"Muris, you look beautiful!" Filix told the other, ignoring the class difference. While there was no one else around, namely Rosa, Filix wasn't particularly worried about it. Besides, she could still remember her childhood games with the other, and it only made her feel more proud of Muris's growth. "I'm sorry I was not around for your growth spurts. I hope they were not too painful."
She sat back down on a bale of hay and shook her head. "I'm glad to see you. I just came out to see Fera again, I believe that the bonding could be useful if I ever wished to ride him in unusual circumstances." After an afterthought, Filix added quickly, "Such as a storm, or such?"

Muris blushed a bit at the compliment,
"I don't know about beautiful, but I have grown a lot...the growing was rather painful, but Alcie helped me through it both times, so I wasn't too put out by them."
She took a seat on a bale of hay next to Filix, taking the lack of formality to mean that they were on equal footing, at least for this encounter,
"And you're right about Fera. Horses will do anything for someone they trust. They've even been known to save lives on occasion."

"I cannot believe you're no longer a child. I missed too much... and only in a few months!" Filix exclaimed, a little awe-struck still by the changes. It was hard to take in, the changes. She wondered if Muris had felt so oddly when she'd found Filix older.
"He already likes me, I think. Hates any men to come close to me, like the male he is." Filix reached over to stroke the end Fera's soft muzzle, which had outstretched in an attempt to get some of the hay she was sitting on. "And it is so peaceful down here."
She glanced back at Muris, and asked, "Alcie? Do you mean Alces?"

The mouse nodded,
"It does seem like it happened very quickly...but at least it's over now. For that I'm certainly grateful."
She scootched over to grab a handful of hay to feed Fera,
"Yeah...it really is. Even during the day it's often very quiet..well, except for the horses shuffling around if I don't get them out for their walk fast enough."
She grinned at that, and then blushed at Filix's question,
"Oh, yes. I've always called him Alcie, I guess it's just hard to kill a habit like that."

"Yes... we can grow as a natural fey does from now on. And, so it appears, we can grow in a realitivly peaceful land at the same time?" Filix smiled, the few months of isolation had also forced a change in her craving for action. "I imagine your lifei s peaceful down here then? No romantic interst?"
Filix's lips curled up in a smile, and she gently nudged at Muris with her arm. She was teasing a little, of course, not really expecting an answer.

That hit a sore spot, so to speak. Muris was dying to tell someone..well, to ask someone...but she hadn't wanted to tell Rosa..she'd been worried about the other's intentions, especially with the predatory look Filix's sister had gotten in her eyes when the mouse had asked to continue her training,
"Well, it's not all peaceful..." she began, biting her lip,
"Filix, do you think it's okay for a commoner to love a nobleman?"

"A nobleman?" Filix asked, a bit taken back. She had a vague idea what Muris was getting at, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to believe it... it would be so terribly hard! "Well..."
Filix sighed, and nodded. "I believe it is possible, but it would be a relationship that would be difficult. Others may never accept it, and hard sacrifices would have to be made. However, there'd still be hope for a relationship of such pairings."
She glanced sideways at Muris, and asked, "Who is it that you've fallen in love with?"

The mouse buried her face in her hands, a rather bright shade of crimson,
"I'm sorry. I don't mean to bother you with all this. It's just that I feel like I -can- ask you..that I can trust you to keep this all under wraps, and all."
She sighed, burying her fingers in her hair,
"I don't want to put him through that."

"It isn't a bother for me!" Filix replied, wrapping an arm around the other woman and squeezing. She felt bad for not returning to a social life earlier. "Not at all. I'll gladly listen to you, and it will help you get some of those feelings out that are locked away tightly."
She glanced around, but only Fera was listening, both dark blue eyes locked on them with his ears flickering foward. It was probably too late at night anyway for others to be around, and besides. Filix doubted that her colt would do much more than listen.
"I doubt, if the love is true, that he would mind." Filix added.

RP Session
Filix sat in on a bundle of straw, ignoring the tickling of it as she reached up to rub Fera's soft neck. They'd just come from a ride, and Filix had finally finished the last of the tasks she knew had to be done after that. Not exactly perfectly, Filix had only seen these things done before. But it looked all right to her, and Fera wasn't dancing in his stall anymore.
"Silly boy, you'd almost think all you wanted was a run and a brush." Filix murmered affectionatly, leaning up to kiss his velvet nose. "We'll try a relaxed ride tomorrow, see if we'd gotten the dance out of your feet."

Equus walked into the stables. He had a thin sheen of sweat on him, his breathing ragged, but there was a smile on his face, a small, barely noticable smile. He had just worked himself, trying to make up for lost time, his arms were sore, his lungs burned, but he knew he had more to do.
"Altaea," he called out, taking a moment to regain his breath. He had neglected her last night, his eyes searched for her in the stable, knowing there was a lot of work to do, worried about a small chip in her right foreleg's hoof.

Filix jumped, and stood up quickly. She didn't know that voice, right? Didn't know him, and she could just sneak out a door... sneaking was good, so much better than...
But that wouldn't show much for Filix's bravery, she scolded herself, and forced herself to stand there. Fera was a bit nervous now, her sudden movement and the sound of Equus's voice making him go a little odd. He'd never liked males.
"...um, Equus?"

The male fey's gaze snapped over, looking up towards the speaker of his name. His eyes met hers, and he gave a small smile, "Yes Filix?" he answered her. He would have come closer to her, but he spotted Fera, remembering her, dislike of him, and most of the males in the castle, for that matter. Instead his feet remained rooted to the spot, his gaze focused on Filix, and his smile, a small, charming grin, remaining on his face.

"How have you been? I... haven't seen you for a while?" Filix wasn't sure what to feel. She didn't feel like she felt for him now, good sign. But she was guilty about that, and even more so that Equus had been around feeling the same as ever while Filix discovered feelings for another...
She could tell him that soon though, no point in rushing.

Equus shrugged his shoulders, looking over at Altaea, then back at Filix. The horse seemed fine for now. The fey however seemed, odd, off a little. What was he supposed to say, supposed to do? There seemed an electricity in the air, just as there was moments before a thunderstorm came over the forest.
He eyes were downcast a little, from her face and angled to the right, "I... I've been busy, that's all. There's been a lot on my mind. About, everything."
