Leo buried his face in his brother's chest, he didn't understand why people had to be so mean to him. He never did anything to anyone. Leo couldn't help but cry after a few seconds, he kept rubbing his eyes which made them sting worse as though the tears didn't sting enough. "I don't want to cry anymore, lets just go." he said softly, clutching his brother's arm so he could stand back up again. "Lets go get a snowcone or something." Leo shakily wrapped the bandage around his head once more and rubbed his nose rather hard. It was almost enough to make him never want to leave his own home again, but he knew he couldn't do that. He wanted the freedom to enter the world without being bullied but apparently it was too much to ask.

Asher led Leo to the nearest snowcone stand, observing the different flavors listed on the menu. "What kind of snowcone do you want?" he asked. "They've got strawberry, blueberry, mango, cherry, and a lot of other flavors." There was a rather long line of people at the stand, though it made sense since the weather was a bit hot today. "Might wanna choose quickly, or the line will reach another city," he joked in hopes of cheering his brother up.

Leo couldn't help but smile a little. "How about a mix of blueberry and strawberry?" he asked curiously, holding onto his frog tightly. "Leo...do my eyes really look that bad?" he asked as he placed a hand against one of his eyes. Maybe surgery to help his eyes look better wouldn't be so bad, he wouldn't mind that at least.

Asher hesitated, unsure of how to answer Leo. He didn't want to hurt his feelings, but he didn't want to lie to him either. Instead of answering right away, he just got in line, staying silent until he reached the counter, requested the snowcone and paid for it. It was after he got the snowcone and handed it to Leo that he decided to speak. "Your eyes... look disturbing, to put it lightly," he told him reluctantly. "Even I get bothered, but don't feel bad. You didn't ask for them."

Leo received the snowcone in vein, even his own brother didn't like how his eyes looked. He slowly ate his snowcone as they continued to walk around but he didn't feel much like being out in public anymore but it was too early in the day to go grocery shopping for dinner. "Maybe I should get surgery....just to make my eyes not look so bad." he said softly, feeling rather disappointed that his own brother would side with that bully from earlier. Then again it wasn't like Ash was telling him that he was hideous either, that much he was grateful for.

The gloom was starting to get to Asher, and hearing Leo's words caused him to stop them in their tracks. "Leo, I didn't mean to hurt you. I just didn't want to lie." Guilt was already growing in him and he was sure he ruined their day together. "Remember what I told you last night? What did I tell you when you tried to hide your eyes?" Inwardly, Asher wondered how many times he was going to talk to his brother like this. He was always comforting him, always trying to make him feel better, always trying to improve his sense of self-worth. He feared that all his words would lose effect one day, especially if all he seemed to be doing right now was comfort Leo.

He loved his brother dearly and there were times when Leo truly wanted to hear that his brother would love him no matter what his eyes looked like. But those words were spoken often and Leo was starting to get sick of hearing them, he just didn't want to tell his brother for fear of starting a fight. "I know what you said!!" he snapped before giving a soft sigh and hanging his head once more. "I know you'll stay with me no matter what my eyes look like....sometimes I just wish you would lie to me and say something nice about my eyes for once." he hadn't meant to say it, after all lying wasn't really a good thing but sometimes people just needed to hear little white lies like that to make themselves feel better. "I'm sorry, I don't want to fight or ruin our day together. Why don't we stop talking about this at least until dinnertime." he said as he looked up at his brother. The day had been going so well except for the bully but that was easily overlooked; Leo could have overreacted in a very big way to his brother's comment about his eyes but he didn't want to start a fight between the two of them. "Can we go find those elephant ears now?"

Somehow, he had been expecting Leo to get annoyed, but Asher still felt that little sting. . "Yeah, let's go." Once again, he led Leo to yet another stand. It seemed all they went to here were stands and one game. He really didn't ask for a day off for this. "Leo, you want to go on a ride or something soon? It seems all we're doing so far is walk from one place to another."

Leo nodded, trying to enjoy himself like he was when they first got there but his brother was right, all they were doing was getting exercise in going from one booth to the next. "What kind of rides do they have? Remember, no roller coasters." he reminded the man, he had always been afraid of roller coasters, something about going upside down at nearly a hundred miles an hour just didn't spell fun for him.

"Well, darn. I like roller coasters. How can I possibly enjoy a fair without roller coasters?" Asher said in an obviously faked disappointment. "Of course we're not going on any roller coasters. I know you never liked them." It also didn't help that Leo wouldn't be able to see where they were going. "There's a Ferris wheel, a UFO ride, one of those spinning rides that flip you upside down, but the Ferris wheel is probably the only one we can get to. Well, unless you want to go on those creepy caterpillar trains."

Leo wasn't too fond of almost any of those rides, the UFO ride, if he was remembering the right one, would just make him really dizzy at the end, the upside down one was out of the question, the ferris wheel would be his choice if he could see the view when they got to the top. "What about the Sea Serpent? You know the ride that looks like a giant boat and swings back and forth? Do they have anything kind of like that?" he asked curiously before he remembered another popular fair ride. "Or what about bumper cars?? I've never been on that ride before!"

"I don't see a giant boat ride or anything," Asher said, and then he located the bumper cars area. "They do have—wait, why bumper cars?" Unless Leo was willing to just be a passenger, he wasn't sure if his brother would enjoy going on bumper cars. Then again, the point of bumper cars was to bump into people. Leo should probably have no problem with that, and Asher could guide him if need be.

Leo gave a small laugh at his brothers sudden question. "I don't know, it might be fun. You don't really need to see in order to play bumper cars." he said with a smile. "Come on, I bet I can bump into you more than you can bump into me!" he dared his brother.

Asher smirked now. A challenge, eh? "Bold words coming from you. Bring it on!" With that, he quickly took Leo to the bumper cars arena. Well, he had to buy some tickets first. Soon, they were let into the arena and Asher led Leo to one of the cars. "Give it your best shot."

Leo smiled and slowly got into the bumper car. "You know what they say, all is fair in love and war!" he said with a little laugh. He quickly figured out where the steering wheel was and planned his attack on his brother while he placed his newly won toys at his sides. Since Leo couldn't see and the bumper cars were kind of loud, finding his brother's bumper car would prove to be a little bit of a challenge.
