Even through the light haze of alcohol, Jordan frowned at the word another. Had Jerry met this thing before? Where and when? Oh my god, he groaned mentally as he realized his friend was still singing rather than summoning. "Dude, your ukelele is not a weapon, except maybe in the psychological sense! Summon!" he barked.
Rep managed to get Tracey under enough control to nick the shadow; as soon as they moved back far enough that Jordan could be reasonably sure he wasn't going to hit them instead of the shadow, he lunged in to bring Ferros around in a swift arc.
Jack, this is frustrating, Ferros complained. Jordan could sense the weapon distractedly trying to sweep the alcohol out of his bloodstream, but the charge and the fight were keeping him from concentrating enough to speed the process up.

Jordan's strike had the shadowman hissing and slipping back to blend in with the darkness once again. "Oh, but someone seems to think he's cool. Yeah, yeah, he's got some jive talk for such a sad-sack walk." Arms wrapped around Jerry, grabbing his hands, strumming along to a lively beat, "Oh, but someone's gonna be taken to school." Shoving the hunter away with a kick to the bottom, the shadowman stole the ukulele and danced as he continued to play.  HP: 54Damage to Jerry: 7Suffering Status If your character has been drinking alcohol or any form of drug, add 2 to your damage modifier. If your character has lost memories of being a hunter, add 1 to your damage modifier for every memory set they've lost. Decrease their charge attack by one tier (unless already at tier I). Modifier Cap is 13 (total)

Rep had to try very very hard not to keep laughing watching Jerry get absolutely sassed by the shadow creature, not sure whether to be distressed or delighted when he stole the ukulele.
He looked to Jordan. "Are we really caught in the middle of a ******** rhyme battle?"

"Apparently." Jordan angled Ferros back again, but hesitated as the shadowman slipped up behind Jerry, putting Jerry directly in his line of attack.

Jerry gave a startled noise as he was grabbed, but that paled in comparison to the enraged snarl that escaped him as the instrument was torn from his hands.
"Why do you always harass me! What sort of..." he was floundering, head swimming a moment before he finally growled, Roar appearing on his shoulder in a burst of green light, "Give that back right now!"

The tune changed, and the shadowman continued to dance around them, kicking its heels up in a jig. "Somewhere over the painbow, way up high There's some men that I heard of who liked to hug and..." a foot lashed out at the Queen , "...cry!" It gave a hissing chuckle as it loomed over him, "Where's ol'scar face these days, anyway?" It was frankly amazing how completely unfunny the taunting became when it wasn't aimed at someone who wasn't him, his sense of humour dead in the water. He reeled indignantly from the kick, whirling around as he narrowedhis brows and snarled defensively, about to defend his masculinity when the shadowy figure took a dig instead at Harrison.
There was a moment when he stopped dead in his tracks. Scarface. His Harrison had gotten his scars from a slipper b*****d who'd been a lingering problem in the kingdom. He suddenly found himself wondering despite the obvious differences if he was dealing with the same guy. In Blue Kingdom, they'd killed him.
It seemed the loser version of him and the pansy version of the Boss hadn't ever managed it.
Something in his stance changed, and there was a new found determination in his posture. "You are going to ******** regret bringing him into it you piece of s**t."
It was difficult to swing a giant axe with the ferocity he desired, but he gave it one damn good try.

Jordan's eyebrows went up with surprise, then twisted down into a scowl. So this was the guy who'd given Harrison his scars? This had gotten much more personal fast. "You," he said, sharp and clipped.
Of course, it was much harder to apply the appropriate revenge when your reactions were slowed and the opponent was shadow-quick. Jordan found himself wishing he had his chain as Ferros once again barely clipped the figure.
But Ferros was rumbling with aggressive heat, ready to flame. Jordan smiled grimly. Next shot he got, this shadow was going to get an unpleasant surprise.

"GIVE THAT UKE BACK!" Jerry roared as his weapon suddenly erupted with green light and sound, momentarily filling their dark hideaway. He at least had the frame of mind to concentrate on the shadowman's legs, praying his precious instrument would be missed. Hopefully. "Drunk or not, you are NOT getting away this time!"

The blow from Roar sent the shadowman reeling into some impromptu gymnastics as he regained his footing. "Hey man, human, I get your hate! But that's no reason to overcompensate! You're still just a little man with a great big gun. This ******** thing was frustrating the living hell out of Rep the longer the battle ran on. They simply couldn't touch it, as slippery as wet ice.
And yeah of course. Someone got to kiss Jerry.

As soon as the shadowman moved away from Jerry, Jordan darted in to swing Ferros in a long, rapid arc; the hammer burst into brilliant flame, roaring a silent, gleeful battle howl ...
... Jordan's foot landed on a hollow in the grass, his ankle tried to twist under him, and he performed a spectacular faceplant. Ferros hit the ground a good three feet away from the shadowman, and his fire flickered out.
I AM EMBARRASSED TO BE YOUR WEAPON RIGHT NOW, the dragon shouted.

Jerry pushed his glasses up his nose as the smoke cleared from Roar's throat. He smirked, about to retort, happy to continue to distract the thing when suddenly he realized the shadow man had leaped, tumbled, and twirled right up to press his shadowy lips against him and-
A shudder went up and down his spine, face white in the moonlight as he gaped.
Thankfully, the other two continued to try to catch the creature.
"I've... I've had enough of you and your... your B-BULLSHIT!" He snarled, voice and hands shaking as he hefted his canon again to try to aim...

No one taunted blue kingdom, and watching this Jordan get harassed by the shadowy creature was just the same as watching his Jordan. He wouldn't stand for it, not in a million ******** years.

So he did. Or tried anyway, letting the power run through him, even as he did so, spawning a blood red magic circle where he stood that flared in the night, long tendrils of bone like shadow twisting tightly around Tracey, spiked and lethal.
He jumped, because that seemed to be what made sense, it was what the angel wanted. But he was lost, they didn't sync, they couldn't sync properly.
He came down well wide of the mark and did a wonderful impression of Jordan's faceplant.
Tracey sighed.
