Roleplay Session

Session Plot: Lilium takes a stroll

Participants:Lilium and any others who approach her.

Lilium strolled into the courtyard her mind obviously elsewhere. She had been avoiding her court something she isn't entirely proud of but she did it. As she walked she glanced up at the windows which housed her freed brethren and those that have yet to be freed. She can't see them all but enough to cause a frown. She took a moment to sit down on a bench and think.

Lutra, having found the lake she used to swim in, was now thoroughly soaked and heading back to her rooms to change and dry off. As she passed through the courtyard, she saw a woman she didn't know sitting on a bench. The woman was very pretty and was frowning; she looked sad. Why was she sad? Maybe she was looking for something and couldn't find it; that was why Lutra was sad sometimes. Leaving wet footprints, she decided to be helpful, and she walked up to the other fey and looked up at her. "Did you lose something?"

*She looked at the child and put on her best smile* No little one. I have ot lost anything. *She hasn't seen this one. Of course since she hasn't been out and about much thats not surprising. Wonder how many others have been freed lately. Looking on the child she realizes she does recognize her*

*After a brief pause trying to recall the name.* Lutra correct?

Lutra blinked in surprise. She didn't recognize this woman. Maybe she should know who she was? She nodded. "Yes, Lutra. But how did you know? And why did you make this face--" Lutra frowned in her best imitation of Lilium's expression, "--if you didn't lose something?"

RP Session.

Filix sat in the courtyard, on one of the stone benches. She sat quietly, admiring the way sunlight scattered across the courtyard through the trees. It was summer, and the sun soothed Filix's achy muscles. She'd finally gone out and trained all morning, then rode Fera, both heavy exercies a good distraction from the world around her. On a day like today, she could harly believe that just a ride away was the court reponsible for the grief they'd all just endured.

Aes was walked out of the castle and into the courtyard with intentions of testing his staff. The grip was now quite nice with the strip of leather about it, and he was currently using it as a sort of walking stick until he found something he could practice on. Although he was hardly a warrior, Aesculus knew he was decently formidable with his staff in melee- after all, it had helped save Cervus's hide when they were but mere kids.

Her eyes drifted onto Aesculus as he came out, and for a few moments Filix just watched him without saying anything. He had a staff now, or an oversized walking stick... had he been hurt? She'd worried that he had been, Filix hadn't seen him for a while. And in that while, as short as it had been, the Moon Court had been to the castle and back.

"Aesculus?" Filix finally called, standing up and taking a step in his direction. She, although their farewell had been one that Filix had really enjoyed... was feeling that same silly hesitation as ever.

There was hesitation in his step as he turned to the voice, taking a moment to clear his thoughts and see Filix. The Countess.... was here? It had been a while, and so he supposed that he could postpone testing the newly whittled staff for another time. That was certainly something he had plenty of- time.

Clearing his throat he took a few casual strides through him. Inwardly his mind was starting to cloud over with her mere prescence, so much so that, like a nervous boy, he almost forgot to greet her in return.

Regaining his composure he gave her a short bow. "Good evening, my countess." The inflection in his voice coupled with his syntax almost hinted that she was his countess and it was not merely a debonair way of saying hello. But then, one could never be sure.

Filix's entire face lit up in a smile as he turned to notice her, and she took a few more steps forwards towards him. The staff still sparked her curiosity, but Filix pushed that question away for later, when she'd greeted him.

She flushed at his greeting, red creeping up Filix's neck and over her cheeks. She curtsied back slightly, although it was hard with sore legs, and when he'd risen, Filix crossed the few steps between them. She looked up at him, answering with a simple, "My lord."

Then she hugged Aesculus, flinging her arms around him in a quick squeeze. "I haven't seen you for a long time. Are you well?"

He blinked at the sudden hug, but a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. With all the stiffness that courtly behavior frequently required, Alces and Filix had a sort of fresh energy and smile... of course, he only found it endearing in Filix. He didn't really care for Alces in the same manner he did for the countess. Wrapping his free arm around her, he kissed the top of her head.

"I am well, as are you, I gather? I hope you were not too affected by the Moon Court, my countess?"

Filix stood back a little, arms loosing but remaining looped around him. She looked up, and shrugged slightly in a careless manner. A happy glow had taken over, joining in the relaxed sensation left over from the sunshine, so Filix answered, "I'm affected as most of us were. It doesn't matter." The depressing thoughts that'd taken hold since Muris's return would easily ruin both their moods, after all. And it was too nice a day to dwell on that.

Twisting her head to the side slightly, she nudged at the staff's direction with an elbow, asking, "What's this?"

He knew that what had occured with the Moon Court had affected her, and from the way she spoke, most probably rather deeply. His wisdom told him that it was best not to ask or pry- if she wished to talk about it later, she would. It was also refreshing how open she was with him- he never had to worry about deceit.

"This? It is a staff I fashioned from a strong branch of my totem. My kitain gave me some leather for the grip. I had wished to test it's sturdiness, but I ran into something else I'd rather tend to." He smiled gently then at her. Evidently, he was captured.

Filix let go reluctantly, standing to his free side so that he could move easier without a silly girl hanging off him. Filix couldn't tell if he'd noticed anything in what she'd said. If he had, he wasn't pressing. But Aesculus was always intelligent.

"It's beautiful." Filix answered him, reaching out to touch the cool wood surface. Her eyes snapped to him, and that blush came right back again, three times worse than earlier. She grinned, slipping her hand into his free one and squeezing it gently. "I'd come with you if you still wished to test it, I don't mind."

Aesculus could imagine himself fumbling around as Filix gazed on. No no, he was much too distracted right now. His Kithain reassured him that after a while the nervousness would fade and all his reason would return. Until then, he could tell he was but mere steps away from becoming a bumbling idiot in front of her.

"No no, it can wait for another day. With Cervus gone, I feel that I haven't enough to do. This shall be saved for a day less eventful and that offers less means of distraction." Inwardly he groaned. He'd inadvertently called her a distraction. Biting his tongue lightly he hoped she wouldn't notice.
