Heconaru after walking for what seemed for an eon he finally made it to the school from what he gathered this place seemed to be rather large due to the amount of schools that it had possessed, well this should be fun maybe these folks will accept me for me . he thought to himself rather calmly. there seemed to be either some sort of bout or friendly conversation up ahead but did not want to dare to intervene. he did not like to be rude after all.

He proceeded to make a sheet of ice that jutted out in front of him. this sheet seemed to only go around five feet as he made what looked to be like ice skates. he proceeded to skate to the length of ice as it seemed to move with him so that he would not run out of room. as he made his stroll around the campus looking at all the people with some interest but not staring overly long at any of them. He began to twirl a ice rose in his hands as he then casted light through it in a particular way as to make a prism shine out of many different and vibrant colors.

Ren followed and did what the goddess said. He sat in a chair but instead of paying attention to her his interest was on the two fighting. He had never seen abilities like them. One was joining two weird color balls of some sort energy. He was curious as to what they were doing. He wondered if all fighters were like this. Ren had never fought anyone, he had never even been hostile to another person once in his life. He didn't know what it was like to be angry or to hurt someone. He was at a huge disadvantage. He knew what it was like to be hated and he had seen people angry but he had never felt theses before. His parents believed in a peaceful life. He sighed and then returned his attention to the Goddess as she spoke of procedures. He was to keep his badge out, not lose his Pass, and he was to make sure he got his assigned room. Seemed easy enough for even someone like Ren to do. " Um Excuse me Ma'am could you explained to me what i'm seeing down there. I can't really understand what i'm looking at. My eyes are telling me one things but my mind says its impossible. I mean how can someone shoot black beams out of their hands. Or Grow a ball of energy like substance? I've never seen nor have i heard of it before." He said it was obvious he was new and sheltered.

Ren seemed to understand a bit but he was still so shocked by what was happening. " Man i wish i had cool moves like that. To be honest i got nothing. I can't even use my 'power' " He said making air quotations when he said power. Ren sadly had never used his power by his own will. It Happen once spontaneously and that was the last time it happen. Though when his power manifested he made a mini-mountain. He sighed he wasn't going to fit in here he knew it. " So if your Ice, He is Fire, and the other one is Darkness. Does that mean there are all sorts of Powers? " He asked curiously he knew his father was able to move the very earth and his mother could make the wind do her bidding. Ren was showing signs of pure interest now. He couldn't wrap his brain around all theses strange powers.

Ren looked to Alestial and nodded. That made much more sense to him and he could understand how balance was important. " How Do you guys keep balance here so well? I mean there has to be some that think their power is better then others. Hubris is a curse that effects all with power." He said as he remembered his father use to tell him that. He didn't understand it before but watching this battle he could see how someone could think they were all powerful. " I guess i'm just a bit scared. " He said taking no shame in admitting it. " I come from such a peaceful area i would never see this stuff there. Not out in the open only hidden." He said as he looked out at the spar and then over at the Goddess. " How will i learn? Do you by chance know? I mean will it be like learning from a book? Or is there like a teacher? " He felt bad he had so many questions and he felt like he was bothering her. " Um feel free to tell me to stop. I can't help my curious side" He said it was hard to stop being curious when you came from such a sheltered village..

Ren looked a bit shocked at her confidence in him. She must be joking if she thought he would ever be good enough to be the Earth God. He smiled though it was nice to have someone who actually thought he could do something with his life. He smiled and looked out at the fight he wondered how long it was going to last he wanted to begin his learning. For the first time in years he felt like he had a future laid out ahead of him.

When Thanatos sent the blast of darkness towards the swirling orb, it did as he predicted. It was absorbed, but it would not lose it's form. Instead, an equally powerful blast of light would be sent back at Thanatos through a portal that would open up right in front of him. In truth, the giant orb was only a disguise. It was a thin, weak layer of the two elements.
Inside he used technique passed to him by his mother that involved using the two elements like magnets. "Being opposite elements only makes them more attracted to each other. For example; if you fought darkess with darkess it would only result in darkness. The same rule applies with light, but when the two are introduced to each other with an intent other than destruction; a beautiful occurance takes place," his voice resonated to Thanatos.
Within the barrier, he balanced the two elements in a rather small orb of the same elements. They were not merged in a swirl, but rather they rotated around each other; connected at the center. In all sense, it was yin and yang. When the blast of darkness entered through the thin outer orb, Shinta allowed it to be transfered through something similar to a spider's web. It was transfered to the orb which he held, and through that Shinta measured the magnitude of dark energy Thanatos had thrown at him, and sent it back as light.

Uki shook his head as Shinta's attack showed its true face. "The sheer fact that you have to resort to using smoke and mirror techniques demonstrates a lack in true ability. The fact that you are also resorting to using elements which you have a weaker affinity to, will make the attack you just created a worthless one. It is unfortunate, but I'm sure that you have already lost this battle." He voiced in a disappointed tone. He simply would continue to stand there and watch as he was interested in Thanatos's reaction and response to this attack that he felt to be weak.

As the ice goddess ensured that the guardians would not harm them, and were only here for protection, the boy frowned slightly. What fun was there to be in experimenting when there was no risk involved? His mouth stretched thin as he contemplated if it was even worth the effort. But eventually he decided that he needed to have his curiosity satisfied. He then went to contemplate which area to sneak off into, trying to decide which element he would have the best of luck fighting. After some thought, he decided ice, ironically. He figured his basic knowledge of for magic would help him counter some attacks, while still not going against the opposite to his major element, allowing some surprise advantage. After he had finished calculating his plan, he looked to the ice goddess and smiled, simply saying "oh ok then. That's good to know."
