Jerarda: Post 4
The older woman listened her heart lifting as the young boy described the alkidike hybrid to a T. Of course she probably should of mentioned he was of darker skin tone...darn that shifter blood causing him to switch colors. Though when he inquired about him being her boyfriend she gave a slight raise of her eyebrow and then laughed.
Okay so it may of seemed mean to laugh at the idea, but ...she couldn't help it. Perhaps she was laughing because the idea was so startling it was the only thing she could do.
"Oh no, no no, it isn't like that. He is a very good friend of mine. I am looking for him mostly because I have some information I wish to tell him. Its very important." She chuckled again wondering for a moment if the other boy who had said nothing...but instead was staring at her doe eye'd....was all there.

[Dyakida:at her stall] Ah, a voice she recognized. The man who had traded with her not too long ago. "Hello... Rastian, was it?" she hoped she was right. He had such a unique accent, she was sure it was the same man. But names were a little trickier. "I am well, I am well! My sisters are fighting in the arena, and so I do my part." she smiled pleasantly, "Of course you may." she offered forth the long pieces of carved wood, "These are an experiment on my part, I will admit." she said quietly, "So do tell me what you think..." she trailed off as she heard another familiar voice. Oh wonderful. It was biroki, the inexplicably nervous. She kept her smile on- he was, after all, Briella's friend and Zuri's husband. So she would be nice. "I did not expect you to be here, either. Are you fighting or...?" she said pleasantly enough. But all the while she really just wanted to make him bite his tongue on every stammer. She didn't know why it bothered her, but it did.

Aysun: Post 3
Aysun looked over at his quiet but starring brother before he turned to look back at the giantess before them, tilting his head to one side as she explained who the guy was to her and why she was looking to find him. It was something that made his eyes go rather wide, "Ohhhhh... information? Like the secret sort? What is it?" He gasped out, his excitement clear on his face. There had to be something amazing that this woman knew if she was going out of her way to hunt down her friend to give it to him, right?
"Is it a secret battle move? Oh! Oh! Is it the weakness of his next opponent? Oh! Is it something that only giants know?" He asked in a rush, wondering if they should be worried since the one with the antennaes was due to fight with the father next. He refused to be though, not thinking for even a moment that someone could beat their father. Naw, he was too strong for all of that, there had to be something else, some other secret that she knew, and it was killing Aysun. He just had to know!

Winta Post One
Winta had made the decision somewhat late in the game to watch the fights going on between the various competitors. When she came in the first round had already ended and the second was finishing up between most of the competitors. What ultimately led her to the decision to come was the fact that she would get to see various types of weapons in use and it couldn't hurt to see how they were actually used in combat. It's not like there was a war she could sit on in and watch the fighting. Heck, she probably wouldn't want to do that even if she could. Okay, maybe she would. The point was, she was here and ready to learn. How were the weapons fairing? Did they do the intended damage or was there a way to improve them? Her mind was enthralled with weapons and not at all with the people wielding them. She could focus on that later and in fact would. With a grin Winta made her way to the stands and found herself a spot on the left middle end of the stands. It seemed like a good place to watch from. "I wonder what's happened up to this point." Winta said out loud and then mentally kicking herself for not checking before-hand.

Ime's eyes narrowed in confusion and she turned back to the female contestant. What did cooking have to do with anything? Was cooking better than a boy enough to make them go away? She didn't get it.
"If you cook really bad, do the bad people go away?" she asked, and then her face relaxed. She realized then how rude she had been then and looked marginally distraught for a moment before her cool returned. Just let it slide by, nobody would notice.
"I'm Ime," she offered, and then tilted her head, "I don't know what I want to be. Mama says I'll probably be a 'little ruffian', whatever that is. I think I'd rather be a big ruffian." The youngling took a contented bite of her bun and kicked her feet playfully. [ post 3 ]

Jerarda Post 5
The tall alkidike woman was trying very hard not to laugh, after all being referred to as 'giant' was amusing to her. Watching the young boy as he seemed to get really excited about the idea of her knowing some secret move or knowing a secret on how to beat his next opponent.
"I know many skilled moves, I am a warrior after all." Jerarda said proudly as she stuck her thumb towards her bound chest. "But I am also honorable and it would be cheating to divulge such secrets so that my friend would win his next fight. No I have information ..." She looked about, though she didn't want to cause a state of panic...she figure the kids would probably think she was just...making something up if she dressed up her information that way.
"About the bug people." She stated sagely with a lowered voice and nod of her head.

Chandra: Post 3
His small hands clutched the globe of glass that was in his hands, trembling slightly. After all unlike his brother he was a quiet boy, and shyer than Aysurn. Though his eyes got wide at his brothers questions. She knew how....her friend could beat his next opponent? Wasn't that their dad? Worried he looked to his brother wanting to say something when the giant woman spoke again.
Blinking his eyes, they narrowed slightly...what did she think that they were just babies? Bug people? They didn't exist! Their Uncle Tak would surely know if bug people existed...after all he was scared of bugs and he was pretty sure mommy and daddy would of said something....
Leaning over to his brother he used his hand to cup his brothers ear so the woman couldn't hear him whispering to Aysurn.
"I think she is lying.."

Aysun Post 4
Aysun's eyes went rather wide when she said that she knew many skilled moves due to being a warrior, something that worried him a bit, before adding in that she was honorable and that it would be cheating to help her friend. The boy gave a sigh of relief, turning to look at Chandra and gave him and a nod, before looking back at her. He listened closely as the woman said that had other information, the sort that sounded quite important, and as she told them what it was he couldn't help but to go wide eyed, "Bug people?! Woah!" He gasped out, bouncing in place, then seemed to slow down, a bit of confusion filtering into his features.
"Umm... what are bug people? Like you? Or something else?" She kinda looked like a bug cause of the antennae and the skin color, but maybe she meant something more like Kapila? A shame she wasn't here to be used to compare things to. No matter, if they were different then the giantess before them then she was likely to tell them, right? Turning to look over at Chandra when he whispered about how the woman was lying he found himself looking between the pair of them, one ear giving a twitch, before he shook his head, "Naw, she doesn't seem like she is." Though he could be wrong... maybe she wanted to hide what her true intentions were? Still, he wanted to hear more about the 'bug people' be they fictitious or not.

[ Shirin @ the spectator stands (post 2) ]
Seeing the other girl's hesitation, Shirin wondered if she ought to apologize for interrupting. Maybe the Shifter just wanted to watch the fight in peace; it was understandable, especially if a dear friend were fighting hard in the arena. Hearing the reply and the question that followed, brief as both were, made her relax a little.
"No," the Wind girl answered, turning back to the fight with renewed interest. She might have glimpsed a couple of familiar faces here or there (she couldn't be sure), but the busy crowds hadn't offered her a chance to confirm, much less catch up with them. "Your friend will be happy to have your support, I'm sure."

Jerarda post 6
Giving a rasied eyebrow it was easy enough to figure out why she looked mildly offended at the child's comment. After all she didn't consider herself or her people bug like at all...even if the antenna gave a different impression. Though she always saw herself more like a flower...the antenna like the stamen but that was just her. She would try and ignore what the boy said and press on instead.
"I am an alkidike, a proud race of women who strive to keep balance in the world. " She corrected him wondering what the other boy had said to his brother. "The bug people are vicious...and mean. They corrupt the forest and look for little children to eat." She stated with a wiggle of her fingers to look like claws.
"So if you want to be safe you should listen to your parents and not stray far into the forest alone."

Chandra Post 4
He wished his brother would learn to be quiet, more like himself...if only because he could only gawk at him as he basically insulted the giant woman. Licking his lower lip nervously he waited for her to get angry but instead she merely lectured them. Well...that wasn't too bad he supposed.
Though her next comment about the bug people liking to eat little children only made him more suspicious. After all adults only told stories like that when they wanted kids to behave right? So there was no way it could be true.
his thumb rubbed up against the glass slowly, his menk bobbing around in its little globe.

[Hijil:Stands, next to Shirin and Winta] Hijil didn't spare the leaf girl a glance. "Yes..." she said, almost wistfully, smiling briefly before another blow made her wince in sympathy. "Is there a way to find the name of a fighter?" she asked suddenly- almost urgently- to the wind girl, "A list, maybe?"
[Biroki: Dyakida's stall] "Oh! Yes!" he said, a bit proud of himself, "I am fighting! I..." he shrunk down a little, suddenly shy, "I... might even win!" he said meekly. He looked briefly at the staffs she offered- sure, they were nice, but his was very good, thank you. He'd stick with what he knew. "Z-zuri is fighting as well, you know?" he offered, suddenly aware of the fact that he was surrounded by mostly women. Again. Oh dear. He didn't get so nervous about that anymore, but it was still a bit intimidating...
[Dyakida: at her stall] "Really." Dyakida barely hid her incredulity. She bet that Biroki would do little more than fall on his a**. Then again, he had been training. Maybe he wouldn't humiliate himself in front of her 'little helper's' eyes.
"I think it was mentioned." Zuri, now, Zuri was more likely to even fight at all, much less win it.

[ Shirin @ the spectator stands by Hijil and Winta (post 3) ]
"There's a bookie taking bets on the matches. I imagine he'd know," Shirin replied, her answer pitched so that Hijil and Winta could both hear.
Briefly taking her eyes off the fight, she scanned the stands. If the bookie or one of his underlings were in the crowd, maybe they could get a quick answer. "Are you looking for the name of your friend's opponent? Or someone else?" she asked the Shifter.

Kelina couldn't help but chuckle. She supposed the youngling wasn't and probably wouldn't be thinking about attracting a boy. "What I meant, was that even when you're fighting them. You'll want them to do what you want. You'll want them to move to the right as your attack will be more effective or trip as they're attacking so they fall on their face. The same could be said about...trying to attract a boy to get them to do what you want. Now, I'm not saying to use them for whatever you want, but some day you might want to try to attract one. Generally they're attracted to someone beautiful, which you already are so you don't need to worry about that, someone that's strong, and probably someone that can cook for them. A triple threat." She wondered if she should have just dropped it instead of probably confusing the poor girl. Post 8

Aysun post 5
Aysun starred up at her for a long moment then nodded, "I see." The description of 'proud race of women who strive to keep balance' sounded rather interesting... though it was a bit above his understanding. He didn't know what balance she was talking about but it sounded like important, complicated adult stuff. Right now Aysun wasn't so much worried about balance, instead he was more worried about other things, about his family, his brother, about Kapila, and that sort of thing. Balance in the world though, that was way to much for him, maybe when he was older it was something he would understand better he decided. The other people though, the bug people, that was something he did understand since he knew about the 'vicious and mean' things that lived in Jauhar that were of the insect variety.
"They... eat children?" He asked, taking a step closer to Chandra, as though he would be able to protect his twin brother... though he wasn't exactly the toughest guy around, still just a Youngling after all, but he would do his best to keep him safe! When the giantess told them that if they wanted to be safe that they should listen to their parents and not stray far from home he nodded his head, "Yeah, not good to stray far yet since we are still little." He agreed, they were too small to battle with the the various creatures that lived in Jauhar and Tale, the places that their parents lived, and as such sticking close to home.
Turning to look at Chandra he lifted his free hand, his Menk still in the other, so that he could pat him on the head, "It's alright, Chandra, I will keep the bug people away from you." He reassured him, taking his current silence as fear of the creature.
