"It looks good on you, Lord Dragon. You wear it better than I ever did," the vampire answered honestly before unbuttoning the top two buttons of the deep red button-up shirt for Dragon. After brushing a few strands of hair out of Dragon's face, he gave the other male a thumbs up. He then took the time to briefly readjust the clip holding up his pale blue hair before seeming to take up a stance of being a soldier at attention. "Shall we?"

Dantes_river Hope you don't mind me posting here already :0 Dragon Dragon stumbled down the hallway, his entire body shaken up from the ride on the motorcycle. His legs felt like jelly, almost like when he let Lurtz drink his bloody. Pressing a hand to the wall to keep his balance, he took his sunglasses off and wince slightly at the bright lights, his eyes changing to metallic silver in the process.
"Th-Thanks for coming with me, Lurtz." he said with a small smile when he saw his blue-haired friend. "I don't think I would've been able to handle being there on my own."

We're friends after all and friends are supposed to be there for each other, or so it's said," Lurtz responded lightly while remaining a pace behind Dragon so as to be sure he didn't fall. This poor boy was given a motorcycle and yet he couldn't really walk right because of it right now. "Here, just-" His words cut off short as he snatched a sword out of thin air and swiped several knives out of the air before it could reach either him or Dragon.
xXxXx"Sharp as ever, baby brother. Dad's fixing to blow a gasket so you might want to get in there as soon as possible. You might not want to bring in your little pet there," a female voice giggled from just near Lurtz's apartment door. This got a slight roll of the eyes by the light blue haired vampire who never let the sword vanish as the black haired woman's knives had. "Go find your brainless boytoy, Jay, or go home, Veronica. I'm busy with other things than to spend time playing your game of tag. And he's not my pet, genius. He's my friend." "Harsh. I see why dad made sure to be here now. I'm surprised the real you hasn't scared the little scaredy-cat yet. It will, of course, as always but have fun with him until then. If you ever want a good time, pipsqueak, ask Lame-o Lurtz for my number." And with that, the female who appeared to be in her mid-twenties skipped off down the hall as if she hadn't just tried killing the two of them.
xXxXx"Sisters. Can't live with 'em, can't escape 'em... Be glad it was the youngest sister and not one of the older ones seeing as she only strikes once in hopes that I'll slip up and not pay attention. Let me know when you're prepared to go see the angry face of my dad in my apartment," he almost seemed to growl while sliding the sword into a sheath at his lower back that came into existence just as the whips at the wedding and the sword had. It was only now that he removed his sunglasses to expose the icy blue irises beneath it.

Dragon looked over at Lurtz when he saw something coming at him. Turning his head, he gasped at the sight of all the sharp objects shooting towards him and pressed himself against the wall out of fear. Fortunately for him, Lurtz caught them with relative ease and turned to talk to a woman that sort of reminded him of Lurtz.
Still shaken by what happened, Dragon looked at the two as they spoke. That lady - Veronica, was it? - was Lurtz's sister? Now that he thought about it, he never knew about Lurtz's family other than his father, and meeting his father and his sister, he wasn't sure he wanted to meet the rest!
Dragon tensed up, eyes turning light gray, when Veronica addressed him and gulped thickly when she walked away. He looked nervously over at Lurtz and relaxed only a fraction. He wanted to know what just happened, but something told him he had to wait. Looking over to Lurtz's apartment, Dragon gulped once more and nodded. Don't stutter, that's what he was instructed, and that's what he would do. Sucking up his worries and fears, he put on a brave face and nodded at his friend. "I'm... ready when you are." he said, though he was still plenty nervous.

"It's a game of tests, Lord Dragon, or at least to those in my family older than me. They tend to like seeing if I'll screw up and get hurt or have others get hurt with reckless abandon. The kindest one out of my family is me albeit I'm no saint. My mother's the only one who actually likes me out of all of them, but she never tries stopping anything my father does. Irritating, but true. You might want to stay a couple paces behind me also," Lurtz rumbled calmly while seeming to hesitate in unlocking the door. After it'd been said, however, he unlocked the door and went inside without the slightest bit of hesitation. The door, of course, he left open for Dragon to follow him inside.
xXxXx"You selfish, disobedient creature of filth! You could feel yourself slipping and you still opted to force me, your father and someone of higher status, to wait for your return with a pet! What do you have to say for yourself?" snapped an older, darker haired vampire appearing to be in his late thirties while seeming intent of pushing a sword down towards Lurtz's shoulder although the younger vampire had the blade pressed tightly between his hands and his legs braced firmly against the ground almost as if he'd been anticipating this upon his arrival.
xXxXx"And here we are again. Same move, same tactic as always when you're being told to wait a minute by anyone other than a nobleman of higher status much less royalty. If I do recall correctly, and I'm more than positive I do, you told me to never go back on my word no matter the price for it is dishonorable to be a liar. I made a promise to Dragon, sir, and I kept it just as I said I'd be here to you. Sure you had to wait a little while, but then again, you never specified a time other than after school. If anything, you're the one who's late," the younger male responded in a low growl before shoving the sword to the side and hitting the elder vampire with an upwards swing of the hand that connected with his lower jaw. Returning to standing up straight, Lurtz straightened up his shirt before taking up the militarized stance of attention.
xxxxx"You with your damn hands and freaky way of predicting things! Thing, hiding behind this young, disobedient lout, come here a moment. I've a question for you... As for you, Lurtz, return to at ease and think of the repercussions for having hit me as you did," the elder vampire practically spat while rubbing his lower jaw. "You were trying to kill me, sir. I took the necessary precautions to deal with the situation without leading to bloodshed. Be glad I didn't draw my sword on you as I did Lady Veronica and her childish behavior in the hallway," Lurtz retorted sharply while remaining rather stil,l minus the quick motion leading from one position to the other as directed, yet highly attentive. This answer was frowned upon yet seemingly ignored by his father who was now straightening his businessman attire from the brief fight between him and his only son.

Staying close to the doorway while keeping a respective distance behind Lurtz, Dragon barely registered the blade in the room until he saw the light blue-haired man grabbing it. He blinked. First Lurtz's sister attacked, and now his father? It was already explained that the family was vicious towards Lurtz, but he never thought they would try to actually attack him! Lurtz didn't even seem fazed by the attack - In fact, he looked as though he had been expecting it! Dragon hated his family, but at least they didn't attack him except for that one punch Adrian gave him, but he didn't think of him as family.
Hearing the older man bark at him, Dragon straightened up in place of cringing. He had to be strong, he had to be brave or else his friend would get in even more trouble! He gave Lurtz a quick glance for reassurance then looked to the father and walked towards the man. "Yes, sir?" he murmured in a light tone, trying desperately to maintain a strong look. It was difficult enough not stuttering, and even his expression was tinted with apprehension.

"He promised to protect you for friendship? And this, it doesn't scare you?" Lurtz's father questioned while ignoring the brief moment of tense muscles running up his son's entire bodyframe although it relaxed just as quickly as it'd tensed up. The light blue haired vampire was borderline telling Dragon not to answer as he already knew the answers, but instead just ran his tongue over his fangs behind his lips. His dad intended to drag this out.
xXxXx"Answer honestly, Dragon, including the time in which I taught those gentlemen at the wedding manners. I do not fear the truth of things. Nothing between us will change," Lurtz stated ever so calmly from where he stood. Without giving much time between what the younger vampire said, the vampiric nobleman's hand snapped out and made contact with Lurtz's face albeit he just shifted his face back to where he was facing forwards. The deep red already taking place on the left half of Lurtz's face seemed to have no real effect to making the younger vamp change position from standing at ease in the militarized position.
xxxxx"Still your tongue you insolent child. Thing, boy, your answer please before I deal with this disobedient son of mine," Lurtz's dad growled irritably while crossing his arms behind his back like how his son was standing. His son, of course, was ignoring tasting his own blood in his mouth from having bit the inside of his cheek when he'd been hit.

Scare him? Dragon leaned back slightly, his muscles growing tense. Instantly memories of the fight that happened during the wedding flashed in his memory. Those cold blue eyes, the deformities those men had become in the blink of an eye... How could he put that into words while still describing him as a friend?
It was as if Lurtz knew what was going on in his mind, the way he addressed that problem. Dragon looked at him over his shoulder the same time the father did, giving him an unsure look. His eyes changed fire red and part of his dark brown hair shifted just a fraction from the speed the father performed to slap Lurtz. He didn't even realize what happen until he saw the red mark on his face. He was just about to ask about it when he heard that deep and commanding voice shooting at him like a spear to the back.
Dragon turned around and looked at Lurtz's father worriedly, yet he still tried to stay strong. Because he forced himself to keep eye contact, he began rubbing his arm to steady his growing nerves. "There was... a time when he scared me." he answered softly and narrowed his eyes nervously, his eyes turning midnight blue with starlight sparkles in them. "He attacked these men who were making fun of us, and the way he handled them was, well, almost like something I would see in a horror movie. But... But that hasn't changed my view of him at all. He's still been there for me whenever no one else was. He's my best friend, and I'll never be scared of him." Dragon answered with a soft smile. "Besides, I have secrets I'm sure are terrifying, too, and I know Lurtz wouldn't think any differently of me if he learned them." The hand rubbing his arm drifted to his wrist for a moment when he spoke of secrets, but it went back up when he awaited the father's reaction.

Don't worry, whatever it is you are, I'll be leaving soon and this ice sculpture here will be back to how he was before you met this darker side," Lurtz's father responded with a slightly surprised tone. Not bothering with noting his son's quick shift to the militarized stance of attention, the elder male gently pat Dragon on top of the head as if he were one of his many daughters. "When I do leave, young Dragon, I wouldn't suggest you remind Lurtz to breathe for at least two weeks and yet keep the medkit under the kitchen sink prepared for use. He'll need it. This is also a lovely chance to give him a haircut." And with that rather cheerful albeit calm statement, the elder vampire started off towards the bathroom.
xXxXx"Take a seat and relax. I'll be back shortly albeit I'll be sure not to trail blood through the apartment behind me," Lurtz rumbled lowly before following after the elder vampire. While it was perhaps a little too honest, he'd need Dragon's assistance for a few dance seeing as how much energy being reset as an obedient soldier drained out of him. Normally his mother would've been around during this time, but due to this being away from home, his father must've not let her leave the house. Once again, his father was deliberately tormenting him and had originally had the intent of making him try dragging himself out of a deep dreamless slumber to go to school.

Seeing the hand moving towards him, Dragon winced slightly and braced himself for a hit. Much to his surprise, the hand rested at the top of his head for a brief moment in a gentle tap. Dragon blinked in surprise - his eyes turning purple - and slowly looked up at the man. Don't remind Lurtz to breathe? He didn't need to breathe? Medkit? Haircut? He didn't even know how to cut hair...
He blankly watched the man walk off then turned when he heard Lurtz's voice. "Oh, uh... O-Okay." he stammered. The blue-haired man seemed off, almost as if he was uncomfortable or upset. Dragon couldn't explain it, but he had a bad feeling about all this. Without even realizing it, he reached out and grabbed hold of the other's sleeve. "Lurtz," he started in a concerned tone. "Promise me... Promise me that everything will be okay."

Hearing him ask for a promise that he couldn't completely fulfill, he flashed a brief flicker of a half-smile only to lightly shake his head at him. "I can't really promise you that, Dragon. I can promise you I'll live, of course, but I might have some issues for the next two weeks which may require needing some assistance from you. An example of this would be getting up for school and avoiding direct contact with the sun for extended periods of time. It hurts like a b***h when I can't throw up a UV ray barrier. Other than that, don't worry about me, alright? I've grown used to this kind of treatment as it's part of how I was raised. Just don't get all surprised if I avoid eye contact and remain quiet unless spoken to," Lurtz responded as gently as he could manage through that somewhat cold, low voice of his.
xXxXx"Are you making me wait again, boy? You should be glad I'm kind enough to be sure not to stain anything in this apartment much less scar your little friend for life," Lurtz's father growled making the icy gaze of the younger vampire shift away from Dragon after patting him gently on the shoulder. "I apologize, sir. Lord Dragon asked a question and it would've been rude not to respond. Please don't involve him for my mistakes..." And with that said and done, alongside a nod of approval from his father, Lurtz gently removed Dragon's hand from his sleeve. "I don't want you to get hurt because I let my obedience slip in public. Just sit on the couch and watch some tv or something and I'll be back shortly."

Dragon, too, looked over to where Lurtz's father was when he heard him, but then looked at his friend when given the pat on the shoulder. He reluctantly allowed his hand to be removed from the sleeve, but the concern emanating from him never left. A nod was his only reply for Lurtz, and he watched him leave to his father.
Stranded alone, Dragon looked around and soon found himself staring at the TV and the couch besides it. Watch some TV... He walked towards the couch and seated himself against the cushions with a sharp exhale. Picking up the remote resting on the table, he turned the TV on and began flipping through channels. He intended to find something to distract himself from the real matter at hand, but he found himself staring blandly at an infomercial as his thoughts drifted to Lurtz and his father. What were they doing right now? What on earth could Lurtz's father do that would make Lurtz so different as they both described? Would he even be the same when Dragon saw him again?

The sound of heavy footsteps echoed through the apartment along with Lurtz's father's gruff voice speaking aloud deliberately so Dragon would hear his every word.
xXxXx"Clean yourself up, Lurtz. As always, you're the biggest disgrace to the family and I'll never understand why your mother begged me not to kill you when you were younger," were the venomous words that passed through the man's lips before he paused near the living room, his dark gaze shifting ever so quickly to Dragon. "He's still in there if you're so worried about him, boy. Do remind him while he's still lucid that he's on feeding probation for the next two weeks and that I'll know if he breaks the probation period. I was lenient this time." And with that, the front door opened and the elder vampire vanished completely without the slightest bit of hesitation. As soon as the door shut once more in a quick bang, there came a hint of a shuffle from the bathroom followed by the shower cutting itself off, more shuffling and then a thunk as if something had fallen.

Dragon snapped out of his thoughts when he heard footsteps coming towards him. He snapped his head in the direction it came from and began rising from his seat, but stopped when he saw that it was the father. He hesitated when the father began speaking. A disgrace... Just how much abuse did Lurtz go through as a child? Dragon watched the father leave and stared at the doorway for a moment, lost in thought until he heard the thud nearby. Thoughts immediately racing to his friend, Dragon rushed over to the bathroom and looked inside frantically. "Lurtz?" he gasped.
