Finally, the tug of war: simple, dirty, and short. After wracking his brains on the test and narrowly avoiding some mishaps on the course, he was more than ready to prove himself--especially if it meant yanking another dorm out physically himself.
Face set, he grabbed the rope and tugged, cursing as the mud made his usual death grip slide.

Except Piper was forcibly reminded that even for a reaper she had rather noodly arms; most of her power relied on her magic, and boo that wasn't allowed. Not even one little fire bird at the undeads? Really??

After the whole embarrassing thing in the quiz portion of the competition Hayes was ready to kick some a** and not even bother to take names. His pride was hurt at the moment and he didn't give a care in the world about the fact that the rope was covered in all sorts of painful items. Nope. In fact, Hayes grabbed the rope and pulled back with all his might. Tug-O-War. Tug-for-your-life-or-die-trying more like it. Circe was shocked and maybe even a little terrified to see that the rope was covered in all sorts of items that would hurt like hell when they scraped at the skin. Let's face it, there was no way of not getting scraped. Circe sighed and shook her head. Why had she chosen to do this again? Well it was a chance for her to fight against other students. Thus far though it had been the complete opposite of what she had wanted or expected. The ghoul made a mental note to herself to think a lot harder next time before running off to join something like this. Circe grabbed the rope and pulled hard, slipping and sliding--even falling at times--as she attempted to help the Reaper dorms win. THEY WOULD WIN. As much as she loved the undead boils and ghouls. They were so cute and they always smelled amazing. Lihua held on tight to the the tope till her knicks turned whiter than they usually were. She didnt want to be the disappointment for her team. She closed her eyes and hoped that everything turned out good. She gave tbe best tug that she could with all of her strength. Brenley ducked behind a gaggle of excited reapers, reaching for the rope with a great deal of hesitation. He had done his part during the quiz, but he wasn't sure how much he could help here. Still, he had to try. He would make his fellow reapers proud, and, oh wait... there was Hale. She certainly seemed to be... pulling very hard.

Okay this was totally awesome!
Well... mostly awesome. The rope was a little intimidating. But nothing that didn't completely surprise the she-wolf. Seriously. This was Amityville. LW would have been more suspicious if it had been just your plain old ordinary rope.
She wasted no time in hopping right on in with her fellow Monsters to get a good hold on the rope. And then the tugging part began.

Nessy just did not understand any of this. The tournament. It's appeal to everyone. Why she was doing all this.
The ghost ghoul just nervously stood among her fellow ghosts, watching as they all took up spots with a very strange rope.
One she did not really want to grab.
But everyone else was doing it. And preparing to tug?
Shoulders hunched a little, trying to make herself appear invisible, Nessy moved towards the rope and just mimicked what everyone else did.

Aldara was not a fan of mud, nor was she a fan of anything else that seemed to be plaguing the rope that they were supposed to hang on to... But this was the last competition; their last change to show everyone else what they were made of and she was determined to at least try. Tug - of - war? What. Such a stupidly barbaric game, no doubt something a monster came up with but if it was a challenge he supposed he had to do it. Moving into position he made sure to avoid the section with fire and grabbed hold of the rope. Planting his feet firmly to the ground he gave as hard of a pull as he could manage, hoping to at least aid a little to his fellow demons strength.

This was his kind of game, bouncing eagerly he raced to a place in the rope to grab hold but before doing so he turned and waved frantically towards the stands he knew San would be at. Hoping that his friend would see how good he was Tavi rubbed his hands together and put his all into tugging along with the demons as they started the war.

Myr wasn't looking forward to this. He had been much happier with the written test, but he was going to try. That was all he could do.
