"Worth a shot." She thought to herself, raising her shield to the ready. Most of the Rioushu's came then, completely surrounding her. Slowly Quint turned to keep most of them in her sights, but then they surprised her slightly by thrusting their weapons, not at her, but the ground. It was a small pause before a low rumble hit the room, it followed by another soon after.

Silently thanking Rioushu for the ice-cream, which affected her legs along with her bust, Quint leaped into the air, her bats catching the drift by forming a small pair of hard working wings and a buckler for protection. "Insurance fraud is illegal by the way..." Quint spoke in the direction of the stationary Rioushu, thinking that it could be the real one. A short moment was all that was needed to realize it more than likely a ruse.

"Each of them has a different weapon, ten fatal blows would be a guaranteed victory...Don't stay in the same place too long."

Quint looked skyward for a moment, wondering where the advice came from. It was obivous advice, but it continued to stick on the brink of her forehead, she unable to forget it if she tried.

Her bats then noticed some plaster falling from the ceiling, moving Quint out of the way forcefully, reminding her of the secondary danger. Acting quickly, Quint swung her whip, going for the lead leg of the closest Rio to her. Once the whip was secure around his leg, she yanked on the cord, pulling Rio along. She would wind up some momentum with the large ceiling that was available, and slam her former friend directly onto his back, probably breaking it. The face would have been more effective, but that would be a real mess to bring back to Roan..

The clones weren't surprised that Quint managed to avoid crashing to the ground, they were more agile than most others in the island though, losing only to Aonice and those that possessed flight, which made landing safely a simple task for each of them. They then looked up at Quint, ready for whatever the gender confused fool would try next. They weren't sure why she was attacking Rio, but their job was being fulfilled, for while the clones fought Quint down below, the real Rio was still upstairs.

Speaking of the real Rio, currently crushing the bats one by one, both freeing himself and looking for a very certain bat. He wasn't sure if his plan would work, but if it did then it would mean big trouble for Quint. As for the clones, they had grabbed onto the clone Quint had grabbed and used it as a boost to jump around her and grab onto the walls, the clone being thrown around throwing it's weapon, a twin-bladed axe, at Quint's midsection, he wasn't going to give her any breaks.

First of the many clones crashed into the ground shortly after his allies had used him to get into more advantageous positions. His axe was taken care of in quick order, Quint thrusting her body to the side to avoid the deadly weapon.

"One down.." With a crack of her whip, it once again became a solid sword, Quint using that to encounter another Rioushu, this one to the far side of the room. It was close quarters, and now the clones were spotted around the large area, so she used her time to slash at the second Rioushu with malice, attacking the torso and limbs of the possible copy.

.: Getting better bloodbound... now you're even beginning to enjoy yourself. Just think of the fun you're going to have slicing through sinew and bone to remove his head for me... its best started when your target is still alive... but of course Im getting ahead of you. Can you do it Quint? Can you kill him? Or will he kill you? Come now... fight! :.

*The voice sounded amused and as ever flittered through Quint's mind like a withering disease, leaving ashes in its wake*

The clone that smashed to the ground disappeared leaving only smoke behind, while the rest watched Quint intently with their red eyes. As soon as Quint had jumped for a second Rio however, they all pounced on her, the one she was attacking jumping over her and going for an axe kick. The real Rio had just gotten through all of the bats holding him down to the ground, smiling as he held one particular bat in his hand. "You're going to help me out, aren't you Rio?" Rioushu asked the other half of his soul.

He tilted his head to the side as he looked at the minion, wondering if his plan would work. "Alright demon, I know you can do this, so don't hold back on me, this little guy is going to be very helpful if you can do it." Rioushu said, holding the bat tightly in his hand, waiting, staring at the bat intently. Then, he smiled as he saw it, the bat was being absorb into his body, and Rio could feel the missing half of his soul returning, along with a nice chunk of his power, his clones could feel it too as she flew through the air swinging their weapons at her.

Still using her limited flight to the advantage, Quint first blocked the kick using her shield, then spun and climbed away from the many Rioushus, again taking a spot near the ceiling. Looking down for any body to make a move, she noticed how the left arm tingled a bit from the force of the blow. They were getting stronger somehow..

Quint needed to find the real one, and fast. Staring into the eyes of a clone, she noticed the fire red glare, finding the same on each of the other copies.

"Afraid to fight me by yourself!?" She yelled skyward, the booming voice easily reaching Rioushu's ears, "At least when Morrigan fought me, she had enough balls to be present with her copy!!"

Roan's question of if she could kill Rioushu or not was getting a lot easier to answer by the second. With the mental bridge that Quint shared with her bats, she recieved a message that asked for help in every language there was. Something was happening to her own supply of helpers, and that sent Quint into a rage, but not a blind gusty one. She loved her morphing friends, and to hear one be destroyed in that fashion changed the 'goodygoody' voice to a speaker that shouted for Rioushu's death.

"You damn clones..." Quint gritted, dropping her sword. Once it reached the wooden floors, Quint used a bit of her magic to make it explode, covering the ground in an intense inferno. "Go back to the soulless hell you spawned from."

Looking up, she heard yet another cry of pain, and the shield of bats routed more power into her wings, Quint using a bit of alchemy to destroy the ceiling. Thrusting onto the upper floor, the flames now licking at the hole she created, Quint spotted Rioushu actually asorbing one of her bats!

"a**!" Quint shouted, slowly stepping toward the ninja, "You just can't let it go that you lost that soul fair and square huh?" She smirked, getting into a boxer's stance. "Nevermind that now, let's end this. No copies, just you and me."

She stretched her back out, the bats getting the picture. They flew over to the far side of the room, away from Rioushu at their 'ready' phase, which were a bunch of bats. The apartment continued to burn, on the upper floor the temperature was rising. It wouldn't be long before the fire consumed the higher rooms too, so time was of the essence.

Aonice was on her way towards Rio for another one of her visits regarding his formula, curious for one if there was an opposite. She rested her hand on her hip, just above the pocket the contained the typical ninja essentials, and wore her usual black tank top and vest, along with her favorite pair of cargo shorts and s**t-kickers. She recently cut her hair short, for a more sporty, wild look, it's brushy figure bouncing around her shoulders, only to suddenly be blown behind her as a shock wave emanated from Rio's place. She blinked with surprise, and smelled the burning debris, "What the hell? " was first to escape her lips, and immediately she darted towards the burning structure.

A few moment's later, she found the place burning rapidly, fire escaping through some of the thinner walls, the front, steel door only growing hotter.. She bit her lip, now having to figure a way into this strong hold, barred windows and metal doors only made it harder to enter, but a fire of this strength would soon have the building unstable. She whipped forth her sword, and began focusing her concentration and chakra along her blade, nearing the nearest set of bars that accented his window. The pressure inside apparently wasn't enough to shatter the glass yet, but there still was no telling what the glass was made of. She focused on the small, useful techniques Gatz had taught her, and easily wiped her katana blade through the metal bars, bending them slightly as the blade pushed them aside. She immediately followed through with a higher cut, and the bars easily fell to the ground, her chakra creating a surface around her blade best measured in molecules.

A few moment's later, the sound of a wood crashing against the thick glass caught both of the fighters attention, and soon thereafter, Aonice's voluptuous figure crashed through the thick glass, the pane failed to shatter, but flying knee first, and using her signature leg strength, the entire bit crumpled forward like a car's windshield, and slid against the ground, Aonice's feet landing firmly behind it. She still held half of her staff in hand, blade distended, and looked over the bright, fiery surroundings, She could just make out the two figures across the room.. "Quint! Rio! What's going on in here?!" She asked with a few steps closer to her presumed friends. "You need'a get out'a here, the fire department will be here any second!" She yelled towards the two, holding an arm over her face to shield her sensitive blue eyes from the heat..

Quint sighed, not taking her eyes off Rioushu for a second. It had been pretty easy up until now, her taking the fight seriously enough to not screw up, but with Aonice's entrance..

"Remember when I said I was talking to Rake..?" Quint asked the female ninja, not saying anything else. She thought Aonice was a smart girl, able to figure it out without much thought.

Aonice's brow twitched, her arm still shielding her face for a few moments as she thought about what Quint said, "Your?! Your after Rio?!" She asked, just to make sure of her own assumptions, "Theres much cleaner ways of killing someone!" She advised, the sounds of sirens in the distance were fading slowly through the load roar of flames.. "Rio's stronghold is too deep in the forest for such a fire like this! I can't allow it!" She yelled at the two, then eyed Quint for a few moments longer, "And i can't allow you to kill off our other members! Even if he is annoying!" She explained once more, pointing her sword towards Quint, her eyes trembling slightly, not expecting to have to turn on a friend like this..

"I thought you considered us family!" She brought up Quint's rather deep words from just the day before, "I thought you cared enough to keep use out of your mingling with Rake!" She squeezed her eyes as a large pillar billowed at the ground behind Rio, burning debris falling with it..

"I said I considered you family." Quint emphasized, squinting her eyes. She now looked over towards Aonice, again getting some advice from beyond.

"2v1...yeesh. Go with sticking close to the slower Rioushu, using your superior strength to handle Aonice."

Sensing that Quint would need some help, they flew over to her side, transforming into layered gauntlets, light yet sturdy. Now Quint backed away from Rioushu a ways, getting a better view at both her opponent and the newcomer. It would only be a minute or two before the fire department came, but they wouldn't be able to stop the feud if they tried.

"I thought you cared enough to keep use out of your mingling with Rake!"

Chuckling a little, Quint answered the emotional Aonice, "Well, what did you think would happen if I mingled with Rake? She'd allow me to have friends, people who could be used against me for revenge?" More and more Quint thought about that situation, each time it making additional sense.

"I can't have that, so in order to protect those I care about, they must go by my hand."

Aonice blinked, it made little to no sense to her, or atleast how he was explaining it. The sirens were only growing louder with the passing time, and the building growing weaker. She would formulate a plan in her head for a stealthy, or atleast quick KO while Quint did what she did best; talk.
"So to protect those you care about, your killing them off?!" She asked curiously. Rio would make a good distraction, that was for sure, and her effortless grace and speed would easily get her behind Quint, but she'd still have to fight off those insidious bat's of hers. She carefully began to strafe to the side, getting far enough from Rio to make a good flanking position at Quint as she would answer..

"Having the high ground usually makes or breaks a fight. You can fly; they cannot."

Hopping backwards, Quint sidled to her right, away from Aonice, and closer to Rioushu. She wasn't going to be cornered so easily, and she also wasn't going to make any dumb mistakes...

Also...shut up. Banter is nice, sometimes even funny pre-fight, but doing that during one can get your teeth knocked in."

"..." Quint's stare tightened to a slit between (eye)-lashes, the room hot enough to make one sweat.

Aonice furrowed her brows, Quint had finally learned when to stop talking, or she was taking this too seriously. She glanced back at Rio, the roar of the flames began to quiet down as she zoned out the annoying crackles. She held her blade at Ready, and continued to step forward, less then about 6 yards from Quint. She took note at the ready position of her wings, and thanked the gods they were still fighting in doors.. "I'm warning you Quint. Your wings will do you no good here" She squinted her eyes as more flame busted from behind a door, "Give up now!" She yelled back at the woman before the fire grew too loud for any audible conversation, another beam soon making it's way down behind her.. It'd be a matter of minutes before the building collapsed, and more so, the helicopters would be there any minute now to deliver showers of water to the house and the remaining, burning forest outside before it spread too quickly.

Of course, Quint couldn't yield, not after all of this. The fight right now would, surprisingly to Quint, be one of a few that actually had a conclusion...

She scanned over to Aonice, noting how quick her breaths were. It was already smoky enough that some features on clothing were blurred, but thanks to Quint's mental instruction, her own breathing was shallow and slow. Combine that with her fighting stance that kept her low to the ground, and Quint had a lot more time before succumbing to the smoke and flames. It would have been easy to order her bats to create a fan to rid of the fumes, but that would have tipped Rioushu and Aonice off to her 'plan'. No, there wasn't an idea at all; she was simply riding the waves when it came to how to get Rioushu killed. However, it stayed imperative that she at least thought two steps beyond her opponents, Quint trying her best to make that so.

Rioushu yawned as he sat on the couch, currently laying down and watched the two girls squabble, Quint moving closer and further away from him. He looked around his house, shaking his head as the fire started to do some real damage. "Damn, and I was hoping not to need to rebuild for another few years, thanks a lot Quint." Rioushu complained, sighing as he sat up. "I would suggest you find a position and keep it Quint." Rioushu said, then noticed that she repeatedly changed her position to get closer to him now.

"Heh, if you're thinking about outspeeding me, I'm faster than both you and Morrigan's bats combined, it's the aerial speed that eludes us without wings, or should I say direction." Rioushu warned, though he didn't sound all that interested. In reality, he was completely alert, yet not worried, Quint had no chance to win here, and he knew it. For the first time since the fire started, Rioushu let out a cough from the smoke. "Ah, so training at the volcano did help in that respect, amazing." Rioushu said to himself. "Alright, can we start the dowsing of the fire already?" Rioushu asked to no one apparently, however what looked to be sprinklers came out of the ceilings, one appearing every four feet. As they washed over the building with water, Rioushu snapped his finger, and automatic turrets came out of the walls and pointed at Quint. "Gotta thank Gatz for the idea later..." Rioushu said to himself, then looked over to Quint. "Amateur, you never attack someone on their turf..."
