She woke several moments later, her eyes still heavy however. All the adolescent could hear was the rambling of her cutely confused mate. She only caught a few words. "Blue. Yes I know" Her voice slurred as she gave a sleepy smile. The wriggling pups almost tickled her and she laughed quietly sweetly. Her limbs were too weak to hold her weight for now, so she lay immobile, her beautiful family beside her. "I have no idea what to name them all." Matakas eyes wondered around the pups, assigning names as they came to her. "Mafuriko means water, or something along those lines, so the blue pup can take that name."
She nodded to the runt. "He seems quite small, so how about Kadogo for him?" Looking to the ginger and ivory pup, she was reminded of the name of a plant. "And he." She nodded to him. "Can be Mtanizi." She nodded with as much enthusiasm as she could muster.
Mtanizi could not hear nor see, so relyed on his touch to guide him. Wiggling his way from his mother he found a large fluffly thing and curled up against it happily. It was warm!
Mataka felt her son crawl into her tail and grinned. Little adventerous one..

He felt the warm wriggling bodies beside him and the heartbeat of his dear mother beneath his head as he rested against the female's stomach, mouth eagerly trying to seek the food that he so desired.
It was an instinct and one he felt strongly.
Feed.
His great ears folded back against his skull as he rolled sideways, his squeaks high-pitched as he found what he desired. He did not need to see when his nose and ears were so intuned.
The whispered voice took the little pup by surprise however for it was quiet and yet audible over the sounds of his siblings.

((Perhaps let all the pup owners get in an RP or two with the pups first? xd ; Who can resist a post or two in the cute wiggly newborn stage? lol ))

Within the squirming mass of newborn puppies, the runt was getting quite lost. Every turn of his head bumped his nose into the siblings that flanked him and he let out many a high pitched squeal with the rest. It was more by chance than design when he found his place to feed - Kadogo was rather disorientated by the sudden change in surroundings.
Instinctively he took his first meal, blindly taking comfort in the milk and his mothers warm side.

At the mouth of the cave, the golden female wild dog laid on her belly for the first time in weeks. Her front legs stretched out in front of her, crossed at her ankles and blanketed by a small little female pup with turqouise markings. Kizaki was really hot too.
Flicking her large ears around, Temari could pick up the noise of pups in the cave. Mataka's pups, so she had finally had them had she? That was good. Technically it was Temari's job to watch all of the pups and pregnant females. But she knew that a female needed to stay with her pups for a long time after they were born. She knew this first hand and wouldn't butt in. Besides, she needed a little bit of time to herself as well.
Both of her male pups were asleep back in the cave. Kizaki had crawled up to her, and laid down. Who was she to say no? After all, she was glad that they could walk now. It was nice actually. She hoped that they could talk soon.

 Poki caught the smell of new puppies, then he caught their noise. Mumbling and moaning with annoyence at the disturbance from his nap, Poki rolls onto his belly and stood up grogily. He could now walk, and he enjoyed it very much. Tahupotiki scampered past the new pups, not paying much attention to them since they were at the moment an 'annoyence'. Instead, he went strait past all of the dogs in the cave, including his brother, and burst out into the sunlight. He imediatly jumped back into the cave. "Aahhh!" He said in response to the bright and hot sun. He didn't have the moblility yet to talk very well, so he just moaned and whinned a second. then stalked out and layed near his mother.

((@_@ SORRY! the weekend ate me alive.))
Sayid, the black and cream pup, yawns hugely, bumbling around to find a good place to flop back down with food, warmth, and squirming siblings. If for now, he found that his life rotated around eating, sleeping, and not getting stepped on too much by questing brothers and sisters...well it really wasn't such a bad thing.

Demani snuggeld his sister again she smelled so funny and what was this? she had ears too he took her right ear in his mouth and start to suck on it he had noticed he liked this flappy ears he didn't know why but he liked them.
He looked back at his mother she was still laying down next to his brother she seemed calm as she always did...then he looked over to his brother where was he going? and now he was screaming too...

As Cushti watched the activities of the pups from outside the den, she couldn't help smiling just a bit. Soon, she'd have her own... She glanced down at her slowly swelling belly, then rose up, stretching out. Her body was telling her she needed something to eat, and what luck... A rabbit!
Creeping slowly, a smile came to her face as she watched the long-eared creature. Keeping out of its scent range, she suddenly pounced forward, years of practice aiding her in catching it by its hind limb. Scratches were a fair price for it as she took swift care of it, settling down with her small meal. Not much, but... It would do. She carried it back, intending to offer some to any dog who was in need of a small snack until the next big meal.

Temari almost let out a warning bark for Cushti. She was pregnant and the female didn't think that she should be hunting. But she seemed to be alright, so she quelled the bark before it left her jowles. Cushti had gotten the hare, so she let it slide, simply giving her a sideways glance full of maternal worry and compassion. She didn't want her to get hurt after all. Or to lose that pup by hunting and pushing her swelling body.
Then she heard Tahupotiki's squeal of outrage. Flicking her head in his direction instantly, worry creasing her brow tight. What had hurt him? Had anything hurt him?
Leaning down she licked her pup softly, nudging him to the sunlight even more. She had a feeling that was the problem with after all. She groomed him slowly and then did the same to both Kizaki and Demani.
Her stomach rumbled a little bit and she let out a yawn. She needed to go eat soon herself, but she couldn't very well leave could she? No, she couldn't really. Not with pups.

Yakuti was all the more lost. Everyone had something to do, or someone to be around. And... just about all the other female's had pups or would have pups... and that was upsetting to Yuka. To say the least. She let out a sigh from her maw as she went to stand next to Temari. She was hoping the femme wouldn't growl at her or something and she was also hoping that something bad wouldn't happen. This whole... pack thing was boring to poor Yuka. She was too embaressed to play and too nervous to do anything but hide from all of them. She was going to leave soon but she didn't know how to tell her only friend. The only one in this entire group which she felt any trust for. Her sapphire eyes watched Temari before the brown dog yawned and Yakuti thought better of saying anything at all.

As Temari stared out over the setting savannah, she felt a prescence near her. She didn't even have to turn her head to know who it was. Yakuti had her own special aura after all. But now there was something else.
"So when are you leaving? You are after all aren't you?" The female didn't even turn her head to look at her best friend. It would hurt to much to know that she was losing her now after finding her once again.
She let her tail thump the ground for a second in aggitation, making it hit the dirt too hard to be considered a friendly wag. "I suppose it would be hard, but I didn't really think you would leave."
At this she let herself hazard a glance at her pale friend. A sigh escaping her muzzle when she did so. It would be a sad day when Yakuti was gone again. Though Temari imagined that she would find a way to meet her, even if it was just in her wanderings at night. After all, when the wind called your name you didn't know who you would meet or where.

Contrasted ears flickered. The dark female glanced to Temari and Yakuti, then smiled. Lifting the hare, she went over and deposited it before the goldne femme. "You sound hungry. You should probably eat..."

Demani didn't want to be washed now..his face looked a little annoyed he wasn't dirty at all maybe his brother and sister was but not him. The little male looked up at his mother with his yellow eyes it was more like begging that he wanted to go outside and see what the world had to offer him but he didn't really understand he was still to small.
He looked at his mother and the other females when he was being washed what where they up to? something was going on but what?
