She nodded and took the key. "I appreciate it. I only wished to see if this was a gesture you truly meant, or one you offered because you felt it was expected." Arianne's lips twitched at the thought of any man being 'lust driven' for her, but she did not voice aloud the self-depreciating amusement. Besides, he could be refering to the princess. "There is, in fact, several passages stating just that. Religion is meaningful, but often repetitive." She hoped that bit of honesty would make him laugh. When he mentioned rising with the sun, she nodded. "Good, I also rise with the sun. It is required by the goddess. I hope I shall not disturb you." She tilted her head. "Of course I intend to eat. If necessary at any point, I shall help your cook in the galley."

Adrian rolled his eyes at Tahlia. Hearing about the Goddess was what he wanted to avoid. "Good. And if I felt it was expected.......I'd let you sleep in the hold. I don't do what people tell me to. And my crew wouldn't touch you. They don't hassle passengers. I was seein' what you'd do. And besides," He said giving a small smirk, "Most of 'em spent last night at the Brothel anyway." When she mentioned cooking her frowned and looked honestly, slightly worried. "You'll have to talk to Cookie, about helping in the galley. I'm not even allowed in the galley, and its my ship. That is his domain. It's entirely up to him. You can't miss him. Fat man, scar right next to his left eye, and usually has a kitchen knife the size of a machete."

Arianne tilted her head at being outmanuvered, and gave a nod. "Well played. I didn't think your crew was the type, but one mustn't make assumptions." At his comment about the brothel, she laughed. "As pirates are wont to do, I suppose." She refrained from commenting on how many times she'd made friends with a madam by playing cards with her while one of the madams girls entertained her father. Of course, at the time she hadn't known that was what was occuring. At the comments about Cookie, she gave a chuckle. "Oh, I would offer him no more help than he wished. I won't force my way into his galley, only tell him that my hands are here to help if he ever wishes it. And very distinctive, I'm sure I'll find him in the morning."

Adrian nodded, "You don't want to keep the Princess waiting. She might think, I'm trying to detain you. She's going to have to get over that attitude of hers. Especially on board my ship." He said before turning to look back out at the sea. "I pity you though. You have no free will. Your Goddess tells you what to do. The temple tells you what to do. The Princess even tells you what to do. I couldn't handle not having my freedom."

Arianne nodded her head, turning away, but his last statement made her pause. "My freedom died with my father." Closing her eyes a moment and remembering her father, Arianne sighed, and followed Adelaide down into the ship, sure this would be a restless night for her.

Adelaide had escorted Arianne to Adrian's cabin and when her friend walked in, she shut and locked the door. This was a pirate ship after all, caution was needed, at least that's what the princess thought. She took her armor off, and placed the shield down softly next to her armor, sighing. "There is only one bed, so you can have it. I'm fine sleeping sitting, or on the floor." She smiled softly, trying to be nice to make up for not agreeing with the captian on many things.

Arianne crossed her arms nad raised her eyebrow at her friend. "Must you be so antagonistic to them? They've done nothing wrong. If anything, they've done us a favor, taking us somewhere so dangerous." Arianne frowned and shook her head, glancing at the bed, which was more of a wooden box on the floor with bedding within. Presumably the most stable form of bedding on a ship. "It's a large, bed, we'll both fit. I won't have you sleeping on the floor."

Adelaide blinked and stood with a hand on her hip. "Am I honestly getting scolded for being weary and cautious of people I not only know, but acting out at a man who was upsetting you?" She looked a little upset, but shook her head. "I can't . . . alright." She said, walking over to it and sighing.

"I-" Sighing, she pushed her hand through her hair. "I'm sorry, I suppose I'm on edge as well." Arianne glancing around the cabin. "I just know that challenging pirates in their domain is never a good idea. I do appreciate the rescues though." Truth be told, Arianne had regretfully enjoyed getting mad. She hadn't allowed herself any outlandish emotions in a while, so getting to match wits with Captain Adrian had released some side of her she thought she'd destroyed. Arianne sat down at the table, noticing Adelaide seemed uncomfortable. "I'm sorry, I made an assumption. If you aren't comfortable sharing a bed with me, I'll sleep on the floor. Holy knight or not, you are a princess, and I'll not sleep in a higher quality bed than the princess."

Adelaide nodded. "I'm just trying to be a good knight is all. It's not that I'm not comfortable with it. I mean, how many times would I try to follow you to your bed when we were younger." She nervously laughed it off, before getting into the box full of bedding. This was going to be a long night for Princess Adelaide.

Arianne smiled softly. "Every time it stormed, but we both know that was more for my sake than yours." Arianne had bad memories associated with storms that, while surmountable, had proved difficult to handle during her childhood. Arianne remained at the table, and glanced out at the sea. "I-" Now that Adrian had guessed her past, Arianne had a moment where she felt an extreme urge to tell Adelaide about her past. But what if she shunned her? After all, what princess would want to associate with the daughter of a privateer?

Adelaide smiled fondly. "I never minded. I wasn't allowed to have slumber parties. Those days were the closest I had to a normal childhood." She laughed it off and noticed her friend seemed a bit off. "Are you alright?"

Arianne smiled at that, thinking of her own slumber parties as a small child- with gruff privateers drinking from a tiny china set her father had... liberated for her. It had been left in her fathers one house on land, but no one could tell her where the house was, and she couldn't remember. "I.." She glanced over at her, and tilted her head. "What's your opinion on pirates and privateers?"

Adalaide shrugged. "Not sure. I mean this is my first encounter with them and if I based it on that I'd say I didn't like them too much. Though, if I remember what my dad would tell me, not all of them are horrible. So my opinion is they are necessary. And don't tell anyone I said this, but they are all lucky. They can be free, on the ocean with people they learn to trust and care about. That's more than I can say for me. I'm trapped, and item of trades and treaties and I have to deal with people I couldn't stand, if I wasn't a knight that is." She smiled at Arianne, hoping she had an opinion she was looking for.

"Hm.." Arianne glanced out the window, frowning to herself, before tilting her head. "In your lessons on ruling, and between the things your brothers speak of, have you ever heard of Captain Rocio? The privateer?" While the questions might seem weird, Arianne often tested the conversational waters before deciding what to say, or how to say something.
