The little girl wasn't sure when she had opened her eyes. The only thing she was sure of was that there was a fuzzy thing sitting on her chest and it was talking in her head. She wanted ponies and chocolate cake and coloring books, not bunny-cats with strange, piercing stares. She squeezed her eyes shut again.
"Moooooom?" As the slightly whiny word leaked from her lips, Connie Schoop struggled to recall what a mom even was, and when she had remembered, she wondered if she had one at all. She had to have a mom, right? Everyone had a mom. She waited. Okay. She supposed hers wasn't coming.
When she opened her eyes for the second time, the creature was gone.
Had she stopped to wonder what it was doing there, she might not have picked up the glowing thing beside her so readily, but before she rose to her feet, she had it clasped in her warm hands. When she looked at it, it was easy to ignore the shouting and smacking going on around her. It didn't matter that she was in a room full of girls she had never seen before or that she could barely move while encased in all this taffeta. Her gem was better than a pony. She didn't even notice the weight of the giant sword strapped to her back.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw another girl getting up off of the ground as well. And she had such a funny voice!
"Does it hurt?" she asked, wobbling over to Tatiana. "I can't remember how I got here either, but I don't think I bumped anything. I could..." She took hold of her gem in one hand and began tugging on her skirt with the other. "...get. some. of this!" Having succeeded in ripping a fluttery piece of red fabric off of her dress, Connie proudly held it out to the other girl. "If you're bleeding anywhere?"

Just from listening around, it didn't sound like anyone really knew much about what was going on here. That was a little concerning. there were so many of them too. What could have happened to bring them all together here? Where they all to fight what cannot be fought?
Or something like that.
While she was trying to figure it out, Tatiana turned as one of the other girls asked her if she was alright. She took a moment, placing a hand to her head.
"Mmm... No. 'Ead not 'urt after all. Maybe did not bump," she mused. Even so, she checked her hand to make sure it was not bleeding. With a smile, she showed her hands off, "See? No blood! All is good. Ah I forgot. I am Tatiana. You are?"
She was surprised she remember that much. But hey! Remember a name was good.

< .... how are you feeling? >
Ridley felt herself stir, roused by the sound of an echoing voice in the thick fog of her mind. Everything was a haze and even a heavy weight as if everything but nothing was there at the same time. Motor skills seemed to be taking over, the only process able to function; fingers twitching, eyes fluttering open and blinking out the spots from her vision and wobbly arms pushing her up (had she fallen?)
"I'm fine thanks," she found herself saying. That was surprising, the sound of her own voice and her response even at all. Was she really fine? Well, she didn't feel too terrible, just... she couldn't really remember anything. As much as the girl tried to grasp at... something, it slipped through her fingers like water.
< You don't remember anything? That is rather unfortunate and oddly inconvenient. Shall I remind you of why you are here? >
"It is, isn't it," The girl frowned, "a little annoying but if you know then at least someone does." She was now sitting, brushing her fingers across the folds of her skirt to straighten and dust off what she had fallen on. Apparently she liked layers.
The voice continued. The truth. About fighting (the girl could feel an odd smile form on her face from the thought, curious), FEAR and Humans and Halloween. And apparently a choice that was made. Balance and conflict. She was a reaper, that's what the voice was telling her. And chosen. That sounded actually rather exciting even if so many details were lost to her.
"Thanks, I'll try," luck would probably be handy but the girl could still feel the smile tugged on her lips. The voice was gone, though, replaced by others. Many and near, arguing and mixed of emotions all around from the other girls. Rust colored eyes looked around, catching each and all of them as best she could. Might as well get to know people. Step one would be to get up.
Her fingers wrapped around the edges of the large book that had been seated beside her the long while, her weapon so she was told. It was large and heavy looking, but when she went to lift it - as she pushed herself fully to her feet as well - it was as light as a feather. Awesome.
The orange haired girl held the book close to her chest, making her way to the largest collection of confused and arguing girls. "Hi!" Her smile widened, detaching a hand from her book to offer a small wave. "I'm," wait... there was something. A name, "Ridley."

"Thank you, Alvar!" Jocelyn chirped happily and extended her wand a bit. "It's actually a wand." She stepped back enough to give it a good wave in demonstration. "But, well I suppose I am small and it's a bit bigger on me.." She merely shrugged, the idea not bothering her in the least.
"Hestia.." She repeated as another girl slung her arm around Alvar. "Nice to meet you. I'm Jocelyn. Everyone is being so nice.. " Her voice had shifted to a bit of a mutter. What could they be fighting? She didn't see any bad guys at all!
It didn't dawn on the girl that the possibility was there for them to battle each other. Was she even capable of that? Was this some sort of meeting or holding area? There wasn't an enemy to be seen.
For now, with no goals and no memories, Joce could only be happy to meet new people and make some new happy memories while they could!

One of the girls near by seemed upset and was saying something about being alone. Tamara was scared too, but, she needed to fix that. She put an arm around the girl who she didn't even know. "Hey, you aren't alone. I don't know exactly what happened, but whatever, we can face it together." She couldn't even make promises that they would win, but, they had already agreed to do this, so they should work together right?

To Thalia, Lyra shrugged and gave a shake of her head. "Your guess is as good as mine." She wasn't sure she even knew how to fight. Other girls has swords and axes and she had nothing but a lantern. She pursed her lips and her eyes narrowed a bit. She thought perhaps she was a fighter; strong and fierce but perhaps that was just her way of dealing with the situation. If she believed herself to be strong and able; the unknown didn't seem so bad. Her tongue clicked at the roof of her mouth and she mentally chastised herself. It was best not to dwell on this too much; lest she want to confuse herself even more. There had to be a reason she felt like she could fight. It wouldn't come from no where. Right?
A hip jutted out and she rested her hand on it as other girls around them began to come forward; all asking the same questions and all as confused as the one before them. To Kleio Lyra gave a lazy shrug. "I was just saying the same thing to Thalia. I don't remember making a choice. You'd think I'd remember something as important as that, right?"
To the other girl she gave a slight smile and a nod. "Hello. Don't remember much, huh?"

She looked up as another girl edged closer, speaking as she slipped an arm over her shoulders. Fingers quickly laced together in front of her as she offered a small nod, sniffling a bit as she forced a pathetically weak smile to her lips. "I... yes. You're right." She quietly stated, only meeting the other blond's gaze a moment before letting her eyes slip back to the floor. "But does it not sadden you? The thought of those you loved being gone?" Forgotten or not, that deep echoing emptiness still remained. She could feel something was gone, even if she didn't know what.
"I merely wish I knew." She stated, looking up once more to the confident girl. "What it was I was so determined to fight for. What the ache in my heart was caused by." Perhaps she should stop, she'd merely make the girl depressed if she kept at it. She took a moment to wipe the newest set of tears from her eyes before attempting a more true smile. "I... but do not worry. I will fight, I have so much resolve of my own." She added, before lifting a hand to pat Tamara on the shoulder. "I suppose the proper step is to make those who remain my friends as well." Obviously speaking about all around them. "My name is Orina, what is yours?"

"Good!" She hastily tucked the ripped bit of her dress into the sash at her waist. "I don't really know how to stop people from bleeding anyway!" Rather than dwell on that, she held out her hand. "Connie! Nice to meet you, even if this is a dream or something." She hoped if it was a dream that there would be candy involved at some point.
"So... there's lots of other girls here! Should we say hi to them? I mean, you seem kind of nice, but a lot of them are shouting? I guess? What is there to shout about?" Connie had a gem and a... She reached around her back and ran her fingers along the cold hunk of metal that hung there. What was that?

"I'm Tamara. and yeah I am sad that the others are gone... I wish I knew what happened." she frowned, and shewed on her lip for a moment. "But we can be friends." she smiled. "And it's ok to cry. Nothing is wrong with crying. I just want to be friends. Let's do our best ok?" On the inside, Tamara was feeling a little like crying herself but she didn't want to cry. Crying made her feel like she was weak, and she didn't want to be weak. Especially as they were about to fight. Her fingers slid down her bo-staff as she adjusted it in her hands. Instead she hugged the other girl a little tighter and borrowed some strength from the idea of having a friend. Having a friend gave her something to fight for.
That and the humans, but she didn't know them. They were just a concept, This girl was right here in front of her, and she could work with that. "Let's make some more friends so we can be ready." for what, she didn't know, but having more friends sounded like a great idea.

Maria groaned as began to wake up. Her head was fuzzy and she felt a little bit dizzy. Shifting slightly, she suddenly realized how uncomfortable she was. Wanting to know what was going on, she opened her eyes. For a moment her eyesight was blurry but a few rapid blinks took care of that. Groaning, she slowly started to sit up as she placed a hand to her head. It was then she realized she had been lying on her back, and the cold, hard, uncomfortable feeling she had felt was in fact the floor. What was going on? The last thing she could remember was... Wait... She didn't remember anything. Nothing at all. Where she was, what she was doing. Nothing. The only thing she could come up with... was Maria. Maria... A name? Yes. A name. Her name. Her name was Meria. That was as far as she got when a voice spoke to her.
"A little dizzy. Confused..." She ran a hand over her face as she closed her eyes. "I cant seem too..." She glanced up and trailed off. She had expected to see someone standing there, talking to her. She stood to see where the voice was coming from, but found nothing. It was just a voice with no one that belonged to it. "H... hello?" Maybe this was normal. She didn't feel frightened by the voice. "Um... Could you maybe tell me what's going on?"
Maria shifted as she fiddled nervously with her fingers. "Um... No... No not really." Was her response to it asking if she remembered anything. Should she? It sounded like she should. In that case, yes. It was unfortunate. When it asked she would like to be reminded, she nodded. "Yes. I... I cant seem to remember anything..."
"Fight?" She glanced around.
"Item?" Glancing down, she spotted the item the voice was talking about. She blinked for a moment before reaching down and picking it up. When she did, she felt a sudden rush of energy flow through her. "Wow." When she touched it, it was like she was remembering a little bit more about her self. This item was hers. This staff... Yes. That's what this item was. She knew that much. "Fear?" She held tight to her weapon and through hard. It sounded familiar. Like she should know it, but it was stuck at the back of her mind. she groaned in frustration with herself. Why couldn't she remember? "I'm sorry." She sighed. "I just don't remember..."
< Ah, let me explain a little better. There are many kinds of Fear. There is kind, benign Fear, taken from Humans, to help our world. Then there is a terrible type of Fear that would take without considering the balance between Humans and Halloween. >
Maria stood there in silence as she listened to the voice. The more it talked about Fear, the more she understood. But... what did it have to do with her? She stayed silent as the voice continued.
< You have been chosen to restore this balance of course. Your weapon will help you do this. As a Reaper, skilled in using Fear in weapons, I'm sure you using this weapon is natural to you! >
"Chosen?" She looked a little surprised. "I was... Chosen?" She took a moment to think about what the voice had said. Glancing down at her staff, She tightened her grip on it. The voice was right. For some reason this weapon felt natural to her. For some reason she knew that as long as she had it, she would be fine. Nothing could happen to her as long as this was with her.
"Huh!" She quickly looked up. "Hey wait! hold-aaand it's gone..." She sighed as she closed her eyes. Wait... it said ONES... was she not alone in this?

A dream? Now that was a possibility, though it would be kind of strange if this was all a dream. Or rather, this would be a very odd one.
"Connie! Good to meet you," she said heartily before looking around and shrugging, "Could not 'urt to meet. Don't know vhy shout but 'ey! Vatever floats their boats, eh? Come. Let us meet them!"
Nodding, Tatiana dusted herself off a little more, then made her way up to a small group of girls that were conversing with one another. And well, she just kind of barged right in.
"Privet! Now is good time to meet and make merry, yes? I am Tatiana. And this is Connie. Ve do not remember anything."

Kyohei sits up, rubbing her head, "Ugh my head...Where-wha-who are you?" She glanced at the thing speaking to her,"Finally? How long was I out? Where am I? I don't remember you or this place or...anything really." She sighed heavily, very confused. Kyohei dropped her head in defeat,"I-I don't mean to be a bother...really. But maybe you could remind me again? I don't understand why I don't remember..." She looked back up, surprised,"Me? I would never agree to do anything like that...at least I don't think I would. Would I?"Her hands clenched at the hem of her dress desperately. "But what choice do I have..." "Thing next...to me?" She glanced over and to her surprise was a big black thing full of scary looking spikes. Kyohei picked it up almost with fear, "This is important to me? Now this Fear thing? How am I supposed to use this?" Things were getting more and more confusing. And weird. < Ah, let me explain a little better. There are many kinds of Fear. There is kind, benign Fear, taken from Humans, to help our world. Then there is a terrible type of Fear that would take without considering the balance between Humans and Halloween. > Kyohei tilted her head a little to the left, "Uhhh...okay. Not completely sure I follow but what do I have to do with this?" < You have been chosen to restore this balance of course. Your weapon will help you do this. As a Reaper, skilled in using Fear in weapons, I'm sure you using this weapon is natural to you! > She stands up, shaking her head, "I can't do this. I'm not a Reaper or whatever! Is this thing-"She holds out the spiky-thing, "really a weapon! Even if it is how do you expect me to use it?!" Kyohei at this point is pacing in a small circle. Her nerves are frazzled and she feels like crying. "I'm sorry I can't do this. You got the wrong-"*hiccup*"girl. I'm not special..." Tears roll down her cheeks. She slides back down to the ground, "I don't even know who I am." "B-but wait!" The creature disappeared, leaving Kyohei all alone. Taking a couple deep breaths she tries to regain her composer. "I can do this...." She laughs pathetically, groaning, "Who am I kidding?! I can't do this! But....I guess I can try anyway..." She turns to see a mob of other girls. Hands shaking, she begins walking forward.
The first thing she remembered was Red. Bright, bright red, as an apple. It took her a moment to realize they weren't beads, nor gems- eyes. Below that, a mouth. Next, a voice, although the mouth didn't move.
< Ah! I'm glad you finally woke up! How are you feeling? >
So the conversation went. The small animal explained her purpose for being here, the reason she was alive.
None of her memories returned to her, but she had a purpose and she had a weapon. Defeat that which was harming humans. It sounded like a fair enough cause and ... to be honest ... She didn't have anything else she could do. Magenta literally remembered nothing but her own name. If a small creature was telling her to do something- why not? It was better than sitting around worrying about why she was here. Leave that to the existentials.
"If you say so, Mr. Fuzzy," she said happily. Hey, he never gave his name. That meant she could pick anything she wanted!
The fact that they were the only ones left was a little startling. "What do you mean we're-" It was too late, the creature had already vanished. She tucked that tidbit of information away for later, reminding herself to ask him about it.
Seeing as many others had already woken up, Magenta turned to the crowd. "UM ... HELLO EVERYONE! LET'S WORK TOGETHER TO DEFEAT THE THINGS!"
Yes what an excellent beginning.

“Nice to meet you Hestia. Name’s Alvar.” She responded with a grin, though her legs were starting to hurt since they had to bend in order for the other girl to sling her arm around her shoulders. There was indeed a height difference…yes.
Alvar smiled apologetically at Jocelyn as the girl spoke once more before correcting herself, “A wand, my mistake.”
It seems it is safe to make the assumption that everyone here doesn’t remember anything prior to waking up. Well, isn’t this a strange predicament. Though, it seems introductions were required once more.
“A pleasure, Tatiana, Connie. I’m Alvar.” She greeted, removing Hestia’s arm from her shoulders as her kneels begun to complain about the pose she had taken. “It seems the majority, maybe all, of us don’t have a single clue about anything prior to waking up.”
Keiko opened her eyes slowly and looked around her. Where was she? And how had she gotten there?
How was she feeling? Who and what was this creature?
I'm okay I think. What's going on? I don't understand. She was confused and a little afraid as well. She paused then as the creature spoke to her again.
Yes please. Of course she wanted to know what was going on. Wasn't that why she had asked? She listened another moment as he explained. Fight? What was he talking about? She didn't remember agreeing to anything. Although she supposed that she had forgotten everything but her name.
Kieko looked at the object beside her. It was an odd orb of some sort and seemed to be glowing Violet with power. Fear? The creature must have caught the puzzled look on her face as he began to explain.
Keiko noticed the staff beside her as he mentioned weapons. That must be hers then. She wondered about it for a moment before she turned her attention back to the creature.
What had happened to the others? How much had she truly forgotten? Kieko hoped that her friends and family were safe. Whoever they were. Then again if she didn't know them anymore maybe she wouldn't care in the end. It all hurt her head too much to think about.
As the creature turned its attention away from her, she moved to see who else was left. Had they all forgotten as well? She wondered how many of them had been her friends, how many her enemies, and how many she had never known to begin with.
Shaking her head, Keiko stood herself up without stumbling or falling. She wasn't injured as far as she could tell, but it never hurt to be cautious. If she had signed up to save the humans as the creature said, then she supposed she better get started. Only, where did she start?
