He went quiet to allow them both to concentrate, but despite himself, he might have hummed just a little. He did like runic carving after all. It kept his mind calm. It kept it at ease. It made things...easier.

Gradually, he was getting worse. The energy and constant carving was cramping his hands, and after a few more failures, he got up and stretched. "Going to walk the garden for a second." He told Noah and left him.
He wandered for a few minutes, checking the plants and then spending some time simply staring out from the greenhouse to look out towards the path leading up to the buildings.
As if waiting.
He came back and sat down again, and resumed his carving.

In the end, he finished the final two perfectly and set them into his case, closing it before leaning back and stretching his arms over his head with a long, drawn-out sigh. "Finally." He got up to stretch his now sore back and looked back down. "I'll go get us something to drink." And with that, he left.
He returned later to give Noah some water and a bag of gummy worms from the vending machines and then left to wander the greenhouse again and let Noah work in peace.

THE STEP I FORGOT TO DO SO I'LL EDIT THE POST BEFORE THE ROLLS TO REFLECT OOOOPPPSSSS In the water surrounding the island there's numerous edlritch horrors of the deep waiting to attack your hunter.

1: a massive sea creature attacks you. Roll 1d20 to escape its gaping maw. If you roll 10+ you escape it, if you roll below you receive 10 damage and need to try again.
2: a bus-sized sea creature attack you. It has 30 HP and 5 auto damage. You can escape it by rolling 1d20 and getting 13+, failure results in auto damage.
3: a small-sized sea creature attack you. It has 15 HP and 3 auto damage. You can escape it by rolling 1d20 and getting 15+, failure results in auto damage.
4: you are safe.
5: you are safe.
6: you are safe. ((Thought I rolled for leaving the water before I rolled but I didn't. I'm going to edit the post before my runic rolls to show he swam out safety.))
