Eddard Wolfencrest

"In this world you don't grow old...."
User Image
The speed one could move with experience in 3DM gears to this day still shocked him. With each use he was better with them, and with use he moved faster. The wind rushing through his snow white hair, sliding across his dark brown skin, making him squint a little so that his green eyes wouldn't water. One of the percs of joining the military was learning how use these little beauties, and he glad he had them. They gave him the ability to fight back, and that was more than enough to appreciate the gadgets. Finding himself in the common plaza before he'd even realized it, stopping on top of a roof to take in the signts. The plaza was rather peaceful at this time of a day, and that when it caught his attention.

A young woman being dragged into an alley way. With out even thinking on it, Eddard was moving across the roof tops, before diving down the alley from above. Shooting a javelin into the building structure so that he could slow his descent and change his direction. As the creep began removing the woman's gear, Eddard would grab the attacker, and tackle him to the ground. His fist raised, he began deliver a swift volley of punches with is right hand, while his left hand held the man by his collar, keeping him in place. Eddard looked back for a moment to see if she was alright. He face cascaded by shadow, so he could barely make out her expression but because of her uniform and gear, he knew she was military. "Are you alright!" He called out, still raining punches on the man's face.

"Being weak, cowardly, and foolish will earn you an early grave."

The man was not only unstrapping her gear, but was ready to invade a more private area. Her body surged with fear as the male was ready to commit the ultimate taboo to a woman's body, however, a knight shrouded in shadows didn't let him succeed. Alice was knocked to the floor, but the price of pain was worth the cost of her innocence still in contact. A physically fit dark skinned, snow haired solider was assaulting the criminal and reminding him of his pace. Although, at the violent rate he was going, the human race would continue to be in the sad state of affairs that it already is. The fellow comrade wanted to confirm that she is in an uninjured state and she diligent answered, "Yes! Stop, you'll kill him." Good or bad, he was still a human no matter how misguided.

The blonde was still shaken by the thief's presence, she felt obliged to abruptly stop her savior from ending his pathetic existence. The female soldier could identify Eddard's face, but she wasn't afraid of him like her previous attacker. Straightening her stiff muscles, she erected her frame and ran over to the two ferrous competitors. One side of her gear was counter balancing her weight because it dangled from the belt it was unbuckled from. She managed to make it two the two and she grabbed Wolfencrest's arched fist pulling it towards her body.

The rat weaseled his way out of the masculine solider's grip and limped down the alley leaving a trail of blood. She was sure he had either learned his lesson or will return to his self-taught barely survivable life style. Alice let out an exasperated exhale before her knees gave way. The struggle drained her energy and she felt like she was ready to faint. If she experienced this fear from a simple man, what would happen when she had to face the titans? She stared as Eddard trying to comprehend all that had happened. "Thank you. You saved me, is there anyway I can repay you?"

Her words fell upon deaf ears, as Eddard's fist fell upon the man's face, with each hit a bit more bruising showed, along with more blood spilling onto the ground. Eddard was enraged with what he had saw. To do something as so heinous to a woman, and even a woman giving her life to face Titan's so that scum like this thief could live to grow old like this theif. This imbecile would know Eddard's furry. Cocking his fist back for the final blow but as he readied to slam his fist down, he felt it obstructed and pulled back. His rage instantly vanished as he slowly raised, and his grip around the man's collar loosened enough for him to slither free. Why did scum like him had to survive, when innocents like his daughter had to befall the fate of being snacks for Titans.

He would stand straight and face the girl, his green eyes widened as face came into view and the red subsiding. "Elizabeth...." The name would leave his lips in a bit of a shock, and he almost took a step forward. No it couldn't be, he grabbed his head and shook it viciously. Elizabeth had been dead for the twenty two years but this girl looked so much like his daughter. The resemblance was unbelievable. A serene calm as he looked at the young woman, and his expression soften tremendously. Hearing her thanks and questioned snapped him out of his trance and he shook his head once more. "No, no one should expect payment when helping another out." He would say, his stoic expression returning as if it never left. "What are you doing out here so late shouldn't you be either at barracks or the ball?" He asked crossing his arms at his chest.

"Being weak, cowardly, and foolish will earn you an early grave."

Her savior's diminished and his emotions soothed until he examined her facial featured. He was in a state of shock as if he had seen a transparent spirit of a girl he once cared for. Doubling over in agony, Alice became worried and was ready to place a motherly nurtured hand on his shoulder. However, he arranged his subconscious memories and altered his body to a more relaxed posture seeing that the threat was gone. The trainee re-strapped her the metal sword slot holder to her side properly before standing up. The exterior suffered a bit of damage by being scrapped along the cobbled stone ground when she fell. The gear was sturdy for the most part and could weather harm infliction.

The boy questioned by she was out late strolling the town by herself and she tried to think of a less demeaning answer. Observing his face once more, this time in the light of the moon, she vaguely remembered him. On the chaotic boat ride over to the training grounds, the girl had almost fallen unconscious from starvation and fear. Eddard was on the boat with her and handed her what little food he had before moving onto the next unfortunate soul. He was almost like a priest, but instead of abolishing sins he waned the enviable truth. Human had lost the fight to the titan that conquered Wall Maria that faithful day, one she could never forget.

Alice kept quiet about the repressed memory and said, "I'm going to the ball with the captain of the Survey Corps, but I was afraid he would be embarrassed to be seen with me. I'm no where close to his standard or the standards for this district. I just want to make a good impression. I'm a fool. I almost got myself in an unimaginable situation because of it. Anyway, what are you doing here?" She asked hoping her sad tale wouldn't effect the boy's nonchalant style.

Eddard's eyebrow raised and he tilted his head slightly to the left. She nearly put herself in dangerous situation because of an insecurity? Maybe she failed to realise that the world that they once knew was gone, and the importance of society class was out the window, and those who still clung to it were to pompous and ignorant to the realities of this world they lived in. They were human, each and everyone of them, no amount of coin, or paper would ever change that. They were came from the their mother, cried, s**t themselves and begged for a suckle at her breast. They grew older, got spanked, scraped their knee and learned lessons. Became adults, bled and fought for survival only to eventually face reality that death would come for them. All humans face these things.

"You should've let trivial things, such as class trouble you, your a fine young lady and the captain is undoubtedly proud to be taking you to the ball. If anyone should treat you any less than them, than I'll be there to kick their asses out." He would say sounding almost fatherly, though this was unintentional. He couldn't shake off the fact that she looked so much like Elizabeth, from the color of her hair and eyes, and even the pigmentation of her skin. His eyes would fall to her gear, and a frown fell upon his face. "You should make sure you have that checked by maintenance, you don't want it seizing up on you in battle." Eddard would say remember many a soldier loosing their lives to faulty equipment.

"I'm here just taking a stroll. I grew bored of the ball, and my shift was over." He looked down as he pulled his pocket watch from his breast pocket, checking the time. "Which reminds me, it should be starting up soon. So this is whats going to happen. If you still want what ever you came here for, I will escort you around and make sure you get home safely then after that, I'll be returning to my chaperoning duties at the ball." He said answering her question, before placing his pocket watch back in his breast pocket.

"Being weak, cowardly, and foolish will earn you an early grave."

He probably thought her a fool, but instead treated as if she was his little sister. She had Mari growing up, but had always wanted a male figure by their side contributing to the labor and considering their well being. He ensured her that she was a lovely lady and insecurities were nothing to fret over. The qualifications of high class society were overrated for the most part because who knows how long that will protect them. The titans possibly expand their reinforcements all the time and humanity isn't nearly close enough to discovering what kind of entity their battling against. They remain ignorant and obvious to the reality surrounding them and a party wasn't going to make the cannibalistic beast disappear.

Eddard insisted that her gear should be examined or else she would befall the same fate as her sister. However, it has yet to be known that whether Mari's gear was sabotaged or not. Still, Alice would take responsibility upon herself to assure that she wouldn't falter during battle. She didn't want the titans to have the benefit of claiming another helpless victim. The snow haired male answered her question which was more reasonable then hers anyway and decided to stay with her as a personal body guard. "Thank you. You so kind to me and I swear I'll return the favor somehow."

The blonde always repaid her debts no matter how insignificant they may seem. "Your right, we shouldn't linger here any long." The farm girl gestured for the male to follow and purchased the gloves since it would have been a waste coming all this way not to. After they exited the shop, Alice's bright blue eyes trailed along the interior of Wall Sina. What was it like staring off into an open landscape obscured by titans? She would find out eventually especially since she was joining the Survey Corps. "How did we come to this? As if a giant wall could offer protection."

The blonde didn't realize she was talking out loud, but did realize that the two hadn't properly introduced themselves. "My name is Alice Wiess. What's yours, Hero?" The trainee smirked at her clever nicknaming abilities. She knew him indirectly, of course, but still wanted to announce the formalities and become acquired acquaintances.

Eddard merely shook his head. "I told you, no need to thank me, I'm sure if you witnessed the same thing you'd done the same." Eddard said trying to reassure that she need not worry about repaying him, they were comrades in the military; helping one another came with job. Not being one to hold debts, nor one to expect favors when he extended his aid, only thing he did expect from her was to learn her lesson and train diligently for the battles to come. He took a quick look around the area, there weren't even any military police or garrison soldiers patrolling; was the ball that important that it left the city so defenseless?

When she spoke and gestured for him to follow, Eddard did just that, his hands in his pants pockets as he walked. Following about two feet behind her so she could lead the way. When the entered the shop, his eyes darted all around the store, taking in the different items that had, as well as their multitude of merchandise. He wondered his Elizabeth had grown to this girl's age would she be interested in these kinds of things, more or less would he'd been able to afford to provide her with such things. If the Titans hadn't attack he'd probably never had joined the military swearing vengeance nor would he receive his salary. He'd still be on the streets, doing odd jobs or working for the crime lord still. The thought alone put a disgusting taste in his mouth, and he wanted to spit but kept his composure, and watched as the young blonde bought a pair of gloves.

When she spoke allowed, as they exited the shop his green eyes fell upon her. "It doesn't." He would say simply, his voice as nonchalant as ever. "It's nothing more than figure head, to keep the people calm and under false sense of security. The real protections is the men and women who take up the sword, and risk their lives to protecting these ignorant people." He said a sigh falling past his lips before raising his head, and turning to her as she introduced herself. "Alice Wiess, eh? My name is Eddard Wolfcrest." He would say as politely as he could manage. Smirking at the trainee, knowing full well that 'Hero' would probably be what she addressed him as in casual settings. But he wasn't a hero, far from it, just a soldier.

"Being weak, cowardly, and foolish will earn you an early grave."

Zecane Raz-gar

Zecane caught up after Alice had dashed out without him. "Alice, any reason you ran off like that?" he asked, barely out of the breath. He then saw Wolfercrest with her. "Ah hello, Mr. Wolfencrest good to see you. I see you have met Alice." he smiled walking up to them. How he knows the names of other soldiers is beyond anyone. He also did not know about the attack earlier but did notice Alice looked roughed up.

"Alice are you alright?" he asked checking her. "Did someone harm you?"

Eddard continued to insist that she not waste her gratitude on him. He's a very humble man and prefers have his good deeds remain in the shadows. It's probably for the best because she rather him be humble than a narcissistic a*****e. She respected no favor in return and she respected his wished by not arousing the subject again. His watchful gaze espied the dull illuminated area around them even inside the accessory store. Similar to Zecane, she felt invulnerable to the predators around her with the white haired solider at her side. The farm girl wondered if the male felt complete with the reincarnation of his daughter by his side again? Although, the blonde knew virtually nothing about this girl only the name that Eddard mentioned very vaguely.

Ostensibly, he overheard her audible inner thoughts on the issue of the titans and the blockade imprisoning them. The experienced soldier voiced his opinion that essentially agreed with hers and she was happy. She wasn't the only one who thought so poorly of the lifestyle the human race had succumbed too. Still was the decease of so many causalities really advancing the war any further. Alice wouldn't dare bestow such a inescapable fate upon her children and their children's children. The girl's spine rattled with feature of the future, but her comrade must have noticed her discomfort by switching the subjects. The formalities were not registered and the two could look forward to a long term friendship, she hoped. The nickname, Hero, would still be used to address him of course.

Before she had time to say another word, the captain appeared wondering where she had fled. Yumi and Cole must have neglected to either lie or reveal to the her true agenda. She probably scared him half to death making him distressed by her constant disappearances. Zecane interrogated her right away and sorely she showed him the blue velvet gloves. "I want to make a good impression so your image won't be jeopardized." She admitted, but doubted that he heard her because his attention was directed to Wolfcrest. However, it dramatic change to her disorderly semblance. The trainee didn't want to worry him an further so again her mouth spouted lies. "No...I...I fell. When I was running. You see I'm still trying to distribute the gear with the my weight and I must have miscalculated my position when I ran, but I'm fine." She smiled, and looped back to the ball. "I bet my dress is finished. May Eddard come along. He did help me up after my little disaster after all."

Eddard stood straight, and brought his left hand behind his back, and his right hand clenched into a fist, as it struck against his chest. His feet perfectly even with one another, as they came together leaving no gap in between. "Sir Raz-gar, sir! It is a pleasure to see you as well." He said greeting his commanding officer with the respect he deserved before releasing the salute, and returning to his more relaxed stance, well as relaxed as Eddard could ever be. "Yea, I just became acquainted with her today." When Zecane's attention turned to Alice, Eddard faced her as well, hearing all the questions the captain drilled her with, Eddard wondered if she would explain how they met.

Eddard's eyes narrowed on the trainee as lies left her lips. Not sure if it was to keep the captain from worrying or if it was because she was ashamed of the incident and didn't want to relive it by talking about it. Either way, her reasons were hers and he didn't ruin her good standing with the captain by pointing it out. He would merely slide his hands in his pockets, keeping quiet, and watching from the sidelines.

Zecane Raz-gar

"Jeopardize my image?" Zecane said before chuckling and took Alice's hand. "Alice...You really think I care what a bunch of stuck up officers think of me? I, no we, go out beyond these walls and fight titans face to face while they hide in here. They should be more worried about their own image." he smiled. He looked at the beautiful blue velvet gloves.

She then spoke about her 'fall' and he knew she was lying, he would of called her out on it but she was safe and that's all that mattered to him. He had a feeling Wolfencrest saved her in some way from what really happened. "Well I am very glad he was there to help you." Zecane smiled. "Yes he may follow, Vince would love to flirt with him and annoy him." he teased as they walked back to the shop.

Vince was just finishing up with the dress.

Alice was excepted a mutual understanding, but instead received a lecture. Apparently, Zecane could care less on how the snobs and military fractions see him. His occupation defined who he was, but even without he was still an extraordinary guy; she was blessed to have him as her lover. He also wasn't as naive as she expected because he knew for a fact that she was lying through her teeth. Eddard had a chance to explain the true situation and maintain his duties to the captain, but stonewalled himself for her sake. Maybe he got the gist as to why she opened fitted to her leading commander and authority figure. Anyway, her dress was finished and the hero was allowed to fellow by order of Raz-gar's graces. However, his brothers sexual interest were opening known and she wasn't sure how Eddard would accept the erotic news. She laughed to ease the tension before leading the two to the tailors quaint shop.

Upon arrival, Vince was snipping away some lose threads before deeming his creation worthy. It didn't look like much to the female the way the garment dangled limply from his hand. The colors were so breath-taking that an accidental high pitched, Thank you, irrupted from her lungs. Swiping the wadded up dress from Vince's light skinned, smooth complexion hand, she urgently rushed to the back to try it on. Once again, the blond unstrapped her gear and descended to the floor neatly. The device didn't need to become more damaged than it all ready was and removed the rest of her clothing. Luckily, a chair was placed in the room specifically to assemble her items upon. She would ask Vince if her clothes and gear could remain in the shop for safe keeping until the ball was over and she was sure he would attend as well.

Draping the dress over her frail frame, she adjusted it until it maintained a sung fit around her. The soft fabric was so inviting and she admired herself in the mirror. The sibling must have thought ahead because knobby heeled blue slippers were conveniently placing in a corner of the room for her. Lifting up the white shirt, she wiggled her rough raw feet into the delicate shoe. If only her feet weren't so deformed from all the agonizing labor she endured for years, the shoes would properly accommodate her. The trainee wasn't going to complain about the "anonymous" gift. Again she stared at herself in the mirror contemplating whether or not to unbraid her golden locks. Mari loved her hair in this fashion and it would be a shame to defile her memory, but it was just for one night. The rubber bands holding the braids were ripped forcible off and place on top of her fold up uniform.

Running her fingered through the intertwined strands of hair, the finalized look was waves of gold cascading down to her shoulders. She manually parted her hair so some of it would fall over her big blue puff sleeves that covered her shoulder and forearm. The rest of her arms were covered by white sleeve that was split into that connected at the wrist of the sleeve. Alice proceeded to cover her hands with the solid blue gloves that almost matched the shade of blue her torso contained. Now was the true test.

Closing her eyes and hold her breath, she walked out onto the main floor and peered at the three men waiting for approval. Her freckled face turned red with unreasonable embarrassment. "What do you think?"

Eddard Wolfencrest

"In this world you don't grow old...."
User Image
Eddard smirked hearing the captain's remark to Alice's reason for coming out here. It would seem more people of their faction had the same ideology when it came to the over puffed, flamboyant, treacherous upper craft people at the ball. Not saying everyone who attended the event were worthy of such a description but the ones who would judge a fellow soldier due to past financial status were. To be honest, those who never picked up an axe to cut wood, a hoe to till the lands for crops, or even woke up before the rooster to work on their hands and knees, should not only worship but respect those who did, for it was those who did who provided the lazy aristocrats with necessities to live their cushy lives. When it was decided who would tag along, he didn't say anything merely just followed alone, but was concerned about this Vince character, and how he would annoy him. Eddard did not like to pestered, and would normally, and swiftly deal with the annoyance.

Moving from the streets to another shop, seeing a man work on fabric. He wondered if this was Vince, and even more how would the man would annoy him. Though his thoughts were brought to an abrupt in when he heard the high pitch shriek of a thank you. He cringed a bit, but soon straightened himself out, leaning up against the door panel as he waited for Alice to collect her merchandise and leave. The young woman left in an hurry, and go into the back to try on her dress.

Finding himself in thought once again, Eddard stood posted against the door panel. His arms crossed at his chest, and his left leg over his right, crossed by the ankle, standing at six feet three inches, and lean with a very muscular physique; Eddard always looked ready for combat. Leaning their with his eyes closes, patiently waiting for the young woman, to exit the dressing room. Wondering when the next expedition outside the walls would happen, or the next strike from the Titans would occur. Wanting to stay ever vigilant.

When Alice voice filled his ears, his eyes slowly open, letting the light shine of his green eyes. His jaw nearly dropped but, remaining his composure was one of his many talents, so with the years of practice, he did just that. A smirk on his face as she came out the dressing room, looking as lovely ever. He noticed the change in her hair as well, taking the rubber bands out to let her hair drape down. If Eddard didn't know any better, this girl was his daughter, especially now with her change in appearance. Eddard never been good with fashion, or how to dress women, had a hard time keeping Elizabeth looking neat and groomed. Usually just combing her hair down so it resembled a bit like Alice's does not. When it came to stores he mostly went to the women inside, to ask them, what a girl her age should, and would be wearing. Usually resulting in them complimenting his dedication to his little girl, a feat most men in the age neglected focusing more on work, politics, money, or their sons.

"You look beautiful." Eddard said, forcing himself out of his past, and focusing on the here and now.

"Being weak, cowardly, and foolish will earn you an early grave."

Zecane Raz-gar

Vince smiled when Alice completely loved the dress and thanked him greatly before running to the back to change. He then looked up and saw his brother, Zecane, and the new gentleman. "Who is the handsome gent with you, Zecane." he chuckled standing up. Once again it was hard to tell the difference between Zecane and Vince in their appearance. Vince is bisexual as well like his brother, but he a lot more flirty. He does mainly to tease people he does find attractive but he acts normal for the most part.

Vince walked over to Wolfencrest to shake his hand. "Vince Raz-gar at your service." he smiled. "Its a pleasure to meet a handsome soldier like you." he chuckled. Zecane chuckled as well and then heard Alice walk out and she looked stunning. She then asked what do they think and after Wolfencrest gave his answer, he gave his.

"I truly have no words my dear." Zecane smiled. "You look far more beautiful than the woman in this city." he said, softly taking her hand.
