For a long time, Aiden put the most emphasis on torquing Jake's leg in multiple angles. Enough to a point where it would seem as if Aiden truly wanted to break Jake's leg in half. Truth be told Jake couldn't support his body with one leg if he intended to try his big boots. What would he do, use his leg that Aiden had kicked and went to work on nearly all match? Unlikely. Regardless, Jake didn't seem to be too pleased with the submission. Proof that Jake was willing to bend his body in ways Aiden didn't expect, Aiden felt his head being pulled back. Not only that, but his jaw become ricked with desperation strikes. Fine. He'd give Jake this one. Letting go, Aiden had a nearly pissed off look on his face as he made it to his feet. Shaking some feeling into the one leg he used within the calf killer since it was bent too.

Jake looked like he was on the total brink of defeat, his chin swollen for a multitude of reasons and whatever ego he had deflated by Covell's consistent myriad of moves. He clutched the back of his left calf, rolling on his back and facing the Heavens as if God could help him. Jake clawed at the mat after rolling to his stomach, trying to crawl his way to the ropes so he could hobble himself to his feet.

Oh goodie, just look at how broken down Jake looked as he chose to crawl to the ropes like that. Poor thing.. NOT. Aiden nearly snickered in pride for what he had done to Jake thus far. But he already suspected Jake to have more in the tank. After all, both men were able to make it to the Fifth Round of a Best of Five. For Jake to quite out now, would be absolutely uncanny. Giving a mild assist to Jake, Aiden looked to pick the raven haired, tattooed sum'b***h up and push him against the ring ropes. Essentially testing to see just what Jake had left as Aiden attempted an Irish Whip just like Jake had done earlier.

The limp body that belonged to Jake Roman would rest against the set of ropes, adoring every moment of non-contact he could until Aiden sent him into the parallel set of ropes. Rebounding back Covell's way would be a non-issue had Aiden been predictable in the slightest. When he was sent into the opposing set, Jake turned and looked as if he would head back Aiden's way until he grabbed a hold of the top rope at the last second. He stayed in place, subconciously trying to dare Covell to be the one to rush him.

Great. So apparently Jake had done some means of homework and was actually holding onto the ropes to stop his ricochet momentum. Which was fine, but at the same time, it was annoying. Seeing that glint in Jake's eye though, Jake looked as if he wanted Aiden to rush towards him. Which of course, Aiden already saw as a bad idea. However, Aiden had something in mind. Looking as if he was prepping himself, Aiden rushed forward towards Jake. However, he stopped in a perfect halt just two feet away from Jake, regained his stance, gave Jake an easy middle finger gesture. Maybe he would make the guy flinch or something just to 'punk him out'.

And Aiden's plan of being a smartass may have done him a few favors had he not underestimated a burst of adrenalin shooting through Jake's veins. When Covell started running towards him, the Empire looked to meet him halfway and decapitate him in the process with a signature of his, a crushing Western Lariat made famous by the legend Stan Hansen. Jake was at least learning this match not to underestimate the erratic moveset of his opponent. Maybe Aiden would learn to do the same if this connected.

Welp, that was ******** stupid. Trying to 'punk out' an opponent who had made it perfectly clear that they wanted to beat the s**t out of you. Oh well. Aiden couldn't help it. It was the Fifth match of the Best of Five and Aiden really couldn't give a damn about Jake's safety at this point. Maybe, internally, he wanted to put this guy on the shelf just to get this s**t done and over with. Maybe, just maybe, Aiden had enough of constantly being booked with this guy. After all, five weeks of the same old s**t. It gets annoying quick. Being a smartass was trademark to Aiden, but didn't do him any favors in this case. Jake rushed forward and crashed against Aiden's stood frame, half of Jake's body putting full force into a heavy struck arm right against Aiden's chest by his throat. The factor of all of Jake's weight being put into such a move put Aiden on his a** and made him look up at the rafters as he laid there in a near stunned state. That wasn't a move he expected at all.

Jake collapsed to the mat after he mustered the energy to take Aiden's head almost clean off with the lariat. He was panting on the canvas, his only movements for the time being were his incredibly heavy breaths from this match just reaching the twenty minute mark. Keeping up with Covell was a real challenge to say the least, and despite the fans' cheers for Jake interrupting Aiden's consistent offense, the big man was cherishing his chance to catch his breath. Within a couple moments, Roman went to crawl towards his fellow rookie (he would stand had both legs been functioning properly) and drape an arm over his chest, looking for the cover. The hopeful fans chanted along with the referee's count.

One!

Two!

Wisely taking advantage of Aiden's stunned state, Jake seemingly looked to get a pin count on Aiden. One in which as opposed to a hook of the leg, it was as easy as draping an arm over Aiden's shoulders. One! . . . Two! . . . NOPE. Not happenin'. As opposed to his prior method of kicking out from use of his legs, Aiden actually managed to toss his left arm up to break contact from the mat. Rolling over a few feet away from Jake, Aiden stayed on his back for the most part and brought his hands up to his face to wipe the sweat off his face.

Jake had to make the decision of no more breaks during this match. If he didn't give himself any, then he wouldn't have to worry about Aiden recovering and coming back at full force. Roman pushed himself up, his leg wobbling from the damage that had been done from the vicious Calf Killer. He looked to wrap each arm around Aiden's corresponding thighs and demonstrate his power by deadlifting Covell in a powerbomb position. If this had gone according to plan, Jake would seek solace in running towards the farthest turnbuckle and throwing his lightweight adversary into the corner.

From gaining maybe a minutes worth of breath to being lifted off the ground, Aiden had no clue what was going on. All he knew was that Jake seemed to get to his feet faster than Aiden and have enough strength to pick Aiden up cleanly. It was almost a blue, almost, from the point in which Aiden had been picked up, till the moment he felt a quick blunt object impact his back right square between his shoulders. The impact leaving quite a stinger when it came to any quick muscle flexes and the body of Aiden ricocheting off of the turnbuckles that he had collided with onto the mat in a big ole' heap. Arm behind him and back arched, Aiden was displaying quite a sense of pain from that unexpected power maneuver.

And there was no time to waste. Roman knew that he had to take advantage of every available second and every free shot Aiden would give him if he wanted to take control Still nursing his aching leg, Jake ran on momentum towards the to Aiden's side and rebounded off of them, praying to catch him with his good leg by using a variation of the big boot that was made famous by smaller men: the corner yakuza kick.

From both men, the highlight statement seemed to be 'attack with no breaks or hesitations'. Aiden had certainly put in work against Jake early on and for a good chunk of the match. Now however, Jake was taking control and displaying just how powerful he was. Not even that, but possibly even just how badly he wanted to win the match and give Aiden the biggest upset of the summer. Still trying to rub some feeling in his back, Aiden had his eyes closed. Such a decision which proved to be a sincerely bad idea as Jake's speed hit Aiden with such force that his head was shoved to the side viciously with Jake's boot. Ow, was an understatement. Not only was Aiden's back in pain, but now his neck was taking serious damage off that Yakuza kick. Enough that Aiden nearly looked motionless as his body had to adjust accordingly to the pain throughout his body all at once. The only real sign of consciousness was very slow movements of Aiden's head rolling from side to side and his eyes blinking.

With each of his last few maneuvers, the fans' interest in this originally lop-sided contest seemed to grow and grow, with Jake looking to defy all odds and come back from this beating he had taken not only in this match, but over the course of five weeks. The ways that he was trying to punish the aerialist were so dominant and unapologetic (because he had to make up for the unforgiving punishment of Aiden's calculated approach), that after each move the fans had yelled out an impressed "OHHH!" in unison. As Covell's mind looked to be sent to another world after the Yakuza Kick, Jake went to give him a momentary hug. Not because he was sorry for twisting his head around like the Exorcist, but solely for the fact that he wanted to throw the lighter-sized man over his head with a belly-to-belly overhead suplex!
