"Indeed, who are the Wisers?More importantly, should we about what they might do to use while we are here?" As Mister Eri, the solid more human looking form of Eri, welcomed them to the Shallow World Li-Fan lifted his hand. In his palm was a small ball of electricity, something that offered just enough light to see a few feet in any direction around him. As they walked forward he looked about them, the things he seeing causing goosebumps to rise up. There were no words to be used to describe the place and constantly he had the feeling that they were in danger. It could of simply been his imagination of course, but he somehow doubted that. It was funny how the whole time they walked no one made a sound, preferring to move in silence. Maybe they were to overwhelmed by what they saw, though in Hatsumi and Eir's case it was probably because they knew better than to say anything.

"Thank you, Mister Eri." Li-Fan said to the male in front of him. It was weird to see Eri as humanish instead of a doll, but in the end it was still Eri. "Remain safe." With that he walked to the portals, now faced with a choice. He could follow Quinn to the nightclub or Hatsumi to the apartment. The nightclub would be filled with more people, an enemy could easily hide with in the crowd of civilians. At the same time who knew how many people lurked with in the apartment. He looked from one to the other, not wishing to leave any of his teammates to face danger alone. Finally, with a sigh, he stepped through one of the portals.

After coming out the other side the first thing he was aware of was the noise from his communicator. It was static at first till a clear signal could be establish but then he was bombarded by everyone at once. It seemed Primrose, Rei Roxanne, and the Hive had already sorted out a place for the warehouse, Alice was at the apartments, and clearly Quinn was with him. "Hatsumi is also at the apartment,Alice, you should meet up with her before doing anything else." He was actually relieved that someone else had covered the apartments, not liking the idea of Hatsumi being alone.

Music blasted from the club, the beat pounding through Li-Fan even from across the street. A long line stretched from the front door, down the street, and around the corner as party-goers waited to gain entrance inside. Some of them wore the expressions of those who had been waiting for a while and were starting to lose their patience. It wouldn't of been to hard to find the back of the line and wait like everyone else, but by that time they would no doubt be late to see anything of great importance. His gaze shifted from the line to a small side alley that no doubt lead to the back. A plan quickly formed in his mind and he turned to the shift beside him.

"We don't have time to wait in that line, and trying to cut will only cause us more problems than its worth." He explained as he turned to the girl beside him. "There should be a side or back door. I can unlock it but first we need to know if there is anyone guarding it. Do you think you can sneak down that alley and do some scouting real quick?" He pointed his eyes towards the alley instead of actually pointing at it. Zion was a city where they didn't stick out like sore thumbs but some old habits were pretty hard to get rid of; pointing at alleys you weren't suppose to go down being one of them.

With every step moving forward, Hatsumi was very cautious of her surrounding. The area seemed to have been abandoned for a while. She felt lonely without the squeaky voice telling her what to do. Her red eyes absorbed the scenery before her. She pulled the cloak tighter on her head, as if giving her comfort and company.

Hatsumi wasn't the one to easily get frightened from eerie looking places or horror in general. But that was because she had the little doll with her. She clenched her fists and wondered if she would really encounter any villains at such a location. He could be possible since there seemed to be no life present; a perfect hideout perhaps.

She continued to carefully scout the are and pulled her communicator out, "Hello. Hatsumi speaking. I am confirming my location. I do not see any-" That is when she bumped into something and she quickly glanced back to see who it was.
"Ah..Alice..I thought you might have been the villains." She said, as she let out a sigh of relief. "Have you found any of the evidence Alice?" She asked, as she tucked her communicator in. She felt relieved to see one of her fellow hero companion.

The Red Blur
Roxane Chase

Roxy laughed as she zipped around the lot, metal baseball bat now in hand. "wow you guys are pathetic! You call that shooting! BONK!" she shouted as she smashed one of the clown faced goons upside the head. She caught sight of Hive and Kage joining the fray "oh no you don't! I aint lettin' one of ya take out more than me" she said as she bashed another one with the butt of her bat, making a competition out of who could take out the most thugs. However her little spree was cut short as she found herself jumped out of the way of a massive ball of fire. "woah!" she shouted, ducking and weaving between fire balls. The man in the Tiki mask let out a primal roar as he launched balls of flame from his hands at Roxy, trying, with little luck, to hit her.

"forget the girl, I'll handle her" the hooded man said, waving his hand raising up a magical barrier around them just as a hail of shadow balls rained down on them. "you take care of their covering fire" he ordered. The tiki man let out another roar, the mouth of his mask glowing and widening as if it where his own jaw.. Suddenly he stepped forward towards Rei's position and with another primal roar began spewing molten lava from his gaping maw, showering the building where Rei was situated, quickly melting away the fire escape and starting to burn through the structure itself.

"men, focus your fire on the bug!" the hooded man shouted, raising his hand causing the a slab of earth underneath Hive to raise up, hopefully knocking him off balance and/or flipping him into a vulnerable position. With the grunts now focusing their attention on Hive the hooded man shifted his attention over to Roxy, who by now was just a crimson streak flying around the lot of the warehouse. "ah a speedster, I know how to deal with you" he said, raising his hand and firing a bolt of magic to get her attention. Just as Roxy turned and rushed at him, bat at the ready, the man rose both hands, erecting a dome shaped barrier around himself, and another one in a larger radius around the both of them. Roxy smashed into the barrier, bouncing right off of it "damn, cheap b*****d. No matter I'll ju-" she said, about to race back off again, only to find herself trapped inside the second barrier "...s**t..." she muttered, realizing that she couldn't get out of the barrier, and with the inner barrier around the hooded man she couldn't even attack him. The hooded man smirked and rose his hand again, and suddenly the outer barrier began to shrink inwards, threatening to crush her if it squeezed shut against the other barrier. "oh crap....guys! GUYS!? a little help here!" Roxy shouted, frantically banging against the barrier.

Night Club

At the night club things where going by fairly business as usual. People where all waiting in line for their chance to get in, all matter and shape of person was there, casually dressed humans, a group of red skinned demon women in cocktail dresses, even a few guys who looked like they just walked off the set of the matrix, all black trenchcoats and what not. Whatever was going on tonight it seemed pretty major though, as everyone seemed anxious to get inside, all sorts of excited murmuring going on.

The sides and back of the club where about as vacant as you'd expect, nothing special as far as security went, just locked doors and cheap cameras. There was one guy hanging out around the back door, but he seemed to be just a regular patron taking a smoke. Though the one thing that stood out about him was that he was wearing a rather fancy looking masquerade mask, one that in no way matched his very informal outfit, suggesting he hadn't arrived with it.

Abandoned Apartment Complex

The large, dilapidated apartment building stood about 4 stories tall, with small apartments lining each floor from the way the windows where lined up. It looked old, condemned, it was clear no one had used it in a long time, atleast not legally. It was exactly the type of building you'd imagine a group of criminals would use for shady dealing, as no one in their right man would go near that place, looking so close to collapsing as it was. As Alice made her way through the building, she'd find the place suitably empty, no guards patrolling around, or any sort of obvious traps laying about. If anyone was here, they had come in small numbers and didn't really plan to stay. The only thing that could be heard in the building was the scuttering of mice and the murmuring of two people talking upstairs on the 4th floor. As one grew closer to the top you could start to overhear bits of the conversation. "yes we've looked over the entire city. If this latest shipment doesn't have it, then it's definitely in the vault....no it shouldn't be a problem....I trust the distraction is ready then....oh lovely....yes ofcourse sir....I live to serve..."

gaia_angelleft "Quinn" Heidi Arabella - Shapeshifter gaia_angelright

Quinn stared at her small communicator with a curious expression. She had heard a voice, but it wasnt from the communicator. She looked up and her eyebrows rose with surprise. Someone had gone through the portal she went through and that was Li-Fan, though now she expected to call him Fan-Lei because they were technically on Young Guardian duty.

Quinn listened to his suggestion of sneaking in the club through a back door. She perked up at the thought and nodded briskly. "Oh that would be so much fun!" she said and clapped her hands. "Mr. Lei, I will go and do just that," she said as she hung her communicator around her neck. It was the best place to leave it in case anything happened.

Quinn ran her fingers through her hair, attempting to make it look a bit more club like. She then took some handy dandy lipstick she had in her pocket and put some on. A shiny pink glistened on her lips a few moments later. She made a couple of kissing noises and waved at Fan Lei, as she walked over to the alley. It was mighty dark, and Quinn was glad she had her eagle eyes on so she could see perfectly well.

Quinn walked silently, adding a sway to her hips so that if anybody saw, they would think she was going in a dark alley for some nookie instead of sneaking her way into the club.

A smile grew on her lips as she rounded a corner to find a back door with one partygoer who was taking a smoke. He looked pretty normal to Quinn, but one could never know if that was what the enemy looked like. "Hey there," she called to him and then mentally smacked herself. She was supposed to be scouting, not getting attention. Oh well, she had to play along now.

Quinn puckered her lips and said gaily, "I was just wondering if y'all could help me out here, see I think I twisted my ankle and I just can't take this darn shoe off to look. Do you mind helping?" She walked with a slight limp on her left foot as she approached him. "That's a a cool mask by the way, where did you get that?" She said, her country accent thick. She glanced back at Fan-Lei, hoping he got the message that there indeed was somebody there.

The Hive's plan worked pretty well for a while. The weird masked villains seemed to be taken by surprise. Roxy was speeding around and about, kicking their sorry villain behinds here and there. The Hive with his extraordinary strength took out many at once. And he was supporting their backs from a distance.

That is, until a hooded man started giving out commands and the masked men followed his orders swiftly. "Sh**.." He cursed when a bolt of fire balls headed his way. He immediately pressed on his communicator, "Blur, Hive, Watch out!" And without further delay, disappeared into the shadows. He wanted to say more and warn them that he wouldn't be able to watch their backs anymore, but the flames came at him fast and he had no time to explain.
He reapparead behind the shadow of a crate. "Crud.." His eyes quickly glanced from The Hive and The Blur, both needed help. The one who mostly needed it at the moment was the Blur who was being crushed. He quickly ran towards her direction, and took out one of his pistols. This pistol contained the chemical that whould halt the opponent's movement for 60 seconds. As he ran by the Hive, he aimed at a couple of the masked men and quickly let out a bullet. He couldn't get all of them for Roxy was in dire trouble. The magic man seemed to notice his arrival and he quickly created a shadow to vanish into. He emerged from the hooded man's shadow and constricted his movements by holding on to his shadow. "Let her go..Or You will be sent to the Shadow realms." He warned the hooded man. Rei had several options. He could of just helped the Blur escape by simply creating a shadow that would allow him to connect hers to his. Once he grabbed her, she would be able to go into the shadows, as long as he held on to her. But Rei thought maybe; just maybe he would be able to get some more information out of the hooded man.

He tried threatening the hooded man as he manipulated his shadow. "Well...?"
Rei thought if worst case scenario came, and the Hive couldn't hold them back any longer, he might need to overtake the room with his shadow manipulating ability' but the down side would be him losing energy fast. He might not be able to escape with them either.

He held that option just in case but hoped this threatening would work for the best. However, was this the right decision? Did he take the right course of action? Should he have first assured Roxy's safety over questioning the hooded man? Rei was not sure himself for teamwork like this was something he was not entirely adapted to.

Just then, he remembered Primrose. If only his hands weren't tied, he could of called for her help. He should have done so before but now its too late. Unless a miracle occurs and she somehow shows up on her own.

T'kkhe'kk
❝Th e blood of my ancestors.❞
==== ☠==== ====
The Hive
☠==== ==== ☠====

It was like an orchestra in which they were the performers, each movement was definite and final. The goons were falling like snow in an avalanche and the small group was the disruption. The plan was going as well as could be expected from the under trained group and T’kkhe’kk relished ever impact he felt on his fists. The din of metal against his exoskeleton and his body against a squishy human-like hide was delightful music in his ears until a sudden change happened. He noticed the scores of henchmen turn their attention towards himself in a singular moment, as if on command, and that made T’kkhe’kk turn his head to view the battlefield through sharpened eyes. A hooded figure which gave off a massive signature in his mind’s eye was pointing and yelling, the masked figure with an equally as massive signature was spewing forth melted rock by the gallon towards Rei. The Hive’s mandibles suddenly opened wide with a series of clicks before settling in place at an impossibly wide angle, where they rested quietly. The situation had turned dire in the blink of a human eye, T’kkhe’kk’s feelers writhed in the air above his head as he contemplated his next move. The team may be in danger and he needed to do something about that, but how does he deal with his current predicament with the waves of armed men rushing him and the ground at his feet lifting. At that moment, he heard Rei’s voice crackle over the communicator.

”Blur, Hive, Watch out!”

The Hive didn’t need to watch to understand what was happening and it sent his primal brain in a frenzy of anger. The unbalanced nature of his ground at his feet was little to worry about since the barbs on his many hands and feet gripped surfaces easily, which allowed him the privilege of crawling upside down on ceilings and up sheer vertical surfaces. So as the ground raised, The Hive was steady as he balled all four of his fists and swung them downward to turn the platform of pavement which ascended beneath him into decimated rubble. The Hive’s hands then opened and clinched a larger part of the platform that he’d just shattered and heaved it forward with a spinning motion of his torso which sent the pavement flying forward like a Frisbee, hellbent on the destruction of the henchman which faced it. It mowed down a line of guards, crumpling beneath the incredible force which had propelled the disc. The Hive wasted no time in spinning and pushing himself from the platform in one of those brilliant pushing leaps and landing himself in a long row of the goons. At this point, the kid gloves had come off.

Immediately after the landed, his lower left hand swung upwards which nearly eviscerated the man before him using his long talons to shred the man’s abdominal. His torso heaved forward with the strength of the attack, the guard’s body left standing even upon the evacuation of his internal organs. As the large Ant leaned forward, his right leg shot out in a straight line behind him so that the heavy heel of the limb clashed with the rib cage of a man behind him who was in the process of swinging a wooden baseball bat downward to try and brain The Hive. However, before the bat descended, the man was flung backwards like he was tied to a SCUD missile, creating a destructive wave through the slowly thinning crowd. But tactics needed to be changed, teammates needed help and it was The Hive’s duty to complete this. So the situation took an almost comical turn as The Hive reached out with each of his four hands simultaneously and grasp four goons by their startled faces. Once having armed himself with a set of flailing projectiles, The Hive spun quickly and swung his burden forward, flinging them through the air in the general direction of the Masked Tiki Protector who was positioned near the building the team had originally descended. The goons screamed as they traversed the air in a wide arch, their death was eminent and hopefully, they would at least distracted the Tiki Man or caused the Masked Assailant to turn their attention to The Hive and allow Rei to…

The Hive took a fraction to search the area for Rei who was, suddenly, not on the fire escape anymore. In the wide expanse of his Feeler’s range, he noticed the most large electrical signatures grouped together away from the building. These were, probably, Roxane, Rei and the Hooded Gentleman who was their adversary. So Rei seemed clear of the Tiki Fire God, yet was close in a proximity of another enemy which caused The Hive to shift his stance and swing forward his last two missiles and sending them flying through the air towards The Hooded man, like an unwanted burden which would be pleasantly placed under the care of someone else. Sadly, The Hive didn’t have the time necessary to see if his long range attacks would be victorious as he had to turn his attention back upon the encroaching crowds.

:Location: |Head Quarters|:Company: |a variety of super powered beings|:Hero Name: ⇉ |LEI KUNG|;:Clothing: |clicky click| ;:Costume: |boots , guantlet -weapon, pants, jacket, mask |

▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

Li-Fan chuckled at her enthusiasm towards the idea of sneaking in via the back door. She was either very eager to fight crime and injustice, or really bored and wanted to dance. "Thanks...And, please, call me Lei Kung." They were on the clock after all, plus Li-Fan felt stranger to be addressed as Mr. Lei. For some reason he thought she would shift into an animal to sneak back, a bird that could fly over head real quick, or perhaps a rodent that could covertly scurry on back. Instead she put her communicator around her neck and started musing up her hair.

'It probably is painful to turn into another creature. This way is probably for the best.' He thought to himself as Quinn pulled a tube a lipstick out her pocket and start applying. he shifted weight from one foot to the other, feeling slightly awkward. 'Is this how guys feel when they have to wait for their girlfriends to get ready?' He caught himself thinking but shook it away. He shouldn't be thinking nonsense things right now. They were on a mission and should keep his attention 100% on the task at hand. First things first, scouting outside the night club, gain access, then keep an eye open for suspicious activity. From there he hadn't gotten very fair, though he was still running different scenarios through his head. He heard kissing noises and jerked his head to the side to see Quinn waving at him as she walked towards the alley, a rather provocative sway to her hips. He waved back but didn't start following after her till she had reached the opening of the alley. At that point in time Li-Fan was glad he wore a mask that covered the majority of his fight, or else his blush would of probably light up the darkness around them. Anyone who happen to see the two walk into the alley would think they were looking for a type of pleasure time the club couldn't offer inside.

The problem with being able to manipulate energy was that also meant you could sense it when it was nearby. The problem with being able to sense energy meant that being right beside a place that uses a lot of energy, for example a night club, is that it could easily over whelm you. As Li-Fan walked into the alleyway he had to stop to adjust to sudden rhythm of the energy right beside him. Not just the massive amounts of electricity being poured into the place, but the large amount of kinetic energy as the crowd danced, and the potential energy that every thing possessed. Each of the different types of energy had a different feel and there was one pulse he was faintly picking up that wasn't like the other three. He had felt that energy not to long ago, at head quarters in fact, when Roxanne had revealed the strange mask. It had only taken a second to adjust and process the information, but in that time Quinn had gotten several feet ahead of him. "Be careful, Miss Quinn, this place gives me a bad feeling." He whispered into his communicator, not wanting to be to loud in case someone else was indeed close by.

Li-Fan took a few steps forward then stopped as the shape-shifter's accented voiced reached him. "...I twisted my ankle and I just can't take this darn shoe off to look. Do you mind helping?" Someone else was there. He crouched down in the shadows and watched as Quinn limped forward and gesturing to the supposed ankle that was hurt. The man she was talking to seem ordinary enough, if there was such a thing in this city. A cigarette dangled from his fingers, the smoke of which drifted upwards in the sky before being snatched away by the slight breeze. His attire was the casual clothing of a club goer. It was only a quick glance that Li-Fan took as he his attention was snatched by the appearance of a set of security cameras. Cheap ones, but they were surly linked to a monitor inside somewhere. While he could surely take them out from here to do so would alert the man of his presence, and to the fact that they were trying to sneak in.

In all honesty the guy looked like one of the patrons or works out for a smoke and some fresh air, not security that would turn them in. All the same better not to reveal their intentions, and if they could manage to do so with out fighting. Well, that would be bonus points as far as Li-Fan was concerned! He raised his communicator to his covered mouth so that he wouldn't have to speak very loudly to be heard, though he could only hope that Quinn could hear his hushed tones over the beat of the music streaming out the club. "I need to get closer to the cameras to take them out with alerting this guy. Just play along for now."

With that small warning and a deep breath he stepped out of the shadows and into the the part of the dimly lite alley that the smoker and Quinn occupied. "Oh, there you are, Babe" He called out as he did so, locking his gaze on Quinn. His normal pace had been replaced by a long legged stride of someone over confident and cocky. "I was starting to to think you were trying..." He trailed off as he got closer, his eyes finally noticing the one thing out of place on the smoker. A mask, the kind you might seen worn at a formal masquerade ball, but absolutely not at a club such as this. The other thing he realized was that this was were the fourth kind of energy type was coming form. A feeling of uneasy was whirling in his stomach.

Lei Kung came up behind Quinn and wrapped his arms around her waist, leaning down to rest his chin on her shoulder, while his suddenly cold blue eyes glared out at the man. His actions would most likely come off as that of a overly possessive and jealous boyfriend, which was the intention. He knew he had to make up for the suddenly trailing off and this was the only method that immediately came to mind. In his head though, Li-Fan was saying a thousand apologizes for doing any of this without acquiring Quinn's permission first. "Who's is your new...friend?" With any luck the smoker would just be one of the regular citizens of Zion, a person not interested in entering a lovers spat. Li-Fan was really hoping that this wasn't one of the people they needed to watch out for, but somehow he had the sinking feeling that things might get a little hairy. Arm them he could feel the energy shifted and move as he concentrated to generate a force shield around them. Using just enough energy to form one, but still make it invisible to the naked eye. A light attack it could absorb but anything to heavy would get through.

Quinn smiled at the stranger, still gesturing at her left ankle when she heard Lei Kungs soft voice over the communicator telling her to be careful. She made sure to keep the smile plastered on her face as she continued to ask for this mans help.

She heard him again, telling her to play along, so she did. "Maybe you could help over here where it's lighter fella. It sure does hurt," she restated. However, before she could turn and lead him away, Lei Kung's voice echoed across the alley. And then, the most surprising thing happened.

Quinn immediately noticed the pause in his sentence and soon after, she could feel his arms around her waist and chin rest on her shoulder. "What the?!" Quinn coughed and corrected herself, "Honey, my ankle hurts worse than a baby rash." she laughed nervously, while gently pushing him away.

Quinn pointed at the masked guy. "He was just about to help me with my ankle, weren't you?" she said and then patted away at Lei Kungs chest, pretending to dust it. And then we will go to the club I promise, I just needed a break," she finished! glad to be able to play along naturally.

Just when Hatsumi questioned her fellow companion about finding anything suspicious, they heard faint whispers from where they stood. Hatsumi believed it might of been merely the rodents that would occupy an abandoned building such as this and paid no heed to it for the time being. The four story building was enormous compared to the two petite females who searched the vacant corners. For a moment, Hatsumi had doubts that anyone would be at such an area. Would there really meet at such a setting?
The girls who cautiously walked through the dark halls heard whispers yet again. This time, it was not the vocals of a rodent. Nor the scrimmage of the insects on a wall. Instead, the expressions were familiar. There were beings occupying the seemingly last floor of the building.

They made their ways through the rubble as they neared the whispers which soon became audible.
"Yes we've looked over the entire city..." one of the men started. They ended up walking up to the last floor and now, they stood at the end of the hallway, just feet away from the converstaion. Hatsumi, with her back against the wall of the hallway, cautiosly moved forward. Her back slowly gliding against the dusty walls. She stopped until the entrance of the room was just inches away. She was able to better hear the rest of the conversation.
"If this latest shipment doesn't have it, then it's definitely in the vault....no it shouldn't be a problem....I trust the distraction is ready then....oh lovely....yes ofcourse sir....I live to serve..."

Hatsumi's mind was in a blur. Several minutes passed before she was able to put the puzzling pieces into place. There appeared to be a man who was in higher ranking than the other. "Shipment..? Distraction..?" Hatsumi whispered to herself. These words, what did they mean? They seemed to be sending something out. What could this something be? Then what was that about the distraction?

Hatsumi decided to listen even further. Perhaps they could provide more clues as to what they were trying to send out. She concluded that she will only start leaving when the two completed their conversation. Or should they leave now before they were caught? Hatsumi glanced over at Alice to observe her next course of action; to stay or leave, or..

Primrose was standing waiting next to Rei's bike, she could have gone up to the roof as well but waiting down here gave her a different vantage point. Spacing off a bit Primrose began to talk to the weeds growing along the buildings. They weren't the most pleasant plants to talk to but these ones let her know about the comings and goings of the trucks. Prim jumped a bit when the weeds told her a fight was happening. Quickly she moved around to the edge of the building and looked over seeing the two odd looking characters. She saw The Hive take out the other lackys and Rei taking on the hooded figure. She paused a moment before running forward, going for the tiki man. Before he could shoot any more fire her skin covered itself in a thick layer of bark from a fire resistant tree. She stopped short of him and lifted her hands vines creeping out before shooting out to grab the man. "Sorry I'm late"

The Red Blur
Roxane Chase

The man continued slowly closing his hand, the barrier shrinking further in tandem with the motion, causing Roxanne to really start to freak out, only having about 2 feet of space left between the inner and outer barrier. "OK SERIOUSLY YOU GUYS I NEED YOUR ******** HELP!!" she shouted in panic, now trying to wedge herself between the two barriers to try to keep them propped open somehow, though it was having no effect. Thankfully the man's hand suddenly jerked to a halt, along with the rest of his body. "hmmm?" the hooded man muttered, unable to turn his head to look around but hearing Kage's voice. "oh the shadow realms, how very intimidating" the man said with a chuckle. His body suddenly started to glow with a purplish aura and he turned around to face Rei with a smirk, Rei's shadow binding no longer seeming to affect him. "a shadowmancy...very clever, unfortunately for you it is not a wizard's body you need to restrain, but their mind" he said, reaching up and pulling down his hood, revealing his face to both of them. He was a tan skinned, white haired elf, as evidenced by his long pointy ears. "and no mind is greater than Jezarmo, Elder Sage of Terra-Sol" he declared, revealing his identity, which the others may or may not have recognized. Those who did would recognize him as the former Elder Sage of the solar system and, more specifically, earth, the highest ranking mage on the planet. They'd also know that the man who stood before them had been dead for almost ten years now. (full profile available in the database soon). "I'd ask for your name as well....but I do not make a habit of remembering the dead" he said, raising his palm to Rei. He'd feel his body temperature start to rise dramatically, his blood heating up in his veins and threatening to literally boil inside him, an excruciating and horrible way to die should he not find a way to escape.

The masked tiki man looked up to the now absent building and let out a huff, seeming to believe that Rei had been melted away by his lava. He turned away just in time to see the Hive launch a quartet of men at him. Letting out a low, inhuman growl the tiki man stepped forward swatting one out of the air casually as if knocking away a fly, letting the other three whiz past him, leaving them to their own messy fates as they hit the wall of the building. The tiki god stopped however as he saw Rei appear and confront Jezarmo. "I am more than capable of disciplining these children Ku, focus on exterminating the bug before he causes any more damage" Jezarmo ordered, the two missles hitting the barrier and harmlessly bouncing off, flying off into the air before exploding. Ku turned back to the Hive and let out a primal roar, the other gang members dropping their weapons and fleeing in terror at this point, most of them shouting about how they had "not signed up for this" and other things to that effect. However before he could do anything Primrose made her appearance wrapping vines around Ku. The tiki god glanced down at the vines, seemingly unphased, before glancing back up and continuing his approach towards the Hive, the vines starting to sizzle and burn away as he approached, not at all halting his process. The air around them began to heat up as the masks eyes and maw began to glow brighter and hotter. Ku let out another deafening roar before opening his maw wide and spewing forth a torrent of lava towards both Hive and Primrose.

Night Club

The man near the door was simply standing around minding his business, when he was suddenly approached by the limping Quinn "huh?" he muttered, glancing down at her foot as she explained she twisted it. "not sure how you managed that, but I wouldn't mind helpin' a lady out" he said, glancing up towards her body, smirking a bit believing his little hero act my score him a "reward" of sorts. His body language changed a bit when she asked about the mask. "got it inside, some sorta "masquerade" theme for tonight or whatever" the man said with a shrug, not seeming to think it was a big deal. The man took a step forward towards Quin, but stopped when Lei Fan came in out of no where, wrapping his arm around Quinn, making it clear he was her girl. Clearly discouraged the man took another puff of his cigarette before turning for the door. "me? no one, just takin' a smoke." he said. "might wanna take care of your girl bub, and keep an eye on her for that matter" the guy said before opening the door and heading inside, showing that the back door was in fact unlocked.

As the two Young Guardians snooped in on the conversation, they'd start to hear mumbling coming from the other person in the room. However oddly enough the man's voice was muddled, indistinguishable, as if it where a bunch of strange voices all chattering at once in one big inaudible mess of gibberish. Yet still the other man was replying as if everything said was perfectly legible. "the warehouse? Oh I see...well Jezarmo should be able to handle it, plus that new mask you lent us should come in handy, I swear it baffles me where you find those things.....hmmm? oh no don't worry about that, I'm not so daft as to set up our meeting here without any precaution. Infact they've already fallen into my trap....trap.....trap.......trap..." his words would echo as the world around both Alice and Hatsumi would start to blur and melt away, leaving them in an empty expanse of darkness. "my my what do we have here?" a familiar figure asked. The man the two knew as the Ring Master chuckled a bit as he appeared in the dark void, seeming to walk upside down along a non existent ceiling. "now girls, didn't your mummies ever tell you not to go playing around strange neighborhoods?" he asked, the darkness slowly washing away to reveal them inside what looked like the inside of a circus tent, the girls handing upside down by their heels, explaining why the Ring Master looked like he was upside down. "you never know what kind of dangerous strangers could be lurking around" he said with an insane chuckle.

The Ring Master chuckled as Alice managed to cut their ropes to escape, muttering on about parents being hard to come by. "true" he said snapping his fingers, suddenly both Alice and Hatsumi would find themselves once again strung upside down. The strange part was they hadn't been attacked by anything, or actually hung back up, they where just...there...as if in the blink of an eye the entire scene had just reset. "thankfully rope isn't" he said with a sly grin. The Ring Master pulled up a chair, which literally appeared out of no where, and sat down on it backwards, propping his arms up on the backrest. "now where were we? Oh yes introductions....I'm sure you know who I am, so please tell me...who are you?...and more importantly who sent you, and why?" The Ring Master asked. "oh how rude of me! You guys didn't come just to chatter did you? You came for a show!...oh and I know just the one for you" he said clapping his hands, the floor beneath Alice and Hatsumi vanishing away to reveal them dangling over an open cage full of hungry lions. "the lion tamer...well sans the actual tamer...boy we haven't fed those in a while have we?" he said, peering over the edge of the pit that lead to the lion cage and whistling. "man I wouldn't want to fall down there...I have the feeling you wouldn't either" The Ring Master said, pulling out two small daggers from his coat pocket. The daggers floated up into the air and slowly began cutting away at Alice and Hatsumi's ropes. "I'd start talking if I where you...quickly.."

Hatsumi nodded when Alice gave her a hug, "I too am relieved that I found a fellow companion." They continued their scout and heard voiced on the last floor.

Everything happened so fast. One moment, the girls were eavesdropping on a conversation of what seemed to be a one man show, then the next, they somehow ended up stuck; hanging upside down?! And they met the.. Ring Master!?! So he was still alive after all.. or was he?

The girls hung there, upside down. It was indeed smart for the girls to be wearing leggings and shorts. Alice tried to free them and it worked. Her plan was brilliant. However, they ended up being in the same position just by him snapping his fingers. Hatsumi's poker face remained silent, carefully absorbing the details of their current situation. She felt this was similar to something she had done before; similar to her ability perhaps. She turned to Alice and assured her, "Alice. Please do be calm. We must focus."

Hatsumi closed her eyes and tried to recall what the database had to say about the Ring Master. She remembered reading something about his unusual powers; telekinesis, teleportation...ILLUSIONS! That was it. This may all be JUST an illusion. If so.. then perhaps she can also trap the Ring Master into his own nightmare. But first...

She decided to ignore the lions and rope cutting for the time being, to try and break his facade. She slowly opened her mouth to say, "We are here in the aid to the Ring Master who is lost." She wanted to try and confuse him mentally through reverse psychology. He apparently knew they were coming somehow for they would not have fallen for such a trap. Was this the distraction they were talking about? If so, then what is the shipment? Hatsumi hoped the the others found the places with these 'shipments'.
She slowly opened her mouth again, "Why are you here Ring Master? You were a victim, no?" She carefully chose and mingled the seemingly right words. Perhaps she can gain information before they try to attack back. Her crimson red eyes were swallowing the faces that the Ring Master was making. His make-up was as think as ever.
