Perhaps. Perhaps Medea had influenced him to some degree. She knew how to spin a good tale. And she had led the clan on many wild excursions in the name of restoring the clan. Ones that often led to disastrous results. But the priestess wasn't entirely at fault. She was always there to assist the clan. She knew a great many things the rest of them had lesser knowledge of. She could be a great asset. She had even helped him gain a foothold on his sanity as well. Even if all things came at a cost.
He almost couldn't believe the words tumbling from Ying's mouth. How could Medea have forced her to do such a thing?? He could scarcely imagine the kind-hearted seamstress as a killer in any respect. If Medea really had ...??
He glanced momentarily in the head priestess's direction, and then back to Ying. The tears bubbling in her eyes nearly broke his resolve altogether. He couldn't stand to see a mare cry. And the thought of causing a friend pain was enough to make him question his decision. He reached into a small pouch at his side, and pulled out a soft cloth, that he offered out with a concerned look of his own. "Well then, dear Ying, how about we see what sort of tasks Charon has to offer, and I'll make my decision after I've seen for myself, hmm??"

Ying took the cloth from Kiwi's hands, blotting her eyes lightly. A small laugh came from her, and she said, "Oh Kiwi, my friend, I am sorry! Look how dramatic I am being." She nodded giving him his cloth back and patting him on the arm.
"I would like that very much ..." She then brought it in for a hug, mostly out of relief that Kiwi would at least try. That was very much all she could ask of anyone. "I believe Charon has requested that we eliminate hostile insanity monsters. Are you ... okay with that?" she asked, very lightly touching his arm. "I will not push you to do anything that might cause you harm ..."
Ying knew very little about insanity, nor how it infected an individual, but she did know that she didn't want to harm Kiwi in any way. That would be the worst.

Eliminating the Insanity. He'd spent this long simply trying to understand it, and there was still so much that baffled him about the illness. But the chance to erase a bit of it from the lives of his fellow clansmen did sound worth the effort. He recalled the time he had fought Senga. He didn't want to see that happen to Ying. Or anyone else, for that matter.
He accepted his friend's embrace, squeezing her gently before letting go. He smiled. "Alright then. It is a bit ... intimidating. But no time like the present, and I'm certain if we're careful I should be fine."
He was actually more concerned for Ying. A part of him was curious how she had grown in battle. And moreover, he wasn't about to let the Insanity touch her.
"Promise me, you'll be careful too, alright??" He squeezed her hand gently.

"The priestess," Yuri nodded, glaring in Charon's direction. If they had the chance to take it, there was not doubt in his mind what they must do. The humans were ruthless, already their kind was in ruins, what would happen if they didn't act swiftly, if they refused to take the very opportunity before them? "Those that want to stay, that's their choice. But we will fight." Lilwolfpard do you guys want to do a fragment run? biggrin
