 Daniel BerryEllery listened silently, biting his lip, then suddenly burst into laughter. " Fredrich! You're actually really cute!" he managed to say, reaching up to poke Fredrich's blushing cheek. " Beneath that quiet, strong facade, you're a lovesick little puppy, and it's completely adorable!" The brunette clasped his hands behind his back, eyes twinkling up at the man. " That is really sweet, though. I mean, I grew up with Lock, so I'm already used to his favorite scents, but to put so much effort into something you dislike so much? You're a better match than I, by far." Turning to lean on the wall, he smiled up at the man and crossed his arms. " Speaking of matching, I need to learn more about you, and you more about me, if we're going to spend an entire week with Lock and Ethan. In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.The detective scowled when his blush was made obvious and swatted away at Ellery's hand. A lovesick puppy? He was nowhere even close to...! " Y-You seem like the type to be a singer." he coughed, trying to change the subject. Asked to talk about himself, Fredrich tensed slightly and dug his hands into his pocket, thinking over his words carefully. " My full name's Fredrich Austin Waltz, I'm twenty-four and mostly Austrian. My father died of colon cancer when I was seventeen. I love mind games like chess and Sodoku, and I can play violin. I'm still learning piano." He let out a sigh when he was done talking, having never spoken that much about himself before. His dark blue eyes looked at Ellery. " Now it's your turn." Daniel BerryThe singer didn't even need to think about it. It was already written on his introduction card. " My name is Ellery James Advimi, my blood type is AB negative, and I'm twenty-two years old. I was born in Oklahoma, but my mother was born in France and my father in Italy, hence my last and my first name. My mother died when I was two years old while trying to give birth to my sister, who also died. My father then died when I was seventeen, along with my step-sister and step-mother, due to a botched burglary. I enjoy reading, writing, and all forms of music, and can play many instruments, including guitar, piano, and yes, even violin. Oh, and my favorite food is anything pasta." He tilted his head at the man and smiled softly. " I've also lived in South Korea since I was nine, and writing songs professionally since I was sixteen. I didn't fall into the mainstream until I was twenty, and forced to help train a pop group." " I suspected it when I was twelve, but I knew for sure when I was sixteen and I walked into his bedroom to find him having sex with his babysitter. He wasn't surprised to know that about Han, but it wasn't anything his mind needed to torture him with a mental image of. Shuddering off the disgusting thought, he remembered his time with Ethan and gave a brief nod. " I was so scared of losing him, and I realized that kind of behavior wasn't normal for me. Although I believe my passion strengthened once I met Han. I hate him for taking Ethan away, but all I can do is be bitter. I don't want to force Ethan out of his relationship, that would only upset him." he sighed then looked back at the songwriter. " I'm sure you must feel the same way. Daniel Berry" During the weakest point in their relationship, which should be in about a month and a half," he answered, reaching up to adjust Fredrich's hair. " Jesus, you need to have your hair cut. You look like a beatnik, and I can barely see- oh! There's those pretty eyes!" With a cute grin, Ellery lowered himself from his tiptoes and stuffed his hands into his pockets. " By the way, I think you should thank me for a little tidbit of information I'm about to give you. Technically, Lock is engaged, but not just to Ethan. He's been arranged to marry this girl from our youth since he was born, and she was four. The marriage hasn't been forced, and Lock is free to marry whoever he wishes, since he's rich and doesn't need her family's money anymore, but according tot he books in South Korea, their marriage is still arranged. When he marries Ethan, it'll be fully broken, and he'll be free of her. Honestly, she has a crush on me instead of Lock, and sees him as more of a brother than a potential husband, but it's all still very clear, and Ethan wouldn't like it." Ellery Advimi

He was about to question what this tidbit of Ellery's was when he answered for him. His entire being froze. Engaged? Han was in an arranged marriage - one he could freely deny yet chose not to - even when he got engaged to Ethan? He had been in a relationship this entire time? Anger bubbled inside the detective, his black hair fell over his eyes as he grit his teeth. Suddenly, he swung his fist towards the wall and punched a dent into it. " That spoiled brat has the audacity to play with Ethan's heart like that?!" he yelled as he tilted his head back, anger clear in his dark blue eyes. Daniel Berry" Calm down, Mongo, he's genuinely in love with the boy," said Ellery, prying Fredrich's fists from the wall and dusting it off. " He just hasn't been able to deny the marriage until now. Honestly, he thought it wasn't still in the records until I pulled them up and showed him. His mother refuses to sign the papers to cut it off, even though Lock and Soo Yun have signed the papers themselves." Reaching up, he frowned and flicked the detective's nose. " Now cool it. Soo Yun likes me more than Lock, and Lock's in love with Ethan to the point where he's planning to keep him and his family in South Korea until The Surgeon is caught. He's not using him, damn it. If anyone's using anyone. you're using me!" Ellery stopped speaking as soon as those words were spoken, unsure why he'd said them. Was it the truth he didn't want to hear? The detective was just using him for Ethan, he knew that, but... did it really sound so awful out loud? The songwriter backed up a step before turning his back to the black-haired male. " You should call Mr. Byko about Miss Shell before it gets too late. I'm... I'm going to go prepare lunch for Daniel before we go out to visit his mother." Ellery faltered in his steps, almost not wanting to go. He wanted to turn and continue, tell Fredrich that it hurt seeing how he looked at Ethan, and then looked at him with those angry eyes, and that he didn't know why it hurt so much, but there was no point. " This was our plan, Advimi, there is no using anyone between us. This is strictly mutual." Ellery walked off quickly and Fredrich watched him do so. The songwriter had been acting strange lately, he wondered if it had anything to do with what Daniel said about love. Choosing to ignore the subject, he walked back to his room and get his cell phone out. He dialed the number of the one teacher and pressed it to his ear. He waited patiently then redialed when he was sent to voicemail. Voicemail again. Fredrich sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose, still agitated about Han's secret. Ethan didn't even know... If Han had any shred of dignity and self-respect then he'd at least tell the boy about it! What a despicable... Fredrich walked into the living room, pulling his black coat on. " Mr. Byko's not answering. I'll have to call him later." he announced. He's delicate, ya know!" The boy then jumped onto the chair and leaned on the table, tilting his head. " Although, he didn't start crying until he looked at his phone.
