Agnès “Clementine” Edelfelt

Aria || Tamer || Upper 1st Class

        Agnès looked over to the young tamer as he began to pull up information he had that would create a web of the known murder sites. A hologram floating up above the device as the boy began to explain the events as well as possible theories behind the locations. Some of this information was new to the Edelfelt woman, her task hadn’t been one to take on the mission but instead to provide the support if deemed necessary. Additionally she was to act in the Arc Knight’s absence to collect data and potential leads. The more she learned about the issue of Pandemonium and its strange game master, Vesalius, the more it seemed this was a mission that likely should have been thrown too much more experienced exorcists. However, the dogs that played Vesalius’s dangerous game seemed to provide little trouble for these exwires.

        The young tamer spoke about theories of a rampage causing the deaths of these people..? That theory didn’t add up. Her icy eyes falling to the ground as he discussed his theory, her mind busy processing other possibilities. It seemed unlikely that someone would lose their cool and then drain all the bodily fluid from these people only to take the time to hang the fragile bodies in the hallway. If it were a rampage the bodies would of likely be left were they had fallen to return to dust. The alternative being that the killer would bother to hang the victims before he draining the bodies? Seemed like a strange prospect. The set-up of the corpses looked more like a test of power- perhaps this is where it began. The corpses potentially the subjects of the game master’s crazy ideals; perhaps they had been used to perfect the demonic parasites that would later be “downloaded” to gift “supernatural” abilities players possess.

        Agnès looked back up towards the hologram as the young tamer began to discuss the other locations where other known victims had perished. The methods of death seemed random- a stabbing, drowning, electrocution and burning.. In addition to the dried up corpses here. The boy brought up how the murders were targets, of some kind, given how the matches of Pandemonium were supposedly arranged online leaving most alive. ‘It is likely that the method of death isn’t the important factor but rather who the victim was- and likely who they were to the community of psychopaths who play this s**t. Wouldn’t surprise me if that sort of information is now buried.’ Agnès thought to herself. The boy also had a point that the clear shard- or claw? Was perhaps a portion of a weapon that had broken off.. But then what was it doing in a key pad to open a door..? Was it to keep others out or to hide something within?

        Agnès looked up to the young tamer as he interrupted her thoughts; evidently a tournament was to be held this weekend. The boy began asking her opinion on what should be done, and questioning if she was the one in charge of this mission. Although the later brought up aggression over why she would have allowed him, the blood of her enemy no less, to work on this if someone of her caliber had taken this mission as a lead. Agnès chuckled, the prospect of his threats were comical. There was always more than one way to get someone’s cooperation. A sly smile crossed her lips before she spoke,
        “I haven’t been in charge of this one, boy. As far as I know, Travion is supposed to lead this mission… If other parties weren’t interested in Pandemonium’s demise you likely wouldn’t have gotten any form of assistance from me or anyone else. The Arc Knight was supposed to act as a mentor and monitor during this mission for you. Yet he failed to do that and I was sent to monitor in his place. I’ll be taking lead over this mission, officially, soon.” Her voice held a hint of annoyance in it as she spoke about the Arc Knight. Showing how she didn’t particularly care for the man. Not his methods and especially not how he tended to be late or wouldn’t show up at all.

        “As for how the mission is to be handled, it will remain in house. You both seem competent enough to continue with it. We will attend this tournament, the goal to gather information first… There will be plenty of fighting to be done, not to worry. If it is some sort of official tournament then it is likely the game master will be in attendance. Taking him alive would be ideal. But killing him is always an option. Until then, gathering information how you can blend in with the other players would be advisable.” Agnès said to the young exorcists. It bothered her how the best she was able to offer with the information she had was vague at best. Something that could be open to… Interesting.. Interpretations. The willowy woman brushed off the thought as she grasped her phone once more. Pulling it from the small purse that hung by her side Agnès began tapping and swiping her finger across its surface, pulling up a direct connection to a separate Vatican “hotline”. One meant for the assistance of the more complex issues and investigations. The willowy woman began to register the building they stood in as a point of interest- asking that a team that included a Doctor with knowledge of Forensic pathology investigate the place. If something related to Pandemonium were to come up it was to be emailed directly to her. Agnès looked up from her phone to see if either of the young exorcists had questions or comments about the vague path laid out before them.

The young tamer gave a sly smirk before all the screens vanished back into the phone and he slid it back into his pocket. The single thought of having to be anywhere near the headmaster of the Academy during a mission like this gave him a headache instantly. He shook his head and waved his left hand to express his discontent ”I’d rather be paired with you than to deal with that bumbling idiot. I don’t even see how someone like that even got appointed to become a member of the Arc Knights, surly someone else was more capable for that title.” Ignazio protested as he began to stretch his arms above his head as his body was getting stiff and the numbing feeling in his back was going away. ”Well if that’s all, then I guess you’ll be keeping in touch. I’m going to head back to the Academy now, and take care of these wounds of mine. No need in getting an infection and dying at such a young age.”

Ignazion started to walk towards the exit and soon stopped next to Victor before looking over at his slightly. ”We’ll have to catch up later, I’m sure we have a lot to talk about.” Ignazio said moments before starting to walk again down the long white hall and soon found himself grabbing his left side with his right hand and falling over his feet to his knees. Ignazio’s eyes glared at the ground as he grit his teeth forcing his weakened body to stand and slowly walk towards the exit in which they used as an entrance earlier. The young heir used the wall as a crutch, leaning against it with most of his weight forcing it to hold his body upright until he got to the shattered window. Ignazio pushed himself off of the wall slowly and stood straight as he saw the many flashlights from the different members of the Order looking around the area. He climbed out of the window and leaped down slowly. The leather soles of his shoes clicked against the concrete and continued in a melodic rhythm as he walked pass the men and women as they conducted their investigation. Soon after the police arrived on the scene and the young Barthomeloi just moved pass the officer cars through a side alley leading back to the crowded city streets. Ignazio placed his back against a shop wall as he caught a glimpse of news cameras and cars blocking the street. Swearing under his breath the young tamer looked up and soon pushed his body off of the ground with a powerful leap before bouncing off of the air with small azure glyphs appearing under his feet. Like the Aria he was he utilized his ability to create barriers and created small barriers of Qi under his feet as he reached a different height with each leap. Soon the young tamer found himself on top of a local bar. Ignazio looked down at the news trucks and faded backwards into the darkness holding his side still.

Leaping backwards the boy continued to leap from building to building, using his Qi as a boost for each leap allowing him to reach the surrounding buildings with little trouble at all. He continued to make his movements until he was back at the academy where he could get his wounds healed by someone he trust.

Fighter || Aria || Exorcist || Exwire

Victor smiled at Ignazio before he explained that it was an inaccurate suggestion and Victor knew him to be right. Their probably more like mummies. Victor thought to himself as Ignazio shared the facts of a distinct difference between ghouls and zombies. Ignazio was truly a scholar to know so much of their enemy. Like a living Bestiary, the Exorcist cited the demon's characteristics without a doubt. It had appeared as Agnes had suggested a Succubus which brought to mind a certain teacher with a strong disposition. Ignazio stated that one would not feed on so many and that it would not drain them of their fluids but only of their Qi. He then went on to explain that he had not further searched the area because of his discovery of the battle outside. Victor had a thoughtful expression as he heard his classmate speak. He looked down at one of the bodies. It was hard to tell the age in their current state but he could see it was a man and that he wore an ID around his neck. Victor bent down and looked over the neck and face area, even the chest and arms. He didn't see any bite marks so vampirism was definitely not plausible. Victor saw that Ignazio was now moving toward the door so he was quick to take the man's ID and put it in his pants pocket. He could hear Ignazio talking about his wounds and acknowledged them to be a hindrance in a further search of the building. Victor stood up to follow and saw that Ignazio had found something lodged in the keypad beside the door. It had been used to break the pad for the door perhaps to grant access. Victor saw Ignazio show Agnes and he leaned over to take a look at it as well. A claw? That could reveal a lot more if we could get DNA testing done on it. I don't know where but that could show us a new face of our adversary. Victor thought before looking away. His mind tried to run through demons that had claws but there were far too many. There are Djinn. They use their magic to enthrall their prey and drain them of their fluids but that doesn't explain the multiple exorcisms. Maybe there are more than one demon working together, or under a leader. The computer aspect of the possessions also are unlike the Djinn who work directly with a person's mind. Perhaps some form of technomancy but that would be a great rarity. Victor looked up at the claw once more. And this claw. It would belong to a demon of carnivore characteristics which would involve tearing of the flesh, something not shown on the victims here. Victor finished off his cigarette as he pondered the mystery and threw it on the floor before stepping on it, to snuff out the fire.
There were many theories that could be made, Ignazio made note of that as he began to go over the police files with the female exorcist. Victor looked over the door, knowing that there could be many more discoveries to be made there but Ignazio was not willing to go through. His injuries would hold him back and it was a weeknight after all. He had received a message from someone letting him know about some sort of tournament being held informally that weekend. Ignazio brought it up and asked the exorcist what her take of it was and managed to throw in a question to her intentions over the mission. Victor didn't know how high of rank she was but Ignazio didn't seem to mind as he questioned her. Several ill mentions of Tavion's name were made referring to his absence and incompetence. Victor wondered where it was that he had gone and if he was alright. The exorcist had taken control over the mission and let them know that they would attend the tournament in order to gather intelligence, which suited Victor but something told him they weren't invited. As Ignazio took his leave, he gave a friendly invitation to catch up later and Victor appreciated it. “Definitely.” He said with a returning smile and a nod towards his friend. Victor watched him go into the darkness and down the corridor until he could see him no longer. He turned to the other Exorcist and looked her through quickly before extending a half gloved hand. “I don't think we've met. I'm Victor.” He introduced himself with a grin. Victor didn't want to make a bad first impression but was prepared for an attitude alike Ignazio. She looks unpredictable. Hard to read. I don't like that. Victor thought to himself. She was surely the Tamer for the dragon they saw outside and she didn't show signs of physical affinity so that meant she was either a Dragoon, Aria or Doctor. Seeing as she wasn't holding a firearm in her possession, he could guess with a fifty percent chance of success.

Agnès “Clementine” Edelfelt

Aria || Tamer || Upper 1st Class

        There were few things in life that the Edelfelt would agree with the Barthomeloi on- and the topic of the young Arc Knight was one of them. Neither family showed open support for the man, if anything they were the man’s biggest critiques. Agnès didn’t often show her dislike for the man, due to the fact she often was forced to report to him on matters involving True Cross. Even so, he had made a mistake tonight. His absence was another mark against his record. Agnès wouldn’t forgive him for this episode so quickly- she had after all just returned to Japan. Not even a day of rest before picking up on the local affairs and tasks. Perhaps, no rest for the wicked. “That is one of the few things we will ever agree on.” Agnès said to the young tamer as he made his exit.

        Agnès watched as the blonde haired boy approached her, although he spoke politely she could see that the boy was analyzing her. His body language didn’t express sexual desire or the shyness some other males his age might when speaking to an older woman. The boy had a notable height advantage forcing Agnès to look up to the young fighter as she took his hand for a quick, but firm, handshake. An almost cruel smile crossed her lips before she spoke;
        “We were never in a position to meet, Victor. I am Agnès Edelfelt.” The woman’s icy eyes left the young boys face as she watched as people carrying small grey tool boxes began to enter the space which the two stood. More Vatican specialists, which could only mean other exorcists were in the process of blocking off the building access to the public- they would seem to be Police. But, not the common cop that wrote tickets for parking on the streets and violating speed limits. Agnès’s icy glare returned to the boy after a moment of observation, “I’m surprised you haven’t meandered off back to True Cross or to a young lover. Don’t you have classes in the morning?” Her words weren’t spoken as harshly as the young fighter may have been expecting. Especially if he had heard the spat earlier in the alleyway between the tamer and herself.

Fighter || Aria || Exorcist || Exwire

Victor looked into Agnes's eyes as she shook his hand firmly. Something she said sparked curiosity in Victor but it went unexplored. He noticed her last name and recognized it as one of the most known Exorcist family names. It was safe to say that she wasn't from around there since her family didn't originate in japan. It was often spoken of the rivalry between the Barthomeloi and Edelfelt but Victor didn't sense too much of it between Ignazio and Agnes in their exchanges but perhaps he hadn't been around to hear them at the beginning. After their introduction, Agnes looked behind Victor to see a team of Vatican agents coming in surely to study the scene. It was something Victor would like to be a part of but what Agnes said rang true. She said that she had expected him to leave sooner and that is what Victor planned but he wouldn't leave so abruptly without introducing himself to the lady. Victor smiled and nodded as Agnes hinted at the school schedule. “I should be returning but I don't know if anyone will be there to miss me if I don't.” He said with a slight shrug and grin. Victor could tell he was simply in the way of the examiners now so he began to move backwards and towards the exit. “Look forward to hunting with you.” He said with a wave of his hand before turning and walking straight for the broken window when he spotted a door that the team had found passage through. Victor made his way out of the building through the door and out into the clearing. There were several pieces of equipment being unloaded from bags and cases, surely to analyze what had been found. By the time I get back, everything would have been 'swept'. I guess I can take the research side of the case for now. Victor thought to himself as he walked through the alley and up to the building he knew his motorcycle was on. He looked up at the roof and scratched his head, wondering how he was going to get it off of there. He sighed at the though of spending energy to lower it when he was so exhausted from the day's activities. Victor then closed his eyes, eager to get to the shower and bed, sooner rather than later. Qi began to swell within him, invigorating him. It flowed within him and throughout the body. Through a few deep breaths, Victor meditated and readied himself to exert some energy. He opened his eyes and looked up at a fire escape stairwell. Finding the ladder, he jumped up and took hold of it. It didn't take him too long to pull himself up to the platform before he was bounding up the stairs, skipping sets at a time. Once he reached the roof, he didn't stop there. He ran for the bike, still set and ready. Not bothering to put on his helmet, he hopped over the backseat backrest and landed on his seat. Victor then brought forth the key from his pocket and threw it into the bike, getting it started. He rolled close to the edge, overlooking the clearing and looked down one more time, thinking he might get a glimpse of the exorcist one more time. She's not from the Academy, that's certain. Close enough to know the Headmaster, though. Victor thought before turning and speeding to the opposite edge where the street laid out below. He reached a good speed and shifted his weight back. When the front wheel hit the edge, it rode over and suddenly the bike was falling. It hit the top of a cargo trailer before riding on to the front of the eighteen wheeler before hitting pavement. Victor pulled on the throttle to take him towards the main street nearby that would take him right for the school.

Fighter || Aria || Exorcist || Exwire

Victor had reached Downtown where they had all the shopping and restaurants in one concentrated area. By that time, he had finished his cigarette and was looking for a place to have dinner. Hands in pockets, he walked alongside the street, melding in with the moderate amount of people that traveled alike him. Victor could see couples out for the night and families going shopping or to the movies at a theater nearby. Victor had the Examination on his mind. He had read the announcement on his phone and the application they had put out. It turned out that the location of the examination was hidden on an island unable to be reached by plane. It made Victor wonder how it was that it had so much revenue when not many people knew about it. It was somewhere in the Pacific and Exorcist families of notable prestige would go there for vacation or recreation. If they know about it, I'm sure Ignazio already knows where it is. But I better have a back-up plan. Victor thought as he passed a Teriyaki stand just outside the entrance to a shopping center. It was part of the examination to find the location of the island and the means to reach it so it was possible that Ignazio would keep that information close to the vest. Victor was well capable of uncovering sensitive information but where to look was always the question. He had connections with his Sponsors but that piece of information might be well above his reach. I'm sure if I let them know of it being a vital key to my success, they might concede. Victor was thoughtful as he walked down the street. He now looked for a pay phone anywhere he could find. Some hotels had them but they were also easy to find at gas stations. Victor had come across one just after the shopping center and made his way there. Passing the gas pumps, he headed for the side of the building and found three pay phones. They were worn and not used very often because of the dust buildup on the top surface. It was typical since everyone owned a cell phone at that day and age. Victor didn't find the usual Midas card slot to slide his card which was good. His Sponsors weren't fond of being tied to specific phone calls or locations. Pulling out a few coins of Zeni from his pocket, he counted his change to see if he had enough for the call. Realizing that he had the money, he gave a quick glance around to see if anyone was watching him and he pulled out a small punch from his back left pocket. The pouch had a zipper at the top and he opened it. He pulled out a small device that looked electrical at the least. It had a circular surface on one side and the other had terminals for wiring. It looked a lot like an unplugged and dismantled microphone for a telephone. Victor easily screwed off the bottom half of the pay phone's microphone and dismantled it. He rewired the new one and screwed it on. Victor then inserted the coins and began to dial a long number. After a few moments, a voice prompted him to enter an extension then a pin number. After that, Victor got in touch with someone who asked him what was his reason for calling and what his status was. He was on hold for less than a minute before Victor was allowed to speak freely. “I need a drop on Hanging Neck Island.” Was all he said. After a moment, the person on the line let him know that he didn't have the proper clearance so Victor sighed. “I want to speak to the AIC.” The person on the line was silent for a moment before he gave him a location and a signal for him to watch for to let him know his where he could get in contact with the person. Victor let the person know he understood and was quickly hung up on. That wasn't so bad. Victor thought as he began to unscrew the scrambler and put it back in his pocket.

After putting the payphone back together he continued on his way down the street. There was a small cafe that caught his eye. It was the small local places that often had those special dishes that were hard to find. They were close to home cooking if Victor ever had any. Walking in through the glass double doors, he found himself in a casual dining place, filled with the smell of coffee. There were several tables free and Victor made himself at home at a booth by the back corner and sat down facing the door. There was a single window that looked out onto the street and one could see the Cafe's name imprinted on the outside of that window. Victor looked around a bit, taking in the place when a waitress came by with a menu. She had an apron on, in her early twenties, Japanese, brunette, short hair. She smiled at him and Victor smiled back. The waitress had set a menu in front of him for him to look through but as she left, Victor noticed someone outside the window and across the street. There was a man on his phone who looked like he was having a casual conversation, a man wearing a business suit and glasses of an age of approximate fifty. The man was looking into the cafe right at him but once Victor laid eyes on him, the man looked away into the street. To anyone, that was an everyday occurrence in crowded places but the way the man had turned away was not the usual look of disinterest but more a look of apathy. It could be due to the conversation he was having but that was suspicious enough. If Victor could have been closer, he could have made out what the man was saying through a practice of lip reading. He returned his eyes to the menu and looked as if he was looking through their items but he would glance up over the edge of the menu to the man outside and could see him looking in his direction again. Victor tried to ignore it and tried to enjoy his night. He figured he was probably someone hired to keep an eye on him for his Sponsors so there was no reason for alarm. Finding what he wanted he put the menu down and leaned back in his seat. The waitress quickly came around after serving drinks for another party just a few booths away. She asked him what he wanted and Victor gave her his order. “I want the special hamburger with onions and cheese and a strawberry milkshake with fudge on top.” He let the girl know with a grin. She took his order happily and let him know that it would be brought to him shortly. Victor then put his arms behind his head as he leaned and thought about the Pandemonium case. He had a lead that had gone cold and with only a location to work with, he wasn't in very good standing. Victor remembered Agnes and her sudden involvement with the case. He had looked up information of the Exorcist but there wasn't much at all. Either she was part of the Vatican's hush force or she was new. Something told him that she wasn't new at all. Ignazio seemed to know her and her, him. They talked about families and competency but Ignazio always liked to see how much higher he could place himself above others. Victor shook his head slightly, as his eyes moved from the tabletop to the other people sitting in the diner with him. He had to focus on finding team members for the Examination although it seemed almost pointless for the fact that they were to be reassigned teams for the final phase. If there are teams for the written exam, does than mean that they can share answers? What would be the point if they couldn't, point sharing? He thought about the survival portion of the exam, surely to be the second hardest next to the battle royal. There were sure to be all kinds of traps and puzzles to be met which made Victor reluctant. Becoming an Exorcist meant many things so it was hard to imagine just what kinds of things awaited them at the island. Victor would need a strong team that specialized in different fields. They could encounter poisons, animals and most of all, demons. He figured that if Alexandria and him went they, would be covered when it came to floral and close range defense. While Victor was also an Aria, most of his attacks were based on a combination of the two which often meant seeing and tracking his enemy. Numbers were also an advantage but it seemed that only teams of three were allowed, no more. Victor tried to remember who he knew in class. There was the pink haired male from before. Victor remembered seeing him in their weapons class and he had good aim. Perhaps a gunman was desirable. Victor knew his way around that kind of weaponry as well but his aim was surely not as good as someone who made it their specialty, or so Victor hoped.

Victor checked his watch as the waitress brought him his food. It wasn't too late to finish his meal and catch a cab back to the school but he wasn't so sure he wanted to go back that night. His roommate was probably already asleep and snoring like he usually did. Victor often chose to sleep earlier in order to avoid being kept up by the snoring but with the exam coming up, he needed his free time to train and study, most of all, study. Luckily, he had the night off from work. He had a part time job at Matsuda's and knew the owner pretty well. If he hadn't gotten employed there, who knows what Victor would have done. Most likely get into trouble with the local miscreants. Victor had a past of being involved with the lower class of citizens. While he never truly committed crimes to be accounted for, he was in the company of thieves and liars. That life he had left behind as he had traveled to the United States but he will always remember their mannerisms and tells that set them apart from the rest of the populace, unknowing and blissful. Victor dug into his hamburger, well cooked and loaded. He was quite impressed at how good it was that far from the States. Campus Town was full of foreign staff and students that came to attend True Cross Academy. It was prestigious enough that there was much international interest. Victor drank from his milkshake and nodded at it's quality. There was even whipped cream and a cherry on top. The waitress had come back to check on him and he responded. “Give my compliments to the cook. This burger is dead on!” Victor said after swallowing his mouthful. The waitress chuckled and nodded at his request. Victor had burgers like that back home in Virginia. The meal made him a bit nostalgic as he remembered how he used to pick up fast food at work on his lunch hour. Finishing his burger, Victor sighed and watched as the waitress came to take his plate and put down the tab. After she stepped away to give him some room, Victor looked back outside to see if the businessman was still there and realized that he was gone. Not thinking much about it, he pulled out his wallet and removed his Midas card. The waitress then returned with a reader and swiped the card. With Victor's approval, the Zeni were removed for the meal and all was paid for. Victor stood up and was thanked for having chosen to eat at the cafe by the waitress. Making his way out of the restaurant, Victor noticed someone sitting in a parked car across the street. It was a man with a hat and glasses. He appeared to be watching him but it was hard to tel with the glasses and distance between them. Victor turned and began to make his way down the sidewalk once again but this time, he wasn't alone. The car had been turned on and it turned onto the street. There was light traffic that started ans topped due to the foot traffic moving across the street frequently due to the concentration of restaurants and shops. Victor would look over his shoulder nearly every eight minutes, watching as the car followed him with a distance. Looking to test it as a tail, Victor took a right turn at the next intersection and kept moving. He looked and didn't see the car. Victor decided he was home free when suddenly, on the darker street, a car pulled out in front of him from an alley. Victor had to stop abruptly before a man came up behind him from an underground staircase to one of the buildings. Men suddenly dismounted the vehicle but Victor looked over his shoulder at the incoming man. Not waiting to see if he wanted to ask the time, he threw out a side kick with his right leg at the man's torso. To his surprise, the kick was caught with both the man's hands. By then the other three men from the car had come down on him. One of them had a taser and the familiar snapping from the voltage echoed in the street. Victor jumped and countered with his free leg, spin kicking the man in the head, causing him to stumble back while his comrades moved in. One had a bat and one had a crowbar. The one with the crowbar came first and swiped at him diagonally from top right. Victor stepped in towards him and blocked the swing at the man's wrist with his own left wrist. Victor then turned his hand and grabbed hold of the man's wrist before reaching under that left arm with his right. Victor gripped his left forearm with his right hand and twisted, forcing the man's arm backwards and away, dropping the weapon. At the same time, the one with the bat had gotten behind him and swung horizontally from the left. Still bending the other man's arm, Victor turned and stepped behind, causing the bat to miss and Victor to gain a human shield. The man struggled but Victor increased pressure and nearly dropped the man from the pain. The other four tried to surround him but Victor began to walk backwards into the alley way. All of them were carrying handguns, Victor could see their outlines at their waists so an enclosed space was his best bet. Stepped back past the stopped car, Victor threw his arms around the grabbed man's neck, not letting go of his arms either. Victor gripped tight around his neck and in a second or two he passed out. Victor tossed him forward at the incoming assailants. The fact they weren't shooting at him meant they wanted him alive or to teach him some sort of twisted lesson. The one with the taser stepped first and began to swing at Victor quickly, horizontally, and diagonally. Victor did his best to read the incoming swings and move out of the way backwards further into the alley way. As they moved back some more, the alley opened up a bit around a set of garage doors. The other three moved around to get at him too when Victor stopped. This should be far enough The man with the taser swung once more and Victor kicked into the man's swinging arm at the inside of the elbow causing it to fly backwards opening him up for three swift punches to the chest with a hook to the head. The man groaned from the force of the hit while the others attacked. The one with the bat swung downwards and the one on the other side had picked up the crowbar and was swinging horizontally at Victor's back. He spun a one eighty and threw both his arms up. The weapons met his hands and had been stopped suddenly. Victor gripped the weapons and pulled them together, forcing the two shocked men forward and closer to Victor who then threw two fists down into their stomachs simultaneously. As the men instinctively bent over, Victor had moved their heads so that they overlapped in front of him before his right leg reached over Victor's head, dropping like a guillotine on the back of their heads. The men were grounded and squirmed in pain. The one with the taser had recovered and thought that because he was behind Victor that he could stick him with the lit rod. Victor quickly turned ninety degrees to the right as the taser passed him close by his back. Victor wrapped his left arm around the assailant's right which controlled the taser. The man tried to counter with a left hook but Victor blocked with a rising right arm and hooked it around that arm too. Victor then threw his head forward in a stunning headbutt before unhooking his arms from the man's arms and instead threw them around the man's waist. Victor, knees bent, lifted the two hundred plus pound man before leaning backwards. The man shouted before his head hit the concrete under his own weight. Victor was bent over backwards through the throw so he turned and let them man roll off him. That's three where's the fourth? Thought as he turned to look back towards the street and saw the first man that had come out from the stairs, pull his firearm from under his shirt. Victor pulled back his right arm and with an open palm, he thrust forward sending a tunnel of Qi that hit the man in the center of the chest, throwing him backwards a foot or two without breath but firing the weapon at the wall. Victor then threw his hand out at the man, suddenly a barrier of Qi surrounded him. The barrier that enclosed the assailant then began to shrink as Victor closed his hand. There was a clear expression anger on Victor's face. Blood began to trickled down his left leg as a small hole revealed a gun shot wound. He didn't know the men and soon no one would recognize them. Victor continued to close his fist as he remembered what his aster had said about darkness. The man was huddled and balled up like a load of laundry in a dryer when Victor stopped his crushing. The rage seemed to subside as the barrier began to fade away which then dropped the man to the ground, gasping for breath and slowly writhing from the broken or dislocated bones in his body. Victor growled as he heard the police to sound nearby. The gunshot had just been fired but with all the Pandemonium murders lately, the police were on an exceptionally high alert, plus it was Downtown.

Victor quickly limped to the criminal's car and closed the door. He threw on his seat belt and began to drive out of the alley way. Victor could see the police about two blocks away heading his way when he started to travel to the nearest intersection. He took a road that connected with the street headed to the Academy. Victor couldn't afford to stop at the Hospital and have to report everything to the police and Academy staff. His easy night off had been ruined and now all he could do was try and find the closest medic he knew. The area around the thigh where he had been shot began to glow faintly of an orange light as Victor erected a barrier to try and hold in his blood. When that had been done, Victor drove a little over the speed limit I order to try and get help quickly. Looking over the wound, Victor realized the bullet was still inside and it burned just like he had remembered. He pulled out his phone as he ran a red light and began to look for Alexandria's phone number. Once he had found it he started a text message. It read “Need your help. I'll be at the courtyard. Come quick.” Victor then threw the phone on the passenger seat as he drove on. The car was a four door sedan but was beat up after repeated use and stunk of marihuana. Victor found the street to the Academy and was quickly on his way after feeding a bit more gas to the throttle.

Swallowing slowly after chewing the last of her melon bread, the young red haired demon watched the flames appear at the top of True Cross Academy. A smile came across her face as she whipped her mouth with her right hand and then tossed the crumpled up plastic bag behind her. The plastic landed in the alleyway in which she had been wandering prior to the appearance of flames behind the demonic barrier. As the bag touched the ground it sank into a puddle of blood. Behind the young girl was a massacre; no one was spared that came in her path. Men where flipped upside down, crushed into brick walls, and even inside of trashcans which were dripping with the warm crimson liquid. As the sun began to rise and the alleyway was illuminated, the young demon girl’s eyes burned with a flame, just as her hair did. She didn’t’ look as if she was any older than grade school; her thigh high black stockings and brown shoes seemed to belong to that of the uniform she was wearing. The light brown bow that tied her uniform together as it hung perfectly in the center of her chest. In front of the bow was a black pendant with flames circling within it. The girl went by the name of Shana. Turning around, she looked at humans she had killed and took a step towards the light of the sun that had managed to illuminate the streets before her. ”You’ll think again, before you try and attack a defenseless little girl.” As Shana began to walk the alleyway caught a mighty blaze burning heavily and destroying everything they touched. As Shana walked away people began to run to the scene like flies to a fire. Suddenly an explosion came from the alleyway causing the flames to rage higher and lash outwards. The demon girl turned and looked back at her work and smiled with a little giggle as she took a powerful leap into the air while the humans were distracted. Shana landed softly on top of one of the shop roofs and looked out to the flames coming from what looked like the middle of the sky to her demonic eyes, but she knew that was where the Salamanders and Grams were. Meaning they had found the location that had the scent of the criminal she was looking for. ”Soon, sissy, I’ll capture you and bring you home. You can’t escape me for much longer, or hide behind that barrier.” she told herself as her black cloak appeared over her shoulders and fell to her ankles. Small sparks of fire circled her body as she stood there watching her handy work. ’It won’t be long now. True Cross Academy…to think you of all people would turn your back on Gehenna. Did you think the Exorcists of this place could protect you?’

Shana stood on the rooftop and waited, she wasn’t going to leave until her mission was complete. In a way, she was sending a message to the Exorcist while announcing the arrival of a high level fire apparition. Shana, had no reason to hide he presence either. The young girl allowed her aura flames to circle her body as she waited for a response. It wasn’t long until two men appeared behind her. One of them held a gun. Shana turned around slowly and looked at the two men and noticed their clothes. One of the men told the male to lower his gun as Shana was just a child. ”A child? Human, you must be extremely stupid.” she said before appearing behind the two, the men turned around and drew weapons. The man who tried to defend her had drew a strange piece of paper from his pockets but suddenly they were reduced to ash as Shana stood there looking at the male. Shots were fired which caused the general public below to panic. Although, due to her small appearance the two didn’t expect Shana to possess such a strong demonic aura; the young demon was protected by the flames as the bullets didn’t even manage to get pass the burning aura around her body. Shana looked at the male and took a step forward as they continued to retaliate. One of the males began to call for back up while the other continued to fire bullets at her. Shana sighed as she stood there watching as the bullets were consumed by the flames of her aura. ”Well, this isn’t fun anymore. Now, how about you boys answer a few questions for me?” she asked sweetly as she stretched her right arm out in front of her and summed a cluster of purple flames from the air. Soon the flames began to shape themselves. The males began to take action against the young demon once again but as soon as they did Shana clinched her hand into a fist and the flames vanished leaving only a sword in her hand. ”Shana, if you wouldn’t mind stop sending me to Gehenna in that sea of flame, you should carry me at all times.” the sword said to the young girl as she unsheathed it. ”Sure, as soon as you admit you were wrong.” she said as she leaped backwards as more members of the Order appeared. It appeared they were all dragoons and were holding grenades. ”Ah, you’ve got yourself into another fight. Those thugs from before weren’t enough for you?” ”It’s not like that, those guys were just a warm up, and now these guys are the actual flame.” she said as she pushed off the ground hard. The fire apparition moved swiftly along the roof top slashing at each of the exorcist before returning to her position and with a wave of her right hand, blood slashed along the ground from the metal of her blade. The exorcist screamed in pain as they started to catch a blaze and die after noticing their hands were removed. Shana left one unharmed and began to walk towards him slowly with an evil grin on her face. ”Hey mister, it looks like you’re the last one. I’d like for you to tell me, where is Akemi Yogatoshi, I know you people have been protecting her, and I’m done waiting for her to leave that academy. Here are your options. You can tell me where she is and I’ll retrieve her myself and I’ll let you live, or you can die in the inferno like your buddies around you. So what will it be mister?” Shana questioned cheerfully

Yet another "normal day" had begun on the mortal plane known as Assiah while Takeru remained ever watchful.It was strange to watch some of the humans, specifically his favorite cake shop owner. Takeru had seen his growth from that of a little boy into that of a young man, and then into a well-disciplined adult with a young son and daughter. It was honestly strange to him. When he was a half-demon the aging thing seemed like something he would not be avoiding, but the moment he took on the full demonic powers of both his twin and himself, aging seemed to be a thing of the past. The humans bound to time were slaves to it and once their time was up they died leaving only memories behind. How long had it been since he felt like a powerless human? How many years? How many days? How many hours? How many minutes? Too many to count, and far to many to think about regretting his decision. He had watched countless years go by and had seen trends go in style and out of style in one generation and then return in a third generation under a new name. Honestly speaking, it was something he would never understand. He was a being that existed outside of time itself and despite having spent three hundred and seventy-five years alive, he only looked like an eighteen year old human.

Needless to say, as he watched the humans that moved below on the streets, he could not help but have an overwhelming feeling of disgust for them. They acted as though their race were the superior one when in fact, they were inferior to most. They craved the ability to transcend time, but not for any reasons beneficial to their own survival or the advancement of their species. No mere mortal wanted to transcend time just for the fun of it. No. It was their greed. That desire to be better than someone else at anything, and the greed to do whatever it took to achieve that goal and surpass their rival. Placing his spear besides him on the roof top, he sat on the ledge itself before looking around the area. The breeze that moved through the area caused his hair to move around before falling back into place. Once the owner of the cake shop, Saito, and his children, Rei and Mako had returned. Taking hold of his spear, he stood up with a light stretch before jumping down from the rooftop in order to speak with them. "I am happy to see that you are all unharmed." spoke Takeru with a small head nod. Immediately the two children ran over to him before jumping at him. The young boy jumped onto his back before sticking his head through Takeru's hair so he could see. The girl however, had jumped straight into her arms in order to be carried into their family's bakery. Their father immediately went behind the counter in order to start preparing to open shop while Takeru began to play with the children.

Rei had taken a chair from one of the nearby tables and brought it besides the chair Takeru was sitting at. She ran her fingers through his hair a few time before grabbing a large portion of it. When she pulled backwards, Takeru released an annoyed grunt before the pulling stopped. She then began to braid through his hair while Mako had the gall to try and challenge him to an arm-wrestle. As he placed his elbow onto the table, he watched as the little boy sat on his knees and gripped the table tightly with his left hand. Holding his own left hand in the air, he leaned his right hand forwards before taking the small boy's hand in his own. "Did you know, that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again hoping for a different result?" questioned Takeru as he felt the boy's grip tighten. A "ready, set, and go!" was said by Rei and immediately he watched the boy struggle to move his stagnant arm. Immediately, Mako began to push hard against Takeru's arm, but his arm simply would not budge for the small child. "Haven't they taught you in school that the definition of insanity is trying something over and over again while hoping for a new result?" During his laughter, the children's father had managed to say that his strawberry cake was finished. That news, toppled with Rei, who had now tightly braided a large portion of his hair before trying to force the braids to come apart had cause Takeru to completely lose focus. In that momentary loss of focus, Mako managed to slam his hand down onto the table just as his father put the cake down as well. In their game playing, the aura of a Fire Demon had caused Takeru to stop just as it was his to pick their next game. Reaching behind his back, he lifted Rei up before putting her down besides him. Taking the container of strawberry cake and the plastic fork in one hand, he picked up his spear in the other hand. "Go home. Right now. Do not come back here until tomorrow morning." Given that the baker trusted Takeru with his life, he quickly gathered their belongings and prepared to leave. Both Rei and Mako had run up to and hugged Takeru before quickly following Takeru out of the store. Once the bakery had been closed and locked up, the trio went swiftly down the block in the direction of their home. With nothing more to worry about he jumped up and onto the roof only to watch a red-headed girl dispatch of a group of exorcists before leaving one unharmed. Moving to the rooftop where she and the terrified exorcist remained, he sat down over the ledge before opening up the Strawberry cake given to him. Taking the plastic fork in his hand, he began to eat slowly before pointing the fork at the demon before him. "You know, I find that people respond a lot better when incineration isn't being held over their head."

A voice came from the sword once again, but this time in warning rather than lecture. ”Shana, behind you” Shana didn’t look away from her target, once she felt another demonic presence. She narrowed her eyes and began to speak. ”Who asked you anyways, fish boy. This is official Gehenna Army of Iblis business. It has nothing to do with the mongrel of a son born to a human, O’great Lord of the seas.” she snapped as the man raised the gun to her. The young fire demon glared at the weapon and watched it melt from the sheer heat her body was emitting. Most of the building was catching a blaze as she expanded her aura. ”Fine, you don’t want to talk, then I guess I’ll deal with you like the others” she said as she raised her sword to slash, but soon the male spat out information to her about the Exorcist Qualification Examination and how it took place only at certain times of the year, and how the young demon wouldn’t be able to reach Akemi even if she wanted to. But without a second though the demon slashed downwards with a quick flick of the wrist cutting the man in two before he could even utter another word; flames erupted from the severed body before he turned to dust like the others. ”Hanging Neck Island? I see, the safe haven for demons, even those whom are branded traitors of Gehenna, all under the protection of the Vatican. Tsk, that place should be burned to the ground.” she muttered to herself before sheathing her blade and hanging it across her back. The sword was much longer than she was. If it wasn’t for her shoes and the slant she kept the sword on for an easier draw, the sheath would drag behind the young girl. Spinning around to look at the demon before her she noticed the dark skin and the smell of salt water. The demonic waters of Gehenna was a strong scent that even a bath couldn’t cure the first time around. Looking up at the male she didn’t stop her eye contact as she noticed his cake. Her aura still swirling around drying out the moister in the air; ”Why are you here anyways Takeru, shouldn’t sharks stay in the water?” she asked curiously as she began to walk towards the male slowly.

Each step she took, brought forth a small flame but soon her footsteps stopped as she turned her head in the direction of the academy. The howl of the dying demons she had brought from Gehenna touched her ears. Baring her fangs slightly a low growl came from the back of her throat. ”Damn exorcist, how dare you kill the Garm, I won’t forgive any of you for that.” she muttered under her breath as she turned back to look at the male and then looked towards the location in which the Academy should be standing. ”That stupid barrier is the problem. It won’t take too much longer, before the barrier is destroyed and the Academy will be visible toward all us upper level demons; and once that happens, I’m going to burn that place to the ground.”

Her words were rather rude, and in fact, if he had a frail ego, then he more than likely would have been devastated by such remarks. Those words could kill a man before she managed to roast them alive with her flames. Needless to say, she seemed rather upset at the moment. "Mongrel is such an offensive word and it makes you less cute, Shana. Your cuteness is your strongest weapon, so you can not just decide to throw it away." A gun was soon raised to the hot-tempered redhead, and in his doing so, Takeru simply shook his head. Sometimes mortals were really stupid. If you knew that a demon held your life in her hands, why then would you think that a gun would stop her when the other exorcists could not? Needless to say, the gun melted, and as it did, he simply continued to eat his cake. It was simply amazing and tasted like, well, strawberry. However, he had to stop eating in order to look at the fire that had started on the rooftop near his leg. For a while he simply stared at the flame that threatened to get closer to his leg. Once it got close enough to become annoying, he expanded his own demonic aura, just enough so that it would put out the flames near him. No need for him to get hot when he was enjoying such a wonderful cake. When information on the Exorcist Qualification Exam was given aloud along with its testing times, he arched his brow slightly before sticking another piece of cake into his mouth. Once again, another reason why he found humans to be stupid creatures. There was no way in hell that he was going to be permitted to eave, so why not keep some shred of his pride and remain silent. Why instead, would he chose to give out the location of his possible friends and a large portion of the world's exorcist? Although, it did not matter to him, since apparently the island could not be found unless one knew how to get to it. That, and he had no intention of moving as of yet.

Moments later, Shana had cleaved the poor exorcist into two pieces, and just before his separated body could hit the floor, it burst into flames before only ash was left behind. "If you wish for it to be burned to the ground, then why not lead a charge with Iblis' Army and raise the island to the ground? Surely you and your forces are easily able to do that. In fact, I am sure that you could do that, and then come back to attack various locations in Assiah just for the fun of it." Shrugging his shoulder, he moved forwards slightly before looking down to the street beneath him. After spotting the garbage can, he let it fall just as a woman began to walk by. The sudden dropping of trash caused the woman to freak out momentarily before looking around to see if anyone had seen her. When she was sure no one saw, she hurried off down the block, allowed for Takeru to push himself back and further onto the roof itself. Stretching his arms out, he watched while Shana questioned why he was here. "I am here because there is nothing going on in Gehenna. That, and I needed some Strawberry Cake. Those within my father's kingdom are learning, but they still have yet to get the taste down packed. But, I can ask the same of you; why are you here?" Having asked that, it seemed as though the answer to his question was answered through her aggravation of the Exorcists. Tilting his head in the direction in which she had looked, the howl of demons soon echoed through his ears. It seemed as though an attack had begun on the school itself, and started by none other than Shana herself.

Her plan in short, was the utter annihilation of the school and he guessed, anyone on the school grounds as well. She seemed quite intent on doing so as well. "You understand that when the barrier falls, you fight whoever is within its grounds along with the students as well, correct? Surely you do not intend to go in there alone do you?" Going alone into a den of exorcists was suicide, especially when there was no telling just how long the barrier would be down for. Unless of course, she had come up with a time frame to get in and out. In which case, perhaps she could go in there alone without any need for assistance. Fortunately for her, he was always willing to help exterminate humans. Exorcists made exterminations even better. "Oh well, it can't be helped. I will be joining you as well." Taking his spear in his hand, he stood up tall before stretching once more. "Now then. How long do you believe it will be till the barrier falls, and do I have to worry about it suddenly springing back up?' questioned Takeru as he pointed his spear in the direction of the hidden Academy.

The demon girl took a step back in shock and embarrassment to the male calling her cute. ”S…shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up! I don’t need you telling me things like that!” she said as she quickly unsheathed Enriha and pointed the long blade towards Takeru. The girl’s eyes shimmered in the light as she tried to avoid showing her embarrassment even further. ”I’m not cute, I’m a Flame Haze, nothing more and nothing less. You will refer to me as Flame Haze and not by name. You have no right.” she said as she took a step forward with the blade still extended out as if it was attached to her body. The Flame Haze of Iblis’ Army, was something that all of Gehenna and specific members in Assiah knew her as. Shana rarely left Gehenna unless she was on official business, and this was one of those times. ”If you must know, I’m here to reclaim the daughter of my Lord; we have confirmation that the Princess has been working with Exorcist, and when my Lord tried to track her, he was having trouble due to the girl rejecting her nature and refusing to uses the flames that birthed her. She’s a disgrace and I’ve come to bring sissy home, and teach her a lesson in the process.” The girl said as she lowered the sword and soon a voice came from the blade. ”Shana, look up it seems the barrier has been weakened.” The girl looked up at the direction of the demons as the presences were lowering in numbers rapidly they had done their job. They weakened the barrier just enough for her to know the location of the school and exactly where to strike. ”I see it Alastor, but at what cost did we obtain the location of the academy; I guess we should be on our way then.” she replied back to the weapon before walking passed the water demon and then stopped.

”I don’t need your assistance. I’m going to rip that barrier down completely and set the whole school on fire. There won’t be a need for me to go to the island, because on her arrival back, she’ll find her school in ash, and will have no other choice, but to run or track me down. The barrier, is created by utilizing over thousands of those paper talismans around the campus, by destroying those with the Exorcist fighting and by sending low level demons that can cause a significant amount of damage, the Exorcist basically shattered the barrier for me.” the girl replied as she started to walk towards the edge of the building and then stopped as her cloak danced behind her underneath her crimson hair. Gently turning her head to the right to look at the Kin of Iblis she blinked a few times before turned back to face the direction of the school. ”I don’t know your aim here, but this doesn’t change the status in the war between Iblis and Egyn. We just have a common enemy, and my assignment isn’t to slay Egyn kind. So I’m allowing you to live a little longer. So keep up with me or I’ll leave you behind.” she said before turning around completely as she sheathed the blade and smiled. ”Please big brother Taku!” she said in her sweet innocent childish voice before smiling and then the almost glued stern look appeared on her face as she turned her back to the male and then pushed off of the build and entered the sky. Two large burning wings appeared on her back as she started to fly. The wings flapped, causing the embers around her to swirl and fall towards the ground.

Although due to their small size they didn’t reach the ground or cause any kind of damage. They ran out of Qi before even reaching the rooftops of the other buildings. Shana began to move forward towards the location of the Academy. She flapped her wings harder and harder as she moved faster flying towards the actual center of the city. The young girl pushed her body towards the sun and took in its power as she breathed in before her crimson eyes burned with a fire of their own. ”True Cross Academy, will fall!” she thought as she dove forward, pushing through the clouds and burning the air around her body, allowing the demon to look like a bullet or even a meteorite falling from the sky as she moved with such speed and furry; it was unlike her other half, which was where her powers came from; the grace and beauty of a phoenix. Shana continued to move, hoping to lose the water demon in the process of traveling in the direction of the weaken barrier, and hopefully weakened security of an Academy. She knew the normal humans couldn’t protect themselves, but those few whom weren’t invited to attend the Exorcist Qualification Exams would be left behind. The demon knew she could play this to her advantage.

Her embarrassment was also cute. Strange that someone so cute would deny being cute whenever someone chose to say it. While he doubted anyone within Iblis' Kingdom would actually have the nerve or the gall to call her cute, he was different. Not only was he within another kingdom, but to him, while Shana was indeed a threatening individual, he saw her as no more than a possible little sister. "Alright, alright. I will not tell you the truth anymore. Unless of course, I feel that you need to know how cute you are." Following his words, she had both unsheathed and pointed her blade at his chest. Truthfully speaking, had she been standing any closer to him, the blade would be poking at his chest. That, was something that he did not want she had a tendency to cut apart whatever was placed in front of her. "Aw, how wonderful. You, being the cute and loving elders sister you are, have come to reclaim a lost child of Iblis. I must say Shana, I am quite impressed with your love for a traitor." Nodding triumphantly, he let out a calm breath as the blade was pulled away from just chest, just before Alastor spoke of the barrier's weakening. Pointing his hand just above his eyes, he squinted in order to get a good view of the barrier itself. "It would seem that the demons you set loose are doing quite a good job. You must be so proud." Clapping his hands together, he watched as she moved past him and once she had turned around, the clapping stopped. More words about not needing him follow, but the thing that shocked him was her calling him her big brother. Not to mention, she had put on such a cute face. Despite her leaving, the simple fact that she had called him her big brother had practically stunned him. It was not till she got father away that he actually realized she was leaving. Taking hold of his spear, he quickly jumped to the roof across from the building they were on before leaping from rooftop to rooftop. "Oh, how fun. I get to watch the school get burned down by a cute little girl. What fun, fun fun." Cheering as he chased after Shana he could already hear what soon be the screams of the Exorcists when they came into contact with the Flame Haze.

      The half breed left the campus, taking the usual route to the nearest mini mart. However, his destination was not something as simple as a mini mart. No, he wanted ramen; Real ramen, made from scratch. Not the stuff that you find in styrofoam cups either. Keeping his hands in his pockets, and his hood on just enough to defend his face from the light showers, the young man walked further and further downtown. A left here, a right there, and there it is; A ramen stand! Smiling as he approached the antique stand, he smiled. As he lifted one of the red flags that impeded his entry, the young man took a seat on one of the chairs. Behind the long counter were two men; An elderly looking male, and his son. Red lanterns and charms decorated the place. In front of his seating position was a menu, unused chopsticks, and other condiments like soy sauce. The young man looked up at the two men who were cleaning their kitchen. "Hey old man! How's it goin'?" The half breed smiled, his hood still on his face.

      The elderly man turned around and adjusted his glasses, smiling as he realized who his customer was. "Ah, Silver-san! Fancy seeing you here at this hour. Isn't it... A little early right now? How old are you again?" "I'm just here on lunch break, old man." The half breed smiled nervously as the old man adjusted his glasses then went to work. The half breed let out an inaudible sigh of obvious relief, as the old man spoke to him again. "I'm assuming you want the usual, right kid?" "Of course, of course." The usual being an extra large bowl of shio with extra beef, green onion, seaweed, and chicken. Fishcakes are added in there as well, making it memorable to the old man for some reason. The aroma of the ramen swelled in the stand, as the boy sat there longer and longer. The old man's son served him tea as he waited for his food.

      "Here. Enjoy it while its hot." The old man chuckled, as he and his son cleaned up the minor mess he had just created, allowing Titus to eat in peace. Food calmed the young man down most of the time, and let him take his mind off of the serious things in life. If it was any good that is. This was one of those things he deemed "Good", and it definitely helped soothe the half breed's foul mood, and more importantly, his hunger. With each slurp of the noodles, a happy expression followed as he chewed. The young man enjoyed the rest of his meal in relative peace, listening to the usual ranting of the old man.

      The thin ramen noodles were devoured at an incredibly fast rate, which did not surprise the old man. After seeing the child's eating habits time and time again, he began to get used to the strange pace. Though, he could not help but question the child every once in a while. "Silver-san, have you ever considered enjoying the food for once?" He said in a joking tone. The half breed's eyes shot up toward the ramen stall owner as he slurped the noodles he had already brought to his mouth. He smirked as he chewed, and tried to speak. "I do eshoy m' fooje, ol' man!" Although his statement was pretty unintelligible, the old man pretty much understood what he meant. After a little chuckle, the old man shook his head. "Don't talk with your mouth full Silver-san." Titus shrugged the order off as he swallowed the rest of the noodles, and proceeded to the broth. The warmth of the soup trickled from his throat all the way down to his stomach as he drank the savory mixture. After he finished, the young half breed sighed heavily in satisfaction, and reached for his wallet. He left the correct amount of money for the meal in front of the man, and stretched a little before he actually got up.

      "Thanks for the meal old man! It was great as always." Smirking, the young man lifted one of the flags. No one he recognized was around, so chances were, that they didn't recognize him either. Adjusting his the hood of his windbreaker, the half breed turned his head back toward the two who were cleaning the dishes that he had just used. "Hey, stay healthy old man!" The half breed pointed to the other male that was helping out, and nodded his head. "You too Jun-san!" With that he left, receiving a wave from the both of them. Putting his hands in his pockets once more he decided he would head back to his dorm room, or maybe even restock the snacks he always bought for cheap at the nearest convenience store.

      As the light rain gently fell onto his head and shoulders, the young man got lost in deep, pointless thought. His pace of walking had stayed the same, and he was travelling in the general direction of the Academy. But if one took a closer look at the hooded boy, they could tell he was spacing out. 'What should I do... Hmm.... I really want snacks for later... I wonder if I got promoted... Did they even say anything about that stuff earlier?...' Thoughts flooded the boy's mind, and his expression changed with each new thought. Food, exorcist exam, food, the Academy... The pattern seemed to always include food in some way, but that was where Titus' priorities lied for the time being. Without food he was nothing; His excuse to eat as much as he wanted.
