In my opinion, one active English speaker in the guild is enough to make the 'official guild events' bilingual. Otherwise we shouldn't accept non-Finnish-speakers here.
About the amount of English speaking memebers... I'd say max 10, but others than Metlet haven't been very active here... 'til now, of course! heart

The new announcement 'Killan syyssiivous' is about cleaning up this guild. It's about going through and updating the sticky threads, links, rules, closing some of the threads with the same topic, reminding inactive members about the guild and so on.

Oh well... I guess we really should make at least synopsis in english within most threads.
Also, nothing prevents you to set up few threads in english too... Everyone here should know enough english to attend wink
Unless you want to start an intensive Finnish learning wink

Yeah... I just read interesting article, written by person who teaches Finnish daily, about this so called difficulty. She made the conclusion, that Finnish is just different, but when one gets over that, it's no harder than most languages.

Hee hee...We should start a Daily Finnish Lessons -thread, we could take turns and teach the English-speaking something every day smile like some basic words and stuff, anyone still interested? blaugh Btw My name's Annina and I just joined the guild after hearing about it at the New years event.

I have an excellent little thing about Finnish grammar cases in English.. Written by one of my friends to my another friend who wanted to learn Finnish. biggrin So, if we ever make a thread about Finnish grammar/words/etc. I'll try to post it there. smile
