I'm a guy,a nd i play flute, not in band, but I did a few years back, adn will be playing with the flute choir at my school when it starts. I'm excited. There's one male who plays flute in band at my school, he's a cool dude.

In our band, there are 3 male flute players. There used to be 4, but he left band....he was REALLY good too.

There used to be a male flute player in my band.
He and this girl were always competing over who would get first chair.
He always beat her by [literally] half a point on tests.

xD I've never met a male flute player before. I've seen them in like professional orchestras and my friend's met one, but yeah...I'm sorry, it just seems rather strange to see a guy flutist. ^_^ No offense! <3

our first chair flute is a guy and we have another one in the middle of the flutes. someone i know whated to play the flute but his parents told him it was too girly, that's messed up.

'kay....in my freshman year and now my junior year we had a male flute player in our section...in 9th we had two guys...one of them was really cool and very nice and was in first chair(senior) and the other(sophmore)....i don't think he was but omg you could swear he was gay....and this year we have a male flute player and even though he isn't, if you don't know him well enough you would think he was gay.
the supposed gay male flute player(tuna was what we called him) was a sophmore that was seventh chair with 5 seniors and a freshman above him and when we went to concert contest he didn't even know that a 1 was a good score...and this was after all of us screamed our heads off...
also one of the color guard members gave him a Brittney Spears Barbie doll and he jumped 3 ft. in the air, knocked back his chair that hit a stand that fell and scratched our tenor sax players NEW sax.
and the one this year....he's cool.

Im a male flute player...and piccilo! Ohhh, both of the flute like instruments played by a male. And im first chair for both!

We've got three male flutes in our band program, me included. Two are in the last band (second-to-last (me) and third-to-last chair) and i think the other is in top band.

I learned how to play the flute on my own. I actually play trumpet, but I picked up the flute to help with my breathing while I sing. It has helped with my singing.

We have 3 male flutists in our band also. Right now we're seperated by woodwinds, brass, and percussion though, so no chair tests since it's marching season. I do admit males tend to be more into teh flute than females, but I'm not your typical female, I'm obsessed w/ moi flute...

I think we have about three male flute players in the school...one is like, second chair, top band, and the other two are in CB2 (the lower band).
But I'm a female tuba player! We are nearly as hard to find as male flautists! (I used to be a flute player. There were just too many. xD.)
Male flautists are awesome though...though I don't know any of them that well...oh well.

We have three male flute players and two of them are SEXY!! heart heart
All of them are really good and sometimes I'm jealous of their skills but I get to play the piccolo and they don't so haha to them.

yay! im a male flute and piccolo player! but i started on bass clarinet in middle school, then switched to clarinet in my freshman year for bandcamp and the 1st two weeks of school, but we had no flutes so the BD let me switch, and then she gave me piccolo for MB. now im a junior and... yay!
warning: accidental bragging ahead
im the first chair flute and always have been. im also one of the best in the band period. last year during a seating test the whole band had to play the same song individually and when it got to me i outplayed everyone by so much, and i also made the flute after me cry (i felt really bad about that sad )
yea i deffinately love flute and picc,i plan on studying them in college. yay for 32nd notes!
