Benji picks up another ice cube, trying to bring it to the candle and... once again, it slips loose and plunges to the ground. His ears go back and he gives Olivia an apologetic smile and headshake, wondering silently to himself why he seems to keep picking the ice cubes that have no courage.

Lou had grown up believing fire was a dangerous thing, maybe that's why she had such a problem getting her ice cube close enough to the candle to steam. Whatever the reason she hovered the cube far above the flickering flame and looked disappointed when nothing happened. She didn't notice the unhappy look the booth ghoul was giving her.

Well, that was super close. It seemed like Ryou had finally gotten the hang of it when last second, he put the ice cube too close to the flame and it melted, putting out the flame.

Shyly walking into the booth, Anepou watched people playing with candles and ice for several minutes, before he decided to approach and try it himself. He quietly accepted the ice cube and gently lowered it, stopping far enough that he hoped he would succeed. He sighed, a little disappointed that he hadn't quite succeeded, but when he was given the chance to select a minipet, he smiled sweetly, his eyes happy and bright.

Demoonica Darkmoon Olivia let out a very happy little sound to see the success of the boil. Though with the request of the prize, she was unable to really do anything about that. The ghoul turned her head towards Andrew unexpectedly. (Unfortunately, this is pan's mini so I can't give it out. I believe he has long work hours but he will get you the mini when he is available!) Midnightglow18 Oh, so close! So close! But the fire didn't go out like a few others had - so sad! OnO But the ghoul had managed it and Olivia happily handed over the booth prize! OuO Vashtya Sitting at the booth watching this all day long was making Olivia nervous, like she wasn't already with being around fire all day as it was. But so many close calls! Thankfully they had another winner and the wight happily handed over the prize. OuO
Gabby had come as a somewhat surprise, having not see the boil in some time but she recognized him as the one that was dating Efflo (that was their relationship, right? They were very close, had gone to prom together and she could have sworn she heard it mentioned). Olivia greeted him and watched him as silently as she did with everyone else, of course with a huge smile on her features that briefly faltered as he was unable to complete the task. Honestly, she was expecting him to leave without a word like so many others had gone that she honestly jumped a little in surprise when she noticed him leaning towards her.
To whisper some very unkind things in her ear. Then came the pout as she gave him the most bewildered look, "but why would I want to dump him?" And where for that matter? (And how? It wasn't like she was able to ... touch him). Arynek didn't overhear the conversation of "Ice shouldn't be together with fire", but she believed that if she tried hard, she could do anything. That was a saying that "nothing is impossible, it depends on whether you do it or not", and it was something she strongly believed. Thus, she went back to this booth to prove that it was true, she couldn't change the nature that she dislike or even scare of heat, but she can overcome it with determination. Holding the ice closer and closer a bit, she made a big difference compared to her previous attempts. The icecube started to accept the heat and warmed up. The shadow ghoul didn't look away, even the flame was so close, she stared at the icecube until it melted, a tiny droplet appeared on its surface and slowly accumulated into a water droplet and finally dripped down. Sizzle. It created sounds as the water nearly put out the flame. "I think it's possible!" She said excitedly to Olivia who she disappointed so many times. "If we try hard, they can-can be friends! I-I didn't make it last time, but-but see, I-I did it this time." The blushes on her cheeks were so obvious. "This-This is a good game, I am sure you want to deliver a message and-and I hope you do." If fire and ice cna be friends, then maybe she can be friends with boils, convincing them that she was not food. Demoonica Darkmoon Andrew as busy staring at the boil unable to believe he actually got it to steam. It took him a moment to actually give him the kitpin. "Good job." he said begrudgingly. How did he do that? Did he cheat? Andrews didn't know. -sent "Gabby go away. No more chances for you." Andrew grumbled at the boil. What was he doing harassing Olivia like that? Andrew's tail flame flickered with annoyance and the candle starting burning high in reaction to the heat he was giving off. nio love Next time Gabby approaches the booth he gets a fireball thrown at him and a glare from Andrew.

Gabby grinned widely when Andrew acted up right on cue, flaring in what the dragon wanted to believe was jealousy. "Oh, don't be like that, buddy." Gabby growled. "After all the chances she's given you, you should cut me a little slack." He left, but he was back not even an hour later, and Andrew made sure to throw a welcome greeting at him in the shape of a fireball. Gabby barely dodged it, but he could feel his wings dripping from the heat and stiffened in annoyance. "I thought we were over this little issue, pal." Gabby hissed, clearly not as amused by Andrew's hands on attempt to escalate the situation.

Shiki held the cube over the flame, just as he had done time and time before, and sadly this time it decided to melt and put the candle out. That was a pity because he had always loved fire.
"Sorry...." the little kitsune could have been talking to the two running the booth, or the flame.

"Go away means no more chances at my booth. Shoo." Andrew made a little wave motion with his hands. They might have been a little on fire. Even so Andrew did not reach across the booth or really attempt to remove or hurt the other boil. The fire ball had dissipated very shortly after being thrown after all. There was no intention to set anything except the candle on fire. "And Olivia asked me to." his arms crossed and he didn't say anything more on the matter. It sure was a good thing Andrew elected to wear fire proof clothing though because his hands couldn't seem to stop burning. A wing came up and shielded the fire from Olivia's sight. He knew better than to let the poor ghoul see to much fire even if he wanted to burn Gabby into a crisp. Well Melty puddle might be the more likely result. chirigami It seems rp is happening.

Nova grabs a pair of tongs and picks up an ice-cube, moving to the other side of the booth to the flame. He is about there when the ice suddenly pops free, falling to the ground.
“Oh come on you have to try better than that.” Andrew stares at Nova and the boil realizes he should go get another cube.

Collecting another ice-cube Nova returns to the flame demons side of the booth. He holds it out over the flame, but it seems he's judged the distance wrong as nothing happens.

Siddie wasn't entirely sure she could do this. Would it even work to get steam off the ice cube without melting it? But the two running the booth were a fire demon and an ice ghoul; if it were possible, they would know. Anyway, they wouldn't have made an impossible game, would they? That would just be mean. Siddie held the ice cube carefully over the flame with the tongs.
It didn't quite steam, but a drop of water gathered and fell. Siddie hastily pulled the ice cube away before it could put the flame out. "Close enough," the flame demon said, sounding a little grumpy, and let Siddie pick out a minipet.

Well, an answer to her question didn't seem to surface at all and the situation just seemed to get worse. Even with the kind words from the sweet pale ghoul who had stopped by their booth and tried so many times. (And in ways, proving a point in the process, that with a little bit of effort it could all work out. Really, this booth had an unconscious message to it after all!) "It is possible, they can be friends and work together. Sometimes it takes times." The ghoul chirped as she slid her eyes across the table back to Andrew.
"Making him go away seems kind of mean though, we're here to have fun." And held that resolve even as Gabby returned some time later despite Andrew's warnings and fireballs. Which of course made the wight jump in surprise and scoot a little further away from the heat of it all.
"Please don't fight, this is a carnival and supposed to be fun." Why were they fighting anyway? Was this all because of the comment Gabby had told her that she didn't understand? With bright blue eyes, she looked between the two even as Andrew held up a wing to shield her from further fire attacks. It didn't put her at ease though and actually made her move a little closer in a means to break them up.
She still kept some distance though, though not the previous barrier that she usually kept up. Maybe two feet this time. Still a little nervous but she held it firmly. "I was really happy when he agreed!" She went on, expanding on Andrew's response. "It's nice, right? I couldn't handle the fire part of it so I asked Andrew to help me." meegane Olivia is so happy for and with you!
