The stones above their heads started to come crashing down hitting people on the head and other's beind crushed under bigger stones, killing them. As the group rushed forwards there were only three exits to choose from. People start to rush for the exits bumping into Akemi as they ran passed her. Akemi knew that if she did pick an exit soon she would surely die herself. With most of the students rushing off in front of her Akemi picked the hallway to her left. She only entered into the hall for a few seconds before the ceiling above the group ahead of her exploded and came crushing down on their heads. As the rocks hit the ground a cloud of dust filling the air and around Akemi's body.
The cloud of dust came flying out from the hall way and into the intersection where the three hallways met. Then Akemi's body came breaking through coughing as some dust got into her lungs while she was escaping death. A hurd of people were seen running for the center hallway and fleeing from the other two choices. 'They were rigged.' she thought to herself. For a second she didn't realize how they were rigged. Was it a trap set from the past or did someone in their team do it. 'No. Those were modern triggers. Which means.'"I knew it." she said to herself and ran for the exit that was still clear.
Following the hallway Akemi soon found herself standing on sand in the scorching heat. She had resurfaced and a good number of the team members had made it out as well. Looking across the way she could see some familiar faces. Ignazio, as well as his familiars, and Lloyd stood in front of Team white. Victor had surfaced and grabbed onto the winged familiar of Ignazio, only to quickly be caught and bombarded with Ignazio's signature display of strength and superiority. The Kin of Iblis flames the young tamer had under his wing transformed into a flaming sword. He started slaying the members of team white, not quite killing them. But enough too put them out of commission.
The heat from the sun was soothing to the young princess. There was no need to keep her body temperature from lowering now that the sun was blessing her with it's golden rays. She walked across the sandy plains, pulling out her guns. A gust of wind blew through blowing sand up off the ground only to hover about shin high. Once she got close enough she stopped walked and spread her feet about shoulder width apart. When she planted her feet firmly on the ground below her her feet kick up some dirt and if blew away in the wind. Holding up her right hand she pointed her gun in the direction of her tamer classmate and fired. The sound of two gun shots filled the air. And when people would look in the direction of where the shots came from, Akemi would be seen glaring at the young brown haired tamer. "Mr. Barthomeloi. I'm afraid I can not allow you to take Titus Fulbright with you." Taking a look around with just her eyes she noticed the true number of white team members remaining only to look back into the tamers eyes."The traitor served you well." Akemi didn't think it was just a coincidence that the only remaining exit would lead everyone direction to Ignazio and Lloyd. Without knowing it, everyone who thought they were fleeing to safety were actually running straight to their death. That is if Ignazio and Lloyd felt like it.

Victor's face couldn't be seen as he was carried off by the bird demon into the air. Blood trickled down from his arm. His other arm hung freely but seemed to have something inside of it's gloved hand. As the demon held it's weapons against Victor and spoke as arrogantly as it's master. He could already feel his body beginning to lose it's motor skills as it overloaded itself with Qi but Victor remembered the time Alexandria had used Qi to heal him, almost overloading him into a coma. He used the same method that he used then to begin relieving the flow of Qi by letting it flow out from his body as quickly as it was producing it. He didn't move however. Being taken up higher into the sky to be tested by the demons. Victor suddenly found himself surrounded by Ignazio's familiars, being taunted by them. Victor remained silent, apathetic at what they had to say. His rage for demons had always ran deep and what they thought or said rarely took his interest. It seemed that recently, that rage had spread to those of his own kind, showing characteristics of the kind that he despised already. The sun had been blocked out by a dragon, surely one of Ignazio's latest recruits in his personal army. Surrounded by his enemy, Victor's gaze looked down upon the sands and was set on forces gathered around a fiery demon. Victor knew the demon well and just what it's flames could do and also knew who was at his side. The bird demon took him just within range of it's master, Ignazio. He spoke of being disappointed at Victor's foolishness and went on to say what he would do to Team White. Victor sulked in his disappointment and had nothing to say to person he once called friend. That person that he had once known, would have given him a ride in his limousine on a cold day just to keep his bike's wheels from losing their grip on the road. It had been the day they had met, under that bridge that Victor would ride to and meditate. How ironic it was that the same two people he had befriended would turn out to betray and embrace bloodlust. Is this punishment for what I did? Is this how I will atone? Victor thought as Ignazio began a ritual that preceded a specific Fatal Verse. Victor was nearly helpless as the binding spell came but he didn't need his body to cover his body in Qi. The barrier he created, shielded him from the Verse yet Victor still remained weak. As time went on, Victor's body and voice began to return to him. The Qi from the gate was running dry and he was regaining control. Ignazio transformed Iblis into a fancy looking rapier that he was sure to use on his team if Victor didn't act. Even the question arose as to why he fought so hard but Victor had known all along but never admitted it, not even to himself. As Ignazio disappeared, Victor looked up at the winged demon, still holding him at the tip of it's bladed feathers. It seemed that somewhere along the way, Victor had found something else to drive him on, not finding his father like before or becoming an exorcist. While the hole he had felt since he was a child had never been filled, it brought feelings of displacement and not belonging. Victor thought that entering the worlds most infamous intelligence agency to find his father would fill that hole but on that path, he had discovered something else. Bearing olive green eyes, Victor's bane had appeared. Affixed to that girl, Victor had fought to understand why she held such sway over him. It appeared as if she was able to fill that gap that Victor had searched to fill. Countless days spent in bliss, Victor had forgotten who he had been or what he had done. He felt that he had finally belonged. It had been that way until recently when Victor saw that it had never been the way that he thought. The things that he had felt had been left unspoken and unresolved although with the silence and absence of the girl, things had been made clear, Victor had been mistaken. He had been alone from the start. Seeing her slay those men had Victor see that what he thought he had found was actually something of his own creation, a fabrication. He had never truly known her and yet he felt that they had somehow belonged together, not caring for their pasts but looking to some sort of future.
Yet, as Victor stared up at the hot summer sun, he felt cool. Blood continued to flow from his impaled arm and covered his head and ran down his nearly naked body. It seemed that at a time such as that, even after slacking in so many of his classes, Victor remembered the teachings of the Bible. It spoke of a place that had no sickness and no pain. Where light covered everything and joy was true. Maybe that's where I belong With not much left to give, Victor chose to give what little he had left which was what little he ever had. “There, I commend my soul.” Victor whispered as he took grip of the demon's other leg and his body suddenly began to emit steam. It poured from his eyes and his ears. The steam came from his mouth and his nose and alike the steam, True Victor rose. A body hung from the demon's talons, pinned and bloody. From his right hand, dropped a ring. Air-storing – The Spirit Dragon -18,950
It seemed like the earth shook as something very powerful went off overhead. The fair haired doctor couldn’t know what force caused the ruins to shake as they had.. All she knew is that whatever it was… was extremely powerful. And it was more than likely that the ruins that topped the cavern had been wiped away. But that was the least of their concerns. As the shaking came to a brief cause there seemed to be a shift in the rock above them. Small particles of dust falling down from above as the world seemed to become still. ‘Oh no…’ Alexi thought to herself as her olive gaze rested on the ceiling above, it was pretty clear the place was going to crumble.. ‘Damn it. Only a matter of time..’ She thought to herself as she began to weave through the crowd. Knowing her objective had yet been met.
The Austrian didn’t look back to watch her comrades die ignoring the sounds of the blasts that came moments later, opting instead to avoid her own death. The sand that filled the place made her steps heavy and forced, and her usually fluid movements- slow. Her olive gaze caught sight of a rock tumbling down from above, the girl responding with a less-than graceful roll. Which in reality looked closer to a clumsy tumble forwards, just out of reach of the massive rock that pierced the sand behind her. ‘That was close.. I don’t have much time..’ Alexi told herself as she placed her hands into the shifting sands, propping her feet against the hard rock nearby. Like a swimmer pushing off the walls of a pool or a runner from their blocks the doctor pressed her feet into the rock firmly before pushing herself away. It would give her a temporary boost in speed till her feet were once more bogged down by the horrid sands of the desert.
The maneuver was enough to get her to the mouth of the northern exit. It would seem a good portion of their forced had survived. With a quick scan the queen could ascertain that thus far all of her class mates had made it through. And that those who hadn’t yet made it through the northern exit were likely already dead. She could guess that it were possible some had made it through the other two exits.. But she could only guess they wouldn’t last long. Ignazio’s familiars were within sight. The bird-woman Alexi was familiar with and another… darker entity. The beast seemed colossal in size, its body dark and bony- it was difficult to make out much more about the creature at the distance she stood. ‘What the hell is that….?’ the Austrian questioned herself.
Alexandria wouldn’t be given much time to think on that matter before her olive gaze watched something else happen. Her eyes widened as she watched a man leap up to grab at the proud bird, a look of concern growing ever more apparent as the girl realized who had made the assault. It was none other than someone she had taken a liking to, someone she would consider to be a friend. The fair haired doctor felt a rush of emotions as she helplessly watched Garuda push away from the ground- taking the boy high up into the air. Her talon’s piercing it his arm as she shook him about ever so slightly, her words were shrill and harsh. Taunting, threatening her companion’s death. “Damn that bird..” Alexandria growled to herself, her face changing from one of shock, to a snarl- ‘Damn it! Victor why?!’ The Austrian questioned herself as she began pushing through the mass of people before her. Caring not who they were, just that they were in her way. Her olive gaze remaining fixed on the bird-woman and it’s captive. ‘Please.. don’t do anything stupid.. Victor.’ Alexi thought to herself as her steps took her to the open sands- out away from her team. She could only watch helplessly from below.
And yet, the boy seemed at peace, as if his thoughts carried him out the pain he must of felt. Out of the oppressive heat of the sun that towered high in the sky above them. The pale haired girl could only wonder what he thought of as he stared- not down at his allies in a plea for help… But at the sun, as if something inside him had been twisted away- a portion of his soul robbed by some problem left unspoken. That was when something very unexpected began to happen, soft words were uttered- although their meaning was lost to the doctor watching below... Her eyes widening as she observed the steam that began to rise from his body, and how he soon fell limp against the wretched bird that held him captive. A single object falling from what the girl could only assume to be a shell of the man she felt she had once known. Alexandria’s body became numb as she watched the small object fall from his bloody body. Tears falling down her checks as she fell to her knees her head down staring at the sand before her, her right hand reaching out towards the object that sat hidden in the sand not far away from her. A ring, the one he used to always wear. The girl sat unmoving in the sand, ignorant to how it swirled about her with the beating of wings above. Her body numb, and pensive, shaking from what she had just seen. Silently sobbing as tears continued to fall. Her mind drifting towards there last moments, the boy’s apparent uneasiness- he hadn’t come to talk about the map. ‘Did you know…? What I’ve done..?’ Alexandria asked herself as her vision began to blur. “That.. was probably the only thing I wished to hide from you…” She said softly between sobs, her right hand collapsing around the ring in her palm.
Minutes of uneasiness passed, although the moment felt like an eternity to the fair hair girl before she picked herself up from the warm sands. She placed the ring within a small bag she had attached to the belt she wore. Shrill words and gun fire echoing in her ears, turning back towards her team her face didn’t hide the distress she felt. Tears still flowing from her watery eyes as the queen began to raise her voice, “Has the sun gotten to you, girl…?! Shooting at nothing like you’ve seen our enemy. The only enemy we have is this damned pigeon and her friends.” Alex asked coldly as she whipped away the tears. Her right hand resting against the hilt of her rapier, keen on getting some sort of revenge;

With no response from his knight, the white king looked back with a stern look on his face. His brow furrowed, as he tried to see where the burly man was. Peering back into the depths of the cavern, the silver haired boy saw the aforementioned knight of his. "Victor, what are you doing? Let's go!" He yelled at him, hoping he'd move, but nothing happened. The burly man stood there, as the large rocks began to fall on top of him. Shocked by the male's decision to stay, and unable to accept, the half breed yelled at him at the top of his lungs. "VICTOR!!" His arm reached out to him as if he could do something to pull him out of the cavern. However, another large piece of debris fell from above, blocking the young man from moving forward. The half breed jumped backward, rolling in the sandy path that lead outside. Looking up at the now blocked path between him and his most likely dead knight, he sat there, clenching a fist.
With an angered expression, the half breed got up, and walked out of the cavern. Once he reached the outside, he immediately felt the rays of the sun beating down on him. At the same time, he could feel his tail struggling to break free from the bonds had created prior to the exam. It was almost as if it had a mind of its own the way it was moving. Luckily, it could not do anything but wriggle and squirm, because of the bonds the half breed put on it.
Being the last one out of the mouth of the cavern, Titus looked back one more time. There weren't any signs of his struggling classmates, and to look deeper into the cavern was impossible as the pile of large debris was covering up the rest of the passage. Whoever else was stuck in there were either dead, or living their last moments in the dark. The silver haired boy clicked his tongue, trembling in rage. Without any more time to think, a loud screech of some sort veered the half breed's attention to the skies. The young man watched as the bird like demon took flapped its wings to reach a higher altitude with something dangling from its talons. Upon further investigation of the situation, it seemed to be Victor clinging on to the demon's ankle. Was the half breed supposed to be happy? Or was he supposed to be shocked? Whatever it was, all he could do was stare at the bird from the ground he stood on below. A dragon of some sort, most likely responsible for the strange change in the dark mist verse from earlier, began to circle the demon holding onto Victor. To Titus, it seemed awfully familiar... Shaking his head, the young man began his trek to what seemed like a flat land in the desert; Obviously from what was left of the ruins.
Keeping his eye on the bird in the sky, the young man tried to think of a way to get Victor down; Without him being dropped from that altitude. 's**t... How do I... What the?' Suddenly, the fighter grasped onto the bird demon with both hands, and emitted a strange white light from his body. The half breed stopped moving, unable to hear the burly man's last words before his body went limp. A ring dropped from the man's hand, and from what the half breed could gather the man known as Victor...'...He's gone..' Clenching his fist, the half breed finally made it to the solid, flat surface on the sand. In front of him were two men fighting the rest of Team White. The Black King, and his swordsman. A dragoon had shot two warning shots for no clear reason, other than to catch everyone's attention. The silver haired boy slowly looked over to the source, and found it to be Akemi, who stated she would not allow Ignazio to take her leader. The half breed's face morphed into an angered expression, as he looked over to his queen. She was... Crying? It did not take long for the blonde doctor to get up and declare her intentions.
Titus looked at her for a few seconds before turning his head toward the two warriors in front of him. '...I don't know what to believe anymore...' Unsheathing his black katana, the young man got into a fighting stance. He was prepared for the two creatures that flew above them, and the two monsters that were attacking his team on the ground. 'Calm down... No use of being a part of this exam if you reveal yourself...' The half breed thought, as he took a deep breath to calm his nerves. Staring down the stone path, the half breed noticed that the brown haired tamer had a crimson sword in his hand. 'So he's able to defend himself as well... This is troublesome.' The young man looked up once more, to see the limp body of Victor in the bird demon's grasp. The ice dragon was flying around as well, putting a large amount of pressure on the White king. He gripped his sword tightly, as he looked back to his own side. Most of the force was engaged with Ignazio and Lloyd, and near him were Akemi and Alexandria. 'A dragoon... and a knight bent on killing the bird woman...' The young man scratched his head, taking looks at the two near him. Quickly, the silver haired boy approached the dark haired girl, deciding on something. "Akemi. I need you to aim for the bird thing over there. I need you to get it closer to the ground.."

Alexandria yelled at akemi for shooting off at nothing. At first glance she swore she saw the brown haired tamer standing in the distance. It would make sense to see him at this time because the familiar of his was so close by. After watching her fellow team mate be killed before her very eyes, akemi felt there was a need to stop Ignazio before he killed anyone else. She turned to looked at alexandria who was clearly crying and upset over the man's death. Instead of owning up to her mistake she quickly came up with an explanation of her shooting. If she was to tell the blonde knight that she was just shooting off into nothing while her beloved was in need it would only upset the child more. Instead, Akemi took her feelings into consideration and lowered her weapon."He deserved an honorable death, did he not? Mr. Barthomeloi's only goal was to capture our king with Victor caught in the cross fire." Even though Akemi was sympathizing for the young knight her face remained emotionless and eyes blank."Don't let your anger blind you. He has clearly given the order to kill if necessary, it won't hesitate to do it again. You will be no exception." Even though Akemi had came down to the conclusion that Alexandria was traitor she couldn't bring herself to turn on her at the very moment. The best thing was to let it go and move on, for now she didn't pose a threat no longer as her sights were set on the enemy. She still wasn't 100 percent sure she was but her puzzle was nearly completed enough to see the picture.
Titus had told Akemi to shoot at the bird and bring it closer to the ground."I will try. Be warned. This demon has the ability to shoot arrows made of air. Seeing we aren't Aria's this will be even more dangerous. I've faced this very demon personally, I very well could of died if our training session wasn't interrupted."After warning the two of them Akemi reached over to her ring that was on her ring finger of her right hand and pulled it off before putting it away in one of the pockets in her belt. If things got to intense and she feared so one else was going to die on her watch she would have no choice but to fall back on her last trump card. The ring itself only kept her from using her powers even if she tried but now that it was off she would be able to use it in a split second decision scenario. Nothing changed on her physically so for now Alexandria would now about her half breed nature. She then raised her right gun up at the bird keeping quite while she aimed. Since there was a slight breeze on their right side Akemi had to aim a little more to the right of her intended target. While the demon flapped it's wings and soared through the skies, Akemi trailed the barrel of her gun with it. She waited for the perfect moment, for when her gut would tell her to fire. As soon as that moment happened Akemi pulled the trigger and started shooting for the bird. She shot a number of 5 bullets trying her best to force the feathery female to move closer to the ground.

As the male was moving through the group of combatants; the male looked as if he was dancing as he moved passed each of the different exorcist and hit them on the back of the neck to knock them unconscious. That was when his body froze and he felt the Qi signature from Victor’s body vanished. He turned his head and looked up slightly then his body changed direction after he heard the gunfire and then listened to Alexandria call out for the recently deceased male. Ignazio bit his bottom lip and sighed. As he rubbed the back of his head and stabbed the transformed Innocentius into the ground, causing the fiend to reappear. The male reached into his rear pocket and removed the flare gun and pointed it towards the sky and closed his eyes. The male pulled the trigger on the gun sending a crimson flare into the sky, causing it to explode within the sky. The male sighed as he shook his head. ’Idiot’”Hyorinmaru, Garuda, Innocentius, we’re leaving. This has officially become a bore.” Ignazio said as he turned his back and began walking away as he reached into his holster and removed the familiar cards and removed the blood across the seal causing the familiars to vanished into thin air. Ignazio stopped moving and tossed a talisman that was hidden in his left sleeve into the air.
As Victor’s body began to fall down a strong gust of wind circled him and carefully brought him to the ground near Alexandria and Akemi. Ignazio turned around and placed his hands into his pockets. ”I don’t usually do things like this but, I forfeit my rights in this exam. ” Ignazio said raising both his arms up into the air after he carefully placed the familiar tarot cards into their holsters. He turned his body to face his enemies and looked at the deceased body by Victor. Ignazio could hear his words through the shared senses of his familiars, but it wasn’t making sense to him. The male never seemed suicidal, but clearly he was, and not just that he wanted it to look as if Ignazio tried to murder him and cause a riot of some sort. The tamer wasn’t one to fall for traps or situations with additional drama. He calmly surrendered, and lowered his arms to his sides and shoved his hands into the crimson suit pockets. ”For the record, I didn’t intend on killing anyone during this exam, nor was I ever planning on slaying anyone from True Cross Academy. Victor committed suicide, I don’t know how, or why, but that wound to his arm could have been healed if he would have surrendered rather than whatever trick he used. All I can tell you he chose a cowards death. He was strong and stubborn, he never intended to rely on any of you and he shouldered all of your pains and troubles. I’m sure he knew what he was getting into by going after one of my familiars. I never once thought I could, defeat him so easily nor did I choose for him to die in this matter. In the very end, it doesn’t matter, he’s gone and he won’t be coming back. This Exam causes one to lose their lives, and he knew the consequences of wanting to become an Exorcist.” The tamer said coldly as he closed his eyes and awaited for a senior exorcist to show up and take him away as well as declare the other team as the winning team.
Ignazio closed his eyes lightly as he thought to himself about the time he shared knowing Victor but never once did he think the male was a true coward until today. Today was a day he found out who was superior out of the two of them, and who had the skills and drive to make it to the top and achieve the title of Exorcist. ”I didn’t want to beat you like this. To think you had the title of my rival in Cram School. Faker.” Ignazio muttered under his breath before he began to chant Buddhist Scriptures for a safe passage to the next life. As he chanted other Arias began to chant with him, as the awaited results. The eyes of the tamer were sealed shut, but it didn’t help the fact the sun was bright and the red flare overhead only made the rays of the sun feel brighter and hotter. Upon completing the scripture for a lost soul, he bowed at his waist and then rose to a perfectly erect spine. ”Good bye Victor, we didn’t know each other long, but you managed to peak my interest, but you’ve lost it for good. Good luck in the next life.”

The pair of wind demons seemed to rapidly pick up pace as the small group hit the desert air. The senior exorcist began to wonder if the dragon could smell the faintest scents of the boy’s blood. It was one of the few things that seemed to motivate the beast below her to accelerate to such speeds. For now, Agnès could only cling to the creatures neck and close her eyes tight- as they flew low and the sand seemed to swirl up to greet them.
Once the ruins were in sight the two demons seemed to slow down and Agnès peeled herself away from the scaly beast. In truth only about eight minutes had elapsed since the flare gun had been shot- and she seemed to be the first to the scene. ‘I guess it’ll be a while before someone comes to collect the bodies..’ The pale haired woman thought to herself as her wyvern drifted towards the ground- not far from where a small collection of students stood, the dead not far away. The group was silent, as if in mourning and acceptance the battle had come to a standstill. Many stood far away clumped together still, despite the time that had passed. Agnès leaped off from the dragons back as he lowered himself slightly towards the ground. Her boots sinking into the soft sands, a grimace crossing the older woman’s face- how she disliked the sand. A terribly uncomfortable substance to walk through.. Especially if one was wearing shoes… It always seemed to sink around one’s feet. That alone was probably the reason the senior exorcist tended to avoid missions that would take her anywhere close to the desert.
Her icy gaze scanned those near her- the young Ignazio, the dark haired half breed she had met before, and the Austrian doctor who seemed to be the most upset about the matter of hand. Agnès let out a soft sigh as she walked towards the collection of students, coming to a stop some distance before them. “The exam is now over. Due to the Black King’s voluntary withdraw- Team White wins!” Agnès announced, careful to project her voice out so that many would hear her words. But their victory wasn’t without its downfall- they had failed to protect their base. That in combination with the more recent events- made it to where the panel would likely be keener to look at individual performance than that of group effort… It was a fair warning she’d have to announce to the masses. “However… Your base was destroyed. Which means you didn’t exactly meet your requirements either. Victory may be yours, but not be surprised if your scores don’t speak for much.” She said to them, with a lazy gesture towards what was left of the ruins… In truth it wasn’t much more than a collection of rock at this point. With that said the older woman turned towards the much smaller group behind her. Her icy gaze not even looking towards the dead, she could sense from some distance away his life was extinguished.
Agnès stood silently for a moment as she observed the three before her, her ears picking up on the sounds of groans and sighs from the masses behind her. She didn’t blame them- terms of their victory were bitter sweet… Sour even. Finally her icy gaze rested on the defeated King, “I was surprised..” The Edelfelt woman began, a smirk crossing her lips, her thoughts interrupted as she watched the wyvern edge closer to the corpse of the boy. His intentions were clear… to her at least. Turning she began to chide the beast “I didn’t say you could have that one..” Agnès said dryly to her iridescent wyvern, in truth he was almost blinding to look at with the desert sun towering above- made his scales seem like they were glowing.
The pale haired woman’s gaze quickly returned to the dark haired boy, “No matter how disappointing the ending to this exam- you are free to go. Unless, of course, you still have something you wish to discuss.” Agnès said to him, the smirk returning to her face and her words jaded. She spoke as if no one else present mattered, as if they may have not been there at all.

Looking up into the sky, the silver haired half breed prepared himself for the bird woman's retaliation. There was no place for him to run or hide on the structure that was now considered the white team's base. Thinking about it even harder now, the half breed stepped away from the source of gun fire. What was he going to do when the bird woman began to assault them with arrows? 'Should have thought this plan out a little more...' The silver haired half breed thought as the dark haired girl took a few shots at the airborne bird demon that was still hanging on to the corpse of his knight.
Suddenly a shot rang out throughout the desert, catching the attention of the half breed. Looking to the brown haired tamer, he saw that he had done something... Surprising, to say the least. 'He gave up?... What?' The young man looked up to the sky, shielding his face from the rays of the sun. The flare gun had been shot; and the itself was traveling upward intensifying the rays of the sun for some strange reason. Or maybe it was just what Titus was feeling. The young man looked at the brown haired male in confusion, and put his sword away as his familiars vanished. The half breed ran a hand through his silver hair, as he let out a sigh. It was only a matter of time before one of the proctors came, and announced the results of the test, seeing as the KING of team black had admitted defeat by using his flare.
Speak of the devil. A pale haired woman stepped almost in between the two parties, and projected her voice loud enough for everyone to hear. " The exam is now over. Due to the Black Team's voluntary withdraw- The White Team wins!" Never before had the silver haired half breed been disappointed or unsatisfied with winning. Not only was his base destroyed, but a large number of HIS teammates had died during the exam, due to his indecisiveness and inability to find the confidence in himself to lead anyone. Of course, the half breed himself did not know the reason why he was feeling this way, but to any other exorcists, that and probably many more reasons would be why he could not grasp a true victory. "However... Your base was destroyed. Which means you didn't exactly meet your requirements either. Victory may be yours, but do not be surprised if your scores don't speak for much." If the silver haired half breed was jumping with glee like he usually would have with a proper victory, that statement would have ruined his optimism. Lucky him. Sighing once more, the young man took the white bandanna off of his neck, and looked at his remaining teammates. As he looked at his teammates, the proctor had looked at the three True Cross students on the solid structure, causing the one that stood in the middle to scratch his head. She turned away from them, and approached the Barthomeloi boy. The half breed shook his head, and began to walk back toward the hotel. The thought of finishing the steak from the Homura restaurant was pleasing to him.
He had nothing to say to his teammates, and all he could do was look at them. The young man couldn't say "Good job!" or get excited about the "victory" at all. There was nothing remotely positive about the second exam, other than the fact that they had passed the two out of the three exams they needed to in order to earn their right as exorcists. Putting his hands into his pockets, he finally began his walk out of the desert. It was going to be brutal; He didn't know how much time it took to get to the ruins in the first place. He did know the general direction he took to get to his former headquarters, so that was a start. Without looking back, he headed back to the hotel, hoping no one would stop him from doing so.

The tamer’s eyes narrowed and shifted to the left as he listened to the announcement of his withdrawal from the second exam and giving the victory towards the other team. He sighed and then turned and faced Agnes as she directed her attention to him but then stopped to address her familiar who was motioning towards Victor. Luckily the woman called the attention of the dragon which allowed him to relax a little. Although he didn’t like the fact Victor sacrificed himself as if he was some emotional child, he wasn’t going to let his body be defiled by a demon; even if that meant attacking the familiar of a proctor. Ignazio raised his head and looked at Agnes’ eyes carefully before turning his head to look away from her and then lowly he said ”Sorry, I can’t remember what I originally wanted to talk to you about. But, I did have a question about what’s been going on in Japan. Has the assignment with Pandemonium been completed yet? I was curious about it, but to be honest, that could wait. I think now is a time to gather all the people whom may have perished in the exam.” he began to shake his head slowly as he spoke and within a few moments the male began to walk away from Agnes and then called over to Lloyd. ”Lloyd, let us be on our way. There is nothing more for us to do here, other than to wait to be called for the next exam.”
Ignazio’s heels of the boots began to sink into the soft sand as he walked away from everyone, and towards Lloyd and his familiars. The male was shocked he wasn’t being forced away in hand cuffs or in a group of highly training exorcist, due to him using his flare. Soon the male stopped walking and then turned around and looked at Agnes. ”Actually I do have a question. The male everyone is crying over, killed himself, I’m curious, I’ve never seen or heard of a fatal verse that kills the user by using all their Qi. At least not so easily; before he passed away, I felt his Qi spike and then it completely vanished and a white haze came from his body. In class, we’ve been taught that it is possible for a soul to leave the body, but I don’t know if that’s exactly what that was.” the Barthomeloi questioned as he glanced over at Titus whom was leaving and then his eyes shifted over towards Alexandria. ’I’m pretty sure everyone wants an explanation over what had just occurred. But, I could be asking the wrong question or even the wrong person. Everything happened too quickly for me to analyze the situation properly. I guess I was in shock, having the thought of taking the life of someone who wasn’t a threat to the balance of Assiah really doesn’t feel right. ’
The wind passed through the area picking up sand and the scent of fresh blood still pouring out of Victor’s forearm where the talons of Garuda pierced through as if he was some kind of fish or cattle for the slaying. That’s actually what he looked like from the ground; prey to some demon or giant bird. The male looked away from Victor’s body and then over at Agnes again awaiting an answer. ”Is it possible for a human to force their own soul out of their body on nothing but willpower? He didn’t have over average Qi for an exorcist, all his focus was on that hunk of meat called a body, while spouting about his beliefs and loyalty in God, yet he never focused on anything other than training his body. He was less than an Aria, so I don’t see how it would be possible for him to take his own life. Logically it doesn’t work with me, and since he was able to do that, would it have been possible to save him or even stop him, even at the cost of injuring the soul itself?”

The young tamer spoke in low tones, his voice difficult to understand if one stood even five feet away. His question about the recent troubles of Japan- Pandemonium; if perhaps the Vatican had silently done away with that trouble without bothering to inform the public. If she had yet killed the game master. In truth it wasn’t a matter she could speak freely about: it was one of the main reasons she had even come to the Exorcist exams. On paper she might have been a proctor and a lesion to the Vatican- but the truth was a bit more than that. It wasn’t typical someone of her rank wasted their time with such trivial matters of observing the talents of ‘new recruits’. However, the issue of Pandemonium was seen as one that could be used as something of a training exercise. At least, that’s how Agnès decided to down play the task when she had presented the idea- and the dumb fools fell for it.
‘I’m afraid I can’t talk about that matter here, Barthomeloi.’ Agnès thought to herself, although her expression remained unchanged as she watched the dark haired tamer take slow steps away from her. It didn’t seem he expected her to answer that question. He began to speak to another who had stepped forward, the Yggdmillennia boy, ‘Unsurprising your knight makes his appearance. I may be needing you as well… you savage.’ Agnès thought to herself as the two boys spoke to one another briefly. It wasn’t but a few moments before the tamer began to ask a question of a different nature- about the death of the fair haired boy who was beginning to look like a slab of meat rather than anything else. The Barthomeloi heir brought up a good question- one she knew he wouldn’t understand with his limited knowledge of how the other meister types worked- there was more to it than chanting, sword work and martial arts. There was a reason every student took aptitude tests when they were enrolled to Academies of the likes of True Cross. Agnès’s gaze shifted towards the dead, analyzing his body to get a feel for what his meister types would have been. From the sheer muscular mass and the lack of another weapon the pale haired woman concluded that he, himself, was the weapon- making him a primary fighter. The Barthomeloi heir’s words brought the senior exorcist to conclude he was likely additionally training to be an aria. However, the young tamer seemed impatient for the older woman to complete her analysis. Describing the boy briefly- his words seemed to almost question if she’d be able to help the nearby students solve the mystery of the deceased.
After a moment of further thought Agnès answered his question, “My guess is he was likely primarily training to become a fighter. Those who have the aptitude for that meister type tend to have an extraordinary sense of willpower. If not anything else- they do after all run at demons and fight them like buffoons...” Agnès said as she crossed her arms over her chest, her gaze shifting towards the desert as her voice drifted off in thought for a moment. “As you may have figured out. He didn’t die from some fatal verse he may have uttered. Instead- as you’ve mentioned he forced the qi from his body. Likely through the use of the final gate. But, as you may know- that alone wouldn’t kill him in this circumstance. What killed him was lack of a will to survive.” Agnès answered, her gaze returning to the group before her. With one struggling to control her emotions the senior exorcist could blindly guess the cause and be fairly close to being accurate. Young fighters were more of a hazard to themselves than anyone else, atleast that was the conclusion the Edelfelt woman had come to years before. The pale haired woman decided to elaborate a bit further on her answer given, her words uncaring of the emotional blow many felt, “If I were to guess… I’d say he likely came to some realization about something he thought to be important. Someone in his life, or a circumstance that came to light that he saw to be a shell of what he had thought it was. The result of which was a severe blow to his inner willpower- and thus he choose to die. So, no- there wouldn’t have been a damned thing we could of done. It after all.. Was his decision.” Agnès said with a faint smile as she turned and took a few steps towards her familiars. Her icy gaze watching An’givare lounge in the sand- his beady eyes somehow resembling a puppies. One that knew he was in trouble. ‘You’re a damnable beast An’givare.’ Agnès thought to herself as her attention shifted back towards the students behind her.
She didn’t care much if they didn’t like what was the most probable reasoning for the boys death. But as far as the older woman was concerned the sooner they came to terms with it the better. They wouldn’t have much time to mourn. The third exam would begin sooner than they thought.
“Is that all you wanted to know..?” The Edelfelt woman asked, not bothering to look back to gain a read of how the students may have felt. It wouldn’t really bother her either way, they could kick and scream all they wanted. Nothing was going to bring that boy back from the dead. Unless forbidden arts were performed- even then. He’d be an empty shell- his soul had already left some time ago.

Akemi watched as the body of Victor slowly floated down to the ground as if he was cradled by a vortex of wind. He was laid down gently as if he was a new born child. She couldn't help but just stare at his motionless body as it laid in the sand. Taking in the thought that this is what she would be seeing almost on a daily bases. Compared to demons, humans were extremely fragile and are damaged and human quickly with little effort on the demon's part. Which made her wonder, what is the real reason humans hunt and kill demons. Was if because it was god work, or do humans simply fear the power of demons. It was told that once demons and humans lived together in peace, so what was it that caused the life long war.
Her concentration on her thoughts was interrupted at the sound of a gun shot. She looked around to see where the sound was coming from but the sight of a flare in the sky caught her eye. Someone had pulled the trigger on their flare gun and quit the exams completely. 'Who could that be? It couldn't be Mr. Barthomeloi.' she thought to herself. Akemi thought to herself. She knew that he was almost forced into exorcism because of his family, but she doubt he would quit something he was winning by a long shot. In fact it seemed that the white team had very little to no hope at winning the exam for themselves.
Soon she heard the announcement stating that the black king had forfited and the White team wins! Akemi was completely shocked to hear that he had forfit his winning streak. Titus had took it upon himself and left the sandy desert and back towards town. Akemi would follow shortly after but was hesitant as Alexandria was distort about Victors death. She wanted to see if she was okay but instead Akemi would just turn around and look away from her and headed back to town. 'sometimes the best help one could give, is saying nothing at all.' she reassured herself as she left the heated waste land

Equipment Name: Banishing Bullets x2 Description: These are known as Banishing Bullets, they are made from sacred steel blessed by four of the world’s most virtuous monks, which is the same method in order to create a demon sword but instead of placing the soul of a demon into the steel, the bullets are in a raw purified form laced in holy water and holy wine, which makes them highly dangerous towards low and mid-level demons. Etched into the side of the bullets is a crucifix which binds this hold power together. Demons shot with one of these bullets can lead directly to death because of the high amount of holy energy. They tend to completely destroy the targeted area so it turns to nothing but dust. A shot to the head is fatal for low level Demons while upper level demons might take more than a single shot to kill them with these bullets. If a mid-level or higher demon is shot with one of these bullets are able to resist the holy power for a period of time but the bullet must be removed as soon as possible if they want to survive and start healing. Locations shot with these bullets won’t heal until the bullet is properly removed. Half-Demons are also affected by these bullets but they tend to suffer milder side effects because of their human side but because they are still demons they will feel as if they are being burned alive from the inside out starting from the location the bullet entered the body and will eventually make its way to their hearts. Hopefully the had survived, but that was a very improbable thought to have. The destruction brought about by Excalibur would more than likely cause whoever escaped under ground to get crushed by whatever rubble would fall down as the foundation of the ruins had been ruined. But, so long as the students of True Cross managed to make it out alive, he would not feel that bad. Depsite this, it was nice to know that the familiars of Ignazio Barthomeloi found his power or more accruately, the power of Excalbiru, to be something worthy of praise. There were no disrespectful and or hurtful comments sent his way, nor were there any comments or questions on why and how he had come into contact and then later ownership of Excalibur. Hyorinmaru had even gone as far as to state that he and Excalibur possessed more fire power than that of the large Fiend himself. To be complimented was one thing, but to be complimented by a creature that held such elegance and fearsome power, it was an honor. "I still pale in comparison Hyorinmaru, but I thank you for the compliment. I am nothing without my blade, but it is more than enough without me." Putting his hand to the area where the tattoo could be bound beneath his clothing, he remained still as Sirzechs and Celebron made their way back towards him. The familiars had then moved into battle, and as they did so, Lloyd remained stagnant in order to watch carefully. As they did so, a black spot of mass had been launched high into the air, and upon closer inspection, that spot revealed itself to be Victor. What was he attempting to do? While he would never have thought of Victor as the type to rush into a battle, he could not understand why he had made that move. If he were to ever face Ignazio, then Lloyd simply would have gone straight for the male instead of trying to challenge one of the three familiars that had been brought forth. Simply bringing the familiars meant that getting close would be an extremely hard feat, but if one could close the gap, then there would be nothing to worry about. However, if one simply threw themselves at the closest familiar to them, then they might as well have stood in the middle of an interstate highway awaiting death.
Fortunately enough, Ignazio was well on his way to explaining why such a tactic made absolutely no sense no matter how it may have seemed in the male's head. Needless to say, Victor's predicament did not stop Ignazio from taking on the other members of the White Team who had decided to charge directly at the two of them. Sure enough, the Black Team's King had come out and only had Lloyd with him as support, but even still, after having their headquarters destroyed, he would have thought that they would have at least thought a little about what they wanted their next move to be. Although, perhaps suicide tactics were simply the go to method for the members of the White Team. In any case, before he could do anything, Ignazio's dance-like movements came to a sudden stand still. What would cause Ignazio to stop mid-fight in order to stand and look around for a brief moment. Then, it hit him. Immediately, his eyes flashed up to where Victor had been caught within the Barthomeloi familiar's grasp. Unlike before when it seemed like despite being caught, he was alive, Victor's body did not move at all. There was no slight expanding of his chest to show that he was breathing or any signs of a struggle from the pain that was undoubtedly coming from the familiar's claws. A signal flare went out, and immediately he had known that the exam had ended. Not only had it ended, but they had lost a member of True Cross. He had not spoken to Victor enough to be really close friends with the male, but there was one person that he could think of that was. Miss Ferdinand. Out of everyone, he expected her to take the death of Victor the hardest.
A pair of dragons had then entered the area and from their backs came a female exorcist. She was more or less here to tell them that they were finished with the Second Exam, but he did want to know what she would do with Victor's body, if she did anything at all. If nothing was to be done with his body, then Lloyd would find a way to bring his body back to the Academy for a proper burial. Both Ignazio and the female Exorcist began to exchange information with one another but as they did so, he simply stood up from his positioning on the ground. Celebron had taken to his shoulder as he bent down to pick up his blazer from the ground. As he dusted it free of the sand and dirt that had gotten onto it, he held it close to his arms before adjusting his shirt sleeves. Sirzechs had moved close behind him in order to move whenever Lloyd would. Seeing as he was now waiting on Ignazio, he simply remained quiet, unsure of what to say about the death of a comrade.
Ignazio listened to the words of the woman, before closing his eyes and accepting what she had said. ”I see, so that’s what it means to be a Fighter.” he muttered before opening his eyes and began to walk through the pressurized sand towards the kneeling Alexandria. He looked down at her with his cold wintery eyes, before opening his mouth and then closing it for a second as he glanced at the lifeless body that belonged to Victor. His eyes shifted and faced his target of interest now. ”Get up.” he growled as he clinched his hands into fist, as they were hidden inside of his pockets. The male’s eyes shimmered as he held back tears, yet he would only admit to having sand within his eyes if she’d ever think about saying he was going to cry over the dead. ”I won’t stand here and watch you cry over something so stupid. People die, it’s part of life and Victor knew just as well as everyone else who died today, the risks of being in battle. To die with his own hands rather than the hands of an opponent is the work of a coward, and he doesn’t deserve your tears or anyone else for that matter. He challenged someone that was beyond his reach and he paid with his life. That’s the way it goes; a man who can’t fight until the very end is nothing more than a waste of air. If you’re hurt so bad, I’ll put you out of your misery now.” Ignazio growled as he began a speech that he had heard once before in his life, although, for it to come from his own lips, made him sick to his stomach, the taste of the words were bitter, they were so bitter that it made the very air he was breathing in taste poorly. ”People live their lives bound by what they accept as correct and true. That’s how they define ‘reality’. But what does it mean to be ‘correct’ or ‘true’? Merely vague concepts.” Ignazio said as he paused for a second and shut his eyes as he flashed back to his mother’s funeral and his father’s words rang throughout his body. It was echoing so loudly that he couldn’t hear his own heart beating any longer. Suddenly his eyes opened as a gust of wind swept along the sand covered fields. His eyes burning with his golden energy, causing a shimmering effect within his eyes; the tears were gone, and all that was remaining was pure anger. ”Their ‘reality’ may all be a mirage. Can we consider them to simply be living in their own world, shaped by their beliefs?” he continued before reaching down towards her to pick her up by her collar. ”You’re not even worth killing, foolish little girl. If you wish to kill me one day, foster your hatred and despise me. Surviving in such an unsightly manner as this, by all means flee, and cling to your unreached life; seeing how that’s all you have left. You might as well pledge your undying love for that moron and face me when you have sworn to live. If now, you can take your own life like Romeo here.” he shouted. The Barthomeloi heir was clearly angry, but the words were not his own yet the feelings he conveyed were. He never once stopped looking at Alexandria, even after the departure of Titus and Akemi. He had words for both of them, but Alexandria seemed to be the one his anger was targeted against; although in a way it was displaced anger. The words were more so falling on the ears of the dead, since a majority of it was for Victor to hear. ’Those who commit the sin of taking their own life won’t go to Heaven in any religion, you’re more than likely going to be reincarnated as the one thing you despised the most in this world, and for that, you will burn in Hell for your sin. Enjoy Gehenna Victor. You save me the future trouble of having to put you down myself one day.’ he thought to himself as he stood there with Alexandria.

The moments after the blonde haired boy’s death were a bit of a faze; a woman seemed to have appeared from thin air to inform them of the exams ending. She had an air of lack of interest in most of the exam entrants- perhaps being some sort of upper class princess not unlike the young tamer who had forfeited. The two had a certain comradery- they definitely knew one another but the Austrian doctor couldn’t be sure who the older woman was. She had failed to introduce herself and it was only implied that she was in fact a proctor of some variety. But the young doctor wasn’t about to question it- for even Ignazio seemed submissive to this woman.
Alexandria just listened to the conversation that brewed between the two, her olive eyes observing other students making their leave. Each putting great space between themselves and the beasts the woman had brought- both were incredibly rare and at the same time dangerous. Perhaps it was because the situation the other students weren’t fawning over the beasts, or perhaps they didn’t know what they were looking at. The fair haired girl could only watch the two monsters with an empty gaze as she struggled to regain control of her emotions. Her mind having shifted from one filled with guilt to emptiness, perhaps her way of acceptance. The two began to discuss how Victor may have met his end, it was a question the young doctor was interested in hearing as well. Although, having been so close.. She had seen how the emotions crossed his face just before he faded away- Alexi already had a good idea why. When the senior exorcist began to speak it became quickly apparent there wasn’t going to be any sugar coated words or excuses. The woman wasn’t interested in comforting any of them. Soon explaining that he likely lost heart- coming to a realization about someone or something… it being a shadow of what he thought it could be or was…?
‘You saw what happened in the restaurant.. didn’t you..? And couldn’t bring yourself to talk to me about it?! Maybe that is what you wanted to discuss before we were so rudely interrupted… You couldn’t wait till the exam had finished?! Couldn’t stand I had played my role of traitor to the best of my abilities…?’ Alexandria thought to herself, as she sat unaware of the Barthomeloi heir’s approach. The girl’s mind was filled with anger, her tear filled eyes flicking towards the tamer’s as he growled at her- having a certain glint of determination and perhaps hate. A look that would likely be interpreted as one of someone who hated another’s guts.
Despite the boy’s orders her body lay unmoving against the soft sands, quietly observing him as he quickly began to lose patience with her. Quickly diving into a rant like speech- his words harsh and unnecessary. Or at least that was how the young Austrian felt about it. Now was perhaps the best time to mourn, it was better to get the tears out before she’d be forced into battle once more. Yet the girl remained quiet as he spoke. Unwilling to bring forth her opinion on this matter- as it seemed like the circumstance bothered him heavily. Was he pissed the one who could be considered the closest thing to a rivalry had now passed into whatever lay behind the gates of death…? And taking it out on her because she could be considered the most likely reasoning for this premature passing..? The Austrian averted her gaze for a moment as young tamer began to speak once more about the bounds of morality and reality- ‘You’re not saying all this for my benefit… are you, Ignazio?’ She thought to herself before the male drew close, grabbing a hold of her by the collar of the black shirt she wore. Pulling her up from the sand with ease, pulling her close if only for a moment. The fair haired girl could only grip his fore arm till he finally let her down on her feet. Only then did she release her own grip on his body.
Her determined olive gaze met his own as he yelled at her- his words just misplaced anger, something she’d have to absorb for the time being. The tears in her eyes were now long gone, after being the object of verbal abuse from the testy tamer. And now she had been given a moment to speak, as the brown haired male had finally found it in himself to shut his trap for a moment. “Foolish as I may be.. Love isn’t something I’ll chase into the afterlife. You’re as much a coward as he is… you didn’t go for the finishing blow.” Alexandria said dryly to him. Her words reflecting on the battle that had passed- his decision to with draw. “You speak about concepts of morality and reality… But this world is only shaped by those who take action.. All others are lambs for the slaughter- and they will all die for their lofty morals. There is no room for those who will dance on the fence of what is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’. I won’t strive to kill you because of Victor’s death. Victor couldn’t accept the reality of this world- or my place in it. Instead, I’ll strive to kill you for the weakness in your heart… I’ve no time for those unwilling to take a life.” Alexandria said with a chuckle, her expression changing into a slight smile as she walked past the young tamer, “I hope it doesn’t come to that… You’re a worthy leader and a strong opponent. I’m not sure I want to face you in battle.. Just yet.”The Austrian doctor said slyly as her footsteps took her out towards the desert sun.

Agnès “Clementine” Edelfelt
Aria || Tamer || Upper 1st Class
Agnès’s icy gaze remained fixed on the simmering sky, in hopes that the other proctors and collection officers would arrive sooner. In truth she was getting a bit hungry having had nothing but a bit of alcohol and coffee to drink thus far. From the yelling and bickering of those behind her the senior exorcist could only confirm that she wasn’t needed any further by them. ‘Such a pain.. I have to wait for the airplanes to get here. ’ The pale haired woman thought to herself as her steps took her near to the snow white kirin who stood uneasy in the soft sands- it clearly wasn’t enjoying the sensations of sand between its “toes”. The slight breeze making the long hairs of the beast’s mane, stockings and tail blow ever slightly. “It’ll be over soon. Just a few…. Speak of the devil” Agnès said to the beast, as her icy gaze lit up with excitement- finally a glimmer of the airplanes that were to be used to collect the dead. A large smile crossing her lips as the Edelfelt woman finally turned about.
The young doctor had seemed to come to her senses and her words just made the senior exorcist giggle a little bit as the girl had begun to walk away. “I see you two get along.. famously. But. I’ve done my part, collection officers will be here soon to carry out the dead. Your welcome to stay till they get here- just don’t get in there way~” Agnès said to them before leaping up onto the Kirin’s back side, her hand running through the beast’s mane. “As for me, I’m out of here. I’ve wasted enough time baby-sitting you lot.” The pale haired woman said with a wave before the kirin beneath her pushed up from the soft sands causing them to scatter- supernaturally swirling up around the two before large ghost like feathers seemed to appear from the creatures sides. Within a few moments the two were up high in the sky. The wyvern however was considerably less graceful, a wave of sand flying back towards the three students who remained as he pushed up from the ground with great force. His large iridescent wings flinging open as he quickly gained altitude to catch up to his master.
