Kilian
Kilian had underestimated the sand storm. It seemed much stronger than a normal one and it was beating him back. With his arm over his eyes he trudged forward, cursing himself for not being able to make it through easier. Amadia growled low in her throat as she covered her face with one of her wings. Even the storm was beginning to be too much for her.

A loud noise, coming from the direction of the Dovaa camp caused Kilian to falter. He turned to see what the commotion was about. In between the billows of sand he saw a giant Peisio dragon hovering above the camp. Was that the Dovaa leader? Kilian's eyes widened as the creature gripped a gray dragon soul in it's claws and crushed it. "s**t." He cursed as he took off running further into the sand storm, Amadia close on his heels.

Kilian wasn't fast enough, though. The Dovaa leader used the power of the Ayrala dragon souls to beat back the storm. He should have known something would have been done about the storm. He threw himself to the ground and covered his head as best as possible. Amadia crawled up next to Kilian and he threw his arm over his Drakein. He would not loose her in this. There was nothing for him to do but wait for the two warring storms to pass.

Araceli
Araceli clung to Toki's side as the sounds of battle continued on the outside. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. Her skin tingled as she felt the magic of an Ayrala dragon soul being released. She sucked in her breath. It was a powerful soul harnessed by a powerful dragon. Was that Marcus? Her curiosity took her over. With a bit of force she managed to force Toki to part his wings. "I must see what's going on." Ara said to the drakein, hoping that he'd cooperate with her. Her height, however, prevented her from seeing too much of anything yet again.

Her mind worked quickly, this time, however. Ara looked over at Toki and tilted her head. "Do you mind if I climb on to you?" She asked. It was the best way she could think of that would enable her to see things better.

Toki felt Araceli climb up and try to open his wings to look out. Fool child! But if that was what she wanted. He felt and heard more magic, greater magics than the earlier one. Someone was a very strong mage, he thought to himself as he heard Araceli ask to climb up him. Sure, why not? He felt the sensations of the wind and sand stop. Well, at least is was safe for her to emerge. And he chuckled as he realized why she wanted up. To see of course! Such a small person would have difficulty seeing over his bulk or any crowd!
"Of course, Araceli. I don't mind at all. Just don't trip and fall against my spines, you'll hurt yourself."

~~~~
Kadryn heard the sandstorm approach and stayed inside the tent until she felt it pass. Once she stepped outside and say the white flags waving, she realized something very odd was in the wind. It'd been so long that all 3 leaders had been at war or at least not happy with each other, and a temporary truce was unheard of.
"You're right, Maslin. We do have something more important to worry about. Wonder what happened to cause the truce..." She looked over at Maslin, "I'm going to go find out what it's about. Wanna come along?" She asked.
Tilawen (i am going to have her get stuck anyway XD)
As they moved a serious sand storm seemed to come of no where, using a sleeve to cover her mouth and nose she was squinting, the trail ahead became almost non-existent and she was groping around with her staff. Her cheeks stung from the sand and for awhile she had to stop walking and try and find Junjie. Blinking as she realized that she wasn't moving forward anymore. Sand was gathering at her legs and slowing her down, she felt panic as she noticed that she was actually stuck in place.
When the sand died down she was stuck and trying to turn her body to look for Junjie. Where was he? Panic set in quickly, she didn't want to lose him too.
Hearing what Tila was saying about 'losing him' he gave a shake of his head, hands tightening on his staff, and it was all he could do to keep his wings from bursting free from their hiding spot due to all of his roiling emotions, "Even so we are going to find him!" He said, not wanting to just give up and go back. He would keep going forward, damn it, and he would figure out where that strange being had carried his friend off to! He wasn't about to let him do to Rio what he'd tried to do to the Dovaa woman back in camp. He was going to make up for his failure to keep her safe in the figure place. That thing, that... creature, he'd taken her and despite being closer to her then anyone he had failed to help. It was a feeling he didn't care for, "We have to keep going if we want..." The rest of what he was saying was cut off as the two of them found themselves caught up in the sand storm but something else as well, strong magic from the feel of it, that caused the entire world to seem to consist of only sand for a time.
When it started to die down again he opened his eyes, realizing that he'd some how gotten himself buried in the sand, not too bad but he could feel it piled up on top of him. He was glad he'd been able to pull his cloak around himself at the last momet as it saved him from being buried in a more exposed manner. It also allowed him a pocket of air that wasn't completely filled with dirt, "Ick... this is reminding me too much of that Firani hunt..." He muttered, only hiding under the sand wasn't his idea this time.
Letting his brightly colored eyes sink shut he set to casting a spell, one that took a moment to get going, before some scraggly old roots came to his call for vines, aiding him in pulling at least his top half free of the sand though he knew he'd need to dig himself out the rest of the way. Once he'd surfaced with the help of the scraggly vines he threw back his sand covered hood, coughing for a moment, before looking around for Tilawen, hoping that she wasn't as bad off as he'd been for a moment there. Upon spotting her he gave a smile before he looked down at the sands, "Doesn't seem like that guy appreciates us following after him." He muttered before he dragged his staff out of the sand, laying it in front of himself instead of leaving it have buried, "Need to dig ourselves out then we will... I don't know, try to figure out where he was going." The sand storm was sure to have erased all tracks, scents, and the other things one normally used to track, but they would find a way to get back on the guy's trail, even if it didn't exist anymore. First though he had to dig himself out.
Giving a bit of a sigh Junjie set to doing just that, using his hands to dig, trying to get his lower half unburied enough so that he would be able to drag himself out and then go and aid Tilawen if she was in need of assistance, "How are you doing? How deep in the sand are you?" He asked as he continued to dig, kind wishing he had some sort of spell for moving earth but he was sure that was more of a Gaili thing then a Ysali thing.
Eku felt amazing now after seeing Esmeralda and knowing that she is safe too. He had the energy and drives to brave through the strong sand storm before him as he and Vilzun was struck by the powerful storm. It did knock him down at bit but the Keindred had given him the support to go through it to be with everyone. The mage wondered how Kilian was doing through this and where he was now. It did make him worried but he is a strong guy in seeing his appearance and also he is not alone for he has Amadia.
Soon, a miracle occurred for the storm has died out. He shook his head to clean out any of the sand that has covered him and looked to see the damage around him and also better seeing what is around him. From above, he saw the dragons flying but that was only for a brief moment when he heard voices nearby as he looked around to see who it was. And his eyes widen to see that the one who spoke was in fact Junjie. He’s all right too! Well somewhat for he was trapped in the sand and along with a woman too; she appeared to be an Oblivionite but has horns of a Dovaa. “Junjie!” The mage called out to him as he ran up to him to see if he was all right. “Vilzun, ya be helpin’ out de womon dere.” He commanded his Drakein and he ran off to see her to while he kneeled down in front of him as his scepter was placed down to his side. “Don’t ye worry, I be diggin’ ya out.” He buried his hands in the sand and helped with the digging while looking up to see the Ysali Hybrid with a smile on his face. “Why do we be meetin’ like dis with danger Junjie?” He joked for it was almost funny to him actually.
Grumbling as everyone seemed to leave him behind with the approaching storm. Uassae turned to cover some of the smaller Dovaa in the field. He wasn't sure how many he could provide coverage for. Especially with such a powerful storm approaching. Snarling under his breath, shivering from the distress of Erionda's kidnap Uassae glanced over towards Abellio. It was strange the Keindred was still with him. Probably given the same directions to protect others, the large Drakein assumed. Sneezing as the sand began to thicken he closed his eyes with the first layer of skin. A way to protect his eyes and still be able to see.
Turning his head Uassae was surprised to notice the chance in one of the Dovaa. He had taken on a dragons form! Was everyone as skilled as him? Could Erionda complete a transformation like that? Uassae shook his head. Impossible. His young companion wasn't even able to summon her wings yet. Why would she be expected to take on a dragons form.
Lanzecki whined. The noise rising until it turned into a howl. Part of him was able to summon small amounts of magic. Small amounts of wind to lessen the striking pain of the grains against his hide. The separation from Erionda pulled at him. Without help, he wasn't Drakein enough to challenge the creature that had taken Erionda with it. He wasn't stupid enough to go lumbering off alone without help.
Once the storm had died away enough others could bare it. Lanzecki nudged Uassae. "Erionda. Please Erionda." Lanzecki muttered. Shifting his head from Uassae. Towards the direction Alpha had stolen his bonded. His tail thumping the ground impatiently. Trotting up to Abellio alarmingly quick. "Hurry! Hurry!"
Uassae turned to sniff in the direction had taken off in. "They might have gotten stuck out there. Magesc knows only Galli and Kiandri know how to survive this kind of weather. We can only hope that Erionda hasn't been hurt. You're right lets go."
His wings flicked twice to dislodge any loose sand before he raced towards Rio's friends. Tilawen and Junjie had taken off first. Likely they would be closer to the enemy than anyone else would be.
His strides in the desert sands didn't take him long before he came upon the first odd clump. Tilting his head to the side Uassae pawed gently at the strange coloration's of black, yellow and silver. Leaning forward to sniff Uassae immediately backed away. This thing smelled much to familiar. Reminding him faintly of the dusted Oblivionite who had been lingering around lately. Nasty tricky Oblivionites. He thought.
The moment the strong winds started to kick up Abellio was crouched low, pulling his cloak over himself and the girl that he was supposed to be guarding. Junjie had told him to protect her and he would! Though for the moment the best he could was to shield her from the worst of the sands that were whipping around and hopefully keep things from getting worse around her. Only when the winds die down again did he come out from under his cloak, shaking it off, and checked on the girl once more. She seemed to be... well... in about the same condition as before, alive but unconscious, a little bit more sandy then she had been but he was able to protect her from the worst of it.
Looking around he tried to figure out what everyone else was doing, it seemed that everyone was going after Erionda, weren't they? Junjie and Tila had already gone... so was the one with the silver hair, Kilian he believed his name was, and even Eku and Vilzun. Why was he stuck here? When Lanzecki came rushing over to him, telling him to 'hurry, hurry' in such an alarmed tone he shifted in place. What should he do? He was told to stay here... but he couldn't just stay here. He wanted to go to Junjie, wanted to make sure that he was still alright after such a sand storm. He looked around, over to Esmeralda, and he lifted up on his back legs, his small feathered wings flapping, "Esme! Esme! Watch girl?" He asked, giving the one at his feet a glance, "Abellio go. Go Jun!" He told her, he needed to find Junjie!
Dropping back to all fours he hurried after Lanzecki and Uassae, determined to find his Junjie and Tila, make sure they were alright, then they would find where that monster had taken Erionda! It was the perfect plan in his young mind and he saw no reason why it shouldn't go swimmingly! So long as he found Junjie and Junjie was alright then everything was going to be alright, Junjie would know what to do! Or at least that was what Abellio thought, thinking Junjie the most amazing person ever! Likely biased ingrained into him since Junjie was the first person he'd seen when he hatched and he'd been with the hybrid ever since. In his mind nobody was smarter or stronger then Junjie, as such he would fix everything! Looking at Lanzecki he said in an assuring way, "Jun find Erionda!" He was sure of it!
Kilian
Amadia twitched at the sound of movement around them. She slowly came back to consciousness and felt the heavy weight of sand surrounding her. Kilian's arm was no longer around her. She growled as she struggled in the sand, trying to free herself. Finally, the tip of her nose broke free and she wiggled her head out from the sand. She blinked a few times and shook her head. When her eyes opened Erionda's two drakein, Lanzecki and Uassae, were standing near by. Amadia pulled herself out the rest of the way and laid on the sandy surface for a few seconds, catching her breath. As a Kiandri drakien she fared rather well in sand storms. This one, however, had been very unnatural. Magics had been at work.
She looked around, finally, for Kilian. When she realized that he wasn't in her sight she let out a keening sound. "Kilian!" She roared as she got up and sniffed around for him. Not far from where she had surfaced she saw a piece of his clothing sticking up from the ground. She let out a snort and ran over to the spot and began digging. "Must get him out! We must hurry. Erionda needs help!" She growled as her claws dug into the sand around Kilian.
Araceli
"I'll be alright." Ara said in response to his warning. She may be a girl but she loved to climb on things. Finally, after a bit of a struggle she was on top of the drakein's back. Her view was much better now that she was up higher. The Dovaa girl looked around at the camp and saw many Dovaas removing themselves from the sand that had accumulated. Ara also noticed that the monstrous thing that had caused her fright earlier was now gone.
"That...thing...is gone Toki. What should we do?" Araceli bit her lip as she thought about the pain and chaos it had caused. Something had to be done. Would others go after the monster too? Would she have to give chase? She would if ordered to do so. With Toki by her side she'd be alright. But would he stay with her? She wasn't sure. He had no ties to her. They had just met. She wouldn't blame him if he didn't want to get caught up in all this mess.
Ara's gaze followed the upturned heads of all the Dovaa below. High up, a white flag with a shield rose from the main tent. "That flag..." She'd learned what it meant in school. Marcus was calling for help. For a sort of temporary truce.
Uassae watched at the smaller Keindred approached him and proceeded to dig. Then telling him what he needed to do. Didn't the silly youngling already see that's exactly what he was doing? Flashing his neck-plate irritably Uassae promptly returned to digging Kilian out of the sand. Pressing his muzzle against the two legged being's clothing until he could grip a decent amount into his teeth. With a large heave of his wings. Uassae fought to pull out the Oblivionite from above while Lanzecki struggled to shift the sand about with both claws. Using his skills in the wind to hold the sand back from piling into the hole they were creating. It took what felt like several painful hours before Uassae felt the sand give way and Kilians body was wrenched free from the sand.
Setting him down, Uassae nudged him onto his side. Hoping to get the male moving. A pain across his right side and back was echoed by Lanzecki. It was if something had collided with their sides simultaneously. Hissing his pain Uassae's head turned towards the direction Alpha had taken Erionda. It felt like the pain had come from her! Had she been tossed somewhere? Flapping his wings Uassae impatiently waited for Kilian to gain control of himself and rise from the ground.
Kilian
Amadia whimpered as Kilian was pulled from the sand. She gently nudged his face, willing him to awaken. How long had they been under there? How long could he survive buried under the sand? "Kilian." She said as she nudged his cheek again.
Kilian groaned, the heavy feeling of sand having left his body. He then felt a nudge at his face. Opening his eyes slowly he saw Amadia standing before him. "You're alright." He muttered as he reached his hand out to his drakein. Taking a deep breath, he sat up. He shook his head to dislodge the sand stuck in it.
"Erionda!" Amadia said quickly. Kilian's eyes widened as he looked around, hoping to see her. Sadly, she wasn't there but her drakeins were. "Uassae, Lanzecki." Kilian whispered. "Thanks, for digging me out." He pushed himself up from the sandy ground and grunted at the stiffness of his muscles. That sand had sure done a number on him. "Lets get going! We've gotta find Erionda!"
Junjie paused in his digging when he heard a familiar voice calling out to him, one that caused him to lift his head, eyes going rather wide, "Ahh... Eku?" What was Eku doing here he found himself wondering, trying to piece it together but decided that he wasn't going to question such a lucky meeting with him. Glancing over toward Tilawen, who was being aided by Vilzun, he gave a bit of a smile, "Thank you, both of you." The winds had been way too strong enough so that it was able to bury them, he could only hope that the others back at the camp were alright after all of that. He glanced in that direction a moment then back to the situation at hand. He needed to get himself out of the sand or else he wasn't going to be able to help anyone, he had to concentrate on the here and now, then he could concentrate on everything and everyone else.
As he started to dig once more as well alongside Eku he gave a bit of a smile, the best one that he could muster given the situation, "Yeah... next time we should just meet for tea or something, instead of in the midst of whatever dangerous situation has cropped up." He said as he reached for his staff, planting it deep in the sand and used it to drag himself forward out of the heavy sand before he flopped over on his side, laying there a moment, then sighed, "Ow..." That wasn't in any way, shape, or form pleasant he thought to himself, making a bit of a face before he slowly sat up, eyes sinking closed for a moment. He debated for a time if he needed healing but decided against it. It was likely mostly going to be road rash and bruising, nothing he should waste hsi energy on when there was still that strange... thing that was out there somewhere in the desert that needed to be dealt with.
"Phew... thanks... alright, we need to dig Tila out so we can get going. Some... thing, I don't know what to call him, he took my friend... we need to find him." He said to Eku before he wobbled his way over to Tila, giving her a smile, "We are gonna get you out, alright? You hurt?" He asked as he started to dig around her, worry on his face. He didn't want her to be hurting and he would be only too happy to offer his powers up to her to heal any wounds that she might have. They needed everyone to be ready for... well, the thing that they were gonna be facing. There was no 'if' about it, he wouldn't let himself start to doubt their chances of finding the strange mish-mashed monster hybrid. No, they would find him, they would take back Erionda, and then... well... he wasn't sure what. That guy was dangerous but it wasn't up to him what happened to him, he didn't want it to be, he'd leave those sorts of decisions to those in charge. All he cared about was finding his Erionda and getting all of his friends safely away from that guy before any of them could try to jump them again.
*****
Abellio stayed alongside Lanzecki and Uassae, watching them as they dug up the Oblivionite from the sands, one that he recognized, and his tail gave a slight swish. Good, this meant that they had more help when it came to finding Junjie, Tila, and Erionda he thought to himself before he gave a tail swish, smiling as the guy was saved good. Though the moment that he thought that things were going well Uassae and Lanzecki seemed to suddenly get assaulted by pain, something that caused him to give a little whine of worry, head tilting to one, "Uassae... Lanzecki?" He murmured, wondering if they were going to be alright to continue. Should they stay here? Should he look after them? But what about others? It seemed that Uassae was ready to go though, once Kilian was able to get himself back on his feet that was.
Turning his attention to the Oblivionite he watched him through wide, teal eyes, and just waited. He took in the way that Kilian moved, the way he seemed to be in pain, and he gave a little whimper, "Kilian hurt?" He asked, then said, "Jun fix!" Junjie had fixed others in the past, surely he could fix Kilian? Though it meant finding Junjie first. Hopefully Junjie and Tilawen would be in the same direction as Erionda. He wasn't sure about the others but Abellio would feel much better if they were all together, then maybe they would be safer that way? It was what he hoped for at least.
Agniri
Agniri had been fortunate to be sheltered from the worst of the sandstorm. Several of the feral drakein around her were skilled in repelling the sand on the ground which had meant the keindred had never been in any true danger of being harmed. The strong winds had however deposited a sufficient amount of sand upon the Firani drakien's feathers before it had been calmed. It made her feel itchy and heavier than usual prompting Agniri to do a full body shake to try and rid herself of the gritty debris. A proper preening would have to be done later.
For now Agniri was sticking with her sort of temporary pack and advancing forward to see just what had caused the magescans to stop fighting. Normally quite biosterous and full of daring Agniri was cautious here. She had seen the two legger take dragon form and use a magic for stronger than any in her clan, even her mother, possessed. The fighting had stopped but this was still a dangerous place to be.
Maslin
"I suppose so, I can't do anything more for them" he nodded back toward the patients still lying on the beds, "right now." Pain management and further healing spells would need be doled out on an hourly basis and there were healers who would stay in the camp to do so. Maslin would prefer to stay near Kadryn now that he'd found her in all this madness. Even a small bit of familiarity and reliability was worth clinging to in his opinion.
Lazuli, who had weathered the storm and used his body to shelter those who could not move out of it's way, gave a whistle of agreement. "Yes, I will come too Kadryn." He did not want to be left behind and with so many strange things going on he did not want to lose sight of his bonded.
Akilae
For the most part Akilae had been focused on doing his job, he could hear people running about and talking about strange things but could not pay full attention to that. Even comments abut some sort of murderous hybrid on the loose int he dovaa camp had not dragged his eyes of the battlefield. If he and his friends were to get out of this in one piece he needed to put his all into using his skills to the best of his ability. The head of each arrow was coated in the strongest poison made from ysali magic and animal venoms as he had prepared. Even if an arrow missed it's mark and hit a non vita area Akilae was still doing damage and possibly debilitating the enemy shortly thereafter. The speed that blood pumped when you were fighting helped carry poison through a persons system faster than normal. It was strange in a way that a bodily reaction designed to help keep you alert and in peak fighting form could also swiftly kill you.
When the sandstorm had come Akilae had curled into a ball with his cape acting as a sort of protective tarp, shielding him from the wind and sand. He did not come out, even when around him he could hear faint gasps and mentions of dragon transformations. Only when the wind died down did he uncurl himself and reemerge. His lower half was partially buried in wind blown sand, although it was not so bad that he could not pull himself out of it.
With only a small amount of swearing Akilae recovered his shoes which had remained in the sand. He frowned as several of his comrades began to head towards the dovaa camp, talking about truce and aid. Whatever was going on his superiors would want to know about it. Still, it did not look like Verali had any intention of leaving the battlefield, content to wait out the talks amongst the other warriors. He hated to leave her behind but with limited Onyx eyes every deployed in situations like this it was up to those who normally fought to gather information as well.
Once he and his shoes were free of the sand Akilae began to jog towards the dovaa camp.
Tilawen
Being stuck in the sand and missing her friend it was causing her to panic. The poor red head didn't know what had happened to Junjie, was he suffocating in the deep sands? What if he was blown off course? Now lost wandering through the wasteland of dessert? For a moment her entire focus was stuck on getting out of her sand pit and searching the dessert for the hyrbid. Though she was...'friends' with Eironda, she had..more of a connection with Junjie. Probably due to the fact she had spent more time with him than Eironda.
Still it had taken her several moments to realize that...someone was helping her out of the sands and when she did realize it she flinched and half turned to see who it was...and upon not recognizing the young drakien she wanted to smack it on the snout with her staff. Instead....she only stared at it and then returned to help it help her out of the sand. If it was going to dig her out ...then she would allow that.
In her distracted state she didn't register someone walking up to her, or even speaking to her. It took her a moment before she finally was jolted into stopping her own frantic attempts to get herself out of the sand to then stare blankly at Junjie. He...was okay, and not just okay he was out of the sand. Not lost or buried as she had feared. Rather than looking relieved she looked...positively irritated. Not with him of course...but herself, how she had let herself become to ...panic driven was embarrassing.
"Thank you..." she began with a slow nod of her head as the two of them helped dig her out of the sand. Once free she stood up, looking about and feeling more irritated now that ..they lost the creature that held Eironda captive.
"Now...what do we do? ....it is gone."
