~Skye Walker~ Skye barely heard what William had to say and turned around. "Did you say something?" she asked. But when she turned around, she saw William run away from where they were. "What? Will! Where are you going?!" she called out to him and tried to run after him only to end up being slower with her now really wet dress. "Wait!"

 William • Yates There were blood stains on the floor that were from William. He was resting against a tree trying to catch his breathe. There more and more blood. He didn't want Skye to see him like this and scare her.

~Skye Walker~ Skye followed the stains of blood, afraid that they might be from William. She kept following until she saw him against a tree and saw blood on his chest. "Will!," she called out and ran up to him, sitting down next to him. She looked at his bloody chest and was about to touch it but pulled her hand back, scared of hurting him more. "How did this happen?"

William • Yates William looked at Skye and sighed. This is what he was trying to prevent from happening. Her seeing him like this. "I think this is life's way of telling me my time as a human is up. The wounds that caused my death are reappearing. I... I don't belong as human. I'm dead anyways... Sorry you had to see me like this." more woulda began to appear and his face began to have cuts and blood in it. It was as I Skye was seeing exactly how William died a year ago. So painfully and in agony... All for the sake of the kingdom. Either way, William keep smiling right now. Not letting he pain get to him. "I'll be back as a ghost though. Don't worry. " he smiled at her the best he could.

~Skye Walker~ Tears started to swell up in Skye's eyes while she tried to hold them back. 'It's my fault,' she thought. 'I didn't say anything back then to stop him from dieing.' "Why do you still smile when you are in pain," she said, wiping her eyes before tears could come out.

William • Yates William smiled a bit more before explaining. "How else would I receive death? I greet it for a second time as an acquaintance. Skye, I am no longer a living creature. I don't belong on this world but on the underworld. I don't regret dying for my king and the kingdom but what I do regret is you seeing me like this. I'll be back. I promise." William kept his chivalry until the end.

~Skye Walker~ Skye was already staring to cry, a few tears running down her cheeks. "You make it sound as if you'll always be there. Like I have nothing to worry about," she said. She didn't care if he was dieing the way he did a year ago in front of her. She wanted him to stay alive so that they could talk more often and go to the lake again like today.

William • Yates William used the last of his energy to wipe off a tear from Skye's cheek. "That's because it's true. Even if I cease existing even as a ghost, I'll always be protecting this kingdom, but trust me when I tell you this. I have a feeling that I will be back. Smile. Alright?" he smiled at her one last time before he vanished completely. The blood that had been dripping from him as well. It was all gone.

~Skye Walker~ Skye cried some more when he disappeared from his spot. Even his coat that was on her shoulders disappeared. "I will. I'll smile," she said practically to herself since William wasn't there. She wiped away some of her tears and tried calming herself down only to fail. She didn't know why this was so painful to her. Maybe because this was the first time someone died in front of her, she wasn't sure. She stayed there for a few moments until she finally calmed down and walked back to her home to change. She no longer had her appetite and just stayed in her room, looking out her window toward the gates.

William • Yates At night, the ghost of William was by his tomb again, taking care of the gates. Quietly, he watched over knowing that this forever will be his post. Never to rest in the afterlife, but instead always guard.

~Skye Walker~ Skye saw something glow a bit by the gates that seemed so familiar to her until she realized what it was. She gasped and put on a cloak to keep her warm and sneaked out into the night once more to meet her dear friend. She almost ran to the gates, thinking that if she didn't hurry, he might disappear again.

William • Yates William was were always. Just roaming in that same area, his very same translucid self, the hole in his chest still as visible as always. He still wasn't sure why he had been able to be human today again, but maybe it was best not to know.

~Skye Walker~ Skye got to the gate, breathing heavily from running. She saw William at the gate and felt like a burden was taken off her heart. "William...," she was able to say through her breath. She smiled at seeing him there and not gone forever. "I am so happy that you are not gone."

William • Yates William turned to Skye and smiled broadly at her. "I told you I wouldn't leave." he answered. He noticed her heavy breathing and couldn't help but chuckle at it. He figured she must have had come running upon seeing him or at least his silhouette. "I will always forever stay here for it is my fate. What happened today... I don't know why, but I am afraid it will surely not happen again. I... I already lost my chance of living as a human." There had been many dreams that William never accomplished while he lived. For example, marrying and having children is one of those dreams he had but told no one before. He had planned that if he had survived the war he would go for a vacation for a while and probably find a woman to court.

~Skye Walker~ Skye seemed sad that he had already given up on himself. "Don't give up so easily, Will," she said to him. She wished she could touch him again so she could hug him and make him feel better. "I'm sure there is some way to make you human again."
