Damage
[Z'radi and Rotatonth
HP: 28/35
Ag: +2
Zephyr wing]

Z'radi noticed the thread falling towards them, awfully close at hand.
Rotatonth gave it a glance and twisted in the air, buffeting the thread out of the way before smoothly reaching back for more firestone.

Z'radi grinned.

((Yay for damage reduction))

Acriculeth
Agility: -2
HP: 17/58

As Acriculeth reappeared A'nos tossed more firestone to his dragon, lips set in a thin determined line.

Chest heaving like a bellows the bronze crunched away on and then gulped down the firestone. He could do no more than that. Gathering his strength the bronze tightened up his position in the formation and shot another great gout of flame at the Thread.

Acriculeth
Agility: -2
Damage: 7
HP: 10/58

Plenty of fire but nothing else left seemed to be becoming their curse for the day. Acriculeth saw the knot of Thread tumbling towards them and tried to bank out of the way. Usually that would have been no problem at all but with his body screaming at him the bronze was too slow, and it caught him on the back not far behind his rider.

Choking on a half breath of flame and a nose full of Thread-ash the bronze sprang between again, desperate to rid himself of the tangling strands.

Luka and Lophorinth // Burn Post

We're excellent Poecileth! Lophorinth chirped. He'd only taken a couple hits. It was nothing a blue as awesome as HE was couldn't handle! Loph dipped his wings, dropping in the air to catch a patch falling just to his left. A long tongue of flame charred most of the silver strands. Proud, Loph twisted high to retake his position.

Luka and Lophorinth // Damage Post

Wait! Luka tugged against the straps and leaned back against the movement as she caught sight of another patch right where Loph intended to be. The instinctive movement may not do much to actually change their direction but the flash of fear in Luka's mind had the desired effect. Lophorinth flailed, forcing his body to change direction even as he felt the tangle wrap itself around the leading edge of his wing. He roared and disappeared between.

How bad? Luka could feel pain radiating from her own shoulder blade though whether it was her own or Lophorinth's she couldn't tell at this point.

Lophorinth stretched his wings when they emerged back into the air, the hide around his 'hand' was scoured deep, having caught the worst of the tangle, but the membrane was still attached. I can manage... at least until our shift is up. He couldn't back out and look bad now! They'd be done by the end of the next wave he was sure. He could make it if he didn't take any more hits like that.

[Malta and Poecileth
HP: 22/35
Agility: +1
Zenith wing]

Poecileth recieved the responses with a gentle nod in the wind, relaying them to Malta.

Poecileth blew a gentle little flame, searing a single strand of Thread.

Malta shifted uncomfortably.
Both were reluctant, since practice would take away from Malta's healer duties, and neither wanted that.
Malta was starting to feel that sort of false calm as the wave of thread was starting to dissipate.

[Malta and Poecileth
HP: 17/35
Agility: +1

That calm did not last long as a gust of hot air sent them off course. Poecileth corrected, only to feel the all too familiar searing pain along the edge of her tail.
A quick flicker in and out of between rid her of the strand, but she could feel herself beginning to tire.

she commented, feeling Malta's agreement.

They both were hopeful, but they both knew that it was likely far from over.

Acriculeth
Agility: -2
HP: 10/58

A'nos curled his fingers against his dragon's neck, reaching out with his mind at the same moment to try to bolster the bronze against the agony singing through his veins.

Acriculeth had no energy to reply. Fly, flame, dodge. That was all there was, all there could be.

Acriculeth
Agility: -2
Damage: 7
HP: 3/58

Acriculeth's mighty flame blazed out once more but his wingbeats were becoming clumsy despite his best effort and as he wavered just a fraction too much and then struggled to compensate a tangle of thread struck the leading edge of his left wing. He was between and back again in moments but damage was done to the limb and later inspection would reveal small pock-marks in his wing sail as well.

Ja'kki and Emerath // Burn Post

Emerath barely managed to swallow her current mouthful of stone before attempting to flame at another patch. She missed most of it, but managed to take out a chunk of the thin clump.

Another ball of fire missed entirely and Emerath squeeked as the last little tangle came right at her.

[Z'radi and Rotatonth
HP: 28/35

Z'radi sighed. Her dragon felt she needed to repeat this to her EVERY fall. Admittedly Rota forgot she'd already lectured her rider, but still.

Rotatonth flamed a small patch of thread.

((Stupid posting thing messing up my dice roll...))

Just then, Rotatonth took a score to the foreleg, blinking between. Z'radi held the reference point in her head, but there was a tinge of sarcasm to the image.

She received a rumble in response.

[Malta and Poecileth
HP: 17/35
Agility: +1
Zenith wing]

Poecileth repeated to Malta, watching Acriculeth. Her wingmate was tiring. Malta nodded, the emotion coming through the connection.
Poecileth was in pain, but, always, the concern was for her wingmates. Flame thread, they could not well do. Assist, they could.

The pair moved closer in. They could at least slow his fall if it came to that.

Poecileth blew a patch of thread to flames, a little more pleased at this blast.
Malta warned, noting a silver menace approaching them.

Damage
[Malta and Poecileth
HP: 8/35
Agility: +1
Zenith wing]

Poecileth shot forward to avoid the thread coming from behind, but the updrafts and flurries from the heat of the dragon's breath and from her own wings drew it towards her. She betweened before she could cry out in pain, popping out on the other side of the Bronze. In the moments between, she managed to bite back her pain, her eyes a dazzle of grey, blue, and yellow. Her flank- too close to Malta's position for comfort- was a nasty mess.
Malta winced in phantom pain. It had been too close- her side chilled from sharp holes in the leathers. Her skin was lightly scored- they had been quick. Malta knew she herself was fine, but Poecileth...

Poecileth was quiet, trying to keep her own pain under control. She knew Malta had been hurt, and though it was not badly, she felt she should have done better. Could have done better.
<...I Tire...> She said finally and carefully, gliding,
said Malta,

Malta checked the scores on herself. They weren't bad- they weren't even bleeding just.. unpleasantly sensitive. They would need some covering and antiseptic, just in case, but other than that she knew she would be fine. she said, far more worried about Poecileth.
Together, they waited for the all clear for this wave.
