[Rüdiger Baumann | Table 2]

While his mouthful of water washed his bite of bread down his throat, Rüdiger shrugged one shoulder at Cecilia. The uneaten half of the wheat-morsel was smeared around the porcelain of his plate, soaking up gravy and sweet dressing. "S'alright." A lively table indeed.

Rüdiger moved the bread faster when Leslie began to speak again. His nostrils flared, and he squeezed the tip of his tongue between his molars on the left side of his jaw. He was so focused on the careful order of Leslie's knife and fork that it took him a moment to realize Levent was speaking to him.

"What?"

It was louder than he'd intended. His hand remained poised over his plate, still hanging onto the soft, warm loaf. Levent asked him about the market before Rüdiger had the chance to snappishly reply he wasn't married. The moment past, and Rüdiger let out a long breath, leaning back into his chair.

"Market." A heavily muscled shoulder shrugged and Rüdiger made a noise of affirmation. "I've been bringing alfalfa, lettuce, and corn to export for years." He'd sold carrot to venders this year; an emergency crop when the lettuce had frozen and proceeded to rot in heavy rain.

"What's your line of work?" The sloppy mess of bread was finally bitten into. Rüdiger waved a hand to the others at the table to indicate the question was open to all.

[ Danny Fitz | Table 1 ]

Danny tilted her head at the fact that a few people seemed to know her. She certainly didn't recognize them- but then, Danny had a terrible memory. In one ear, out the other.

"Fancy? S'not really fancy. Well I guess kinda. But I think it's pretty ugly." Steel-plated boredom wasn't Danny's idea of beauty, unfortunately. She took a few bites of her steak, somewhat disappointed to find that it didn't taste that divine. Not bad, mind you. Just kind of mediocre.

Preacher raised an interesting question. "Hm. No one I guess!" she responded with a chipper voice and another bite of her mashed potatoes. "Why'd you ask?"

[Alec Scott | Table 4]

The paler male looked at Jarrell giving a slow nod. "I live not to far from here, have you seen the store Supply Goods? That's my moms shop." He replied, neglecting to mention his step father actually owned it. "But yes, I was born in the Maria district." The teen nodded thoughtfully, answering him truthfully at least on this matter.

"What about the rest of you?" He asked Jarrell curiously, also glancing at Andrea. He eye'd the female Jarrell was already questioning a bit perplexed, hadn't they all introduced themselves? For the most part the leisurely conversation had been pleasant enough. It was hard remembering new names off the bat he had to admit, especially people he didn't know well so hearing it again couldn't hurt.

[Andrea Tanzer | Table 4]

Andrea listened to her tablemates as she hollowed out a roll, filling it with berries. Maybe it wasn't the most polite way to eat... But hey, this was a festival and she doubted anyone cared. It was part of the reason why she'd come, to take a break from the overly hawk-eyed manner watchers in her neighborhood. She perked up at the mentions of game booths, but waited until she was sure Farvardin had finished; unused to dealing with motormouths and unsure of where to break in.

She could, however, totally sympathize with not knowing where you were...

"There's a lovely fish-catching stand the bookstore put up... Haven't been to any of the other stands yet, though." Though she wondered if it wouldn't just frustrate them... Alec did look a little familiar.

Andrea looked a little sheepishly at her plate, recalling the reaction from the boy she'd met at the bookstore's booth. "Sina."

[Alec Scott | Table 4]

Looking at Andrea he actually made a small rude noise at the mention of that particular game. "I was going to try that again today after this before I did anything..those paper nets are so damn lame.." He laughed some shaking his head. "I just want a free book." He confessed sheepishly. "There's a couple other cool ones game wise, I like the bubble pop.." he trailed off a bit surprised by her answer.

"Sina?" He blinked at her, clearly not having expected to be speaking to some one of nobility. He was just a merchants son after all. Hadn't he seen her around the last few days? Then again Alec reasoned with himself, he'd seen a lot of people and hadn't interacted with them all directly.

[Anton Gottlieb - Table Three]

Anton relaxed as Lenore kinda quit the conversation. Thank God, but now the discussion again dipped back in what was mostly glances at one another. He was hoping to hear some interesting tidbits, but not everything can be perfect he supposed. He refilled his plate, again. He had quit hesitating to pile his plate up. He no longer cared. This food was so good, and he was gonna eat as much as he could before he had to go back to scraps. He thought of stuffing his pockets with some, but since he was being hired, he wasn't allowed to steal.

Lenore seemed talkative, maybe she wouldn't mind leading conversation, on a more safer topic, if he gave her something to discuss. Hm, she had been running that fish booth. But, books, he knew zilch about that subject. But hell, he was bored so, he was going to bring it up anyway. "So, Lenore, did anyone ever win that book at the fishing stand?"

[Farvardin Wyman | Table 4]

Farvardin nodded and gave Alec a smile. "Thanks. That would be really helpful!" She said with a small laugh, "I hunt all over but it hasn't improved my sense of direction. It would be nice to know where I'm going sometimes but not knowing is nice too. Gives life a few surprises and you never know what you'll find."

Hearing the other guy speak up and ask for her name made her tilted her head like a dog. Hadn't he heard her when she first spoke? She was pretty sure she introduced herself. Maybe he just didn't pay attention when she did. "My name is Farvardin. Farvardin Wyman." She replied plastering a grin on her face, "What was yours again? I seemed to have missed it when you introduced yourself. Sorry."

"I was also born in the Maria district; up in the mountains." She said before looking at Andrea, "Sina? Really?! What's it like there? Is hunting good there? Or do you not know?" Rapid fire questions appeared now that her curiosity was piqued.

[ Sebastian Schneider | Table 1 ]

"I imagine if you were that starved, you would be rather lethargic and unable to scavenge for food to begin with," Bas mused aloud. He wasn't intentionally being critical of Preacher, and the distant look in his eyes clearly meant he was trying to picture someone in such a depraved state. Bas was from a lower, but middle class, household. He never really had to starve, though he had seen plenty of orphans who needed a good twenty or so pounds added onto their frame. But, once someone got so anemic, they were as good as gone. It was hard to bounce back from total starvation.

He wasn't quite willing to get in-between the little spit between Preacher and Axel. Some people clearly weren't destined to like one another. Bas wasn't even going to pick sides - he was going to sit here and eat his cherry pie. He picked contentedly at his slice, smiling to himself at the first bite.

"Well, I guess it's one of the nicer looking ones," Bas replied to Danny with an easy shrug of his shoulders. "I've seen some pretty shabby and sketchy booths during the festival..." The Fitzgerald name was known well enough, so really it shouldn't have been a surprise the booth was well put-together. Still... Danny did seem to be a bit of an airhead. It was cute, for now. He wondered how much longer it would remain cute.

[Elenore Abendritter - Table 3]

Lenore finished chewing her bite of pie and swallowed before responding. "Surprisingly enough, yeah. Two people, so far, actually. Maybe the manager will come to regret giving books as the prize, instead of like a coupon." She shrugged. "Doesn't really matter to me."

[I am so, so, so sorry that I have taken so long to join in. Ah, if it's alright with the fellow people at table one, we're just going to assume that he was very late and somehow still got a seat.]

[ Deacon Prevost | Table 1]

Deacon hadn't even attended the opening ceremonies for the festival. It hadn't entirely mattered to him, one way or another, since he anticipated the Wallists would yammer on just long enough to make him seriously consider the option to rip off his own ears. Besides, he'd been working. Wood didn't stack itself and other chores of manual labor weren't going to be something that he was about to leave to his mother. Sure, the woman wasn't old, but it was a man's duty to do the work that took muscle and calloused the hands. At least, that's what his father seemed to think, so the now nearly middle-aged son had never argued.

Even if he wasn't a kid anymore, there was an inner excitement that he could barely suppress behind a grin when his mother had shooed him out of her house and demanded he go home and change. Get out and enjoy the festivities, she'd said, with the promise that she and his father would go out to the festival together, later.

Deacon certainly hoped they would. They both needed to kick back and relax, given the chance. At least none of them would have to be cooking, tonight. Better believe that food was the first priority. Hopefully the wait wouldn't be too terrible.

He smelled the food before he'd actually gotten close enough to see the setup at the town square, and when he did the shock of the spread was immediately overpowered by the desire to eat until he felt like he was going to burst.

In trying to figure out just how one was supposed to get in on the face-cramming action, Deacon apparently wandered just a little too close to the woman in charge of things. Maybe he looked like he was lost and needed firm direction on just where he was or wasn't supposed to be.

He might have had to bite his tongue in order to not snap back at the woman who shoved him to a vacant seat, but once he did have his rump planted in a chair he could only be annoyed for a second.

Feeling a little awkward to just start grabbing at things after being shoved right into a group already enjoying their own meals and conversation, Deacon looked to each of them and offered an awkward expression that might have been somewhat like a smile.

"Hi, um... I sure hope I didn't just get stuffed into a seat one of your friends was in?"

With how fast he was steered here, it was always a possibility. Though the clean place setting would say otherwise.

[[Axel Halle || Table 1 ]]

Oh honestly. Did the kid actually think Axel would believe something as stupid as that? Rib pockets? Was he supposed to pity Preacher? In his mind anyone strong and able enough to make a career of thievery was strong enough to find some kind of work instead. More than that, the people at the table were basically stealing food from all the other feastgoers that would come after them, many of whom were just as poor.

It grated on his nerves.

At least the guy trying to devour a whole pie was on his side. Sort of. A little. Axel cast a glance at Bas and nodded as he pointed out that someone starved enough to have "rib pockets" would be inches enough from death.

And then Axel didn't really know what to say. Arguing with Preacher was clearly pointless, but what else could he do? Start a fight? Rat him out? Axel was deeply disapproving of the food-theft, but he wasn't about to go complain to the festival organizers. The best thing to do would be ignore Preacher, but Preacher was really getting under his skin and Axel was terrible at shutting up when he ought to.

The arrival of the sixth table guest distracted him briefly. He glanced up at Deacon and attempted to smile. He was still pissed at Preacher, though, and the smile came out more like a grimace. "Nah. That seat's not taken."

He rounded on Preacher again.

"You," he said darkly, "have a bad attitude. And you aren't nearly that scrawny."

[ Deacon Prevost | Table 1]

Axel's brief acknowledgement was apparently the only confirmation that Deacon needed. Although he was at a slight pause when the boy turned right back to another seated at their table and clearly continued an unpleasant conversation.

Oh. Well, this could prove to be entertainment and dinner. The older attendant cocked a brow and got to work filling his plate while still trying to keep some attention between the two. If a fight was about to break out, he didn't want to miss the first swing. Or... At the very least, he could try and save a few dishes from being ruined in the clash that may or may not come.

He wasn't about to waste time getting his share of meat, and it was precisely that. Inwardly, he would have been happy to try and devour an entire cow, but the idea that others might very well be taking excess left him wondering if his parents would get a sampling of their own. He hoped they weren't too late.

Potatoes, of course. Some veggies and fruit. He glimpsed some desserts, and mentally made note that he'd be getting himself some of the sweets before he let himself leave. Saving the best for last was always a good idea.

[Cyril Lor ll Table 3]
Cyril closed his eyes and nodded back at Shun. Although Shun was more focased on eating than paying attention to his reaction. He knew Shun could care less.

He turned to Lenore with widened eyes."What? Someone actually won that rigged game with the crappy paper nets?" he said in shock.

[Andrea Tanzer | Table 4]

"I think the fish pool... It's almost psychological. You lose a few times and then it becomes personal." Personally, she enjoyed it and found it almost relaxing regardless of whether or not she caught a fish (which she hadn't)... But she knew that most people rather frustrating if they didn't win in their first couple of tries. If the bookstore had decided to charge a small fee, they probably would have made a nice sum.

She smiled, a little nervous. "Yeah, I was born in Stohess of Sina." Her nervousness was quickly forgotten however, as Favardin's nearly overwhelming enthusiasm startled Andrea out of it.

"Umm, well... It's pretty, but I don't really know about the hunting. A lot of people have estates and they do what they please with the land, so I'm sure there's someone who made themselves a nice hunting range."
