NEW RULES OF NOTE: Kid battle mechanics have changed somewhat for this battle event.
If you're a kid on assault: Roll 2d6 for your first turn after the boss attacks. The first die is the damage you take and any effects that happen, and the second die is your (lusus') damage roll as normal.
Additionally, at half-hour opportunities between rounds, lusii can attack. They roll 1d4 damage that automatically hits. Lusii cannot be healed or support trinketed.
“Destroy them!” Mapuye roared. The plan to continue down the coast to the royalist controlled Beach Resort was abandoned. She was out for blood. “We've already destroyed 2 of their bases permanently -- why not strike more fear into their insolent biscuits? The Bloodfest Stage will be a fitting battleground for Alternia tor reign.” Her words were ominous, and delivered as the group made its way inland.
Upon spotting the rebel base, it was clear that there were defenders nearby. This time, the royalists would not be ambushed. Setting upon the base, the rebels would find the battle coming to them. There are only a few defenders left at the bases, so it should take no time to capture those sticking around.
The front lines charge immediately. The Bloodfest Stage is a mess: it's an amalgam of all of the previous Bloodfests, with piles of supplies thrown here and there. There could easily be rebels hiding under piles of Disc-sleds and banners.
Like the boss battle rules say, roll 2D6! For your dodge roll, listings go as follows:
If you roll a 1, and are ASSAULT: your lack of perception costs you dearly. Buried and carefully placed under patchy areas of sand and covered with tarps are remnants of Bloodfest's sleds. The Danger, as it was called, was a particularly deadly device, and serves a much deadlier purpose now. It can easily slice a troll's skin. Take 4 damage. If you are INTEL: You barely notice traps set, leftover explosives from Bloodfest. The explosives from the sled race need to be examined and defused, and you lose valuable time doing so (while growing increasingly anxious about the live explosives you have to deal with). Take 1 damage. Your coordinate search fails, and you cannot roll for the next hour.
If you roll a 2, out of nowhere you see an inky black balloon falling from the sky. A water balloon -- filled with something not-so-nice instead of water. It hits you smack in the face and explodes. The odd black substance inside has fermented over the years, and makes you exceptionally loopy and unable to focus. Take 2 damage. Deal half damage throughout this round.
If you roll a 3, if you’re ASSAULT: you charge forward, but were not expecting rebels to be hiding under all of this discarded junk. You're met with a fishing harpoon. Gulp. Take 1 damage, and don't deal damage this round so that you can escape. If you're INTEL: as the front line charges forward, the bulk of the intel team is left in the back. Suddenly, you find yourself threatened with harpoons from the flank. Thinking quickly, you escape, but you lose an opportunity to search a coordinate. Your coordinate search fails.
If you roll a 4, you manage to deal some damage to the rebels, but they're pretty tough customers. They're using the disc sleds as shields! You take 1 damage.
If you roll a 5, you manage to use the sleds to your advantage, skating across them to gain an advantageous position. You feel a little absurd doing so, but there's so much trash scattered around that you might as well make the best of it. You land some good hits on the enemy and use Ol' Trusty to skate around with ease. Take no damage and deal 2 extra damage this turn.
If you roll a 6: Eureka. You find the Alternian Rocket Sled 3.0 in a pile. If you are INTEL: You can DEFINITELY do something with this. You retreat to one of the royalist transports to do some minor "adjustments". You take no damage, and all damage you do from coordinate searching is increased by 2 this round. If you are ASSAULT: After a few test starts, you realize that the Alternian Rocket Sled that you have stumbled upon is functional. You send it flying into a rebel barrier, and sparks fly. Do 3 additional damage this turn.
THIS ROUND ENDS AT 12:30AM PST THE NEXT ROUND WILL START AT 10:00AM PST
THE PHOENIX INITIATIVE THREATENS TO DEMOLISH A COORDINATE
SHIPYARD WAREHOUSES [6,3] if this coordinate is rolled by intel trolls, all trolls deal 2x damage. if not rolled... there will be consequences. • • • – – – • • •
Destroyed Coordinates: THE ARMY HAS PERMANENTLY DESTROYED SERPENTINE MANSION. IF [5,5] is rolled, the troll that rolled it will take 2 damage. THE ARMY HAS PERMANENTLY DESTROYED BEACHFRONT WASTES. IF [5,3] is rolled, the troll that rolled it will be unable to act for an hour.
Dictys is on INTEL Mommydaddy HP: 25 - 3 = 22 Master Recruiting: x x x
They were moving on. Dictys waved Mommydaddy over, and then headed into the transport vehicle. Bloodfest Stage? Ey'd briefly experienced glory here. Ey took a moment to reminisce, but it was clearly a bad decision, for a water balloon seemed to materialized from nowhere, drenching Dictys in a liquid that was most certainly not water.
Ugh. [2,2] ROLLED!
Mommydaddy takes 3 damage - ouch!

Tamiya is on ASSAULT Kabukidad HP: 38 - 2 = 36 Grandmaster Recruiting: x x x x Apprentice Intelligence: x
"What is tha--AAAHH! SINTER! LARQUE! Larque, help me!" Tamiya shrieked. While Kabukidad took the brunt of the hit, she herself was covered in the black goop from the splash.
Kabukidad was soaked in black. Then, it dissolved into his regular white form. He began to stagger and growl. "F-fffuuuuck..." hissed Kabukidad. He stumbled about and walked a few steps on his hindlegs before crashing down and twitching like a dying spider. Her lusus got back onto all fours, but he swayed back and forth drunkenly. Tamiya panicked momentarily before feeling slightly light-headed herself.
Alifax is on ASSAULT HP: 18 Grandmaster Intelligence: x x x x Apprentice Construction: x Apprentice Demolition: x
Alifax headed to the front lines pretty quickly now that they were back in...semi-familiar territory. He hadn't really participated much in the previous bloodfest, but that didn't mean he didn't know the land well. He'd spent a long time poring over maps these past few weeks, after all. He found a sled quickly and, uh, boarded it.
What? This was useful! Right?
His question was quickly confirmed as he slammed into the base the rebels had erected, dealing a considerable amount of damage to it. He was not opposed to this at all!
Etsali is on INTEL Keeper HP: 30-2= 28 Journeytroll Intelligence: x x Journeytroll Construction: x x Apprentice Demolition: x
Things seemed a bit easier now that she'd found someone she knew, but that didn't mean it was any less dangerous. As they approached their newest target's location, Etsali frowned. This place didn't look safe at all! She glanced at Vulpin and Keeper, and then hurried forward to grab some materials and begin to build. "Hold on before you go in, I bet I can rig something up to help protect us!"
She was making pretty good progress on her little barrier when she saw it streaking towards her through the sky. Was that...a balloon? As she squinted at it, it smashed into the barrier, splashing all over her and Keeper. She gagged as the strange substance oozed her, stumbling, and then gasped as she watched some of it seep into her gloves. W-were her hands getting dirty? What if she took her gloves off to see and it was on her?
Immediately distressed, she struggled to find something to wipe it off on, no easy feat with an increasingly foggy mind, and failed to pay the fighting the amount of attention she should have.
[2,5] rolled! Used Structural Barrier! Next troll to dodge roll a 1 can add 2 to it!
Dictys is on INTEL Mommydaddy HP: 22 Master Recruiting: x x x
Dictys had good memories of the museum, ey thought. It would be nice to be there instead of here, where ey had to wander about with ugly black tar on eir face. At least ey wasn't recognizeable, right? Actually - perhaps eir jewelry was. Dictys winced. Perhaps someone had a handkerchief.
Dictys is on INTEL Mommydaddy HP: 22 - 1 = 21 Master Recruiting: x x x
Ey tried again to squeeze information out of eir radio - Dictys really wanted to know where the rebels were planning to attack this time. It was never nice to be caught off guard, after all.
Alifax is on ASSAULT HP: 18 Grandmaster Intelligence: x x x x Apprentice Construction: x Apprentice Demolition: x
They'd noticed him on his sled, though. Alifax took in a breath, and then darted up the hill. He didn't want to get hit by any sort of projectile, no matter how un-deadly they turned out to be. They could each of them be explosives - then, of course, there'd be no such laughing matter.
[1,4] ROLLED!
Alifax takes 0 damage and deals 0 damage (not a dodge roll)!
Sinter is on INTEL Location Rolled: Museum of High Culture (Loyalist-Controlled) Lophie's HP: 37 Journeytroll Intelligence: xx Master Recruiting: xxx
[ Sinter had initially been proud to have discovered the hidden explosives. (He'd have his revenge yet on the winter Bloodfest tiebreakers...) Lophie was an excellent lusus to have for buried trap-spotting. Sinter's pride was soon replaced with fear once he realized finding the traps meant he was automatically nominated to diffuse them.
"You've gotta be kidding me I'm not even six yet who DOES this to a kid..." ]
Sinter does 0 damage and received 1 damage himself. Etsali's Structural Barrier in effect!

Ephias is on Assault Wolly HP: 36 - 2 = 34 Grandmaster Construction: x x x x Novice Recruiting: x
An ominous shadow blotted out the moonlight over Ephias. Naturally he looked up. There was a mysterious black shape falling toward him. There was no time to react. A moment later, he and Wolly were officially soaked. Somehow the sheep had ended up on his side. His legs kicked wildly.
Ephias could only think how much it felt like a few days of insomnia. He had slept recently too! That just wasn't fair.
Dictys is on INTEL Mommydaddy HP: 21 - 2 = 19 Master Recruiting: x x x
Dictys wasn't able to do much of anything, and neither was Mommydaddy, at this point. And yet Dictys didn't want to lose any more of Old Hemisect City than ey had to.
Alifax is on ASSAULT HP: 18 Grandmaster Intelligence: x x x x Apprentice Construction: x Apprentice Demolition: x
Alifax ducked upwards and hid, so that he might be able to avoid the damage from falling...water balloons. Filled with something he didn't want to think about. The rebels were resourceful, he'd give them that.
[1,6] ROLLED!
Alifax takes 0 damage and deals 0 damage (not a dodge roll)!

Ephias is on Assault Wolly HP: 34 Grandmaster Construction: x x x x Novice Recruiting: x
What made this different from any insomnia induced delirium was that Wolly was affected too. Of course, Ephias was not in a well enough state of mind to appreciate that. He was too busy laying on the floor giggling. On the bright-side, at least he was not depressed. In the meantime Wolly trotted around his charge. He continually shook his head as though he had flies. Fortunately he had enough sense to head-butt anyone that came too close.
Dictys is on INTEL Mommydaddy HP: 19 Master Recruiting: x x x
Dictys knew ey could do this - with Mommydaddy or without them. Ey scrabbled frantically at the radio, before the hushed plans finally - finally - came on again. Was that...the beach? Dictys made quick note of it before shouting the information to the gathered royalists.
[6,3] ROLLED!
Mommydaddy deals 1 damage AND all further royal damage is doubled!
