Hidden Tome KS, so I'm questing it back. I know doing that was partly for myself but I raised more than I'd ever had on Gaia to support that plot KS.

I want to earn that thing back and it be an even stronger symbol of what I love about Gaia. heart

BOO! biggrin

I hope I have some time to read Slick's plot thread in the forum, I'm just super extra busy this week.

If you haven't, go read it. And go play in GCA too.

Well... I had this rather large post that I had typed out about yet another Stupid Thing Gaia Online Has Done #41233542136 A.K.A. apparently excluding some of the entries from the Summer Art Contest or otherwise losing them in cyberspace... (RIP all those hours hard at work drawing for the contest)

BUT
1. my computer restarted and I lost it
2. my mood turned around when I found that o_8 uploaded my commission from AX. (#5) whee

zOMG! fans, eat your heart out!

Oh!that sounds cool have you posted it anywhere yet?

;;

On a side note if anyone reads this I was thinking about setting up a thread in the RL projects forum about getting everyone together that can do it and printing out the manga we make various "cover" art for it all and sending it in with a letter written by the guild together or by someone who we designate explaining what the manga and plot mean to us.It's late and I'm getting sick so I don't know if that makes sense but anyways~thoughts??

You know I've been wondering lately if the block feature on Gaia could possibly used as a way to harass people. What I mean is could enough high profile regulars in a forum block someone to the point where they don't see any new major threads being posted in an effort to drive them from the forum. I know it's hard to prove but since the last massive site drama and the typically nice and get along with nearly everyone people blocking people for reasons unknown or simply because they don't agree with someone (which is petty in my opinion) you do have to wonder if some blocking is targeted.
