Just Around the Riverbend

Dear Journal,

I met again with Vyren, this time while on Serenia's shore, for he seemed to also be in the area. He requested help looking for some particular herbs for a friend of his, and I saw no reason not to take him up on the opportunity as I do enjoy his company. Of course, as fate often seems to see to, things became more complicated than we originally planned. Some ways into our trek in the forests surrounding Ashen City - and after we had taken time out to enjoy the weather and go swimming in the river - our time was interrupted by an attack of peisio dragons.

Fortunately, the encounter did not go so poorly as it could have. We actually, fairly miraculously, made it through with little injury, and in the aftermath...

Well, I could say at the day's beginning that I had never before kissed or been kissed by a man - or anyone, for that matter. Now, at this day's end, I no longer have that statement in my repertoire. Vyren's kiss surprised me, certainly, but I find...I liked it. I hope to see him again, sometime, and perhaps learn more of what precisely he intended to begin between us with it.

A Tumble With Grass Dragons

Dear Journal,

At Ysette's encouragement, I took a young dovaa girl on an expedition outside of Ashen City to test her strength on a small batch of ysali dragons. Being that she had not yet chosen her clan and brought with her only a small blade which she had not yet had the opportunity to put to use, it was an interesting learning experience for both of us.

Daddy Dearest

Dear Journal,

Though it was not my intention when I headed over, I ended up having a conversation with Casseth's father that I never planned on. Apparently, the nature of my interests in him - as more than a friend, however I might like to mask it or do away with the feelings altogether - is more obvious than I gave myself credit for. The painful result was a speech, the likes of which I already understood, though it made it no easier to hear coming from another.

I have promised Casseth's father that I will not touch his son. I will not pursue him romantically - though I never dreamed to have the chance to begin with - for these are not things within Casseth's realm of interest and I know it.

An Untimely Reveal

Dear Journal,

In the aftermath of a ridiculously failed attempt to catch a baowi cub for Casseth to train, he confided in me that he has signed up to fight in Veinrith stadium. I had hoped he would change his mind before the time actually came to do so.

You Again

Dear Journal,

I came to watch Casseth's opening fight in the pit. I cannot say I didn't expect as much, but anticipation of trying events does not make them any easier to grapple with when they occur. He was wounded severely. Only by some stroke of 'luck' did Araceli and I gain access to the lower levels through some strange oblivionite in order to see Casseth. It seems Araceli knew the man on some previous occasions, though the circumstances of that were lost on me. My focus was Casseth and getting him properly tended to after the mess he was left in.

Before You Go

Dear Journal,

Given that we are all intending to head separate ways soon - Araceli and I back to the Celestial Plane to go before Lord Ysaride and progress, and Detraeus to Soudul for, I assume, whatever oblivionites do in likeness to that - Casseth wanted some arrangement for all of us to spend time together before he was left alone on Eowyn. Dancing and festivities seemed a solid fit. The resulting events were...interesting.

I confessed to Casseth my interest in men. It went better than I feared.
