As Aneta and Arron neared her parents' home, she leaned her head on Arron's shoulder. "I just told Daddy that we're coming." She smiled, "He was surprised."
Roman eyed the door to the home he shared with his lifemate. "Our daughter is bringing home the male fate chose for her." His face was grim and he thought about bringing out his old sword to polish and sharpen.

Sunrise Song shifted from foot to foot i'm slightly nervous, is that normal as a mother? she nuzzled into her lifemate i'm sure he's a fine gentleman...

Arron hugged her close to him.I admit... I'm a little nervous meeting your parents.... he told her on their intimate path. I'm not exactly what your father would expect for a son-in-law.

Roman nodded, I'm sure that it is. But you will be fine. And I won't hurt him. At least not yet. He winked at Sunrise Song.
Aneta kissed Arron's cheek. You'll be fine. You were meant for me. And he really can't hurt you without hurting me. So you're pretty safe. I won't let anything happen to you.
Aneta knocked on the door of her parents' house.

Sunrise Song smiled at that thought, even though she shouldn't be Oh..come now..dear don't me like that, get to know him first before you decide to harm him she said with a small grin as she heard a knock on the door, she looked at her lifemate Well, here we go.

Arron took a deep breath in and let it out slowly. He took her hoof in his and held it gently but firmly, trying to keep his mind calm and his face blank.

Roman answered the door, looking as tall and as imposing as he could muster.
Unfortunately for Roman, Aneta could see right through the tough facade. She let go of her lifemate's hoof and tackled her father with a hug. "Hi Daddy! I want you to meet my lifemate, Arron!" She let go of her father and moved back to Arron, entwining herself around him, smiling brightly the whole time.
The tough carpathian melted. How could he be gruff when his daughter was so happy? It radiated from her in waves. He wondered if she knew she was broadcasting it so. Probably not. He offered his hoof to Arron in the tradtional way. "It is good to meet my daughter's lifemate. I am pleased that she is so happy."

Arron blinked and it took him a small moment to realize daddy wasn't going eat him. Shaking his head, he smiled and took his new father-in-law's hoof in the traditional way.
"It's a pleasure to meet my lifemate's parents."

"I am Roman, and this," the dark Carpathian moved to encompass his lifemate, "Is my lifemate, Sunrise Song." He moved his arm around her in a subconscious possessive gesture.
Aneta was either oblivious or ignoring her father's moment of territorial proclamation, as she took the opportunity to kiss Arron's cheek. "Are you going to invite us in or not?" She smiled at her mother, hoping she was as pleased with Arron as what he father seemed to be.
