Claudia Vesslia Adi solemnly agreed to remove the angel from her body on one condition; it had to be quick. Lucas nodded decided to fulfill his end of the deal, but hesitatingly staggered over to his sword. To stall for time, he asked the Oracle how he brought it here but he didn't answer for he was a man of many mysteries. Retrieving the weapon, the blade rang through the air celebrating the fact that it was back in its master's grip. The blade hid from the sun as if it were ashamed of its beauty. Zuriel told him exactly what to do, but it must be daunting on the man since there is a chance he could accidentally kill her. The thought of watching a friend getting skewered like a piece of meat wasn't a pleasant image either. Suddenly, the blade revealed its crystallized surface within the light allowing everyone to gaze upon its glory. Lucas confide to the Angel admitting that he didn't want to hurt her, but sense his intentions weren't melancholy she'll be safe. Zuirel barely managed to convince him and Lucas said it was as simple as falling asleep. Yet, their wary minds and ever watching eyes were all on the gypsy.
Stepping up to her, he assured that she was ready and arched the blade back ready to plunge it through her gut. Alexis buried her face into Laxion's shoulder for comfort, but Claudia was resistant to any security. Even if it was from Nyru, she couldn't take her eyes away. In one swift movement, Lucas thrust forwards and although the blade turned invisible the sound of ripping flesh and cloth was undeniable. Adi froze and Claudia covered her mouth in shock almost becoming sick herself. No blood stained the rooftop and a ring of white light outlined the wound. Life was whisper away from the gypsy's once glistening eyes and she fell back as Lucas yanked his sword free. Claudia ran and fell to her knees to catch the woman on one side while Nyru balanced the woman on her other side. They lowered her half way on their laps and Lucas became frantic asking if she lived. The blonde checked for a pulse in her delicate wrist. It was faint but there, and just to make sure she pressed her ear against her chest too. She has an irregular heartbeat that continued to slow so it was hard for her to make a diagnosis.
At the corner of her eye, Zuriel's body faded and transformed into a droplet of gold that found sanctuary in the sword. When she lifted her head, a white droplet from Adi burst out of her gut and was adsorbed into the blade. Claudia's eyes widened in fear but the ritual was far from over. The Oracle commanded Lucas to free them and once Alexis helped him regain his compose, he held his sword aloft. His words released them in a spectacle of bright lights. Adi's droplet soared high into the Adi before it swirled down into her chest while the golden droplet ascended until it could no longer be seen. Claudia looked to Adi shaking her a bit in the hopes that she'll awaken soon.

━━ ☽Ɍυɼ'Дɖɩқą Дɖɖąɧąɼɼą☾━━ My Santuary While Lucas and Zuriel spoke, she felt Zuriel indifference in the interaction but said nothing; ignored it all in fact. Her focus was preparing herself, but Adi already knew no level of preparing would truly be enough...least not for her. The gypsy did ind a place away though closer to Lucas and the blade in front of everyone, Adi felt a bit on display. As if she was carrying out a performance, but if only that were true. Closing her eyes, Adi wasn't sure for how long but it was the flash of light of the blade or how the blade vanished from sight that made her focus on it even though her eyes were closed. Zuriel could feel it, and there for she could as well. A squeeze of her eye lids and the clenching of her fists was the sign that Adi was prepared for the strike just before it happened. Upon the strike though, honey amber eyes snapped out with a shocked expression; rosy lips parted in an expression in similar shock. Adi's hands though instinctively reached up though to cradle her stomach where the sword impaled her. Honey eyes gazed at them all for sheer moment before the life in her eyes began to faid, and Adi surely felt it. Painless...like falling asleep, the sleep part wasn't wrong; she did feel like she was falling into a deep sudden sleep as the world fell away. That feeling only intensified when she began to fall backwards but Adi never felt herself being caught. No, by that time the paralyzing pain in her body had Adi in its clutches. The sword didn't hurt...but something else did. She tore at the darkness with her nails, withering in it; struggling and screaming as it felt like her body was being ripped asunder cell by cell. Yet everyone looking on, saw a peaceful woman with barely any life in her. The darkness was lighting the darkness, washing away some of the pain. Adi reached for it, desperate for the sanctuary the strange foreign yet familiar light provided. Wanting nothing else to embrace it, she kept reaching for it, not aware of the reality of the world around her leaking through. Didn't feel the cries of concern or the shaking. With a start and a crying gasp of air, Adi came to the waking world. Her body stiff and rigid as she lay there propped up and held by her friends. The gypsy could barely acknowledge them through the aching pain, the fiery tingles that consumed her body. Her limbs felt heavy as if filled with lead, because when Adi reached up to clutch her stomach and chest it was a effort that seemed impossible to overcome. Lips parted sucking in air, half the time through clenched teeth, but no cries came out as she didn't have the air to do so, barely got enough to breath. Instead the salty tears leaking from the corner of her eyes was the only sign of her discomfort and pain; head thrown back and staring at the ceiling, some of those tears met the tile floor. Everything seemed out of focus, nothing felt right...all of it so confusing. Hard to focus through the pain, the heavy emptiness and tingles like licks of flame, yet she found one point to focus on, the golden point headed toward the sky. Ignoring how painful or difficult it was, Adi lifted a shaky hand reaching out for the retreating light in the sky that she knew was Zuriel. "..Z-Z-Zurr..i-iel.." she gasped out, barely able to get her lungs to function enough to take in air, or voice to work properly as it was all croaky as if she had screamed to the point of her throat bleeding through the ordeal. "..g-good-b-bye..." The tears simply came harder after that, with him gone now, where did that leave her...what was left of her? Hand dropping carelessly and limply to the floor, the rest of her body followed; become lax but still the pain remained however duller then before. Honey eyes darkened and became vacant as Adi stared at nothing and drew within her self...as with Zuriel gone, there was plenty of space now for her to retreat to...so much emptiness within herself to get lost in, and it made her painfully aware of how lonely it was. OOC: you went kingdom hearts on me and i throw it back hehe ☽━━☆━━☾"...I'll stop the whole world... ...from turning into a monster..." Caught in the darkness I go blind But can you help me find my way out? Nobody hears me, as I suffer the silence I'm holding onto you...I'm holding onto you There's a hate inside of me like some kind of master! ❖ "But that was then and this is now Now look at me" Ⓐlexis Truesvale "The air is still, a path appears. The choice is clear, I'm finally here. Safely back in your arms... " This is the part of me That you’re never gonna ever take away from me, Throw your sticks and your stones, Throw your bombs and your blows But you’re not gonna break my soul
◊◊◊▐Ω▌◊◊◊ (( Honestly i got so excited when i say "my sanctuary" and i was in denial until i clicked it and yelped in excitement xD)) "By the angel!" Lucas said in sweet relief, sighing and hanging his head after hearing Adi's voice mutter Zuriel's name. He truly thought he had killed her and banished her soul to oblivion. "It's done" The Oracle stated, almost smiling, knowing that this ordeal was over and that the combination that must never survive was over. Who knows what could have happened if they remained together, he hated to ponder what it could mean until now. The Angel, however caring, could have destroyed her from the inside out in order to free himself, who knows, perhaps even the other Angels could have killed her for him. Or they could.. miraculously live together for eternity... such a long time for two voices to share one body, they would become walking cataclysm... something far too unstable. The Spirit World would shake, as if it were a mirror of this world it would be torn asunder and the real would wouldn't notice a thing. Lucas almost dropped, his knees seemed weak but Laxion and Alexis caught him. "I see now that taking on the might of an Angel isn't something a mortal should do frequently..." Lucas said, and Alexis replied "hopefully it isn't something you'll have to do again". _________________________________________________________________________ Dearly Beloved((I'm going to time skip a little, I hope you guys don't mind)) It's been almost a week now, but for some of them it felt like far longer. Living in the Temple with the Oracle and his people was exactly what they needed to recover and feel calm once more. Laxion felt most at home finally being able to explore his father's homeland and get a better understanding of his elemental heritage. He found peace in the mountains, often visiting the Highlands to the west, sometimes Nyru would join him when he wasn't spending his time with Claudia and Rur'Adika. Alexis spent the bulk of her time helping to rebuild and tend to those worst affected by Lucifial's attacks, many of the towns of Zakernand were just as bad if not worse than the cities of Occulas that were on their way to repair so much quicker than here. Lucas simply explored the local areas, helping where he could and often standing alone by the Spirit Fissure, questioning everything he knew before and what he knows now. They are not alone in this world, humans, elves, elementals... daywalkers. Everything else in between. they are all but a small circle of what really exists outside of their world. Word of a new world on the horizon of the skies is proof of that, the Lords of Hell are testimony, and the High Angels themselves are fact enough that they are not truly alone. In order to survive, Lucas believed that Lysandiel was right all along, Redemption is a chance that everyone must have, and through it everyone must work together to create harmony, just as the Guildeam set out to do long ago. He just hoped it would last, rumours of a living heir to the throne of Asmodius shakes the foundations of the now standing government, a King of Occulas would mean a powerful vote that can overrule any unanimous decisions made in the High Court. Nyru spent much of his time between Laxion, Rur'Adika and Claudia. And none of them had to touch their weapons once, not even look at them during their stay here, everything was tranquil. And today was different. The Oracle has summoned them all to the great hall where all of this began. Where the Oracle first envisioned the oncoming storm that was Lucifial, but today was different to that. The Oracle stood at one end atop a platform, and when everyone lined up they were all probably thinking this was goodbye. On the way, Laxion had said to Alexis and Lucas how he thought "The Oracle probably wants to give us a formal farewell". Nyru even said to the girls "You know... it will be strange going back home... to our home" looking between Adi and Claudia. They all lined up before the Oracle and waited. Incense filled their nostrils and their well-fed stomachs sat comfortably, they were back in their own clothes too, Alexis in her symbolic wizard outfit, Nyru and Laxion in their armour, Lucas in his prestigious robes. "Firstly" The Oracle began, hands carefully clasped together at his waist, "I want to thank you all again, on behalf of Zakernand and the whole of Magic Earth. Know that my Temple is yours to use whenever you may need, and that the spirits will forever guide you and protect you and your loved ones. But I have nothing more to say, not even a goodbye for I am sure we'll meet again in the future. However, I do believe Lucas has something he wants to say". Lucas was suddenly the focus of attention, all of them turning their heads to face him as he barely even grinned and stepped forwards to stand by the Oracle's side with a hefty scroll in his hand. What could he have to say? Was he... staying? Lucas said "There has been something I've been meaning to tell Team Elixer for some time... now however it's much to my pleasure that such honours have spread to another team close to their hearts." he looks to Adi, Claudia and Nyru now. "The Guildeam has formally invited you all to the High Court, where your support to the world will be recognised. It will not be before an audience, they know none of you care for fortune or fame, so you'll stand before only the leaders of the High Court. And you'll stand with them as Elites. Lords and Ladies." The news was a surprise to everyone, Laxion couldn't believe it, he had always wanted to be knighted. It was every soldiers dream to become an Elite, well known for their skill in combat and superior generosity to the world. For Nyru this was more of a surprise, Daywalkers haven't been knighted for decades for obvious reasons. He couldn't help but let out a sigh of glee and smile to himself. Alexis turned immediately and pulled Laxion in for a hug that almost squeezed the air out of him. "They're expecting you all soon" Lucas added with a smile. Lucas stepped down and made his way towards Adi, not knowing how she would react but as he passed her he did say "I have the feeling you're not one for titles, but think of it as our gift to you. Perhaps even new opportunities. Hm?" but moments after Alexis was already running over like the young girl she once was and threw herself at Adi for a hug too. "This is amazing!" she said into Adi's shoulder. ((Are you guys cool with heading to the High Court in the next post? Lucas will take you, it's an extremely rare event ;D ;D ;D More gifts wait in tore too. hopefully very heartfelt gifts for each of you i hope))
◊◊◊▐Ω▌◊◊◊ I opened my eyes to another day To things that I had known, things that happened everyday. I feel there's a shadow creeping up on me The wind blows through the streets Telling me something I don't see ❖ Draw the line, and turn the time Taking back what was mine Now I can change almost anything Hold tight, search for the light Do I know what's wrong or right Put the pieces back where they belong

Claudia Vesslia After Adi's release from the Angel, the next week was nothing but unnatural tranquility. Not once did she lay eyes on her weapon or had the eagerness to pick it up. In a way, she lost her spirit to fight but even though that spirit is extinguishing she felt like she could make it rise again. The others had performed acts of courageous virtue over the week as she searched for something to easy her wary mind. Laxion delve into his families history and was accompanied by Nyru when he traveled to the Highlands in the west. Nyru would switch back and forth between his partner and her and Adi as often as he could. Adi and his friendship was growing exponentially, and although nothing was wrong with their relationship, she unintentionally distanced herself. The reason was unclear, but she figured after the Oracle bid them farewell she would leave everyone. She had her own agenda and exploiting her families history and finding something to fill that void in her heart. Until then, she found refuge with religious practices among the Oracle's Soothdayers. Alexis was off assisting the less fortunate survives of the Lucifial tragedy and Lucas sought spiritual encounters at the Spirit Fissure. Everyone seemed to be conforming to their new lifestyles quiet nicely.
They we're pulled from their routines one day because the Oracle had summoned them all to the main room. He stood confidently on a platform looking over them silently. Alexis, Laxion, and Lucas's guesses were about as good as hers in terms of what the Oracle may want to convey. They had occupied his domain long enough and Nyru indicated that it was probably in their best interest to return home. That's where she wants to start her lonely journey anyway, since it sound the most useful. She wasn't planning on taking him either because she couldn't steal his happiness of living a quaint life with Laxion. Besides, Adi was attached to him and she would have invited the gypsy to come with her but her best chance of healing was to stay near loved ones. The blonde realized her was spacing out and nodded to Nyru quickly as they approached the generous Oracle. The aroma of drifting incense soothed her and she wanted to spin around in glee. Maybe her red velvet dress would soak of the smell that she could take with her as a reminder of the time she spent here. Composing himself, the Oracle thanked them once again for their efforts and assured that their was always a place here if needed. He didn't announce a goodbye like they thought and instead called Lucas to the stage. The large scroll in his hand made her frown a bit because she wasn't prepared for a long emotional speech.
It wasn't a speech, but an announcement that he had been keeping from the teams until this moment. They had touched each others' hearts and were summoned to the High Court to probably be rewarded for achieving greatness. That's not the case. They're invention to the High Court was to be united as Elites, one of the highest honors in Magic Earth. Alexis bounced up and down over joyed and practically hugged the breath out of Laxion then Adi. Lucas stepped down and mentioned to Adi how this was a great opportunity for her to which Claudia agreed. The celebration for her was overwhelming and for a moment she tuned out of their voices. She wanted to accept this honor, but she still had plans set in the back of her mind to leave. She shook her thoughts and glanced to all of them pretending to smile.

Before she was even off the floor Adi had fallen unconscious from the ordeal and few a day and a half following she was asleep. Watched over by a rotation of companions and soothsayers to make sure her health was maintained. When the gypsy rose though, things did not change much, her body weak and heavy readjusting within her bed alone was exhausting let alone walking so she was bedridden for the week. It did not help her rather depressed state; left with her own thoughts, the aching emptiness Zuriel left behind and the raw feeling of having no goodbye.
The only good part was that when Adi woke, she found a cluster of some feathers in her hands; pure white and soft. 'His' feathers left as a gift and a memorial of him, it brought her joy and made the reality all to painful.
The gypsy herself through the while attempted to do her best to put on a smile on for the others, speak with about what they were doing. Later in the week spending time with both Alexis and Claudia, going for small walks as her strength came back to her. It was still however a challenge and left Adi exhausted, so when they were called to the hall by the Oracle, she managed to walk there but stood shakily before him. What the Oracle had to say was what Adi expected, however Lucas' announcement however came as a surprise.
"What..." she breathed beyond shocked; the gypsy never expected to be recognized, not even sure if she wanted to be. Fortunately it would just be the leaders, so a smaller crowd and she could remained relatively anonymous and invisible. Lucas only confirmed his knowledge of what she wanted as he passed and worries were soothed.
Adi was wondering if she could possibly decline, course then Alexis was leaping upon her with a strong embrace. The once host to an angel felt her knees begin to buckle but managed to find the strength to endure and return the embrace though not necessarily the enthusiasm.
"I'm afraid I'm not very familiar with the High Court...you'll have to forgive my rather cluelessness when it comes to this trip. Hard to believe though....so many things have changed...."
Her words were haunting and hollow as Adi trailed off as she began to think; eyes wandering towards the sky and heavens beyond that she could see.
OOC: i'm fine with time skipping to the court

There was darkness.
Air rushed up from below, as if they were endlessly falling to a world below that never arrived. As the silhouette of their ethereal form manifested the sensation of the rising winds sent chills through their soul. It lit like a candle within their chest, beneath see-through skin that had not yet taken a unique shape. The sound of the endless expanse around them chimed into their ears. Calm fell over them.
A silver shimmer spread across the void surrounding them, like blackened blades of polished grass fields that formed a cylinder around them. Above was a void. Below them was the void again. How long had they been floating down? The question rattled in their mind as thoughts began to murmur, communicating with their soul. The shimmering scales around them flashed green and suddenly a voice, deep and beast-like whispered to them. "You who drift in shadow… what form do you take? Shape it now. Tell me of your body, your limbs, your height… and I shall give it weight." It asked with intrigue. As they thought, their limbs took shape into arms, hands, legs and feet. Their torso shaping itself into the vision they imagined, becoming ethereal reality before their eyes. The scales around them shimmered again - glaring red as their eyes took shape. The voice hummed again, like a grown through stone. ""Your flesh awakens. Yet you are bare, unfinished. Tell me, drifter — what adornments crown your skin? Speak of hair, of eyes, of markings, scars, paints… or leave yourself unmarked." It paused, awaiting their form to create skin and adornments. "You stir, but how shall the world hear you? Speak, drifter — will your voice be sharp as iron, soft as spring water, or burdened with storm and sorrow?" As their cacophonous voice rang out, the vibrations of their soul wove their sound into a symphony, a real voice to reply with. Finally, the unknown voice asked "And now… clothe yourself in memory. What garments shall bind your form? Are they humble, regal, torn, armoured? Choose, and I shall weave them from the void."

Nameless Form An ethereal, shapeless mass drifted through the endless falling world unknowing its destination. The shapeless figure was transparent and only the flickering of its soul that resembled candle light could be seen. The rising wind chilled them making the light dim as it tensed in fear for a moment before finding a calming rhythm to set the soul alight once more. Suddenly, a silver shimmer spread across the void and surrounded them incasing them in a cylinder of light with a void on either end. The soul wondered how long this aimless drifting would last until the scales around them shimmered green. A deep beast-like voice called out to them asking them to take the first steps towards their transformation. The body of a small female with pale skin, a thin healthy frame, decent sized arms and legs began to form. The speaker seem pleased as the scales shimmered again and this time red eyes peered at them. The voice hummed now instructing the newly formed mass to give details of their appearance. Short messy, white hair, piercing orange eyes like the sunset, and black flame tattoos that ring around her upper arms and lower back etched into her soft skin. Her lips were a soft pale pink and began to quiver just as the voice bade her to speak. "A...Alive..." Was all she could must sounding almost robotic with a sprinkle of curiosity and a hint of fear. The girl almost felt complete as her soul danced out joyously hearing her own voice being heard. Finally, the voice asked about her adornments for at the moment she was exposed, but clearly wasn't shy in her naked form. However, she did as the voice suggested and thought of clothing and armour that would suit her best. A black hooded jacket that she used as a dress covered her body adorned with white flame motifs of it. Thigh high black tights to compliment black shoes along with metal anklets. A black steel tail that looked like bones tipped with a spear point was strapped to her backside. It moved mechanically back and forth imitating that of a animal. Lately, large metal gauntlets formed on her arms giving the silhouette of an ape. The metal attachments felt more like her natural limbs then her actual limbs did.

A flash of green like emerald shimmered around them, rustling likes blades of grass beneath a strong wind.
"You stir, but how shall the world hear you? Speak, drifter - will your voice be sharp as iron, soft as spring water, or burdened with storm and sorrow?"
Once more the scales vibrated and shun, this time a vibrant gold.
"Now… what compass guides you? Do you walk in justice, or do you reach for power? Do you lift others, or place only yourself upon the throne? What do you believe?"
With their answer, the air sweeping up from beneath them lessened, their decent turned into a gentle glide as the scales around them began to pull back. The tunnel they had been falling down was slowly becoming larger, allowing them more space to feel, to breath, to simply be. What was once a blanket of scales surrounding them became a coiling length scales, like a giant snake, as the wall of green and gold blades constricted and began to move over one another in opposing directions.
"But… before the void, there was something else, was there not? Do you remember the life you once lived? Or do you awaken as a stranger to all that came before?"
With their final answer serpentine entity around them expanded, unravelling and flying around them to reveal an ethereal Chinese dragon. It's scales shimmered in the light of the golden sun high above as clouds dissipated around it. It's claws, silver like twilight. It's main of ivory fury lined it's spine to it's tail's tip. It's eyes, golden, stared at them as it stopped before them. The land suddenly came into focus. They were surrounded by jagged fields of emerald grass, by cliffs covered in vibrant plants. Trees grew from the edges of broken land, twisted and turning elegantly, giving birth to flurries of either blood red or golden leaves. Mythical creatures grazed nearby and drank from the shallow lake from which this newly reborn person stood.
"I am Lóngsara - the Keeper of the Cycle of Samsara. Who are you?"

Seri
The scales flashed a blinding gold as the voice asked what path she walked and even she was uncertain. She had a small spirt of a memory hop into her mind of a man with golden hair and beautiful golden eyes pondering his thoughts until he spoke, "Undetermined." She repeated this word robotically not realizing that the voice before her accepted it as an answer. The hole she'd be descending down widened feeling less constrictive. Her fall came to a gentle glide as the scales in front of her coiled and slithered over one another in a green and gold sequence. She was mesmerized until the voice asked her to recount a path life which she recalled seeing the man in her mind from earlier.
Sounds of bombastic music and bustling neon streets blurred in and out of her thoughts as she closed her eyes trying to focus on this other reality. She could see a girl, herself from before, hardly a person, but a disfigured unfortunate soul. She was born with no arms and a crooked spine being deemed as a monstrosity and left to die in those cold streets. That's when he a appeared, a holy man that looked like an angel in her eyes. He took her in, feed and clothed her, engineered limbs for her out of scrap metal he scavenged from trash heaps. He made metal enhancements for her spine, taught her his scriptures, and helped her read and write. Eventually, he gave her name out of a joke between them and even now she could still hear him saying it. His name was Father Abaddean, a prophet from Skyfall bringing word of the High Angel Scentiel. She never understood why a highly coveted man like himself would subject himself to the underbelly of the most depraved people Occulas had to offer, but she was glad he was her friend. The last memory she had of him was his tears falling on her numb cheeks and him shuttering her name before the world went dark. "I do remember him, Father Abaddean."
Suddenly, the scaled unraveled to reveal a Chinese Dragon. The clouds above dissipated showing off the creature's glorious features like claws sparking like silver twilight, an irony furry mane circling their head and trailing down the spine, and fierce golden eyes. The land around her came into view full of vegetation. Cliffsides were lined with colorful plants and twisting trees, leaves reflected red and yellow in the sun and the shallow lake that she now stood in glittered all around. Wildlife sipped its waters like sweet nectar as the dragon introduced itself as Longsara, Keeper of the Cycle of Samsara. It asked for her name and she couldn't help, but recall a memory of Father Abaddean cracking that same joke. He told her she was always so serious and in short he named her..."Seri." Which she voiced lightly as she stared unwavering into the dragon's eyes.

The Oracle "I see all..."
The girl, Seri, announced her name. The great spirit, Longsara, widened it's eyes and a flash of gold engulfed them. "Your cycle begins anew" Longsara said, it's form majestically coiling and slithering in a dance. The water at Seri's feet rippled and began to glow gold, droplets rising from it like orange petals floating up towards the sky. "But this time you will not be alone - your kindred spirit will guide you in your time of need. Go forth, to the One who speaks for all spirits and fulfil your destiny."
The shallow pool suddenly became a deem lagoon of warm water that swallowed Seri up like a hungry maw. She sunk, down, down, down. Golden light kissed her skin and the weight of the water vanished. Her chest, finally free, could breath once again as she sunk down and broke through the surface of the spirit world's 'water'. She was birth into a new world beneath her. This one had vivid colours too, but these were not quite so ethereal and contrasting. She saw dark greens in crooked mountains far ahead. She saw the orange glow of flame to one side and the dark, wet surface to her left. Her body felt weightless, but heavy all at the same time. She floated diagonally towards the wall like a feather. She felt like an unborn child who had yet to feel their limbs.
Robed figures stood on the wall, stepping away from her as her body pressed against the cold damp stone. Looking around she saw that the world was askew, on it's side and where the sky should be was a great arch of ancient natural stone and moss that contained a shimmering, humming green fissure.
Gravity. It pulled her down suddenly and the world that seemed all wrong suddenly righted itself. The wall she landed on was suddenly down, the sky to her side was suddenly above her and the fissure she just noted spun to her side. The cloaked figures were actually women in pale make-up with inky lines decorating their cheeks and eyelids. They gasp, whether in fear or glee it was not quite certain. Half of the women seemingly ran away, whilst a few others removed their cloaks immediately. They ignored the light drizzle and threw their garments over Seri, wrapping her up as they supported her onto her feet. Minutes passed as they checked over her, another lady bringing the warm flame of a torch to dry Seri's face.
Seri was on the roof of a very wide building, somewhere high up within mountain peaks that were covered in green and trees that stretched wide from rocks on mountain sides. The sky was overcast with light rain which was barely heavy enough to damp your skin. Across the way, the fleeing women return flanked by another figure of tall statue. As they came closer this figure, which originally seemed feminine, actually turned out to be the Oracle of Zakernand.
"Longsara's breath still lingers in the air..." the Oracle, gestured to some of the women, who waved their hands and formed an air bubble around them which redirected the rain. A few others who were not needed turned around to pray to the Spirit Fissue, the great natural formation behind them. The Oracle steps forward, his staff tapping once against the stone path, and the sound echoes faintly through the veil behind her. “You have crossed from the unseen into form — not as a whisper, but as will made flesh. Few have ever been born of the Spirit World. Fewer still have been reborn through the Fissure.” He studies her with gentle awe, as though afraid to disturb a sacred painting. “I see no shadow in you, only the light of purpose waiting to waken. Tell me, child… do you remember the voice that called you here?” After her reply, he smiles faintly, wise and bittersweet. "You are Fusheng... Returned, but not only that, you are Lunsera, Destined of the Cycle, Longsara has crafted your path."

Seri
With Longsara's final query being answered, its eyes flashed gold as it coiled around her continuing its intricate dance. According to the dragon, her life has restarted, but this time her journey would be accompanied. The shallow pool beneath her glowed gold and rising droplets arose from it ascending into the atmosphere like orange petals. Longsara sent her to someone who can converse with her and help her fulfil a destiny, but of what caliber? Suddenly, the pool swallowed her whole causing her to panic for a split second as she held her breath. The spirit water cradled her in golden light and the threat of drowning vanished as Seri finally opened her mouth to breath normally. She broke through the surface into a new world, one that was less colorful but less whimsical by compassion. The dark green mountains covered the landscape and the sun glowed warmly reflecting a bit off the dark wet surface she just left. When she had exited, she realized that her armour that she was conjured had dissipated. Her eyes were more a dull orange compared to when she had the armour on meaning she could summon it will allowing her easier moment. For now, her gauntlets were replaced by black gloves and her tail was gone. She was glad to look normal, but also felt naked without the enhancements as she floundered through the air drifting downward towards a wall.
Figures in robes took along the wall and parted to make space for her to land, however, the world was turned upside down. A great arch of ancient natural stone covered in moss containing a shimmering, humming green fissure was where the sky should be. The physicals of this world kicked in a she fell hard as the skewed view corrected itself. Around her, cloaked women witnessed her fall, they all gasped and some of them ran while other smiled in glee, or so she thought. They wore pale makeup with inky lines highlighting their cheeks and eyelids. Seri wasn't prepared for the hospitality as a group moved towards her to shield her from the drizzle with their garments. She put her hands up in fear thinking their were going to punish her or torture her in some cruel way due to her lingering memories. She froze up when their swaddled her and picked her up checking if she was injured in any way. The one that brought the flame to warm her caused her to squint momentary before her eyes began to adjust to the flickering light. Scoping the area quickly she discovered she was within mountain peeks up high, covered with forestation and rocky formations.
The woman that had fled before returned with a tall figure that seemed feminine at first turned out to be the Oracle of Zakernand. The Oracle spoke and gestured some of the women to form an air bubble above them to advert the rain while others whom were not needed prayed to the Spirit Fissure she saw before. As he stepped towards her, his staff echoed against the stone while he summarized her being and noted how special she was. He studied her carefully, but the only expression she maintained was confusion and worry. He told her that was a full of light and asked if she knew how she ended up here, but all she could manage was to spit out jumbled thoughts. "Father Abaddean...no...Scentiel...I...uhhh..." He tried to clear up her confusion telling her that she was Fusheng, meaning Returned, and that was Lunsera, Destined of the Cycle, which the Dragon, Longsara carved for her. Seri shook her head trying to make sense of everything, but all she could think of was one person. "Father Abaddean...is he safe? I want to see him...please." Deep down, she feared that with this new life she had been given, he would not be apart of it, even with the promise of some kind of new companionship.

The Oracle "I see all..."
The Oracle gave the girl a quizzical look. His eyebrows narrowed as he pondered his thoughts. He didn't recall anything on this Father Abaddean, but he did know the name of Scentiel. Then the seers began to delicately usher Seri beside the Oracle, like she was a beautiful flower too heavy to hold up it's head. Together they moved towards the end of the building where an opening revealed a wide a ceremonious staircase that led down into the Temple of Dreams. Seri asked about Father Abbadean, to which the Oracle turned his head down to face her as they began to descend the steps. "That is not something I can answer " he said, his expression showing neither sorrow nor guilt. His tone was friendly, yet matter-of-fact. "However, I can assume Father Abaddean worships Scentiel - the High Angel of Sincerity. Once you are recovered, perhaps your pilgrimage will take you to him in one form or another."
He lead them down into the main foyer of the Temple of Dreams. It was a large space filled with flaming sconces and burning incense. The Oracle then led them into a smaller room, one which was identical to many others, complete with futon laid out across the floor, a table, and some decorations worshipping the spirits of the world. A window on the end looked out into the mountain tops. Looking down would fill one with nausea, noticing how high up and precariously the temple was situated. The seers led Seri to the futon, which was shallow yet surprisingly comfortable. He gestured to one of the women, who quickly vacated the room. Another seer waved her hand and small flames danced from her finger tips and flew towards the wall sconces. Another danced and caressed the misty droplets from outside, coaxing them in until they gathered into an orb of pure water. She lowered it down into a an ornate glass, gifting it to Seri to drink. The seers then left the room, closing the sliding door behind them. It was now just Seri and the Oracle.
He bent his knees to sit, gracefully falling to Seri's level. He placed his staff down before him with such care that you would believe it to be a holy relic. "I am sorry if you are confused. The Cycle of Samsara is not patient for anyone, and Lóngsara acts as the cycle demands, Fusheng." The Oracle took in a deep and purposeful breath, closing his eyes as he paused. "I am the Oracle, I watch over the land of Zakernand - and you are in the Temple of Dreams. This is the home to any souls that wander in tranquillity - in our realm or the spirit realm. Your past life was not lived within Zakernand, was it?"
A knock came from the door behind him, to which he commanded a delicate gust of air to slide the door open with a wave of his slender hand. All the while he continued to maintain eye-contact with Seri, allowing her to speak uninterrupted by the seer lady that was now placing a pile of folded clothes on the futon beside her. The lady bowed and left the room again, closing the door. "You are special. We call you Fusheng because it is our name for the reborn. Spirits who wander the spirit world aimlessly are sometimes guided back to our world, but they are usually reborn at Nokori Valley, from the waters of it's river." The Oracle almost smiled, black lips curving as he added, "though many would have you think it is a myth. It is a rare occurrence, one that is usually celebrated. In fact, a few years ago, a young girl not so different from yourself pulled herself from that river. But you are Lunsera, destined by the cycle. No one alive has seen a soul be reborn from the Spirit Fissure. I believe that you have been reborn for a purpose, and at no better time. Forgive me. Urgency demanded we make sure you were comfortable and well - but during the moment I have neglected to ask your name, fusheng?"

Seri
He couldn't give her a direct answer as he pondered her question thoroughly before the two of them were ushered inside. There was a widen, open staircase that lead down further into the Temple of Dreams and the two descended side by side as the Oracle finally answered. He informed her that although he didn't know his whereabouts, as long as he worships Scentiel, her journey could lead her to him again. Seri glanced at him seeing he hadn't changed expressions nor elevated his tone, everything with him was neutral and inviting. Regrettably accepting his answer, they ended up in a foyer which was a large open space with flaming sconces and nose tingling incense. The Oracle guided her to a room beyond the foyer that looked identical to many other within the temple. A futon was laid out on the floor for her, accompanied by a table and decorations of worshipping the spirits of this world. The window at the edge of the room over looked the vast mountain tops and if she looked down below the temple was place precariously within the mountain range. The woman lead Seri to the futon before began gestured to vacate the room. However, before leaving one of them lit the sconces magically while another gathered droplets of dew from the crisp outside condensing it into a watery ball. She dropped it into an ornate glass gifting it to her before her and the Oracle were left alone.
The Oracle sank to her level and placed his staff before he carefully treating it like a holy relic. He explained that the cycle of rebirth was impatient and that her confusion is validated. Breathing in deeply, he introduced himself and gave her the location of her whereabouts. Its a home for wandering, tranquil souls like herself and due to her memories of never residing in this place this was all new to her. She shook her head when he asked if she lived here in a past life, but the only thing she could visualize was a busted, old church, loud music, and neon lights.
Seri was about to speak when a knock of the door interrupted the two and without moving from his spot, the Oracle summoned a gust of wind to elegantly open the door. A woman appeared with folded robes for Seri to sleep in as she placed them at the door, bowed, and then shut the slider lightly. The Oracle began to proclaim how special she was and that her name, Fusheng, was their name for reborn. Apparently, wandering spirits are reborn here, more commonly arising in the Nokori Valley within the waters of the river there. Due to the phenomena happening rarely, its usually a celebrated events, and not that long ago a young girl like herself came from those waters. She was different though, begin Lunsera destined by the cycle. No one alive has witness a rebirth like hers and that her purpose there held a great deal. Urgently, they had to rush her into a comfortable situation causing the Oracle to neglect her name. After sipping on the water she was given which she had to stop herself from practically inhaling it, she lightly replied, "Seri...its what Father Abbadean called me." She finished her drink looking down at the empty glass sadly. "I don't-" She paused for a moment to set the glass down on the table as she looked into his unwavering eyes. "I feel like I shouldn't be here. Me? Important? Special? I've done nothing in my path life worthy to note. I was more of a parasite than anything. Father Abbadean was a holy man...if he did die then I failed him. I shouldn't be here...this is a mistake." She could hear her voice cracking under the pressure as she got ready to stand up only to discover how tired and drained she felt. Instead she bowed lowly to the Oracle as tears prickled her eyes and somberly replied, "I'm not worthy to be here....I don't know what you want me to do...I'm sorry..."

The Oracle "I see all..."
The Oracle allowed her to speak freely. If he thought anything about her feelings then he did not show it. He was a still statue. All that reminded Seri that he was alive and breathing was the subtle rising and falling of his chest with his calm breath. His eyes, dark orbs that complimented his black lips, appeared to soften. "Rebirth is not always something that you deserve" the Oracle began, "sometimes it is not about what we did or did not succeed in, in our past life. Sometimes it is about what we will achieve with the future we have been given. Do you believe the tumbleweed to be unimportant as it rolls idly by the happenings of the world around it? It is just another being on its own journey, waiting to find it's purpose. And then, when the rains pour down and all others hide, the tumbleweed flourishes to life. It unfurls and blossoms, caring not for the path it has tread."
He allowed some moments to pass. The silence would have been deafening if not for the calming pitter patter of the rain outside, which had now began to full more heavily. The sound of water could be heard as it trickled down the side of the temple, perhaps down the edge of the mountain it was built upon. "I cannot be certain of your purpose, but I can be sure of one reason why you were given to us... our land, this Zakernand, it is currently under threat. Nightmares, manifestations of negative emotions that latch onto spirits of the land, are running rampant. They envelope the fears of children, turn rumour and myth into reality. It is said that the Lunsera will come to aide needed most. I cannot imagine a better time than now for your coming." He then revealed a small smile as he gestured towards her. "And I am glad to see you are not going to be alone." Sat within Seri's lap was a warm yellow light, it felt heavy against her, and warm on her skin. The light dulled, swirling and shimmering in shades of gold and amber and yellow. It was an egg. "Perhaps the first thing you must do to earn your next life is to nurture this one. It is not something you will ever see again in our waking world."

Seri
Seri felt like she was conveying all her feelings to a stone statue before seeing the sight moment of his chest breathing delicately. His black lips softened as he explained to her that sometimes rebirth isn't deserved, but earned. Her past achievements or failures didn't predict her coming here, but what she chooses to do with this new path is up to her. The Oracle gave her examples of a tumbleweed and its practicality of importance as it rolled on by an ever changing world. Its purpose may not be in that moment until a rainfall comes to unfurl and blossom it. The tumbleweed is her and although her purpose was not clear yet, once a rainfall of some sort comes along to rejuvenate her, then she'll realize her importance and shouldn't take herself for granted. Seri sat up staring into his black orb eyes pondering his response as the rain began to fall heavily outside. The dropped patted on the floor tiles dripping down the carved stone of the temple. The silence was deafening yet tranquil until he revealed a reason as to why she might have appeared when she did. In this land, manifestations known as Nightmares have begun to form from negative emotions attaching to the spirits of Zakernand. They're running wild creating fear and panic and it is said that she, Lunsera, is meant to aid the people of Zakernand from this threat.
Seri tilted her head confused wondering what these Nightmare's were capable of and how could see stop them? Suddenly, he noted that she wouldn't be alone as he gestured to her lap with a small smile. She was surprised to see and feel a warm, yellow light envelop her lap. The light dulled into a golden amber, yellow shimmer that faded to reveal an egg! She gently cradled it as maternal tendencies took over. He gave her her first task with was took look after the egg in order to earn this new life was must now live. She simple shook her head lightly letting him impart any last words of wisdom before leaving the room. "Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you." Seri whispered as she laid the egg down on her pillow to change out of her clothes and into the robes she was given. With her regular clothes she swaddled the egg like a child and laid down next to it carefully. She hummed parts of a hymn of Scentiel that she remembered to the egg before drifting off into a peaceful sleep.
