ive only played woodsball, but im new 2 paintball and i played at a friends house. it was woodsball, but in a speedball style

well. in woodsball like most people say is slow and can be boring because you have to walk around forever to find people but, if you were to make the bounds smaller you would get more action a a shorter amount of time plus you get to be more stratigic becuase you kno where the enemy is. In speed ball you get action right when they say go go go and its a rush and your never bored and you get to be really stratigic ,but its sorta expencive. i played woods ball until i got a job and a speedball team so if you dont have alot of money to shed play woods ball and when you get money tryout speed ball if you dont like the rush buy a really good woodsball gun.

woods ball takes more patience and tactics, speedball is reactiontime, instinct, strategic placement, and a bit of luck lol i play both but i love speedball

i like to play both of em i like the rush u get win u play speed ball but i also like the tactics and stradige u have to us in woods ball but if i had to chose i would say woods seeing that i have a woods field in my back yard it rocks.

i perfer woodsball but i have the woodsball/speedball setup in my backyard woods. there r no inflatebles, but the bunkers are close together so there is intense action at the start of every game. with the bushes to hide behind and stuff like that. so its really kool

woodsball=a game of chess
speedball=a game of chess where you can move 3 peices every turn

EDIT:

speedball= a game of chess that you have 10 sec. to move

woodsball= a game of chess that is 300x the regular size

I like woodsball, as long as you're in 1000ft of someone, walking throught the woods for 10 min and shooting for 10 doesn't seem very ethical.

I played one woodsball game where both teams expected a rush and just hid till 12 seconds, then everybody just ran, only 37 balls were fired, and 2 people were out.
I'm playing at a public place too, but I perfer speedball.

and in my experience, you save alot of paint.

I usually use 1-2 hoppers in speedball, but I use over 5 in woodsball, I'm usually on the front line.(probably why.)

it dont matter wat im doing it can be speed ball or woods ball i play my hardest but i like speed better

i play both, and i like woodsball, i like how it usually plays out like a real skirmis or war would, although i don't mind speedball it is fun but i just like woodsball better

speed ball is the biggest rush ..... being a forward everyone gunning for u . guns shooting 35bps rite at u while ur running through the snake . poppen up to see ir ur targets moved ....... ducking just in time for the pb to slide ovr ur hair ..............................

Speedball is where its at.. though i am finding a new passion... pump play...

PBC Greenville is now hosting a 3 man pump challenge. 4 events, 2 in the woods, 2 on Xball/airball. Besides, i live in charleston, there is NO speedball here... so i just resort to woodsball pulling speedball tactics and skills into the game. We've run the village course in under a minute(about 30 people per team) and me and four friends were key elements though. We pushed the road side hard and just leap frogged each other up to the next bunker... worked perfectly. Best compared to a tag team strong side on a dorito tape... two players leap from until they are in the opponents 30 and 40 bunkers. From there, its methodical. We made the fifty off break(me and two others) our other two boys dropping paint over our heads. Cleared the road side under twenty seconds. After that, we just turned and looked cross field for the shots on players backs and sides. This was before we all switched to pumps... good times...

Well I really like playing woodsball but I know that it's just for kicks there really is no tournament play from playing woodsball.

I like Woodsball because you don't have to be Duke Nukem to actually get anyone shot. In woodsball a novice player can eliminate a seasoned veteran and vise versa everyone is prety much at an even level. There are a bunch of places you can hide and sneak to tagg your opponent. Players in Woodsball games tend to be pretty cool. Speedball players tend to get very heated at moments and take loosing way too seriously when they get tagged. They will just flip out.

I find that alot too, it seems, no matter how much skill you have, anyone can take you out.^^ that's why I like speedball, it's not all just luck and sitting, waiting around.
