Lawr lay on his back in the grass, looking up at the stars quietly. He'd never gotten used to the fog, he assumed it was some kind of freak weather pattern. He was glad it was gone.
He tried to ignore the snappish dog.

If she was taller she might have tried to wrap a arm over his shoulders, instead she settled for mimicking his movement. "No. Always wanted to go, honestly. Not in one of those moving houses either, but an actual tent and backpacks and in the woods. Though i wouldn't say no to bringing some sort of insect repellant. I've always wanted to try fishing too." Not missing a beat, she continued on. "You know, i kinda miss the fog. It feels weird without it. The stars sure are damn pretty, but it feels.....weird. Like somethings missing without it. Plus, i want to know where the hell it went to. I doubt it just vanished. Is a certain fog dragon reaping havoc on tokyo Ala Godzilla style right now? Are fog monsters plaguing people into thinking its the zombie apocalypse? Even worse, do we even know? We have no electricity to receive messages, no portals to leave on... We are kinda stranded here, Bix." That thought alone caused her to tense, why hadn't she realized that before? "********." She mumbled under her breath. They were sitting ducks right now. Not even the fog was hiding them any longer.

Did you know, if you tilt your head just right, the craters look like a series of craters?
"BAHA-" The shout of laughter was out before he could stop himself, so instead he turned and shoved his head into Mimsy's shoulder, stifling it. It hurt to laugh that hard - he hadn't laughed at all, since -
He lifted his head, no longer laughing, and gave Shiloh a look borderlining on crazy. While it was true that Robert remembered why he was saying that, this reaction was far funnier.
"THE <********> DID YOU CALL ME, BOY!?"

Shiloh made a face at Robert’s crazed expression, the Life Hunter wasn’t quite so intimidating flopped on the ground like he was. “You heard me, ******** had gathered, from Robert’s reactions, and the fact that Mimsy had specifically called him ‘Robert’, that ‘********’ wasn’t actually his name. Still, he couldn’t help but tease, laughing as he hid himself behind Quinn.

The force of Robert trying to stifle his hysterical laughter was almost enough to knock Mimsy into the ground. She tried to keep herself upright while wearing a look of surprise, either at the sudden motion or the fact that he had both gotten one of her jokes and laughed at it. "Be nice." She spoke vaguely, but gently curled her fingers around Robert's arm, because now was not the most opportune time for an angry puppy."The night is too pretty for this." She caught a glimpse of a meteor out of the corner of her eye, and made a face of teasing disappointment to all three men. "See? You already missed a wish!"

Be nice. Robert pouted like a chastised child, but he stopped staring at Shiloh (and Quinn) with that look of mad dog killer in his eyes, and gave them a reluctant grin. Maybe it showed a little too much teeth to be completely friendly. But he tried.
He dropped back down onto his back and looked up at the sky. "I kind of miss that alpaca." They'd become such unexpected friends at the end of that ride. "Do you think there's alpaca minipets? When the labs go back up, I mean. I've never really gone in there lookin'-"
And then he remembered way too much about the labs, the minipets, and the person who loved them, and the stars were assaulted with silence once more.
If he kept looking long enough, maybe he could make the only wish that mattered. Magic existed in this world. It wasn't hard to believe in the impossible, when you were simple minded.
