Jaden felt the king's eyes on his forehead and fought the urge to cover the mark with his hand. he hated that mark, it was almost as if he could feel it there, differentiating him from his brother. They bowed again and went back to their chairs to sit and wonder what they should do now. not everyone was finished and it didn't seem like the king would let them go until they had.

Hayden reached up to touch his forehead, feeling a bit of warmth. he frowned, not sure what it was, but when he looked at his brother, he knew he felt it as well. the spot where the marks adorned their forehead were pulsing heat.

unsure, hayden moved closer to his brother to see, but as he neared, the heat and throbbing intensified. Jaden's eyes opened wide as realization dawned on the both of them. they looked at the king in horror before moving a little ways from each other, the feeling lessening.

Jaden was ready to cry. this was far beyond cruel. how could he expect to suddenly be forced to stay away from his brother. why would the king do this? they were better together, they could accomplish more than they ever could alone, why was he so hell bent on separating them? Hayden slipped his hand into his brother's, ignoring the heat. they had endured their father's punishments for years, he'd be damned if a little heat would keep them apart.

Hayden sent a glare the king's way, daring him to challenge them. if their bond was a hinderance, then maybe they would leave the kingdom and damned king behind. they could survive on their own, making coin was easy with their abilities, they could live quite comfortably. being the son of a noble and ruling his own land wasn't worth losing his brother.

Zach took a deep breath and rubbed his eyes roughly in a feeble attempt to wake himself a little more. He noticed the King stand up and wander around to the other boys who were already working on their paragraphs and grew nervous since he hadn't even started writing just yet. Zach's nerves calmed down once the King sat. He stood up and walked to a nearby bookshelf, not caring which book he chose as long as it wasn't as thick as the humans' bible. More time passed by and he finally read all five books he chose, the second to last book he chose happened to be a type of science book of the mind and the very last book held a subject on medicine.

He began to write, starting in the order he read the books and numbering the paragraphs to be accurate as he tried to ignore his neurotic urge to write a whole page on just one book. Zach was sure the King wouldn't appreciate having to read five pages worth of an opinion or summary. He tried his hardest to write as best he could to impress the King, using fancy words he saw in the books while his nose wasn't more than an inch away from the page. Complete concentration.

~King Ripheus -Library~

Leilus got up for a second time only to silently pick up papers and read them and put them back in front of their owners. All students had finished early, at least some where doing extended research. The twins were already uncomfortable and giving him the evil eye that he brushed off easily. He could feel himself laugh on the inside, their fathers and grandfathers also got a special spell and glyphs applied to them, it was nothing new.

He went back to sit on the couch, letting his students sweat in impatience as he continued to read the book he started.

"My King, third meal is ready." Andius spoke from behind the couch, low tone and only meant for the Kings ears only.

"My friend, I will eat here instead, the comfort of the library is better than the dinning hall this morning."

"As you wish my King." Andius bowed out and left quickly, only to return with servants in tow, pushing individual carts. The servants set plates with domes in front of the students and removed the lids to reveal dinner.

Leilus began to eat, quietly enjoying the savory food.

Sebastian looked up at the servers and realized that they were going to be eating in the study. He sat straight and looked around at the other students being served and even the king. Well, looking at the couch he was sitting on, it wasn't much of a surprise for his comfort,especially if he had a bit of the bookworm in him. When given his dish he simply moved it to the side for the moment, settling with the drink offered, even if it was water.

He started to eat and finished the plate a little faster than he would have liked. That's when he noticed the twins. His attention was immediately drawn to them once they started talking in unison instead bracketing off their sentences between the two. He blinked, the king would usually tell them what to do after dinner, maybe this bold approach was good. Maybe they could retire to their rooms for a spell before the next lesson. He covered his plate with the lid and the servant took it away. He only sat and waited.

Eriso raised an eyebrow at yet another meal. How many meals were there here? Or maybe a lot of time actually passed by and he was unaware of it? With a shrug, he cleared his plate after a long while, eatingg slowly so there was time to digest. Once finished, he returned to reading, though he kept his ears open for any more announcements or even the order to return to the rooms. He could not remember if he finished his letter to his grandfather and he was anxious to send it out tonight.

The twins huffed at being ignored by the king, frowns pulling down theiir faces. fine. FINE. if he was going to ignore them, then they were going to work off all of this excess energy while ignoring HIM. Jaden met Haden's eyes and they nodded at each other before shifting. they changed into a wolf man, one they had recently come up with and that took a bit more energy since the form was twice their normal size. they moved back to their couch and lounged on it, opposite legs crossed. their arms were over the back, their shoulders so wide they filled the entire couch. they had even shifted their clothing, taking even more energy to burn off what they didn't need. they focused on their shift, rather than the boredom of sitting there with nothing to do.

He had heard the twins' attempt to speak to the King but as assumed the poor things were ignored. "Some King you are." he mumbled without caring if the King had heard him. There wasn't anything "His Majesty" could do to break him. Zachariah was sick of being in the same room as the King; the man wouldn't leave them with a moment's peace. He stood up and placed a hand on Eriso's shoulder to grab his attention. "Lets get out of here so we can leave the spoiled child to his precious jewels." he grumbled, waiting for the young man's answer.

"My King, shall I punish them?"

"No, let them be. If they refuse to spend time with me, then let it be."

"As you wish." Andius returned to his spot.

Indeed, the King had noted the change in the twins, and the two leaving. it will be their own undoing because they refused to get to know their King. Leilus merely turned the page. They needed to observant in his actions.
