Maple was really unclear how she found herself down in the subway. A wrong turn perhaps somewhere in her wanderings. It was dark with only a few flickering lights, dirty and vandalized. Not ideally where she could imagine she would want to go, but just about the place her luck would most likely take her.
She traveled down the tunnel with a hand on the wall, trying to navigate her way out (since going back didn't seem an option at all). The girl jumped when the lights flicked off, leaving her in darkness and despite being left in nothing she still tried to look around to get her barrings.
But when they turned back on, it was nothing by horror at every turn. Blood, disemboweled bodies - oh hecate, why did they look familiar. Oh, don't think about it. Run... run... but she couldn't

It was, at last, as she strode down the dark tunnel, that she felt something stir behind her. Stormy kept her cool as she walked, listening to the sound of heavy breathing without so much as a quirk of her brow. It was when she began to feel the moist touch of what was probably slobber that she felt incited to do something, and a clawed hand lashed out--
--to grab nothing.
She made a soft but annoyed sound, shrugging it off. Obviously she wasn't alone, but these little scare tactics wouldn't jilt her.

The lights flicked off again, taking away with it the scent of the overwhelming blood. But what they turned onto again was not what she had seen before. At first she didn't notice it, but as she moved herself back from the seemingly normal looking tunnel, her shadow seemed to be playing tricks on her.
Out of the corner of her eyes, it looked to be growing and not following her movements as a shadow was meant to. But when she turned to look at it, it would instantly seem to 'behave.' So weird... so weird... she wanted to leave.

The lights finally decided to stop playing tricks with her after a time, ending that little misery by simply flicking off and not returning on.
So she walked in silence, her arms trembling a little as she held onto the wall for safer travel. Maple stumbled a little with each step and soon what found her were whispers. All around, yet she couldn't make them out. They were most likely saying unkind things.
