"If that blue aura of hope is supposed to have a calming effect... you might want to keep the suit on." Misty said quietly, still pretty much hiding behind Dundee.
Mattis glanced back at Arell and CJ's cell, then gave a small smile before turning back to Stevens. "Take the Lantern and woman down to my office. Get them settled in and I'll be down momentarily."
Stevens looked back at Mattis, then nodded and kept walking to Dundee. Mattis moved back towards Arell's cell. "Is everything alright?" he asked. "We can keep a few guards on stand-by near your cell. Or perhaps move him to one of the cells that are harder to break down." Mattis asked, motioning towards the metal and bullet proof glass cells across from the two.
Meanwhile Stevens had stopped before Dundee and Misty. He couldn't quite get over how... similar she looked to Miss Blackstone. A real duplicate. "Sorry about that... I am Doctor Stevens. Doctor Mattis and I are helping Doctor Gray out a bit with Arell and CJ I believe they're called." he said, trying not to stare at Misty. "You can relax a bit... the offices are down that way." he said, motioning towards another hallway. "Just upstairs. We'll be to the room in no time. Doctor Gray is still having a meeting with....erm... another patient. Doctor Mattis will be up in a moment to help get things situated. Follow me." he said, then began leading them down the opposite hall.

Dundee looked at her and nodded. "Good idea. I forgot where the zipper was anyways." he said with a shrug. Well, not like it HAD a zipper . . . he did his best to keep Misty calm.
Meanwhile, Arell smiled at Mattis. "I can usually handle 'im, he's . . . just got a lot t' figger out, doc." he said. In truth, Arell was right. He didn't see Misty split or anything, since he was talking to the engineer and a few of the animal handlers. When he came back, C.J. was frantically looking for Misty, in utter disbelief that she had just flat-out left. Then again, in the villainous underground, he DID have a price on his head. Nobody rescues a wanted woman from the clutches of Fisk and Savage without some sort of retribution.
Then again, he was kinda on the lam, too. REALLY hoping Catgirl didn't show up to pay him a visit.
Meanwhile, Dundee shook Dr. Stevens' hand. "Hi, I'm Dundee Rogers, Blue Lantern Corps. Boy am I glad to see you coming and HIM not!" he said, looking back to seeing C.J.'s dazed body on the ground inside the cell. Contrary to Dr. Mattis' concern, Benoit didn't even leave a dent.

Mattis chuckled a bit. "It seems like it." he replied. "Doctor Gray had told us what she knew of your situation. Which... seemed fairly simple at the time. Now... well... it seems things have become very complicated, very quickly. I don't blame him for getting a little over excited."
Dr Stevens smiled a bit, glad to see that they were at least calm about the situation. "I can imagine." he said as he led them down the hall. "It's been.... quite a rough day for the man. I had brought in.... um... another woman who for all the world looks just like you." he said, looking back at Misty. Then paused for a beat. "I'm... not sure how the other doctors handle situations like this, but..." he began, then pulled a voice recorder out of the inner pocket of his lab coat. Remembering now to hit the 'stop recording' button. "There is quite a lot we should talk about. First... get your side of the story and see what you think about... CJ?"

Arell chuckled a little bit. "Yeah, an' they thought I was nuts!" he said . . . well, he saw the other Misty, too . . . did he lose it? Worst case of double-vision I EVER had! he thought. The worst part was, he was sober!
Dundee walked along, letting his aurora of hope do its thing to Misty, give her the confidence to speak up. "You first, Misty." he said, being a gentleman about the thing.
Meanwhile, C.J. stirred. "Aw, ******** me. I'm losin' it. How long 'til EVERY woman I come 'cross looks like her?!" C.J. asked, thinking he had finally and really cracked!
"Ceej, I saw her, too. jus' keep calm and lay down. Ya probably ovahworked yaself to the point of seein' her. I doubt Dun' was dat dumb to take her here, right?" Arell asked, C.J. shook his head.
"Jus' stay calm . . . an' keep away from alcohol. You already in a bad state a' mind!" Arell drawled, moving him to the bunks.

The tech squealed like a girl and ran for his life. And Rogue simply stared at the scarred Vice. The lady X-Man looked at the man, then looked toward the panel on the side of the machine holding her. Vice would be able to see the big red button which was the kill switch for power for the machine.

"Just take it easy." Mattis agreed. " You should probably stay rested anyway. With the little bump to the head you took, it would be better for you relax. We'll get everything straightened out." he said, then turned to Arell. "Just let one of the guards know if you need anything. I need to help out the boy. This is... probably above his head a bit." he said, then started down the hallway. Moving to his office to meet with the others.
Misty looked back at Dundee and smiled, feeling better thanks to his Lantern aura. "Thanks." she said, then moved inside the room.
The doctor followed them both in, then offered for them to take a seat. "Well then... I suppose the Lantern let you know why you were asked to come here." he began. "Your friend was arrested earlier for murdering a man in the streets, and-"
"Murder?" Misty asked, shocked.
Stevens blinked and looked back at her. "Er... yes. Weren't you told what had happened?" he asked, then looked to Dundee.
==================================
With no other guards about, Vice was free to take a moment's breath. He looked over at the woman spread eagle on the machine. He stared... looked to the panel that she was trying to motion towards... back to her.... back to the panel...
and then quite shamelessly eyed her up and down. "Damn... how unfortunate that fun looking little thing you're strapped to is in the middle of the hallway." he mused.

Joker laid down on the couch happily, but with his feet where most people normally rest their heads. "Much better. See, doc? I knew you had it in you."
He permitted himself a moment to crack his toes, then started talking while staring at the ceiling. "The reason I called for this meeting is rather simple, and it's something you probably already suspect. That woman. The one that tried to escape. I know her." His pale white face turned to look at the doctor. "I know her VERY well."

Doctor Gray gently closed the door of the room as Joker made himself comfortable. As he began talking, her expression became a little more interested. "Janet Loveless?" she asked as she moved to sit down in the chair across from the couch. "And how do you know her? Any information we have only comes from police reports and past history. She's greatly a New York City based woman...and there was never any mention of you." she asked. Her tone interested.

"I'm not sure I want to say HOW just yet," Joker replied. He wasn't sure whether to be amused or insulted that she actually thought that he'd spill all the beans immediately. He decided on amused this time, but next time would assuredly result in being insulted. If he felt like it. "It's only the first date, after all. You'll have to work harder than that. Too hard won't work, either, though. I DO have a girlfriend." He was, of course, referring to Dr. Harleen Quinzel, also known as Harley Quinn. "But, I WILL say that I know who Janet is, who she's romantically involved with, and I also know about her daughter."

Doctor Gray smirked a bit. It was the only expression she could muster other than annoyance. Of course she'd have to pull teeth... why wouldn't she have to pull teeth?
"Ah... suppose I'm more used to taking the conversational approach." she said. "I enjoy a good conversation... don't really like to try and tell people who they are or how they feel. Janet has been... less than cooperative. Partially because she's purposefully being difficult, and partially because... well we're not sure she even CAN be cooperative with us." she said, then glanced down at her folder. Perhaps she could just talk herself... see if he added onto anything... or see if she could exchange some information or something of the sort.
"It is interesting that you mentioned knowing about her daughter... considering WHY she was caught and brought to Arkham. We assumed she had some sort of problem with children... given what she has been doing for the past few weeks... but the only child we can find ever existing is one that died years ago."

"Oh, there's another child," Joker replied almost teasingly, "And Janet's quite protective of her. She's adorable with her little head full of red hair, and bright smile." Joker seemed... NORMAL... while he was talking about her. "Her name is Rosie. Sweetest little girl you'll ever meet. Including your own."

Doctor Gray took note in the slight... change in body language Joker displayed as he spoke about the girl. She made a mental note about it, then momentarily tried to decide weather to press the topic of the child... or... wonder about the similarity with the description of the girl to Janet's latest victims.
"Another girl..." she said, contemplatively. "So that's who "Rosie" is... makes a few of her outbursts make a little more sense. She has spoken of a "Rosie" she needs to get to when Janet has tried to escape before. The police had quite a time trying to keep her in jail. Which is.... interesting. All things considering... " she said. Letting the last sentence linger a bit.
"Have you ever met the child before?" she asked.

"Of course I've met her!" Joker said, now feeling a little insulted, "Didn't I JUST SAY that she's the sweetest girl you'll ever meet? How would I know that if I HADN'T?!" The clown was visibly perturbed. "What kind of asinine question was that?"

Dundee smiled at Misty with a reassuring nod and walked in. He listened, but looked at Misty, over at the doctor and back at Misty. "C.J. attacked Vandal Savage. Killed him." he said. "Apparently he thought Savage was on his way to attack you again, intercepted him . . . . and went ballistic." he explained . . . he was just as surprised as she was when he saw it. The fistfight, Savage throwing him into the hardware store . . . "Look, doc. maybe I oughta bring in the Flashback!"Okay, but do your best to behave yourself! "Pssh, okay. It's for the readers anyhow."NEW YORK CITY: ONE WEEK AGO C.J. staggered out of the department store. The fall through and crashing through several shelves didn't kill him surprisingly. The chainsaw idled as he walked towards Savage. A twisted little smirk upon his face. "Well, back for more, eh? Perhaps I should finish you off, go kill your little GIRLFRIEND and eat those kids. I needed a good meal." Savage taunted. C.J. stood there. Shaking . . . looking up, he grabbed the other handle of the chainsaw, revving the engine. "Not . . . my . . . CHILDREN!!!!" he screamed, charging with the saw revving at maximum speed. Savage dodged and threw a punch, the adrenaline in C.J.'s body sped his reaction time up, dodging it, going under and slashed Savage with enough ferocity that would have made Jason Vorhees, Freddy Kreuger and Leatherface all stop and stare in awe as he stood over what he thought was a dead man. "SEE WHAT HAD BEEN DONE TODAY!!!" C.J. screamed as he turned the saw off and it hit the ground. "BEWARE, YE CORRUPT SCOUNDRELS! YOUR JUDGEMENT DAY HAS COME, ********> he screamed. The police were all astounded, daring not to go further until Dundee put the hope and faith in them to end his insanity . . . but not without the cry that the boy would have the head of Wilson Fisk next. The bloody, angry young man was taken away, cleaned up, given a trial, and sent to Arkham, with only one stop . . .
Arell had shot and killed four gangsters in cold blood . . . they had to pick him up on the way.
ARKHAM ASYLUM: PRESENT
Arell nodded understandingly. "Thanks, Doc. I'll keep things under control here . . . well as best I can anyways." Arell stated. Surprisingly he was doing a great job at keeping his anger under control . . . for now.
((Edited. Too nasty even for me . . . plus I didn't want to god-mod kill a person. CBJ is too good a person for that, and I'd rather not ruin a friendship over it.))

"Just trying to get a gauge on more detail. Usually I can get a little more information about the first time someone was met... or more detail about the person by asking such a question. I'll refrain from repetitive questions though, if that's what you prefer." Doctor Gray replied calmly.
"How about I rephrase the question then. Would you be willing to tell more about Rosie? Perhaps her relationship with Janet and why she's so protective of her?" she asked. "The police reports make it seem as though Janet would have... drastically different feelings for the child."
======================================
Misty stared wide-eyed back at Dundee. "He... he killed him? He killed Savage?" she asked, breathlessly.
"Yes." Stevens replied. "Butchered the man up and threatened to go after a 'Wilson Fisk' next."
Misty just stared at the two men. It was... very hard to tell what she was thinking right now, and she didn't look as though she was going to vocalize her thoughts any time soon.
