Pompeii was able to continue to dodge the youma's deadly hooves but she wasnt able to get enough room to get to her feet and dust it. After a moment of getting dirtier and dirtier rolling to avoid the stomping youma it got distracted. Long enough for Pompeii to scramble far enough away to get into crouch and start on a plan to dust the damn thing.
Pompeii was searching the ground looking for something, anything to use when movement drew her attention once more to the horse youma. It was bearing down on a young man who had tripped. Now it was a race! who would reach the boy first, the youma or the knight. Quite literaly by the skin on her knees Pompeii scraped by the youma to push the boy out of the way and grab the attention of the damn thing again. "What are you a freaking Kelpie or something?" She cursed at it as she dodged its snaping teath. "Don't make me turn you into glue."

Captain Richterite groaned as he pushed himself up, brushing a bit of dust and debris off of his coat as he did so. He stretched, feeling everything shift back into place, a few things cracking which brought about a groan.
Flexing his shoulders he called his cards back to his hand, making sure they were all present and accounted for before looking for his next target.

Stumbling back, Ida thanked her stars that the maneuver had actually worked. With one hand pressed to her chest over her bow, she worked to catch her breath as she took up a defensive posture.
"I guess I just don't know when to quit... And if it takes my life to save the lives of the people you hurt? I'd call it a fair trade." She said, still trying to get her equilibrium back. It was... traumatizing to see someone's hand in your chest and even now, she was visibly trembling. Despite that, though, she stood strong and made no move to back down.
Lower-ranked officer or not, this one was giving her a heck of a time. If this was what they were putting out for first level officers, her group was going to have to step up their game if they didn't want first level senshi falling like flies.
Opal laughed at the senshi's very foolish determination. She wasn't really helping anything but she just didn't see it. Just to taunt the poor girl she caught some random sod and drained him of energy right before her opponent's eyes, all the while never letting her gaze sway from burning into Ida's.
Effective this senshi was not. Total: 175 Starseeds: 2
The scout was getting away, and the cat was still far too close. Schörl snatched the arm of a passing teen, hauled hard on their weight and flung their momentum into a stumbling flailing body at the general direction of the lion. Better to have some bodies and therefore distractions between herself and it. It looked like the scout was making a beeline for the exits, though. Faint and foolish of heart, she was not worth the time, effort or energy.
The remembrance that Opal's voice had been over the communicator came back, so the Lieutenant looked over to check- looked like the other was doing fine, despite also have a senshi problem ( though one decidedly more determined looking). But Opal had been checking on her, not calling for help. No use stealing her thunder then, and Schörl turned her attention back to their quotas.

It surprised her when the card of the silver haired Nega few out from under her foot and back at him. She started to think that was a little bit unfair since he could throw it at her again. It made Aldebaran wish that she had dug a deep hole and hid the card, wondering if it would have helped them at all.
Aldebaran had watched in amazement at the purple clothed page. When the Nega was knocked off of his feet, she totally thought that it was the page's doing and was completely in awe. She ran up to congratulate the page, but soon noticed that she was limping. "Oh no... Are you okay?"
She was small and probably couldn't do much when it came to aiding the page move, and when the page was attacked again, this time by the horse youma, Aldebaran knew that she needed to find some help. "Don't move anymore, okay?"
"Aldebaran, Phoenix Flight!" She watched as the phoenix re-appeared and went to distract the horse youma. Looking around, Aldebaran ran quickly to whom she saw before and tugged on the wings of the tiger-looking senshi. "Miss! Purple page over there hurt her leg and well... She needs help!" Aldebaran frowned, kind of disliking how small she was at the moment.
Opal's head might have gotten too big for her britches as the civilian wobbled and she was blind sided by a runaway animal. Toppling to the ground less than gracefully the Lieutenant thrashed, angry at being interrupted.
The damage was minimal, just more inconvenient than anything, but the bruises would hurt like hell come morning. She'd have a hard time explaining this to her partner but, ******** it.
She finally managed to throw the animal off of her toward Ida and got to her feet with a growl. Total: 178 Starseeds: 2
He ignored the chibi with her sparking birds as well as the limping page, eyes turning quickly to survey the rest of the scene only to catch Lieutenant Opal and a senshi he was at least a little bit familiar with.
He was at Opal's side in seconds, hand reaching out to steady her elbow as she tossed the animal aside. "I believe you said we should work together, Lieutenant? Ready to finally team up and take them down?"

Well ******** had no sooner gotten rid of one annoyance then another came prowling up, loving on her in a very large kitty head butt of doom kind of way. Had she rolled in catnip? Thankfully, her captain came up to join the fight, which was good cause things had taken a sudden downturn.
"I'd appreciate the help, Captain."
She was scooted back a few steps by an overly-affectionate nuzzle. Da fuq? The Lieutenant tried, unsuccessfully, to get the great beast to leave her alone. Total: 181 Starseeds: 2
Things were definitely not going her way today... Another civilian down and she still could do nothing about the lieutenant that had almost gotten her as well. She got a perverse sort of pleasure out of watching her get smashed into by an animal. Serves her right.
The arrival of a second negaverse agent gave her pause though and the flower senshi gave him a wary look. He looked familiar... but the man she had met before had worn light clothes. Had he upgraded, as she had before she met him?
"I see you're still up to your bad behavior." She said, keeping her arms up defensively.
Haley Jones thought the worst thing that could come from visiting the animal pens would be watching imprisoned animals with no ability to save them. But instead there was this. A Negaverse attack by the looks of it, and she was in no position to power up to Super Sailor Aster and defend herself or the others. She was far too high, far too distracted, lightly injured from a fall and far too high ---
--- and holy ******** was that a feral youma leaping off a park bench, mid-air straight towards her?
It certainly was, she realized, as it pinned her to the ground. Its drool dripped onto her face as it snarled and growled at her.
"OH s**t, SOMEBODY HELP ME," she screamed. She knew she couldn't solely defend herself this high, powered or civilian, but she could give it a try while she waited for help. After all, she did have some self-defense training.
She pressed her hands against the youma's chest, trying to push it off her, but it was too strong for her when she wasn't a Senshi. She tried for plan B and kneed the creature between its hind legs, which caused it to howl and loosen its grip on her. She crawled out from underneath it and stood up, but her move just angered the youma as it began to chase her around the park.
Athene may have been making his way through the chaos that the animal pens had turned into relatively successfully to date, but unknown to the dark-haired senshi his luck was about to change and painfully.
His head had turned automatically at the sound of a nearby female voice screaming out for someone to help him, the moment of distraction costing him as he was bowled over by something large and furry.
Unable to help the pained cry that bubbled past his lips as a painful heat bloomed in his side, Athene tried to kick out frantically at the beast. Something that must have been successful as eventually with a snarl the panicked animal moved on.

"Same old tricks. Different game." He flashed the floral senshi a broad, menacing grin. "I see you've met Lieutenant Opal, so we needn't make any further introductions now that we're all aware of one another."
He paused for a moment, taking a deep breath to enjoy the chaos once more. The screams reached out to awaken something he hadn't quite felt before; something beyond excitement.
"Enough of that." He snapped at the youma, giving it a firmer nudge away from Opal. "You have work to do; civilians to scare, senshi to maim. Off with you!" And then his attention was back on the Sailor Scout.
"Shouldn't you be saving someone? Don't you hear them screaming, Ida?"

It was a waist, given that senshi were getting up close and personal now, to have trapped some delectables it the pens and not make use of them. So the lieutenant retreated from the throng of the immediate walking lane to the stall she'd closed opened it and caught the first sad civilian to bolt for freedom, "Nighty night."
She had some really decent orbs, a couple starseeds, it was a good go so far.
