His mind wandered a bit, and he looked away to cover his emotions. "She's doing well I think. She has a house in a nearby town." He sighed a bit and turned around. "Is everything okay?"

"Funny you should ask," she said dryly. "This have been going alright. I've become sort of a drifter. No real home." she pulled her legs up onto the couch and leaned back into the cushion. "Its been a long hard couple of years. I had to get rid of a great deal many things of mine to keep making my way. Times are tough, lately." She sighed and gave a helpless little laugh. "I ran out of things to keep me going. So I came back here, hoping there was something for me to make off with so I could eat again tonight." she shrugged deprecatingly.

Kara Darkholm "Funny you should ask," she said dryly. "This have been going alright. I've become sort of a drifter. No real home." she pulled her legs up onto the couch and leaned back into the cushion. "Its been a long hard couple of years. I had to get rid of a great deal many things of mine to keep making my way. Times are tough, lately." She sighed and gave a helpless little laugh. "I ran out of things to keep me going. So I came back here, hoping there was something for me to make off with so I could eat again tonight." she shrugged deprecatingly. "Hmm, you and Dio should talk. He had about the same luck. Well, I have this floor and the basement up and running. There is food stocked in some of the kitchens. Hot water in the communal baths, and guest bedrooms on the first floor." He shrugged a bit. "Most of the valuables are gone or locked away, so I wouldn't waste my time, but you're family and this is your home."

Her eyes grew hungry, "I'd give my right arm for a shower right about now. I'm rank from all this travelling." She smiled at him. "Its good to be home. I'm hoping I can call this place home again..."

Kyrai smiled at her enthusiasm. "Well, me casa eh su casa. Like I said, Yadi isn't staying here, but Dio's been crashing here for a few nights, so as long as you don't mind living with a bunch of boys."

"It'll be like living with the kits again." she grinned. "Anyway, I'm going to take a shower and I'll probably be a bit. Be back down after I've turned myself into a prune." then she laughed and headed in the direction of the shower.

Kyrai sat staring up at the ceiling for a while. The whirl of cleaning robots and repair droids caused a white noise that was a deafening as it was forgettable. His mind was racing a mile a moment. First Dio and Yadi, then Kara.
He couldn't remember the last time the place had seen this much activity. Still, it felt very empty. They had all come back, but they still seemed so far away. So, much had changed. They had changed, and he had stayed the same. Kyrai gave a sigh and stood up. Walking over to the window, he took a seat at Kyle's old spot. Last night had been okay, though. They had talk about their first kiss, and for a moment, things had felt like they were together again. Even if it had been in secret, he had always felt that he belonged to her.
He sighed again and opened the window. Fresh air filled the room and helped him cleared his head. Still, she had stayed on his mind. Nights spent cuddling in her room. Sure, he had been a fox for most of that, but that didn't take away the how the special the moments had to been.
Kyrai continued to sit there staring out into the night air.

Kyrai walked slowly through the front doors. His clothes were torn and his body was covered in cuts and bruises. He sighed softly and walked towards the fire stairs that lead to his living quarters. The Elevators were still on the fritz and wouldn't go to the basement.
Kyrai's leather boots made very little sound on the hard concrete floors. He gave a brief sigh as he crossed the threshold into his room. He dropped a small duffle bag by the door and peeled his sweat and blood soaked shirt, throwing it on the floor. After a brief shower, he tended and bandaged wounds. None of them were lethal, but they were painful, and they would slow him down.
He knew that, with people returning, this place would become a target again. He just didn't expect it to start up so soon. Those demons had been looking for something, or someone. Kyrai hadn't seen them take anything, so he had followed them into the woods. That's were the ambush had taken place. He had barely gotten away with all of his limbs still attached.
Kyrai rubbed his shoulder gingerly, and headed back up stairs to the lobby.

Yadi stepped into the lobby of GIT, her hands tangled in her hair as she let the ponytail she had been wearing lose. Her hair cascaded down her shoulders and to the middle of her back, framing her face and covering her shoulders. She glanced around for a moment while putting the elastic on her wrist. It was quiet, no one seemed to be around. She felt so weird waking up in a random room days before when she had passed out. She pouted in discontent as she thought about it. Falling asleep in a room with two guys she hadn't seen in years.
That was kind of embarrasing.
She walked to the couch parallel to the sliding doors and let herself fall on it with a long sigh. It was nostalgic...she almost forgot how comforting the couches were. She fell asleep there surrounded by people she loved so many times before.
Putting her feet up on the couch and her head on a cushion that sat against the armrest, she laid down and stared up at the ceiling. Her mind wandering as she unconciously played with the elastic on her wrist.

Kyrai walked comfortably into the GIT lobby. He hadn't seen anyone in a while, but the place was looking almost brand new. He felt pride about what he and Dio had done. Kyrai still had the remnants of a black eye from the fight he had been in a couple of nights ago, and a bit of gauze could be seen from under his shirt.
Still he didn't let it bother him. He was in a good mood today. He had just gone grocery shopping. Which meant good food in the house without Dio being able to eat it all yet. His victory still sweet, Kyrai had made himself a rather impressive sandwich.
Then, he saw her. It really was a good day. He walked over and sat down in a chair next to her couch, and waited to be noticed.

Yadi snapped out of her daydream as she saw someone move closer out of the corner of her eye.
Lifting herself on her elbows as if she was suntanning, she recognized the familiar green haired guy as he took a sit near her.
"Hey stranger." She smiled as she sat up. "You don't look so good." She couldn't help but add noticing his slightly bruised skin as she leaned against the side of the couch, her legs crossed slightly next to her. Her elbow was now propped up on the arm rest and her other hand was playing with the small silver chain on her ankle.
