 Frustrated with the uselessness of their minipets, Legs was about to march on up to give the shadowling a swift kick in their rear. Legarra and Esmerelda, both desperate to appease their masters, decided to do that in Legs' stead. Akubi was kind of taking a backseat for just a second or two. When it seemed possible to summon a minipet he called forth the most useful and deadly of them all. DeDe.
"Attack, minion! Nyahahaha! Look! I am being helpful as well, ghoul!" Akubi proclaimed toward Victoria.
The bagged fish bounced at the monster and Akubi's reward was damage in turn but he seemed to not care much at the moment. He was busy being useful.
Dede uttered a soft, 'Masssssssterrrr whhhhyyyyyy' in a weird bubbly tone. Probably because it was fish bones in a bag of water. Maybe. He watched Legs swing through the air with a grin on his face, but that grin was soon replaced by a grimace of confusion. West didn't recognize the brightly colored invaders as minipets at first, not until a much happier and dumber version of Master came trotting over to him. "Father, I am here to help you!" she said in an overenthusiastic monotone. "What should I do, Father? Father? Father? Father? Father?" The scareon continued repeating that horrible word as West stared at her, his confusion finally shifting to horrified anger. "Shut up!" he barked. "Go... there! Hit that thing! Jus' get th'hell away from me!""Oh, yes, Father. I will hit that thing for you!" She trotted away, swiping and biting at the giant shadowling, all the while looking back at regular intervals to make sure West was watching. As if to prove her point, Arel appeared for a matter of moments before he was swallowed whole. Whoopsie...Well, there were far more serious things to attend to, namely a bright wave directed at Amrita, along with a shout of friendly greeting, and a sympathetic look for poor Victoria and her mirrors. It was a battle, sure, but Belladonna would not ever pass up an opportunity to socialize, even a little. As for the pretty winged ghoul whose other half seemed content to run around, the witch gave her full attention. "Your boilfriend?! Oh dear! I am sure he is alright! Who is it, by the by?" Hey look she was curious ok! Yet her attention was horribly distracted a moment later by one already very brightly colored Love a Lot Treat, who suddenly burst into the room, ran straight to his owner and seemed hell bent on hugging the witch's legs together at once. "Sir Cuddley Ruffley Butt! What are you doing?!" "I'm helping! I'm helping you!" As though it might help anyone else... "Errr, thank you darkling, that's very kind... But ah, do you think perhaps you could help that very large, very menacing creature over there? I think a kick to its face would do nicely."" YESSSSSSSS!!!" He was nothing if not horribly enthusiastic. But even despite the creature's rather derpy way of waddling angrily toward the monster, the Love a Lot Treat still managed to flutter his wings enough to lift him into the air and latch his teeth onto the monster's leg. Whereupon he promptly chewed a nice little gash into the shadowy creature. "Oh! Oh most excellent my darkling! Bravo!" Belladonna cheered behind him, alternating between clapping her hands loudly in applause and flailing her hands in the air in semblance of having pom poms to shake. What helpful little creatures every one had! How kind of them to join the fray and risk their fluffy little lives! The witch was vastly touched by this show of kindness and smiled quite happily despite still being in the middle of a battle. Mort was in a daze again. He couldn't help but puzzle over why the shadows kept getting stronger as they were destroyed. Network intelligence? Did its birthing spot adapt to the situation? What /were/ they anyway? They seemed to smell of Fear and yet . . .
He blinked awake when everything turned colorful, however, and a high pitched voice barked at him. "Maaaaaasssssssterrrrrrr!" And a slightly lower one. "Your Highness!"
Lanna and Lancelot were on the scene. Wait WHAT -
"Mrr?" Mort stared as the fancy foxfire and zquirrel bounded towards him, larger and frightfully intelligent for minipets like everyone else's. "Y-Yeah?"
"What should we do, Your Highness?" Lanna asked, wings fluttering.
"Yessssssss what do!" Lancelot added, apparently the higher pitched voice.
"Er...Lancelot, be knight," Mort ordered, gesturing to the witch. The zquirrel chittered excitedly and skittered to Belladonna, whacking shadows away with his large fluffy tail. The zomboil managed to catch sight of who she was talking to...half talking to...Wait that seemed familiar...

The arrival of Lanna and Lancelot was half expected, except the witch did have to wonder over how Lanna had gotten there. Wasn't she supposed to still be with Ramona?! Wait, didn't that mean Lanna really loved them more? Yes! Most excellent! "Oh, what a brave knight! Thank you Lancelot!" The witch cooed as the little zquirrel came to her rescue. It was an awfully good thing too as she was starting to feel just the tiniest bit worn down. All that lost sleep had really put a damper on how she felt that day! But there was still a battle and the witch smiled as Sir Cuddley Ruffley Butt flopped off the monster's leg and turned an expectant face to her. "What do? What do?" He chirped with a flutter of wings. The witch pointed quite dramatically at the creature. "Again!" She instructed with a flourish. And the Love a Lot treat did try, at least. But it got knocked to the side when it fluttered up to attack. Whoops, that didn't work... Maybe they should coordinate better next time... "I seem to recall something a little different last time, Rita." He smiled mischieviously at the ghoul.
That was until the shadows all seemed to merge.

"I got this, master!" The little dragon minipet chirped up, looking rather pleased with itself that it could be helpful! The little dragon minipet huffed, before flinging a wave of little tiny blue fireballs at the boss.

It was time. Something else set it off, a feeling, a moment of trepidation. The ground extended outwards at all points into a thick, black rectangle of a crater before something crawled out, painfully slowly, a sphere radiating nothingness for a second before- - It unfurled, long black claws extending outwards first, followed by antennae, legs, a giant hollow heart sigil in the center of its chest. It was like watching something exhale for the first time, watching it create form from emptiness, watching as it towered high, high over everything else, easily engulfing anything in its way. What can be destroyed will only come back stronger OOC: BONUS EFFECTS BONUS EFFECTS APPLICABLE THIS ROUND: -Pg 4 buff still in effect! gaia_crown [ Unlimited Attacks ] - All attacks are unlimited for this round! OOC: WAVE 4 FINAL WAVE BOSS BATTLE! WAVE 4! "O-oh, my boilfriend's Sheridan. He's a dragon. I wasn't sure where he'd go but I know he got out of his dorm. He's very strong." Tess answered the witch, trying not to let her lower lip quiver in worry. She just wanted to know where the celestial dragon was. Whether he was alright.
The minipets were adamant about making it up to their owner. So while Tess was answering, Legarra and Esme went ahead and charged. And failed. Legs is so embarrassed to call you theirs. Well, that was good, he supposed. The shadow was gone and... West's expression shifted to one of complete and utter disdain. He watched the giant creature erupt from the crater in the floor and muttered, "Stay the hell down," before whistling for Master's attention and pointing at their enemy. If she was going to insist on helping then she could help, rather than sitting there licking her butt. The scareon hopped to her feet and bounded forward, biting the shadowling on its shifting leg. "Good job," he said. His words seemed encouraging enough, but his tone was anything but. The boil sounded a bit like he was being forced to scrape crap off of his shoe. The entire creature appeared to be shoved forward by the effort. "WITHOUT A HEART HOW WILL YOU KNOW WHAT TO FOLLOW TO BE GOOD AND WONDERFUL AND TRUE TO YOURSELF??" Meanwhile, the blastwave of damage knocked Aymet back.
