With his head still bowed, he figured the old man would walk up and leave with a warning. However, the sounds of people moving their weapons back into position and the crimson man's cane tapping against the floor caused the silver haired half breed to look up. His face was stern as his eyes glanced around the room, seeing the men in his peripherals and in his immediate line of sight. He kept his hands on his knees, but turned his head to the men standing behind him as well. 's**t.' He was not expecting this turn of events, but realized that he should have seeing as how this was Ignazio's father. If either of them wanted something, they would take it; Regardless of the consequences. Had he really used the blue flames in front of those two? The young man did not remember doing such things. He looked at the man clad in crimson, pointing his cane at the half breed. Things were getting ugly, and fast. The room began to glow crimson, causing the young man to glance around. "Bai." As the brown-haired male called out a quick chant of some sort, the half breed's body tightened up, or rather, he was constricted of any movement because of the immense pressure he was feeling. 'And of course, the man ties me up. Perfect.'
The next set of orders warranted worry from the half demon, but he showed no signs of that. It was more of a stern, straight face from him, as he sat on his bed barely able to move without trying to struggle. A group of more exorcists rushed in through the door, setting up talismans on the walls, and the soldiers set grenades down surrounding the bed. Looking at the brown-haired male once more, he listened to his words. 'The hell does he need to see some blue flames for? The silver haired boy thought, as the Barthomeloi head went on to basically say he was a merciless man. He got in the half breed's face, smiling with malice rather than friendliness. There was obviously no way of getting out of this one without using his powers or getting heavily injured; Dying was a possibility in this situation as well.
The young man looked the man in his azure eyes, feeling the same strange aura as he did from his child, without the weird flamboyancy that weirded him out. No, this was a man that was all business; There would be no sort of surprises with him. The young man was sure to get drenched with holy water if he didn't comply with his demands. "You really want to see some boring old flames that badly?" The young man tried to shake his head, but opted not to simply because the binding prevented him from doing so. "Then I'll need my suitcase with all of my things, sir." The young man tried to sit up to show the group where his bag was, but failed. Sighing, he said the location of the suitcase rather than point. "Its over there next to the dresser. It should have a lock on it." The invisible bindings were starting to get annoying, as they did not permit movement of any kind, other than his eyes.

The male smirked as he once again had got what he wanted without much of a hassle. Tapping the cane on the ground once again, he lifted the spell he had placed on the half demon, and the dragoons removed the timer from the grenades. Soon the male made his way back to his seat and crossed his legs once again before smiling with the simple thought of being entertained. ”Excellent; I figured you would see things my way. You see, Satan hasn’t made an actual appearance in this world in while and the fact we haven’t heard of anyone being born with satanic powers is a little odd you see. So, I want to see them with my own eyes.” he began before placing the cane on his lap and awaiting for the male to retrieve his luggage. ”Be warned, if you try and swindle me child, I won’t hesitate to slay you, here and now. The men and women around you will kill you before you could even reach the exit.” Ignazio said confidently before a woman came up to him and whispered in his ear. He smiled and nodded his head as she confirmed that all the talismans had been set up within the room and outside the room. Ignazio instructed her to activate the barrier to keep everything within the room, sealing off any and all exits possible. The woman trailed off and relayed the message to a few others and the made there way out of the room and entered strange stances and began chanting.
The head of the Barthomeloi continued to sit and wait for his entertaining display to commence. He wasn’t one rush things along, but due to a lot of the combatants this year, he and the others in charge of the exam, had no other choice. But this time, he was breaking a few of the rules in place, in order to make things a little interesting. ”Titus, I want you to use your flames from this point onward in the exams. Don’t enter a fight without your most powerful weapon, even if that is your demonic blood. What’s that boy’s name, the wind apparition at your school; All-something; any ways, we’ve permitted him to use his demonic powers, just off the simple fact he was honest with us about them. What, did you think we would kill you if you told us you were the son of Satan?” he asked as he chuckled a little after speaking to the male. ”You have my word, for your safety in the matter if that’s what you’re afraid of.” he continued as he gave a jackal of a grin, only proven to be as true as the lies the snakes brought with them to the guardians of Heaven. But so far, the male haven't given Titus a reason to brand him a liar or even a snake.
The silver haired half breed saw the smirk the old man gave him after he had agreed to his demands. He could hear the sound of a cane being tapped against the ground, and suddenly, his body felt normal again. He got up slowly, looking at the brown-haired male as he spoke. 'Its true that I've never seen or heard of a demon that uses blue flames...' The young man thought, as the Barthomeloi man gave him the reason why he wanted to see his powers so bad. If he tried to escape at any time, he would be killed on the spot. 'So much for that idea.' The young man shook his head as he walked over to the aforementioned dresser. After pulling it out of its spot, he set it down and began unlocking it. Once it was unlocked, the silver haired half breed pulled the dark red sleeve bag that he was accustomed to, which contained the Kurikara. The sword was set aside for the moment, so that he could lock the suitcase up once more and put it back into its place. He stood in front of the man clad in crimson, listening to his other requests.
The young man took the sheathed blade out of the bag, tossing the bag to the side. His brow rose as the man in crimson asked him to do something insane. 'Use my powers? Are you crazy?' The young man scratched his head as he brought up Alaric, one of the other half breeds in the exam. "Well, of course I did." The silver haired male stated bluntly. "Last time I thought it was okay to reveal things about myself like that, your son and his sword buddy almost killed me. Also, I almost signed my life away with that magic scroll thing." The half breed crossed his arms, still holding onto the Kurikara by the sheathe as he shook his head. Never again would he be put into a situation like that. Ever.
As the brown haired male guaranteed his safety, Titus felt uneasy. Was he telling the truth? Could he trust this man? " Well, there would be the issue of my safety in the exam... But also, what about the other combatants? I'm not looking to kill other exorcists, Mr.Barthomeloi." The young man gripped the Kurikara tightly, firming his resolve. "The only enemies that I can willingly use these flames on are Satan and those that follow him..." The young man said, looking the Barthomeloi in the eye. Once he said that, he shook his head, and sighed. The young man held the sheathe in one hand, and the hilt of the blade in the other. "Well. Here goes nothing..." The half breed muttered, as he pulled the blade out of its sheathe. As soon as he did, the half breed began to glow a light blue aura, and two blue flames floated above his head in the shape of horns. The black Ox tail was revealed, burning a blue flame mainly on the tuft. At the same time, the sword he held was encased in blue flames.

The shock of Qi, activated the Talismans, encasing the room in a specialized barrier. The male in the crimson suit smiled as he began to clap his hands as he was amused and interested by the display. ”Simply magnificent; so these are the Flames of Creation, they are more beautiful than the stories described them to be.” he said as he stood up and suddenly a male began to take pictures of the half demon while he was in his demonic form. ”To think the famous Kurikara is still this powerful to hold yet another demon’s soul within its blade. I’m impressed.” he said as he chuckled slightly. The blue flames reflected in his eyes only made the male’s own azure eyes look like they were burning with the flames that engulfed the child before him. ”Well here’s a little information that will help you want to use your flames a little more in combat; especially in this next exam. We’re setting you up against another demon, one who uses flames just like you, but this demon is reluctant on using her power. That little stunt my son pulled could have easily been dispelled if either of you would have used your flames. But you were basically choosing to freeze to death. Such a pity.” The male said as he began to walk towards the exit of the room and then stopped before turning to face the spawn of Satan. ”Titus, I’m going to make a deal with you, either you use your flames to defeat your opponent, in a timely fashion, or WE’LL kill her for you, and then I’ll personally come and put an end to your life for possessing the demonic flames of Hell. You should choose wisely.” He said as he started walking again, tapping the cane along the ground. The troops, followed behind the male watching Titus with their weapons, and soon the group came to a stop as the Barthomeloi head turned around slightly in order to look at Titus with a smile on his face. ”Didn’t Iggy tell you? Never trust a member of the Barthomeloi, we tend to get what we want when we want it, and will crush anyone in the way of that single thing. You want to kill Satan, that’s fine with me, but in order to do that, you’re going to have to accept yourself as a demon and learn how to fight like one. You defeat your opponent with those flames, and I’ll personally guarantee you training in the same manner I trained Ignazio, and with you having demonic blood, you’ll last a lot longer than he did; or so I hope.”
The male finished his sentence and exited out of the room, walking over the broken pieces of the door and heading to the elevator. ”Remember Titus, it’s kill or be killed, and don’t try and run away, you’re not under the watchful eye of the Barthomeloi House, there is no escape.” he called back to Titus as he walked down the hall, leaving behind five of the dragoons to guard the room and watch Titus’ every move.
Vermeille’s hoves landed gracefully on the white washed stone of the market square. The high noon sun towered above and familiar scents of all varieties of spices and meats hung in the air. It wasn’t far from the beginning of the lunch hour for many of the nearby rogues. The Edelfelt leaped from the Kirin’s back as her icy gaze shifted about the market place, to get a feel of what her options may have been today. A scowl crossing her face as the harsh scents of shell fish overwhelmed her- if there was anything in the world the Edelfelt woman refused to eat.. It was shell fish. Her displeasure would continue to grow as her icy gaze scanned the shalls she by passed- with the exception of a few fruit vendors it seemed there wasn’t a single thing that wasn’t remotely Japanese in nature. Agnès let out a soft sigh as she began to ponder her options, ‘This is such a pain. I’ll need to get some sleep before the third exam begins. I’ve been up most of the night watching those little shits run about like chickens without a head. And now I’ve to eat Japanese food…? Ugh.’
The pale haired woman picked up a few fuji apples and decided on a pair of nikuman buns being the safest option for her consumption. Being essentially steamed flour dough and ground pork- not unlike a pot sticker. Placing one of the warm nikuman buns into the colorful bag she carried on her forearm, the Edelfelt woman took a tentative bite into one she held lazily in the other hand. It was surprisingly good, not terribly rich- but filling all the same. Agnès then began to weave her way through the crowd to rejoin her massive familiars who had found a corner to lounge in while they waited on their fickle master. Upon reaching the pair of demons the pale hair woman finished the last of the bun she had been slowly eating, wiping her fingers on the backside of the napkin she had carried it in before opening it up to wipe any crumbs from her face before throwing the sullied object away. Only then did she then approach her pets, an open hand being quickly met by the soft muzzle of her ghostly white kirin. It’s eyes wide with interest as it new the smells of the apples that were contained in the bottom of the colorful bag on its masters forearm. A small smile crossed Agnès lips as she spoke softly to the beast, “I’ll give you one soon. Vermeille.” The Edelfelt woman said, as she drew near to the creature’s side, her free hand lazily gliding through the creature’s mane. Leaping up to its back the pale haired woman merely whistled a few notes to get the wyvern’s attention. The beast looked up at her before expanding its massive wings and pushing free from the ground it once laid on. The Kirin followed suit, following the beast towards one of the park like zones with in the city.
The park the small group arrived at wasn’t much, perhaps an acre or two of flat green lawn, large trees atleast thirty years old blocking out the hot sun above- provided a much cooler environment below. That said, the park wasn’t very lively with plant life for that very reason- the tree tops too thick for many plants to survive along the ground. A cobble stone path could guide one through the small space, stony benches and lanterns could be seen just off the path. The pale haired woman found one such bench close to the middle of the park, and sat down. Placing the colorful bag to her side as she lazily grasped the second nikuman bun with one hand and one of the apples with the other, watching her Kirin’s eyes light up with excitement.
Ignazio reached the city limits, by the time the sun had completely set, and the moonlit sky had taken over the island. The crescent moon above, twinkled with the starlight high above. The tamer, had took his leave from Lloyd, as he wanted space to himself to think about all that had occurred in the previous exam. The tamer, took his time to return to his assigned room and replenish his supplies and his Qi. The male closed his eyes as he reached his room after waiting on the elevator for a few moments. Reaching his left hand into his pockets he pulled out a black card and waved it across the scanner, causing the red light to turn green, and with a light clicking sound, the door was unlocked. The male placed his right hand on the door and pushed it open. The lights activated with the automatic function designed to the motion of those who entered the room, as the young tamer claimed his room once again. ”What an interesting turn of events.” he said to himself as he bent down and unlaced the boots that hugged his calves tightly, and soon he removed them, one at a time, by lifting his right leg off the ground first and pulling the boot off before tossing it in front of the door; not too much longer he did the same with his left boot. Ignazio sighed and rubbed his legs to get the blood rushing through his legs freely as they once did.
Ignazio made his way over to his bed, but stopped in the middle of the room to turn on the bathtub. The setting he selected was for a natural hotspring, which caused the water to project a light steam as the water began to heat itself. The male began to remove his clothes as he approached his bed. Soon Ignazio was in nothing but his birthday suit. His summoning cards set across his bed within the holster, as well as his throwing knives and blank talismans. The tamer grabbed his personal phone from the bed and tapped the screen with his right thumb a few times, releasing the password lock and soon bringing up the holographic projector. Ignazio made his way back over to the tub that had just became a hot spring. Stepping over the blood colored blazer and ocean colored tie, the male lightly stepped along the carpet as his body was too use to walking on his toes in order to avoiding drawing attention in combat. The male, sighed as he reached the tub as a sign of depression after reading the results for the exam. Although he had forfeited the exam, his overall score was high enough to avoid dealing with a preliminary round, although others weren’t as lucky. ”Great, with Victor out of the competition, there isn’t really much of a challenge for me, but that doesn’t mean I should be sloppy during this exam; the fact that prize money can prove to be very useful to me. ” he said as he slipped his body over the side of the tub and slowly entered the heated water.
The sensation of the water against his sore muscles and draining body were like a kiss from the Gods. Ignazio couldn’t help but let out a moan of satisfaction as he lowered his body in the water, until it reached his chest. He kept his phone on the edge of the pool and slid the hologram in front of him so he could continue to view the information. ”Search; Qualification Exam. Process data preliminary round, and confirm.” he spoke calmly activating another window. It brought up a list of all the remaining members in the examination along with their predicted parameters based off of what was shown in the previous examinations. ”Search; battle locations and times for preliminary round; confirm.” he said as the images of six members from true cross appeared on the screen with times underneath their images and battle locations. Ignazio looked at each of the combatants and soon a countdown began on the first match. Ignazio started to chuckle and then burst out into a full on laugh. ”Lloyd has to fight Miss. Ferdinand, man that’s going to be a match to see. My money is on Miss. Ferdinand at this point. Being from a family of Knights, I highly doubt Lloyd will try and injure Miss. Ferdinand; then again Miss. Ferdinand does have a greater knowledge over things involving the body. In terms of intelligence alone, she surpasses me and Lloyd. This is basically a match of brute force versus elegance and brains; although for this match to start so soon after the second exam had ended, neither of them really had time to rest up, and it’s the middle of the night.” He said as he splashed around in the water before looking at the image of Lloyd carefully and then looked over at Alexandria. His eyes were frozen on the screen as he looked at the selected area and pushed his wet hands through his fudge colored hair. ”Search; Hanging Neck Island; Map; Wandering Forest; full scale, remove stops, digital enhance all properties, and fortify the scale.” he commanded, as the phone was prompted with voice commands and soon a screen appeared on the surface of the water creating a three dimensional forest of the location. Ignazio smirked as he looked down at the battle area carefully. ”Rivers, high land, covered in trees, a waterfall, hidden caves, and a lake. This area is perfect for Knights to do battle, and if it was a Dragoon, they’d have the advantage. The name tags we’re required to wear at all times, shows our position, so the moment one of them enters this area, they should appear on the screen.” Ignazio muttered as he began to play with the technology that was at his disposal. Closing his eyes the male started to think about the battle at hand and then looked up and stared at Lloyd’s picture again. ”But, Lloyd has two familiars, Alexandria is technically out manned in this. She’d be forced to use the area to her advantage, and that’s if she can get out of the range of the Cerberus. I’ve only seen her fight once, and from what I remember, she uses poison through her sword, it’s a sure kill method if she really wanted to kill her opponent. Also there is the fact she can heal herself and absorb Qi. She’s going to be very tough to beat as a Doctor that’s not even thinking about her skills as a Knight.”
A light click came from the door and soon the door to the room belonging to the young Ignazio Barthomeloi opened slowly. A man in a crimson suit entered the room slowly after almost tripping over one of the boots lying near the base of the door. ”This place is a mess. When will you learn to clean up after yourself Ignazio.” the male growled as he entered the room complete and tapped his cane along the ground before approaching his son whom was bathing in the middle of the room. ”I see you’ve been enjoying yourself in this room. Just to let you know, it’s coming out of your account, I don’t see why you had to stay in the most expensive room. You already lost us money for that little stunt you pulled.” the male said as he reached the side of the tub dragging a chair behind him in order to sit down behind Ignazio whom was resting within the soothing waters. The older man reached his right hand out and rubbed the back of the boy’s neck in order to help relieve some of the tension in his neck. ”About this match, I did arrange it. I put my money on Lloyd to win, do you think I should change my bet? You have first-hand experience with all the students from the Academy, right? So when it comes down to who is a stronger fighter, who do you believe would win?” The male asked as he looked down at the hair on the back of the boy’s neck after removing his hand.
The light white mist that filled the room was humid and changed the temperature of the room drastically, making one believe that the room was actually in the middle of some secluded area. The male looked down to check the settings on the tub and noticed the hot spring mode was engaged. He closed his eyes for a second and entered a slight train of thought until his eyes opened again. The crystal eyes looked at the screens being projected before him and looked at the data on each of the combatants carefully. ”Ignazio, I don’t have to remind you about this, but there is no room for error. Your forfeit from before showed compassion towards the other upper level exorcist whom are grading this, but it is also seen as a weakness to the family. You know that, so don’t try and pull that again. Out of all the others in this exam there was only a handful that were able to move forward without having to go through the preliminary rounds. You were one of them if you hadn’t figured that out yet. So, for the final exam, try not to kill anyone. We want to keep as many people in the dark about your powers as we can. It’s bad enough you’ve shown all the participants each of your familiars. You’ll be in trouble if someone figures out your limitations and range in combat. Don’t forget that, you’re physically the weakest out of everyone that you came here with.”
Posted: Sun Jul 27, 2014 7:54 pm
A sudden rush of Qi struck the back of his head as his eyes reverted towards the door and the door was opened by a man with clothes that were more red than blood that flowed. With a light sigh, Ignazio lowered his body into the water and faced the screens again as the male spoke to him with an over just and arrogant tone. ”Hi father, how are you?” Ignazio greeted the man sarcastically as he closed his eyes and straitened his body before the male’s hand was against his neck. This action caused the male to freeze and his eyes to open wide in a sense of terror, but soon the sudden massaging motion allowed him to relax slightly, or at least think about relaxing. Ignazio didn’t turn to look at the male but he did take a moment to think about his question regarding the battle that was to come forth soon. ”Well, in terms of physical strength and skill with a sword alone, Lloyd is defiantly the better combatant in this situation. There’s no one I know that can defeat the Sword Saint Lloyd in combat; especially in fair fight. The battle area selected is pretty basic and adaptable for any Knight, so the area itself isn’t going to be a problem in the fight.” Ignazio said before taking in a breath and then looking over at Alexandria’s picture. ”But, in terms of strategy, adaptively, and skill Alexandria is the stronger fighter in this sense. The fact that she has a lot of different specialties being a Doctor, her sword skills are above the average range. Even if I would take up a sword, she’d more than likely beat me, in terms of physical power. She’s not a push over, that’s for sure.” the male continued before turning his head slightly after the fingers of his father left his neck and he looked at the frozen eyes glaring down at him as if the man was some sort of a god.
Ignazio listened to each and every word the male said and it caused the boy to turn his head back to the floating screens and smack his lips a little. ”I don’t need you to remind me, the fact you’re even here without your security only tells me that you’re up to something. Visiting your good for nothing son who actually believes in sparing lives from time to time, is a little much to ask from Ignazio Barthomeloi the Blood Mage of True Cross. I don’t have time for a lecture father. This match isn’t something I was planning on overlooking, as for all the others, I plan on watching each one and gather the proper information I need on any candidate that I have to face. I don’t plan on losing, and when I entered this I didn’t do it to bring glory to your name.” he snarled as his chest began to rise as his muscles tightened during his rant. The male clinched his hands into fists underneath the surface of the water, in order to hold back his anger and control his Qi, before it went spiraling out of control. The short tempered male wasn’t going to allow his father to get the best of him. ”If I may say so, my little stunt, saved a lot of lives. I could have completely eradicated the other team on my own, even without Lloyd’s help. But you wanted me to get the attention of Akemi and Titus, right? So that’s what I did. I did everything that I could think of without taking too many lives, in order to get them to reveal their demonic natures, but if you didn’t notice, Akemi is too proud to use her demonic powers in an effort of keeping her life as a human her dominate nature; as for Titus, he’s a bumbling idiot, that wouldn’t know the word control or power even if you threatened him. He’s afraid of dying, I made sure to frighten him awhile back. You won’t be sinking your fangs into him in time soon.”
Ignazio controlled his breathing as he snapped at his father in a calm manner, in order to prove that he was right in this sense and refused to back down and would prove that he had a right to the Barthomeloi name just as much as his brother. ”I won’t allow you to do anything to upset the balance. I found the existence of Satan, and that discovery belongs to me. He’ll become a weapon that I use, for whatever means I need it for.”
The male sighed and shook his head slowly before standing up and began to circle the large tub, looking at the large crimson gem on his cane. ”Temper, temper Ignazio. No need to get so uptight over such a trivial matter. The existence of Satan taking the form of a child will belong to you, but you don’t have proof, and have failed to produce proof. While I should actually have proof, you see, I had a little chat with the young spawn of Satan. He’s just as you say; a buffoon of sorts. ” The male began as he was making his second round about the tub. The male’s steps were slow, but steep; his eyes never leaving the face of his son. Ignazio made sure not to lose contact or waver his eyes from the sitting prey that was bathing. ”It’s a little too late you see, for my fangs have already pierced that boy. If he even thinks about denying me what I wish, he’ll receive a punishment that is far worse than death.” the male said as he stopped walking for a moment and then looked back at the crimson stone on the staff and then pointed it at Ignazio. ”That girl, Akemi is the child of Iblis as you’ve confirmed through Innocentius, this Titus is the spawn of Satan and then you have your friend Joushi and that spirited one, what was his name again…ah that’s right Alaric, they are both the children of the Anyaka” the male said before lowering the cane and then tapping the butt against the carpet and smiling. ”The great demon’s children have all gathered around a Barthomeloi, you see, it’s not your will that such a thing has happened, nor will you be able to obtain them all. They are not yours. These demons belong to the state, and since they’ve freely come to us, we will use them as we see fit. You are out of line, and rank as an Exorcist. Stop being a spoiled child and realize that.” Ignazio yelled at the boy. The sudden outburst, cause the male’s crimson colored energy to circle his body in a blind rage.
The head of the Barthomeloi family started to walk towards the door as the aura vanished from around his body. He came to a stop once again and turned to face the male within the water. ”Elegance is the way of the Barthomeloi House, achieve the proper flow and maintain the elegance of your craft. Achieve the knowledge of the root and bring the Barthomeloi name to glory. That’s your duty. Don’t be selfish in your own conquest for power in order to defeat me. Don’t forget it’s those demons that took your mother from you. The very same demons in which protect you. If you want to obtain revenge, destroy those whom are truly evil.” The male said as his bangs covered his eyes for a second and with a simple flip of his neck, his eyes were visible once again. ”I’m not your enemy Ignazio; I’m the only friend and ally you have in this world. Lloyd isn’t anything more than a pawn, just like the rest of his family, don’t get caught up in the theatrics. You want to succeed me, and then you should learn quick and understand what it truly means to be a Barthomeloi. ”

Ignazio watched as his father circled him and began to intimidate him with his words and his Qi. The male’s eyes widen and watered as he felt as if his world had just shattered before his very own eyes. The male was still out of his reach. There was nothing Ignazio could do to catch up to his father at this point. He was too far ahead of him. The range and gap in power was more than a lifetime in size. The male lowered his head and held back tears once again and gasped for air as he tried to avoid his words coming off as weak or lack of conviction. ”Change your bet to Miss. Ferdinand. Her chance in wining this is higher than Lloyds in the current situation. Lloyd used Excalibur during the second exam, and I doubt he’s fully recovered from it yet, and if he is, Alexandira still has her wit to her advantage. The night sky will give her an advantage against Lloyd’s familiars and even the eyes of Lloyd. ” Ignazio said in a low tone. His body was shaking, but it wasn’t in fear it was in anger. He was angry with himself and the lack of power he had. The young tamer stood up from the water with his back to his father and exited the tub and made his way over to the spare towels. The male wrapped a towel around his waist and then grabbed another for his hair. ”You know, everything isn’t about the Barthomeloi House. If you’re only using them as weapons for their own parents, then the same can be said about you. You lust after power, father. You are no different than I am; the only difference is, I don’t bare any hatred for you. You see, my heart isn’t large enough to hold anything so trivial.” he calmly stated as he began to dry his body off with the towel that covered his head as he walked towards his bed. ”I won’t lose my match. I can assure you that. But I won’t allow you to do what you want. I will find a way to beat you one day. This I can promise you. Titus and Akemi may have to be sacrificed this time, but I won’t allow anyone else to be your personal entertainment. There is only room in this world for one true master of the Barthomeloi family; and your days are numbered greatly, sir.”
As Ignazio mouthed off to his father he smirked and turned around to face him from the top of the stairs before placing his arms behind his back and smiling. ”Just kidding.” he sung with a large smile on his face, putting on the act of the happy and charming son of the Barthomeloi. ”I’ll win for sure, don’t you worry.” he said making a cute pose, holding a victory sign next to his right eye, and closing his left eye to wink at the male.

It felt nice for Akemi to take a breath from all the annoyance of people and the drama that followed. Alexandria was the traitor on her team and because she chose to follow through with her treacherous actions, she could of very well lost the closest person to her. This event would lay heavy on the young knight for quite some time, and it could only be assumed that her personality could very well be altered temporarily. Being in her room alone allowed her the time she could think and reflect on the things going on in her life. For now, the results of the exams were on her mind. Not only the scores themselves but the events that had unfolded during the duration of the exams. She has seen first hand all the changes that people were going through all because of a rank status they were wanting to achieve. Humanity was thrown aside and the idea of equality between them was soon forgotten. Lives were taken without a second thought. People were put into dangerous situations by fellow classmates and humans all because they wanted to win. Meanwhile spectators sat around their televisions and radios to get the details of every gruesome act, every death, every battle, all because they wanted to feel the thrill of competitiveness. It sickened Akemi to think that all they want is to be given a good show. It was clear that they had no regard for their lives and the safety of the participants. She had started to doubt on whether or not she had chosen the right path in becoming an exorcist. How would her life of turned out if she would of just stayed home and hide away from the world. The more and more she was experiencing the life of an exorcist the more and more she felt the need to rely on her demonic powers for help.
She was well aware of the dangers of using her demonic powers, especially during the exams where her every move was being watched. During the last exam she had removed her ring and was ready to use her flames just in case she needed to. She had come very close to having to use them, and if it wasn't for Ignazio's forfeit she very well may have used them, and exposing her demon heritage to the world. If everyone found out who she really was she wondered how everyone would see her. Would she been seen as a great ally to the humans of Assiah or a threat to their very extinction. It was normal for half breed to exist in the exorcist world. She was heeded by her human father that if people found out who she really was, what type of blood ran through her veins, people would treat her differently. He had told her it would be best to hide it as long as she could and hoped that she would use her powers only in self defense.
But every time she felt the urge to use her powers in wasn't for self defense or to protect others. She only wanted to attack with the intent to kill, but every time she kept her emotions under check and kept herself from using them. She had only used her flames a few times and had only killed people when she was a child and didn't understand the dangers of her very own emotions. Which got her thinking. 'If I was to lift the shackles off of my emotions, would my demonic nature dominate over my human nature?' Shaking her head at the very thought she quickly looked away from the window. Her gaze shifted down to her hand looking at her ring. She had become angry at herself for thinking of such a thing."No! I can't think like that! Don't be such a fool. You were born and raised in Assiah, no demon can take that away. She said trying to convince herself that she would never fall into her demonic rages. She had accepted her heritage but what she feared was giving in to the over powering nature demons possess.
Akemi was able to lay down a rest for a few hours before there was a knock at her room door. Still in the hotel robe Akemi threw the covers off of her and walked over to the door rubbing her eyes. Upon opening to the door Akemi could see that there was no one that. But instead her clothes were neatly folded on the floor and a manila folder on top of it that had her name written on it. Picking up her clothes she carried them back into her room and closed the door behind her. She walked back over to the bed and placed the neatly folded clothes on the bed and looked down at the folder."Must be about the next exam.' Picking it up she opened it and read the contents that the folder held inside. She was right, it was about what was going to happen next and who she was facing. "Of course it would be him. Doubtful it was picked at "random"" she said and then threw the papers away in the bin and got dressed and headed for the arena she was suppose to be in.

PURPLE FLAMES: TARTARUS FLAMES
Flame Name: The Purple Flames: The Tartarus Flames
Description: The Purple Flames of Tartarus or better known as the Phantom Flames, typically these flames are found within Cerberus demons, they are flames that uses the flames of Tartarus as a doorway with their own flames sending anything they burn directly to Gehenna. When these flames potentially can be used to completely destroy a target in a blaze and send the body to Gehenna to burn in an internal sea of flame, these flames work as a gateway for demons back to Gehenna. Anything touched by these flames will appear to burn and reduce to ash, but they really were sent to Gehenna in a random location. The flames can be directed once one has a mastery over them, but normally the direction or location in which one is sent, are completely random. These flames can be used also in Assiah to become a doorway between two different areas that are burning with these flames, allowing a user to appear as if they have teleportation or even move faster than the speed of light.

BEGINNER RANK: COST = 500 QI
Technique Name: Fire Manipulation Technique Classification: Supplementary Effect Range: Unknown Technique Description: The Fire Manipulation, is a kind of elemental manipulation, which is based on central, energy use, to connect the properties of fire, and handles it well. To be created, the user should focus their energy on a desired point, and thus change its properties to warmth, and to create combustion. This technique, has characteristics associated with the attack, usually being used in techniques and medias release over long distances, and prolonged damage effects and explosions, it is effective to create large fires in the environment affecting multiple enemies. It has also been shown to have a powerful effect when used for increasing the potential for physical attacks or arms. Although superficially shown this technique can be used to heat up the molecules of a body or object, thereby breaking or burning.
Technique Name: Fireball Technique Classification: Offensive Effect Range: Unknown Technique Description: A ball of fire appears between the hands of the caster which can then be thrown. Upon contact with an object, the ball explodes, spreading flames. Caution is necessary when using this spell in enclosed area or forests because this spell affects a wide area. There are many variations that can be seen from the Fireball . In base form, the apparition creates the sphere of fire between their hands to throw towards a target. An experienced apparition can create the fireball with one hand or even with a single finger. In some cases, the area of fire can be created with a size several times higher than normal, becoming even bigger than the demon himself, and in others, it can create multiple fireballs at once and have them simultaneously attack the target.
NOVICE RANK: COST = 10,000 QI
Technique Name: Flame Burst Technique Classification: Offensive Effect Range: Short to Long-Range (0 – 500 Meters) Technique Description: When this technique is activated, multiple fireballs descend from the sky, converging upon the target to create a cloud of fire that damages all nearby enemies through small yet rapid explosions. This technique is a favorite among most mid-level Fire Apparitions because it tends to damage targeted enemy without risk of evasion if timed properly and used against slow moving targets.
Technique Name: Explosion Technique Classification: Offensive Effect Range: Short to Long-Range (0 – 2,000 Meters) Technique Description: This apparition summons a small ball of fire that is dropped from the sky, creating a massive explosion upon impact with the ground. The technique's explosion has a massive effect radius and deals a great amount of damage often to the surrounding areas as well as anyone caught in the blast radius. The technique's beginning with a burst of flame that spirals upward around the user, damaging all nearby enemies. The ball of flame shoots beyond the top of the clouds, reappearing over the targeted enemy after a short delay before impacting the ground to deal massive damage in an exceptionally wide area.
Technique Name: Eruption Technique Classification: Offensive Effect Range: Short to Long-Range (0 – 4,000 Meters) Technique Description: This power changes the medium of the chain reactions that generate user's flames from air to virtually any other solid substance, most notably---earth. To execute this technique, the user gathers his/her Qi into a limb, and upon contact with a physical medium he/she violently disperses the energy which then initiates the chain-reactions to generate massive amounts of fire and heat. When used with the earth, this causes the ground beneath him/her to instantly liquefy into molten magma, which can erupt on the surface as deafening fiery explosions or torrents of liquid flame from geysers. As the flames have a physical component, in addition to their disintegrating touch, they're capable of inflicting massive amounts of crushing damage as they slam into the structures or other creatures.

The sudden beeping of the screen flashed as the first match had begun. The older Barthomeloi walked over to the phone that was set up and tapped the screen to expand the size. ”It would appear Lloyd has started his fight, which means it’s a little too late for me to change my bet. I guess it’ll be time for me to take my leave” the male said as his own phone began to ring. The tune of a victory theme song of sorts filled the room, cutting off the sounds of the rules of the match that were being announced. The male placed his left hand up to his ear and tapped a small earpiece that was hidden in his ear behind his hair. ”Barthomeloi.” he stated as he answered the phone and the music ceased. The male clinched his cane in a slight fury as he was receiving a report and then turned his body away from his son as he began to change his clothes. ”How did this happen?” he asked sternly as he began to walk towards the door and soon stopped before turning and looking at Ignazio. ”I have business to attend to; don’t forget Ignazio, you’re not to lose in this exam.” the male said before returning on his path and opening the door ”Continue, what the hell is that brat doing at the Academy then if two upper level demons managed to break through the barrier. I want a full status report.” Ignazio exclaimed as he pulled the door open and exited the threshold and pulled the door shut allowing it to lock behind him.
The Exorcist began to run down the hall as he was given the report. The crimson colored suit, was like a wave of blood across the air as he ran and began to push buttons along the side of his earpiece. ”Understood; send the Magic Brigade Squad to True Cross now, patch the information over to Edelfelt and Yggdmillennia have them meet me at the Exorcist Hall.” Ignazio commanded as he made his way to the staircase and began to leap down the flights of stairs, landing lightly as he created barriers beneath his feet to cushion the blow as he landed. The tamer continued to move down the stairs rapidly, propelling his body over the railing until he reached the main floor. ”This is an emergency situation; why the hell is this information just now reaching me?” The Barthomeloi male continued to make his exit in a haste, as he entered the lobby and then found himself being circled by men and women in black suits. ”What’s the situation of the students then? Did that idiot at least manage to get them out?” he asked as he continued walking until leaving through the main doors. The commotion piqued the interest of the staff who were asking each other if they knew what was going on. The head of the Barthomeloi family entered a car that was waiting out front of the hotel, but only half of his body was within the vehicle. ”Good, so a majority of the students were home for the weekend, that’s great. Alright, we’ll take care of it from here. Tell the Grigori they have nothing to worry about.” Ignazio stated as he turned the phone off and then looked at the men and women who stood proudly before him. ”True Cross Academy is under attack, it would appear to be upper level demons, currently we don’t know who the attackers are; we’ll be heading to True Cross Academy for a full scale attack. The main priority is protecting the students and saving the remainder of the building. Half of you are to stay here and watch the battle of Titus Fulbright, alert me of any specific changes in his mental or physical state. The rest of you, head over to True Cross Academy now.” Ignazio commanded as he moved the rest of his body into the vehicle and shut the door behind him before the slick black car began to move quickly, kicking up smoke as the tires rotated along the ground and within seconds the car had zoomed off into the night. The men and women in black did as they were told and scattered from their current location and vanished from sight.
The sudden disappearance of his father caused Ignazio to shake his head and sigh, as it wasn’t something he wasn’t use to, but it did spike his curiosity when the Academy was mentioned and when he said brat that could only mean one person in his mind; the headmaster Tavion. Ignazio had finished getting dressed, in a burgundy and brown vest with two brown buckles around the shoulders; the vest was zipped partially revealing the powder blue shirt underneath a long sleeved chocolate colored shirt; both shirts were rolled up to the end of his forearms, reveling the tattoos along his forearms to his wrist. The high collar of the vest was open exposing his throat and collarbone. Another belt was on the outside of the vest, which connected to buckles of the denim colored leather chaps with a light gray wind like pattern along the outside of each leg, underneath the chaps were a pair of skin tight black pants. He didn’t wear any gloves or other form of protective padding around his body, but he had on steel-capped cowboy boots that were dirt brown in color. His left middle finger had a black ring with a crimson gem within the center of it; this was the Ring of the Dark Emperor; although Ignazio had rarely used its power, he always wore it just in case he would need the power of the shadows. His ears were pierced with hoop cuffs as well.
Making his way to his hair, the male pulled it back away from his face, and framed himself nicely before grabbing the crimson string and tied his hair into a high samurai ponytail. The male closed his eyes for a second as he pushed his bangs backwards and shook his hair allowing them to fall on the sides perfectly. The male’s azure eyes shimmered in the light as he turned to look at the projected screen. ”So it’s begun.” he muttered as he began to attach his holster to his right hip, and then slide his throwing knives into their respective places. The tamer was geared for combat, even though his match wasn’t going to start for a lengthy period of time. But after the outburst his father gave, he couldn’t help but think about what was going on at the academy. A smirk came across his face as he shook his head again slowly trying to free himself of the thoughts ”Talk about losing focus; but, one short peak shouldn’t be too bad. Right?” he asked himself as he slid the last of the talismans behind him into the holster that rested above the hidden throwing knives that were behind him. Ignazio walked down the stairs and made his way to his phone. He tapped on the phone as he reached down with his right hand. The phone glowed for a second before opening another window before him. Ignazio’s eyes lingered after watching the Cerberus release a ball of fire towards the forest. Ignazio sighed as he shook his head. ”A frontal assault won’t work. He’s still too rash; will he ever learn to think before acting?” he said to himself before tapping the blank screen before him and a keyboard appeared. Ignazio moved both of his hands along the laser created board and began to type quickly.
The male continued typing along the blue surface until he reached the designated field he was looking for; his father’s access page for the Vatican. Ignazio began to type in the password but once he did it came up as an error. ”What? Impossible, there’s no way that password is wrong” he said as he tried once again but the red error screen appeared again, but this time, after a few second a message appeared on his screen from his father. Ignazio reached out and tapped the messaged, allowing it to open. The message was of the male mocking his son for attempting to look through information that he had no authority knowing about. After reading that Ignazio glared and closed his eyes. ”b*****d. It’s not like I was going to leave to go watch whatever trouble, that idiot is in.” Ignazio said as he crossed his arms, and sighed. He looked over at the screen that showed the battle of Akemi and Titus and noticed that Akemi had reached the area. His gaze slightly lowered in boredom, just because he was sure the match would have been decided by the one who had more skill in such an environment. Ignazio looked over at Lloyd and Alexandria’s battle and smirked as he noticed Lloyd had come in contact to the threads made of Qi. Due to Lloyd’s skills, he couldn’t see the flow of Qi, but Ignazio could see it perfectly. He started to laugh as he saw the formation Alexandria was making as she made her way through the forest. ”She’s like a spider…a Black Widow; after the loss of her husband, she’s ready to devour another male indeed. Alright Lloyd, what will you do against a man eating woman like her. Your strength alone isn’t going to help you.” he said as his eyes caught a quick glimpse of something else. He didn’t full catch it until Lloyd’s blade connected to the thread again. ”She really is a spider, using the vibration of the threads to track the location of her opponent and even absorb their energy from touching the threads once. Such a flawless strategy; Lloyd’s in for a tough battle, that’s for sure.”
As the male was speaking to himself about the battles another message came through the side window. Glancing over at the hovering message, Ignazio reached over and tapped it in order to open it. The male’s eyes widen as he noticed the live feed being sent to him by his father. ”Fire?” Ignazio question as he backed up and then slapped his head. ”Man! All my stuff is still there, there is more than six hundred thousand zeni in my room!” Ignazio complained as he crouched down and began to cry a little to himself before sighing and looking down at the ground. ”I better be getting reimbursed for the damages.” he muttered as he pulled himself up and tapped the screen with the live video feed and sent a message back to his father. Although he wasn’t expecting a reply back, it would be nice to know the answer to his question.
The evening had been turning into a quite outing between the three of them, enjoying the scenery before the exams began. Three battles were to be underweigh during the night, and from what Agnès had heard- one had begun. Between the young doctor from True Cross Academy and the Sword Saint of the savage Yggdamillennias. The Edelfelt woman had only moments before finished drinking her latte she had picked up from a local coffee shop when she could hear the soft chime of her phone. A puzzled look crossed her face, it wasn’t the chime of her email or of some text message- but a separate affair. The woman had a separate sound for all of these things- and an additional one for things of critical importance. It was rare such a message would come, but today would be the exception.
The pale haired woman threw her empty cup in a nearby trash can as she took tentative steps into the alleyway, bringing the phone to her ear as the operator began relaying the information of the events involving the school. There was a certain uncertainty in the man’s words- they weren’t a hundred percent sure on the condition of the school, its master, only that much of the student body wasn’t there for the weekend. And that the school was burning, with two upper level demons having broken through the barrier. It was a huge ******** up if there was one. Once the operator had relayed the message there was a brief mention of her mandatory attendance to a meeting at the Exorcist Hall. With the final request made the line dropped and Agnès’s hand dropped to her side. ‘You really ******** things up this time didn’t you…? Too young for your job. A grave mistake that won’t likely repeat its self…’ The pale haired woman thought to herself as she tucked her phone away once more and turned to rejoin the street, her movements were stiff. Drawing near to the graceful beasts she considered pets the Edelfelt woman could only shake her head in disappointment. “We’ve some more business to take care of.” She said sternly to them, the previous happiness they had observed from the woman had been drained from her expressions. She was clearly a bit upset and perhaps distraught, but the matter of which they couldn’t be sure. The beasts exchanged brief looks between one another but didn’t put up a fuss as their master drew near to her wyvern, pulling herself up on to its back. Within moments the beast’s wings flung out, hitting a few bystanders with a gust of wind or its lean bony extremity. But neither its master nor the beast stopped to apologize as they flew up into the air, shortly thereafter joined by the ghost like Kirin. Their destination at the center of the city itself. The small group wasted no time to reach their destination- perhaps traveling faster than the wind that whipped around them violently. They had after all been on the far side of town.
• "You didn't score perfectly on your first exam,"A delicate voice spoke, filled with mirth and motherly affection. Joushi stirred a delicate silver spoon to mix and harmonise the combination of herb infused heated water and fresh bovine milk. With a carerful and gently tap on the china cup's rim, leaving behind a creamy tawn drop behind on the blue painted lip, Joushi set the spoon down on the matching saucer."And now you've deliberately ignored your summons to the second." A gently sigh breezed into being from the young woman seated opposite to the pink haired Dragoon. Joushi kept green eyes downcast to the cup and saucer, recognising the valuable and expensive china to be worth a good, solid grand. And that was for each part of the set seperately. Picking up the cup, Joushi sipped from it with poise and grace not showing any care but due respect to the porceline. Having picked up the refreshing beverage, Joushi finally slid green eyes up to the woman speaking. "What will those humans think of you." She asked rhetorically. Long, flowing black hair was curled and pinned in a classy and elegant manner, obviously done professionally and skillfully. Make up tasteful and elegant, matching her current style of clothing. The body was well cared for and volumptuous, insighting more admiration than lust in how it was swaddled behind expensive fabrics and prized jewels. The woman appeared little over her mid twenties, but her dark eyes held a depth of many life experiences and a wealth of knowledge. A perfect and prized host for the Italian's mother to posses whenever she had work in this strange city. Or so Joushi would assume. She did like to keep a few favourites in the human world when she visited, and it made sense that she too had one here. Joushi sipped the tea once more before placing it back done to speak.
"They'll think of me as nothing special." The woman nodded in agreement.
"Indeed they should." She agreed."You are at risk of standing out too much as it is. Your father's line of work and family are enough of a cover for you too keep some semblence of humanity, appearing only as a stand out in the context of those who know his work." The woman paused only briefly to uncross and recross her legs, shifting closer to the table before picking up a silver fork, matching in design to the tea spoons. "For you to appear as though of a prodigical and genius would only deter certain individuals from taking an interest in you." And thus the reason for Joushi having been called to this secluded and exclusive cafe.
When first announced and the messages had been sent Joushi had all of the intention of attending the second exam. However, almost immediately after, the pink haired Italian's phone buzzed once more with another message. Two names were listed in the message along with a time, nothing more. Without hesitation Joushi had abandoned the thought of attending the exam, instead opening up a navigational app and typing in one of the names listed - Del La Rosage Cafe - and getting the directions needed. The message was from an unknown cell phone, but very few had Joushi's mobile contact details. For the 'work' mobile anyway. A second mobile, housed in Italy, was linked up to a computer that sends all messages to Joushi's regular phone, scrambling it along the way so nothing could trace the message back to it in Italy, or from the original sender. But Joushi knew that message had been forwarded from that mobile by a glitched graphic that appeares at the end of the contact line of 'Private number'. When the time listed was near arrival, Joushi had set out to the cafe, finding it to be an exclusive hot spot for the rich, powerful, and completely unknown. Anonimity was a must, with even the high-walled 'balcony' section being partitioned by wooden dividers covered in healthy foliage, seperating table from table while a pianist was playing nearby to hide any and all conversation. Inside was much the same, the dividers made of heavy wood and thick fabrics, some were even enclosed completely behind rich, embossed doors.
Upon arrival Joushi had simply given the first name the text message had contained and the Dragoon was silently guided to the balcony area, warm sunlight now almost completely gone as the sun was setting and the high walls stopped it even sooner. Instead the warmth was kept by heated floors and the main balcony wall itself, giving the enclosed spaces a comfortable and clean atmosphere, devoid of the harshness of real fires or even bared heaters. Sitting at a comfortably sized wooden and marble lined table for two was the woman - Annie Bane. She smiled at Joushi's approach motioning for the teenager to sit and take the cup of tea that had already been poured, a small trey of milk and sugar waiting.
"Such as Barthomeloi senior." Joushi spoke. The curtain by the glass doors rustled and the door was slid open, an attendent walking out with a trey in hand. At the table the attendent did not raise his eyes nor speak, simply delivering the ordered food before taking a step back and leaving once more, as silently as he had entered. Annie - in body as it was Anyanka in mind - used the acquired fork to delicately cut into the soft, golden pastry placed before her, arranged with fresh and sugar glazed fruits on a bed of custard. She took a small mouthful, tasting the food before appearing to find it acceptable and returning her attention to the other seated individual.
"Indeed."She giggled airily. "He is such a powerful man, and for you to have gotten so close to his son did make me proud." 'Did,' Joushi noticed. Past tense. She was aware, then, of the stubborness of Ignazio's quarrel with their little misunderstanding. "A shame you have lost his favour so." Joushi, rather than put up any arguement or defensive statement, simply nodded, silken strands of pink hair falling gently before righting themselves as Joushi turned green eyes fully onto Annie once more.
"Indeed." Joushi replied in kind. "I am, however, curious to see if there is any tangible evidence to holding some form of sway over Ignazio, or if it is, in fact, nothing more than a mere illusion he has employed. And quite skillfully so." The food that had been set before Joushi was a slice of French inspired cake. Golden sponge was exposed from the knife's path while the top and edge was coated in an even and glossy pink gellatine of strawberry. With actions almost in exact mirror of Annie's own, Joushi took a thin slice from the cake to taste. It was light, moist, and the glaze was fruitful and tangy, not at all overloaded with sugars as some have been known to be. Joushi made not action of either showing praise or distaste. Annie smiled.
"A curiosity we both share then." Anyanka revealed. The conversation remained light and calm the entire evening, lights slowly growing in brighteness, hidden amongst the foliage of the dividers like fireflies, growing brighter as the sun grew dimmer. They were designed deliberately so as a special touch to keep the customers from becoming broken from their immersive conversations or meals. Anyanka continued eating the tart in slow slivers, as did Joushi work on the slice of strawberry sponge, taking some slices and dollaps of the added fresh strawberries and cream, respectively, that was arranged artfully on the plate as well. Their slowly drained, an attendent coming to refill the cups for them whenever one was placed with a spoon on its rim. As they neared the end of their light desserts, Anyanka changed the conversation. "Pierin visited the field not long ago." Joushi's chin lifted in acknowedgement while eyes remained on the cake, a hand carefully gathering a small amount of the freshly whipped cream onto a sliver of pre-cut strawberry. "Naturally we talked of you. I do enjoy his devotion to you, and have given him my verbal support in working for your admiration."
"He would be a supportive and endearing partner." Joushi replied. The Dragoon knew that Anyanka's acceptance of Pierin's advances were only due to her certainty that her child, Joushi, would neither accept or return them. The pink haired Italian was far too trained to step off the path both parents have already laid flat and smooth before the Beast Charmer. Joushi's own goals, whether set by another or not, held no room for a romance of a genuine sort. A small sound suddenly emitted in their presence, a low buzzing, muffled by the thickness of Joushi's beige cable knit cardigan. With a small word of apology, the Dragoon reached into the open front, a hand finding the phone in the breast pocket. Pulling it free Jou opened it with the intent to check the message before storing it away, only to pause, for a moment, upon reading the full title. "The next exam has been arranged." Joushi explained, quickly skimming the message, green eyes picking out key phrases in the mass of text. "A preliminary duel before the finals." Anyanka sipped her tea, eyes alight with reserved curiosity.
"To make up for your earlier faillings?" She inquired. Joushi only replied with a short nod, pocketing the pohone once more before also reaching for the porcelin cup of tea."May I ask your opponent."Rhetorical again. Joushi would never be allowed to deny her any request, esspecially something so mundane.
"Alaric Erzengel." Joushi responded before taking another sip. Curiously, Anyanka went silent for a second. She repeated the last name, softly, to herself before alighting dark eyes onto the Dragoon.
"Where is to be held?" She inquired.
"The Glaciel Village. Tomorrow morning." The teenager replied promptly. Joushi watched as the slightly older woman - in body only - took on a slightly far away look, her sight turning inwards as she recalled some memories. As quickly as the look came so too did it went, replaced only by a curious humm before she spoke once more. "I'll have to attend this match of yours. I remember a powerful Exorcist that dared once try me. He was an Erzengel as well." A finaly sip and silent placement of the cup onto its saucer later the woman gracefully stood. "The meal is already paid for. Do well. Joushi. And try to have fun, dear." She smiled warm and full lipped before turning to leave through the sliding glass doors and heavy curtains, her hair and dress flowing gently with her movements. Joushi remained behind, allowing the seconds to tick by before shifting to sit further in the seat, leaning on an armrest in thought. Anyanka had been challenged by dozens, if not hundreds of exorcists, surely. Her real age, as well hidden as it may be by her youthful, physical form, did not mean she had gone through the world unchallenged - surely it has been many a time. Yet she seemed to take such an interest in Alaric? Perhaps his father had gotten dangerously close to killing her? Or perhaps his power was on the line of Ignazio's own father, a man whom she has also taking a deep interest to. Birthing half breed children from the most powerful of families - the great exorcist families - would be something Joushi could see her trying to fulfill. Powerful children to further plant her seeds and lineage of power, challenging her fellow Lords and even father...
A small weight made itself known, leaning against Joushi's left leg. Glancing down, green eyes found Kit, in her pure, original fox form touching her nose against a knee. With a nod of the head, Joushi indicated she was allowed the last of the cream and small slice of cake left on the plate. Deliberately so, as Joushi enjoyed the company of a demon with such a refined sense of taste and liking to sweets as the Dragoon's own. Instead, however, Kit continued to gaze up at her master. Jou raised an eyebrow in curiosity, waiting for the Byakko to speak. But Kit did not. Instead, green eyes widened, the previous broken thoughts continuing and forming.
"Alaric is part demon. Of Anyanka's kin." Joushi spoke softly, lips pulled down slightly. The harmonic tunes of a piano continued to trickle unendlessly into the air around them. "... surely you jest. Mother." Joushi added after a pause, head dropping into a hand as the Dragoon played with the idea and little evidence provided that could support such a theory. With those words, however, Kit turned her attention back to the table, gently standing up onto her back paws and resting the front onto the heavy table, pink tongue snaking out and scooping up first the cream and then the sliver of cake in two graceful and precise swoops, like a bird of prey onto a mouse.
Once Kit had finished her small treat Joushi stood from the table, the white and red-marked Byakko following silently behind. With almost silent steps Joushi left, slowly but calmly, taking extra time to sort and settle the information. No. Joushi needed no time to sort or settle anything. Brother or no, Joushi would, and will, kill Alaric if necessary. If it was a job to be done. If it was even asked.
"Time for a proper dinner. Kit." Joushi spoke, the soft purr-like noise that followed heard after being the Byakko's agreement. Perhaps, Joushi mused, the hotel's resturant would provide the Dragoon some interest of company. Otherwise it would be a calm affair before a night of sleep.
