I chose option 4 : Dig in the trash and find a sled alternative! My score is: -3 Okay this was ridiculous. More than ridiculous. Suddenly the poor trolls hopes and dreams deflated. There was no way that she could make it from behind at this point. Taking that "shortcut" had been the worst solution ever. Instead of getting a speed boost, she was forced to backtrack and ended up dead last. Terrific. Now there was another construction zone. Her typical scowl deepened further as she considered all the options. The truth was, none of them were really that great, but... She could go and seek a new sled. Maybe one that would be faster and sturdier? If that were the case, then coming up from the back would be no problem. If that didn't work, no skin of her back: She was going to lose anyway. Coming to a halt, Mili began to dig into the trash heap.

I chose option # : 2 My score is: 1 Sticking to the assigned route had already paid off for Hazzan, and while she liked to go fast, the trash route mostly just looked gross. The route was marked the way it was for a reason, and it wouldn't steer her wrong - so Hazzan steered her sled around onto the marked trail and tried to put on as much speed as possible.

I chose option # : 2 My score is: +1 Spite, as it turned out, made for a very efficient energy source. Kneeling on is saucer and white-knuckling the handles in determination, Sinter whipped down the street. Later he might consider the fact that others had seemed hesitant to take this seemingly innocuous route. Had he narrowly avoided something dangerous? "Whoa!!" Sinter veered right to unquestionably avoid falling down an enormous pile of debris. Sinter was confident in his trusty disk's durability, but less so his own, should he accidentally upend himself on someone's jagged trash. Besides, that area was marked off. Wasn't going off-course in a race cheating? Better safe than sorry! Sinter didn't even want to sign up for this competition in the first place. It wasn't worth breaking his neck over. ...Still... the potentially ludicrous idea of winning was starting to sound awfully sweet...

I chose option # : 2 My score is: -3 Yep. Just because of one horribly placed turn, she ended up somewhere COMPLETELY different. She was starting to feel extremely disappointed in herself, huh. Well, she was a yellowblood. And she sucked at everything too, why was she still here? She should've just dropped out and gone back to work— no. No no no, she needed to stop being so pessimistic, even if it was unintentional. Vremea grabbed the sled and trudged back up the wrong way's route, and started all over again, this time choosing the RIGHT path and riding through it. She pursed her mouth, thinking, why hadn't she turned before? Well, it was good that she was getting used to using a sled, but... Hnf.
Oh, damnit, her bobby pins fell out. Uurrhghhg her hair would be such a mess after this. She had tried everything to pull them back, but the thick strands didn't let her. Now, they were blowing all over her face, while her extremely long black hair tumbled behind her in a braid, spare strands flying across her face. She would have to fix it later...
Onto the next hurdle! Vremea instantly took the linear path down the slope, sliding down using the guidelines and kinda hoping she didn't swivel out of control. I'm rolling a: Rump! Rolls left today: 0 Rump Score: 11 + 13 + 16= 40 + 22= 62 Torso Score: Head Score:

I chose option # : 1 My score is: 1 The shrill laugh Forera let loose was enough to make the nearest troll cringe. As she busted through the snow, the laughing kids energy was boundless. "See ya later, suuuucckkaaaasssss!!" She exclaimed, eyes shimmering from excitement. Hell yeah! That winning goal was totally hers, pffft, no question about it. She flexed her back muscles, moving her shoulders in a circle so as to stretch out the miniature cramps paining her upper back. Ooh yeah, that hit the spot. Right after, she lowered her head a little and readjusted her scarf with her chin, nudging it a bit over her nose, teal from the cold. Ok, so she didn't think it'd be this cold. Like, it's cold in NHC but it's like, not THAT bad!! Ever Serpentmom was freezing, having covered the majority of herself under her scarf.
She could see a big dump pile in the distance, straight ahead, with a road to the side with markers. NOPE! She was staying straight, she was definitely not moving. Down the slope she went!! I'm rolling a: Rump! Rolls left today: 0 Rump Score: 7 + 12 + 10 = 29 + 6 = 35 Torso Score: Head Score:

Ganyma I'm rolling a: Rump! Rolls left today: 1 Rump Score: 43 + 23 = 66 Torso Score: Head Score:The tealblood chuckled. Ganyma smiled back at the redblood. Looks like he misunderstood him - nothing that a quick confirmation wouldn't fix! "Oh! No, I wasn't! Your rump is just really nice and round is all!" He defended, giving a friendly wave to the redblood. It was no big deal, after all. He'd already gotten started on his torso, too. He was pretty good at this -- Ganyma would have to pick his brain after the competition to figure out his secrets. He clumsily continued to pat snow onto the base of his snowtroll, when suddenly he became distracted by yet another friendly face. "Hello, Forera!! Wow, I didn't expect to see you here!" Ganyma started. Competition was much more fun with friends. "Haha, you put down that snowball now... You might give me more snow for my snowtroll!"

Ganyma I'm rolling a: Rump! Rolls left today: 0 Rump Score: 66 + 19 = 85!Torso Score: Head Score:Ganyma made some more touch ups to his snowtroll's rump. This sure was taking a while. It was kind of a cylindrical sorta cubey pyramid-y shape. Ganyma's speed and skill with construction was staggering. But soon... Soon, Ganyma's snowtroll blossomed. Its odd angles and snowy craters were filled in with nice, fresh snow, and soon even Ganyma's unwieldly snowball was no size to scoff at.

I chose option # : 2 My score is: -3 [Wallas] That was awful. Comically awful (or at least, comically to everyone but Wallas). Clearly, Wallas's skill at navigating his own cluttered, tool-filled room did not apply to sledding races. Walking with his head down and his self-confidence even more dented than usual, he headed towards the next course. Ah, the junk pile looked inviting (scrap metal!), but he couldn't afford to dilly-dally after the toll the last race had taken upon him. The safest, most direct way had to be the best way to go for now. Sure, perhaps he could get some extra acceleration off the junk piles, but that would involve approaching at very precise angles and speeds, which would be quite difficult. Wallas would approach this part of the race much like he did parts of his life: by playing it safe. I chose option # : 4 My score is: 0 [Dairah] Ahh, that was actually sort of pleasant! Kind of leisurely, rather safe for a troll activity. Such a diversion made the next racetrack a bit jarring. Look at all that trash... This wasn't going to be easy. Dairah was tempted to go "bargain hunting" amidst the garbage, but now was certainly not the time for that! She had to keep going. The safe route had served her well before, so why not take it again? Nice and easy, slow and steady. B-but bargain hunting! She could pawn so much of this garbage off! Someone could surely find a use for it! And then the thrift shopper in Dairah one. She made a beeline for the nearest pile of trash, muttering to herself about how she wished she'd brought her cart.

Eostre I chose option # : 2 My score is: (-1 + 2 = ) 1 As much as Eostre detested the idea of going straight through a pile of garbage, she was feeling confident and a bit ahead of her competitors (or at the very least, not totally behind), and wanted to keep her momentum. She could catch up more easily if she kept her speed! She kept that thought in mind as she closed her eyes and barreled in. Cerise I chose option # : 3 My score is: (-1 + -2 = ) -3 The icicles hanging from the machines looked tempting, and if Cerise couldn't be the fastest, she could be the most cunning! Who else would get that super awesome shortcut from the construction before, but the most cunning of trolls! Okay, so that shortcut was more like... a detour that was awful and terrible, but this would be better. Cerise hid herself from view, and threw snow at the icicles to knock them down as sledders came by.

Kursha I'm rolling a: Rump (still!) Rolls left today: 1 Rump Score: 81 Torso Score: 0 Head Score: 0
As Kursha rolled his snowball bigger and bigger, he risked another glance at the other contestants. It looked as though he were falling a little behind - many already had their rump fully formed. Even the tealblood he had scoffed at before had a respectable rump formed. The redblood he was talking to had done a bang-up job as well. In fact... Kursha looked at one and then the other. He could have sworn that their snow-rumps were identical. Giving the pair a suspicious look, Kursha carefully smoothed out the edges of his own snowball.
*Not that snow-rumps are usually known for their distinctive appearance.
