finally, Jarel forces himself to sit up, and his eyes lock right on Salem. The crowd cheers, as Jarel's eyes are relatively clear. He knows where he is and what he's looking at, and there's a message here. He will not be beaten easily

Salem pauses for a moment as he sees Jarel sit up, eyes locked upon the world champion like a raptor, watching his every move. Just a look was all it took from "The Dragon" to make someone's blood run cold, and that was made more impressive considering the chill already steeped in Salem's veins. Not one to back down, though, Salem roused the fans onto their feet once again by jerking himself up onto the apron, standing resolutely on the opposite side of the ropes while watching Jarel with an equally intense glare.

Jarel forces himself to his feet, stumbling just once, and rises to his full height. Breathing is a bit more labored but the determination in the Dragon to gain his first world championship in over three years is evident. He steps out of the wreckage and makes a quick gesture with his hand for Salem to bring everything he has at him, or at least that's what he means when he signals someone to come at him

The audience burst into cheers as both men refused to back down, this time Jarel beckoning Salem to come prove his worth. It was true, Salem was going to have to do something even bigger if it meant putting "The Dragon" away for good, the thought of his previous six-thirty splash leaving an ambient ache in his back as he contemplated what more it'd take from him to retain his first-ever world title. With a burst of energy, Salem summed up his thoughts of Jarel's ultimatum by grasping the top rope and bouncing himself onto it, flying off the cable and into the air to try hitting the veteran with a Flying Crossbody!

that was definitely a good way to start up again. Salem comes flying through the air at Jarel, with what would take most men down. Jarel, however, reaches up to catch Salem in the air. From here, he's look to turn the rookie champion upside down and nail him with that tombstone piledriver, right in the wreckage of the table

Salem was awestruck at how Jarel snatched him from the air so effortlessly, the counter showcasing The Dragon's colossal strength in the process. Shaking his head fearfully, the world champion knew what was coming next as he was hoisted into the North-South position once again. Only this time, Salem couldn't get himself free from the giant's grip, looking up (or rather down) at the bits of wood and metal beneath him before the inevitable drop...Salem's limbs stiffening on impact, then falling limp across the canvas following the Tombstone Piledriver!

Jarel leans back on his knees after dropping Salem and looks to the hearse. The crowd cheers, realizing where his thoughts have gone. He looks to roll Salem across the ring and shove him into the hearse, closing the door behind him should this be successful

Salem seemed lifeless as Jarel gradually got him into the hearse, the world champion not moving or showing any expression on his face. His face looked a little pale, as though the spirit had fled his body - or perhaps the early stages of frostbite were settling in. Even his eyes were only barely open, slitted just enough to see the dull, empty stare in his doll-like gaze. Heaved into the cab, the "Copperhead" looked more like a wet noodle as his hopes at retaining sunk into the shadows with the closing of the hatch door, fans watching anxiously, eagerly for what would happen next.

The Dragon walks around the hearse and opens the drivers door, stepping inside and closing the driver's door again. The engine is still running, and the Dragon shifts the gears and looks to begin driving it out of the arena

With a pump of the brakes, the hearse was set into motion once again - this time, heading upwards towards the main stage and the tunnel entrance that led to the parking lot beyond the arena proper. Still, the fans watched in anticipation, knowing that the match wasn't over until Jarel had successfully driven the hearse from the arena and off the lot. As if trying to wake the dead, many in the arena began chanting Salem's name, trying to rouse the world champion from his concussive slumber and motivate him to get free from the hearse!

Jarel is quite content to continue his drive, moving the hearse up the ramp and ever closer to the exit to the arena. Oh how good it will feel to move that hearse out of this place and live up to his word

"SALEM!" "SALEM!" "SALEM!"
Suddenly, just as the hearse was starting to reach the mouth of the exit tunnel, the rear hatch of the hearse would pop open, Salem crawling out by his shoulders to slither out of the moving vehicle, setting off fireworks of applause in the stands. Though he'd been quite woozy before, the time unconscious gave his muscles a chance to relax, and the drive in the gas-chugging hearse had momentarily thawed out his nerves. On his hands and knees, Salem shook cobwebs from his head with bobbing motions, feeling a blended shiver of excitement and exposure to the elements run through him, jolting his senses so that he stood up straight. Trying to put as much distance as he could between himself and the hearse, the Croft took off in a hurried, but debilitated stride back towards the ring!

Jarel checks the rearview mirror, just in time to see Salem slide out of the back door. Well, it's a good thing he wasn't speeding or Salem might have just near killed himself. Jarel stops and exits the hearse, now heading back towards the ring himself. If Salem wants more abuse, then the Godfather of Hardcore will damn well give it to him

Salem was slowly building speed, his legs working more properly with each step he took towards the ring and freedom, but Jarel was fast behind him - the giant's strides, allowing the truck of a man to gain ground at a quicker rate than Salem's stride could manage. Nonetheless, the champ was already slipping into the ring by the time Jarel reached the bottom of the ramp...but after a bounce off the ropes, Salem would come streaking back across the mat to fly through the colored cables with a Missile Dropkick aimed at Jarel's barn-sized chest!

well that wasn't what Jarel expected. as he comes up after Salem, the younger man hits the ropes and comes out after the Dragon, planting both feet in the big man's chest and knocking him to the ramp he'd just walked won. That was some superior athleticism there
