Bastion started to shuffle and drag his feet as they headed up the line, and into the ride. When Lifen led them into the flume, Bastion shifted in the seat over and over, feeling the wetness through the thin cloth covering on his legs that passed for pants in this world. He bent forward, his finger lifting as he prepared to mention to the two ladies that this ride seemed to have a watery component, but the ride jolted to a start before he could say a word or offer to take the front and protect them. He sat back, and watched, in horror, as the show unfolded before them.

"FOUL BEASTS, STAY BACK." Bastion growled, his hackles rising as they floated closer to the little singing animals. This place was a nightmare. "I will dispatch you with my bare hands if you dare move - AHHHH I SEE YOU THERE." One had snuck up on him, popping up nearby, and his hands flipped around in attack position. They floated away, and he growled, making predatory faces each time they came across another singing animal.

"If I didn't value subterfuge in this situation, I would summon my sword and kill them all for you." He muttered, without looking at or realizing that Mjoll was right there in front of him, able to hear his every word. Too busy threatening animatronics, bbl.

The ride had its bumps, and with each bump, Bastion was slapped in the face with a spray of dark and light hair. He didn't complain, but his face deadpanned each time the ladies bitchslapped him with their hair. The man behind him, in the fourth seat, laughed riotously at his misfortune.

And then came the dip. He could see that they were moments away from that treacherous fall, though they'd done nothing wrong to be punished. When they reached the pinnacle, Bastion's eyes grew wide, and he squealed like a child, popping up from his seat. This was, perhaps, the worst thing you could do at a moment like this, so as soon as they tilted forward, he fell forward and bent in, curling the entire front of his body around Mjoll.

Later, when they exited the ride, he would claim, red faced and bubbling with apology, that he'd been protecting her from the water. It certainly looked like that, since he left the ride with a soaking wet back, a lost hat, and the memory of a dry princess in his arms.

Mjoll's stare deadpanned when Lifen's look said this was going to suck. Mjoll already was figuring on being drowned or some other maiming going on. While Bastion, started clamoring loudly behind her about the foul beasts.

She frowned heavily, "I don't think they're real." She muttered rubbing her temples, she felt a stress headache coming on and the man behind Bastion laughing wasn't helping matters either she didn't notice her hair smacking the poor horseman in the face, "Oi, if you keep up your laughter human I will have no choice but to use your tongue in my next crafting." She threatened the man in the back of the log.

Which promptly shut him up. It probably would also gain her a restraining order, which wouldn't be much use.

There were a few bumps, and some jarring. Nothing too horrible up until the time when they started to drop a very fast rate of speed. There was a hiss and Mjoll ducked, though she felt Bastion grab at her. Had they not been plummeting to their deaths she would've pried his sorry carcass off her. Mainly because he was screaming like a little filly in her ear.

"FOR JACKS SAKE." She practically yelled when they got off that horrid ride. "Next time you cling to me and you're screaming your little heart out like a filly I'm going to cut your tongue out." She was rubbing her ears. "I think you busted my ear drum." She complained moving over to Lifen. The only good thing about the braids and flowers Mjoll had in her hair was it kept her hair from being in her face.....

[ Tomorrowland~ ]

Jay groaned. “Okay, I think I’ll take another crack at this another time,” she declared as she was set free from her seatbelt. She hopped out of the ride and motioned for the Famine horseman to follow her. “Perhaps we can explore this strange place instead. It’s a good idea to be familiar with the layout of the area. You never know when it’ll come in handy.” Her dress twirled slightly as she twisted her shoulders while walking down the pathway.

Her eyes lit up when she spotted another familiar face. “Kiwi!” The glee fled her eyes when she recalled he had been the one to push her and Senga out of the barrel. Couldn’t he have been more careful about that at least? “Well, three is a good number to travel in, and unfortunately know. I thought it’d be good to just explore for a bit first.” She pointed toward a store. “Let’s check that place out.” Jay half-nodded toward the store and stepped inside. She crinkled her nose when she realized it contained lots of…toys? And peculiar merchandise. She scrutinized a particular green toy before casually throwing a couple at Fai and Kiwi.

Shaheen continued to tug her mostly unwilling soon to be partner in crime along, when they were suddenly approached by a woman. She could only assume it was another horseman, noting with a quick glance over that she was vaguely familiar, but beyond that having no idea who it could be. But she knew Senga's name, at least, and she was asking if she could join them.

"Of course." The chieftain gone hipster replied with a tight smile and a nod of her head. The smile itself only looked out of place because of how pained her expression was, the joy of the area straining her already frazzled nerves. "Safety in numbers."

Really it might have been better if they'd spread out to find the fluffy little beasts that were on the loose, considering how much ground they had to cover and how many places there were for them to hide in. But selfishly, Shaheen did not wish to be alone, not in this place, not with these loud and aggravating bags of flesh scurrying about with their wailing whelps in tow.

They had stopped at a long lineup, and the chieftain turned and craned herself up, then leaned to the side to try and see what the holdup was.

"I just thought it might give us a better view of the area, that a boat on the river might cover more ground then just walking." She grumped, arms coming up to cross over her chest as she finally released Senga's hand. Of course, they would be stuck in a world without wings, again. If she could just fly overhead, she was sure they would be done this ridiculous task by now.

In the distance, she could hear a sudden fanfare, and many of the humans began scurrying away, leaving the lineup and hurrying off elsewhere. Music began to blare, and she caught snippets of conversation concerning some kind of "parade" as people passed.

"I suppose if you prefer, we could try climbing a tree."

If only she knew of the giant tree house in the near vicinity, she might have done just that.

In any case, the line had just shortened significantly.

Senga rumbled as the line shortened significantly, turning his head towards the commotion with a curious brow. "Ahh, what is wrong with these things." He grunted, adjusting the glasses when they slipped down the bridge of his nose again, which in turn made the slouching beanie slide down over his unruly tawny hair. "Aaah!" He gave up trying to comb the mussy look into something presentable and glowered instead - at a five year old kid waiting in front of him in line.

The icecream cone sticking out from the boys lips quickly fell to the ground and he screamed, yanking his parents out of line as soon as Senga took a threatening step forward to shut him up.

Senga was definitely not a child person, apparently.

Grunting, The boy folded his arms over his chest, appearing the part of a particularly obstinate teenager being dragged along by his two equally grumpy mothers. Or sisters. Whichever worked better. "These ******** humans," He muttered, nudging a particularly slobbery four year old out of his way when she ducked beneath his feet. "Why can't we just commandeer one of the boats - oh."

He turned to Shaheen and Nergui. "Let's commandeer one of the boats."

Seeing as the line was significantly shortened, this seemed like a good idea. Anyways, climbing trees without wings sounded taxing, and maybe the body of water opened into somewhere more open where they could get a better view of the park.

"I don't want to climb a tree." He rumbled in response with a scowl. "Without wings it would be a chore." He grabbed both Nergui and Shaheen by the elbows and tugged them forward, nearly barreling over a few unaccompanied minors in the process. He didn't bother to pay attention to the people tending to the boats, instead leaping into one as soon as he got close enough and tugging the two women with him.

"There - " He turned to Shaheen and Nergui, raising a brow. He ignored the guide, and the other pedestrians on board for the moment. If they got too annoying, he could just toss them overboard. "Now we're on a boat. How fast do you think it goes?"

Spoiler: not fast at all.

Senga was in for the time of his life.

TOMORROWLAND

"Kiwi," he said in greeting to the other famine before Jay tossed him the toy. "A... material version of a minipet?" Fai asked as he looked at the toy, turning it from side to side. He looked around, seeing a little human child carrying one somewhat like it. "Ah, a scareling's toy," he said, digging through his pockets. He pulled out a small razorblade. "Shall we see what's inside, my friends?"

The razor was already slicing through the material as he asked that. Cotton and foam came out of the toy. "How... boring," he said as he dug through it and found nothing. "You would think they'd at least include a surprise."

(( frontierland - outside of splash mountain still ))

The ride was weird at best. A lot of happy singing things, some mechanical voices and, at the end...a very long watery drop into what looked like thorned vines. Okay so that last part wasn't do bad! Imagine his dismay when they coasted just under the thorns and a glance up told him they were fake.

Hmph.

So now he was wet, disappointed, and yet still oddly thrilled at the fall itself. It was like a more controlled sand surfing, he supposed: it was important to look for the good in the horrible, after all. Ying's giggles were contagious and he found himself chuckling a few times despite himself and the situation.

"That was--ah..." His turn to view his companion showed him a little more of her than he meant to see. That shirt...he could see her...ahem. Oh dear. Now what? "Your shirt is...hrm." Sal cleared his throat, pointedly looking away from her as he fumbled with the zipper to his outer layer, peeling the colourful piece of clothing off of him to instead drape it on her shoulders.

"There." It was important to protect her modesty, after all.

War Adventureland

Nergui's shoulders relaxed ever so slightly as Shaheen welcomed her into the tiny group, and she returned the tight lipped smile. Her own expression nearly identical, and for the same reasons. The joy in this horrible place was pliable, and it was all the priestess could do to keep from scrubbing at exposed skin. As if that would remove the taint.

"I'm Nergui," she offered, grateful for the chance to surround herself with her own, rather then be forced to venture among the humans alone.

The line they shuffled into was given a curious look, and Neru had to agree with Shaheen. This place was huge, and from the small amount she'd seen so far, packed, as well as maze like. They'd be wandering around in circles for hours looking for whatever it was Medea had managed to lose in this place.

She too looked up as the humans began to scurry from the very line they were lingering in. Jocking for placement along either side of what was now recognizable as a street. She didn't know what a parade was, but the effect it had on the humans was intriguing. If they could harness that...

Wait, trees? "I don't climb trees." Correction, the death priestess didn't know how to climb trees. Nergui had never had wings, and there hadn't been any reason good enough to see the woman attempting to shimmy her way up the trunk of a tree. She was a priestess of death, they did not climb.

Thankfully the problem resolved itself. As soon as Senga noticed the shortened line he grabbed either mare by the elbow and steered them forward until they could climb into a boat along with a few humans. The later was giving a cold look, but she only spared them a second of attention before the colt's question pulled her back. "Good question. I wonder also how we control it?" She didn't see a wheel, or a rudder, or anything..

[ frontierland ]

Her shirt was ...? Pretty? Fitting? Ugly, but she made it pretty?

Ying glanced down. Oh. That was none of those things.

Her arms were stiff and robotic as she took the jacket from him. This was just plain embarrassing. She'd been defaced. How could she ever live this down? How could she return home as though nothing happened? She would never bring honor to her family now. Never.

She tightly knotted the hoodie down, and took a few steps ahead of him. Words came out mechanically, formally. "Th-Th-Thank you Mr. Salbei," she said quickly. "It is very kind of you to ... to do that. We should go find the foxfire now." Her tone definitely implied that for her, their little pseudo-date had ended.

(( frontierland ))

Just like that her demeanor changed. Not that he could blame her, he imagined that sort of thing would be horrifying and embarrassing for a female...but it was still sad to see. Especially since it was an accident, just a bad mix of a light fabric and water.

"Sal." He repeated stubbornly. Despite what happened he wasn't going to treat her any different, it wasn't like she had meant for it to happen, so why would it change a thing? "And you're welcome, my dear. Accidents happen, no harm done." Easy for him to say, really. His thin hand once more found the top of her head, patting her wet mass of hair as he had before. Her suggestion wasn't a bad one of course, they did still have to scour the place for their mission, and once more he looked over her head to see what was still around. What he saw was...nothing sort of disturbing.

"...What do you suppose that is?" The disgust was clear in his voice, his attention locked on the colourful floats and creatures clearly headed their way.

[Tomorrow never dies but everyone you love does Land]

Soren looked to where Tseng was pointing, not sure if it the building was that important or if it was just Tseng being...Tseng. Still, Tseng normally knew what he was doing, and he was a strong ally.

But honestly he didn't know about the building or why it said what it did. "We should check it out," he mused aloud, not sure if Tseng would agree but moving into the building with the swarms of humans, somehow getting directed to a single riders line.

Several minutes later and he was...slightly confused. He thought he had seen a bit of fur on the ride, but as to what the thing was...humans were strange and mysterious creatures. "Did you..." He really didn't even know what to say. Apparently humans needed to get their thrills somehow.

((Adventureland-jungle cruise? whhyyyyyy))

Shaheen was heavily considering the tree climbing possibilities. She liked trees. She liked climbing them, she liked perching on them, and she didn't always use her wings to get up in them because it was much more rewarding to do it with nothing more then raw strength and muscle power.

But the other two seemed hesitant to outright disgusted with the notion, so she blinked golden eyes away from the rather tall and branchy tree she had been eyeing to look back at the other two.

"Very well then, I thin---" But there was to be no time for thinking as Senga spoke of commandeering and grabbed her by the elbow to pull her along. A small smile alighted her face at the thought of their very own boat. They could over throw the captain and the crew and sail off into the sunset!

As they leaped aboard, Shaheen shrugged her shoulders, rolling them back in an automatic motion used when stretching her wings, which at the moment were non-existent, and ignored the looks they were receiving from the humans aboard.

"I'm sure it will sail us to our destination swift and true." She proclaimed, while receiving yet more odd looks from the passengers. She was directed by the human at the front of the boat that she should sit down and she raised an eyebrow at him imperiously. Bossed around by a human? She didn't think so!

Still, it seemed they refused to begin until the three were at least "safely seated", so she grudgingly found a place to sit down.

And then the journey began.

And it was horribly, hideously slow. And the man did a lot of talking and pointing to various, obviously fake wildlife situated within the trees and bushes, while telling jokes, and the rest of the cattle laughed, and the children squealed, and Shaheen was about ready to punch several faces when something flashed out of the corner of her eye, something that bounded off into the bush. Something that was quite obviously wearing a knit sweater and was very much real.

"There it is!" She announced, standing up abruptly from her seat, and several people around her either craned around to look while the man who didn't stop talking for an instant told her to please sit back down.

And she did, grudgingly, eyes scanning the shore once more for any other hints.

"It's time. We must take the ship down." She hissed to the other two, attempting to summon her dagger to hand but finding she was unable to do so. Probably too much Joy in the air, and not enough Fear to give her the power to do so. She scowled at her empty hand, then abruptly stood up again and ran for the front of the boat, grabbing the man, the self proclaimed "skipper", and tossed him overboard with a mighty war cry.

Chaos broke loose at that point. People screaming exclamations, children crying, shouting, bustling bodies. She knocked a few more that came out of their seats to restrain her away, then climbed onto the edge of the boat and threw herself into the water herself, swimming until she reached the shore that she had caught sight of the foxfire on, and pulling herself up and out of the water.

She just assumed the other two would follow her at this point.

Tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow

"Yes! Lets go!" he said while picking up his step to head towards the one building. There were a lot of humans here. It seemed to be quite a line.

"Why are there so many people filed up for this?" he blinked while waiting. Inside was just as strange as the outer parts, and it only piqued his curiosity even further. When it was time for the ride, Tseng was well... thrilled. This was FUN. Though, it was still rather odd to him that the humans would set up something like this.

Sometime during the ride, he spotted something fluffy that was a bit out of place from the rest of the ride.

Jittering after they were off, he was ready to continue the search when Soren brought up something.

"Did I? You mean.. that fluffy thing that was in the ride? Yes I thought that was rather peculiar as well. Would you like to go back in and try and get another look?"

It may or may not have been an excuse to ride again.

[ frontierland - parade ]

Ying glowered at the ground in embarrassment, her face a very severe shade of red. It wasn't the heat causing it, but she would definitely blame it on that later.

She looked up to where Salbei was gesturing, and saw a parade with ... horses? "HORSEMEN! OUR BRETHREN HAVE COME TO AID US!!!!!!" Ying was adamant that those were horsemen. Here. Come to kill everyone. "But ... why are they not moving ..."

Ying went back to Salbei. "S-Salbei, we must help them! They are paralyzed ... or ... or ..."

[Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I'll love you, Tomorrow! Unfortunately you'll still be dead then.]

"Probably need to," Soren said. At least it was cool inside the ride. This time as they stood in line he noticed humans walking up with slips of paper and getting shuffled to a shorter line. He watched for several long minutes before turning to Tseng. "Should have taken them out for the papers."

He was completely unaware of the look the woman in front of him gave him as she pulled her child closer.

The sudden turns of the ride meant that Soren couldn't quite keep track of things, not able to really try to snag the ball of fluff, if it was even there. It was disconcerting, not knowing where they were going, and his stomach was feeling slightly queasy by the time they got off. Hopefully Tseng had seen nothing and there would be no reason to go back on the ride.
