I Kei I Combos for Hayabusa, please. And this guide isn't bad at all, though, in my opinion, Ayane isn't too dangerous an opponent for him. Yes, she's damned fast, but all the same, her moves and such leave her open at the wrong times altogether, if you can catch the openings. She got tossed every which way the last time Kenrick put her up against my Hayabusa, and he's no slouch with her in the least. There's only one combo you really want to use; Hayabusa has a little trouble getting them started and keeping them going, but he has some pretty good enders. Although Jann Lee and Hitomi s**t on him when the aforementioned is combined with walls, but that's a different story. razz Here's what you want: [U+P], [P, P], [F+P], [DF+P], [P, P, K, K, K] - please note that the first hit cannot be on any type of counter When using the above, if you attacks well enough, you can vary the attacks in certain places. For instance, you can replace the [F+P] with [DF+K]. You can also slap your choice of ender, but the above is recommended for optimal damage, especially if a wall is nearby. 3nodding

But since I've been... relieved from my hellish job at Popeyes (the word "termination" never sounded so good), I can make all the write-ups your hearts so desire... until I get shipped off for boot camp. razz

One Ayane write-up coming at you. 3nodding
Introduction Of the two Kunoichi, I say Ayane is the better, and I'm not talking in terms of character design either. >_>'
I can't remember her story exactly; something about being trained in the more shadowy subsect of the... Tenjin Mon Ninja Clan I think? As such, she became the stronger of the two kunoichi but was... overlooked, so to speak, by the nature of the subclan.
Or some s**t. razz
Stats Cognizance: Since this is DoA2, certain stats don't come into play like in the later games. Wall games/combos for example.
Offense: *** - Whilst having many moves, only about half of those are actually some use. :/
Defense: **** - Ayane actually has a fair amount of mix-ups and evasion moves to keep almost anyone at more than arms length.
Wall: ** - Ayane has many a pop-up, but not many a knockback. sad
Speed: ***** - Ayane is the fastest character in the game.
Learning Curve: **** - Like I said earlier, Ayane has a lot of moves. And like Leifang, she takes time and dedication for you to weed the impractical moves from the effective ones.
Gameplay/Move Notes Play Style: Aggressive
- Ayane players are feared for the simple fact that it can be pretty difficult to guess what's gonna happen next. With enough practice, you could probably get perfect matches with ease. 3nodding
- Ayane is not really suited for juggles. As mentioned above, she has many built-in pop-ups, but many of those pop-ups don't give you enough time to really do anything. :/
- [QCF+K] (M) is best used as a juggle ender. If used from a distance, you're only setting yourself up for hurt.
- The first hit of her [P, P, P] (H, H, H) combo travels quite a distance.
- If you're looking for a juggle ender with a good chance of a wall hit, then [F,F+P, F+K] (M, M) is for you.
- Ayane's [B+Fr+P] throw gives a free hit. Use wisely.
- Ayane's mid-kick reversal also gives a free hit... plus an additional five or so. smile If you really wanna look cool, try tacking on a [QCF+Fr+K]...
- Ayane's [Fr+K] (M) while her back is turned can slide right under high attacks.
- [D+Fr+K] (L) is one of those effective low pokes that's equally annoying becuase one can never seem to see it coming.
- Ayane's best juggle is probably the following:
[F+P, P] -> [P, P, F+P, P] -> [QCF+K] (M, M) -> (H, H, M, M) -> (M)
- Ayane's combos beginning with [P+K...] (H...) make for fancy enders. Avoid [P+K, P, K] (H, H, H) though, the wind-up from the kick can be more disadvantageous than anything else.
- If you really wanna be awe-inspiring and whatnot, then try tacking on a [back-turned; P, P, B+P, P, UB+K] to a juggle.
- Ayane's [back-turned; UB+P] (M) evades high attacks. Yup.
Good Matches Now, I OWNZ you! blaugh
Hayabusa - Try not to abuse your punches with him and don't leave yourself open for too long. Other than that, cake. cool
Tina - Most of Tina's damage come from her multi-throws, much like King in Tekken. Don't let her throw you, or at least, don't let her get in an *entire* throw and you're golden... whatever the Hell that means. razz
Leon - The average Leon player will probably try to knock you down, up (as in pop-up), or into a wall. I'd advise using your pokes and a few punch reversals can go a long way.
Bad Matches Make the bad man STOP! gonk
Helena - Helena actually has a slight reach advantage over Ayane, and her Bokuho stance automatically evades high attacks. Be wary.
Zack - His Beast and Hound combos can leave you crippled, especially if they hit on Counter or above. Not to mention that he actually has more combo options than the lavender-tressed kunoichi. Stay alert.
Leifang - Surprised? I honestly don't see why. While harder to use, a good Leifang can make it so that you never get in a hit. And like Ayane, she has many mix-ups, including moves that seem to hit *this* way but in fact hit *that* way. Use caution.
Optimal Tag Partners Kasumi* Hayabusa* Gen-Fu Bass Jann Lee* Ein (default)
* = highly recommended
All right boys and girls, that's all for today. Tune in next time where we'll discuss how much Ayane actually *does* eat Kasumi for breakfast. twisted
- Jason ^_^
