"Ohhh, I haven't tried offering beetles." He suddenly sounded thoughtful, musing over this tidbit. Stryke would keep that tucked away for later while he was trying to improve upon his recruitment skills.

"Gerbils?" The yellowblood had heard the chirp and looked thoughtful. He wasn't so sure about that, didn't they chew on things? It was the latest trend, so maybe. "Uhh..alright." Doubtful, but still worth the consideration he supposed.

"Yeah, we've been deploying as many troops as we can and gathering and mobilizing what we can..its an up hill battle but we'll see what happens eh?" Chuckling thoughtfully, getting ready to wrap up the transmission. "Its hard to say, the battle can swing so quickly..stay sharp and contact us if you need anything! Stryke over. Gotta go check out a few things." he answered in parting, with some amount of reluctance as the company hadn't been half bad.

Skae was wondering why his radio had been silent since the original call for aid at City Hall went out. Sure he'd been using it a bit more frequently but... a quick check showed that he'd been talking to himself all this time. Urgh. Cheap batteries. With a sigh Skae popped them out and tossed them to one side. He patted himself down and eventually found another pair, lightly used, and stuck them into the radio.

The first thing he heard was that the Loyalists were now capturing Rebels, and to move with caution when out and about.

A thin trail of red slipped down his chin as he bit clear through his lower lip. Wonderful! He'd become sea lusus bait in no time.

Whimpering Skae steeled his spine a tiny bit and set out. He wasn't going to let the threat of being culled slow him down. He was a rust blood. The threat of getting culled was always over his head. He made his way over to the place known as Mansion Peaks, and seeing nothing standing there, started to work.

Now it was high time he skedaddled!

Skae bolted down, darting through thinning piles of rubble and once useful items. He kept to the shadows when he could, and when he couldn't well. He was lucky no one spotted him. He veered sharply left and slid into the base right as the workers left. The flags mocked him. So he bombed them.

[ After a brief nap, Rasali was ready and raring to go for another bout of telling people what to do. However, some time between her last round of orders and waking up, Rasali had ended up with no more recruits. That needed to be remedied.

Rasali scrambled up onto her lusus's back and patted him on the head until he finally lifted himself up and wandered off into town.

He was getting used to the sounds of explosions and ducking for cover when his makeshift bombs went off. He was getting faster at recovering from the disorientation from being a tad too close, to switching from destroying to rebuilding. He wasn't sure if he liked knowing about these changes in him or not. But there was work to be done and personal reflection could come later.

As he worked on building up a rebel base, he made sure to grind one of the loyalist flags into the dirt.

He needed to work faster. Who knew when loyalists would come pouring out to check on their latest lost base? He had no desire to get captured by them, and possibly tortured for information he didn't have. Nope. He was just a simple rust blood who lived in the area. Him? Naw he didn't know anything about any secret war between two factions. This radio? He found it.

Pfffft. As if anyone would believe that.

[ As Rasali looked out over the town of Old Hemisect, she could see the horizon light up with signs of battle. The wind smelled of soot and explosives. Rasali gripped the edge of her lusus's shell tighter.

At least the trolls who hadn't already evacuated were more than willing to assist Rasali with the cause. Anything to hasten an end to the fighting.

Lunear figured that as the radio died, it was time to get back to work. Checking his hair to make sure the dye was holding he went back out, keeping as low as he could to avoid being seen as he looked for more places they'd yet to establish the status of. The stage and loony bin, he radioed back.

"Found more rebel bases. Looks like we're gaining on the loyalists."

Finding another rebel base had him smirking but- "Damn." He muttered, coming across the construction pit. "Found some loyalists over by the pit- The base is large, but I can't spy any defense. Keep you posted as I make my way back."

[ The fighting was really starting to get intense. Or maybe the fighting had always been this bad and Rasali had only just now wandered into it. Kappadad, who until now had been content with following Rasali's lead, began to insist on deciding Rasali's route through the city. While Kappadad taking charge was comforting, knowing that even her placid lusus was on edge sent Rasali into new levels of anxiety.

"L-let's head back to the beach! There's less activity over there." Rasali said to her lusus. She motioned for other nearby trolls to do the same.

[ Rasali had never been so relieved to taste sea air. She could understand why the beach was such an appealing place for tourists. However, she doubted she'd be able to properly take a vacation at the beach for a very long time after this experience.

The relative calm of the beach seemed to spread through the other trolls who'd run from the denser parts of the city as well. Rasali figured now would be as good of a time as any to talk to them.

DAILY REFRESH!


It's a new day! While the Royalists struggle to keep their ground against the rebel threat, the rebels realize true danger in up close combat. Open fighting has ceased as the rebels decide on a sneakier strategy, and it seems as though the peak of the outward conflict has passed (hopefully).

With the capture of rebel trolls, many trolls within the Phoenix Initiative have realized the gravity of the situation. An impressive amount of coordination and resource pooling has established a new, simple form of cohesion and stealth between the rebels. In each rebel base, simple black hemoanonymous uniforms are given out. A simple mask accompanies the outfit, to hide the troll's face. A prototype outfit for the rebellion. Rebel trolls are encouraged to not be identified, and elude capture at all costs. A note on the attire reads: "Whatever happens after this conflict, if you're branded as a traitor, the worst will happen. For you, and for the rebellion. Keep your identity safe. Protect yourself.


Today's Happenstance: A rogue Surf Gang has taken coordinate [6,6], The Bungalows. These gnarly trolls are not only radical, but have stocked their stores with enough goods to last through an apocalypse! It's a party over there! Building a base on The Bungalows will reward double points and cannot be attacked today.

Members of the Royalist Teams can roll 1D6 once every hour in the Coastal Base thread to assist the wounded in the medical bay. The corresponding number will subtract from the number of wounded, and at 0 this effect will go away. If a 6 is rolled, a new action can be taken. These posts must be accompanied by RP text.

There is a medical station set-up at the rebel base, for those who would like additional RP in the Wooded Sanctuary.

Each troll is refreshed and ready to go with 2 available actions.


Refreshers:
POSSIBLE ACTIONS ARE:

Build: Roll 1D6 to build on a coordinate that you have unlocked – the roll result determines the durability of the base. You can also build on friendly bases to add durability, up to a maximum of 30 durability. You cannot build on a coordinate that already has an enemy base on it.
Trolls with training in Construction get a bonus to their roll:
Apprentice: Roll 2D6 Journeytroll: Roll 3D6 Master: Roll 4D6 Grandmaster: Roll 5D6

Rally: Roll 1D6 to organize defenders, which can be assigned to any coordinate you have unlocked. The roll result determines the amount of defenders you have rallied. Defenders will be on stand-by until you mobilize them. Defenders are the second level of defense that can be assigned to protect a base. You must use defenders to take out defenders if you want to demolish an enemy base!
Trolls with training in Recruiting get a bonus to their roll:
Apprentice: Roll 2D6 Journeytroll: Roll 3D6 Master: Roll 4D6 Grandmaster: Roll 5D6

Demolish:
Roll 1D6 to destroy a base on a coordinate that you have unlocked – the roll result determines the amount of damage done to the durability of the base. At 0 durability, the base is destroyed. You cannot demolish a base with defenders assigned to it.
Trolls with training in Demolition get a bonus to their roll:
Apprentice: Roll 2D6 Journeytroll: Roll 3D6 Master: Roll 4D6 Grandmaster: Roll 5D6

Intelligence: Roll a new coordinate (2D6). If you roll a coordinate you have already unlocked, the roll is wasted.
Trolls with training in Intelligence get a bonus to their rolls:
Apprentice: Roll 2 new coordinates (4D6)
Journeytroll: Roll 2 new coordinates (4D6); if at least 1 of the coordinates is not unique, re-roll 2D6 until a new coordinate has been unlocked.
Master: Journeytroll effect OR select one new coordinate from another team and unlock it. You must post with roleplay in your own thread and the other team’s thread for this to take effect.
Grandmaster: Journeytroll effect OR Master effect OR… Roll 1 coordinate (2D6). If your allies control the coordinate rolled: add 5 durability and 5 defenders to that coordinate (may surpass the maximum durability/defender limit by 5). If your opponents control the coordinate rolled: it loses 5 durability and 5 recruits (does not apply if the numbers would decrease past 0). You additionally unlock the coordinate.


Mobilize: Choose one of two options:
1. Send defenders from your stand-by or a friendly-base you control to any friendly-base on a coordinate that you have unlocked.
2. Assault an enemy-controlled coordinate that you have unlocked using defenders from a friendly base. Defenders must be deployed to a base before they can assault an enemy base and cannot attack directly from your standby.

While the group seemed able to do their own thing, Lunear was content with that. A uniform, mask- he was pleasantly surprised by the gifts of his fellow rebels. Anything to keep his identity secret.
