The truth still seemed painful on her ears, giving Erebus an ever-so-sad look. It wasn't really pity, persay, but there was just sadness to be had. "Being lonely is unkind." she replied, giving his hand a squeeze and smiling meekly. "I hope we do fix that before thi-" she went silent as music began to float through her head, making her flinch. Something about the entire 'speech' they were given felt like knives stabbing into her head.
Feeling Erebus' hand squeeze hers, Tomoko squeezed it back, a small terrified shiver running through her, leaving her arms shaking even after they were apparently relinquished with their due cause: gather or be destroyed. If she hadn't noticed their newcomers before, Tomoko certainly was taking special note of those who seemed to not quite belong there - not that they couldn't belong, but they certainly were out of place in their own way.
She looked to the Gatekeeper with a guarded expectation - she wasn't sure if any of the places they could go to sounded safe, persay, but she would be a fool to try and play it safe at the risk of greater undoing for all of them. "I'll go wherever you will have me." she spoke up, not quite brave - as the look on her face was still that of uncertainty - but she couldn't help but pass a glance towards Erebus again.
He felt safe to her.

Now confident that the Lost would be willing to find their way home, the Gatekeeper turned to address his kingdom. He knew their talents well, matched them to each of them as easily as names to faces, and hoped that this might give them the opportunity to see the skills within themselves that he did. They were destined for greatness, and this was the chance.
"You've heard The Voice, everyone! What a day! You've been given your gifts - one from me, one from The Voice - and now it's time for us all to prove our gratitude! It asks just for Miasma in return. That's easy enough for a group as great as you, right?"
Thrilled with their inevitable success, he weaved through the crowd, tapping each of them on the head or shoulder or arm or closest available bit of body like the most morbid game of duck, duck, goose. He called their names as he went, each piped up as cheerfully as the one before it.
"So! To the Silver Kingdom goooo...Erebus...Tomoko...Joachim...Erintis...Agsilved...Temes...and Millie. To the Labyrinth go Sparrow...Jove...Jack...Petra...Soren...Saya...Foehn. And with you I'll send..." He paused to turn back towards the Lost, gesturing towards Alastair, Harland, Crispin, Vaska, and Sayid. "I think you'll benefit each other really well! And finally, to the Valley, go...Remi...Henry...Sherry....Nyrikki...and you," he finished, smiling towards the little one who had taken the tiny broken key. "Watch out for each other, but for yourselves too. Everyone comes back, okay?"

Not only did she get an amazing (broken) key of her very own, she was given a new name: You.
biggrin Yay!
. . .
D: wait HEY!
Oh of course. She didn't introduce herself. Bah, formalities. It would seem that it was time for something big to go down. Truth be told, Popo had not paid a whole lot of mind to what anyone had been talking about. Whispers of a trial and defending the Kingdom Blah Blah Blah.
Easy Peasy, bro!

She squeezed Erebus' hand again when the Gatekeeper deemed that the two of them would both be going to the remains of the Silver kingdom together. There was a small sigh of relief, in fact, that accompanied the gesture as Tomoko looked to Erebus again. "Looks like we're sticking together."
Yet despite that relief, Tomoko still trembled visibly. So many big and important things were happening all at once, and she wasn't entirely sure she was ready.
"I'll...I'll follow you..." she added in a whisper.

He realized his mouth was still hanging open when the king of Violet Kingdom had finished his speeches. He'd glanced nervously once or twice towards the tall, imposing black figures; just looking at them sent a chill down his spine.
But what of our kingdom?! he wanted to shout, but then promptly realized that there was no kingdom left for them. Crispin looked pleadingly towards Alastair and Harland, afraid for them and what those dark figures meant, but he knew they'd made their choice.
He glanced back towards the other remaining silvers in his group, feeling oddly bereft. He wasn't ready to make a decision yet. He still felt kinship to his people, even though he knew he had to follow the king's orders for the moment and get down to work-- at least to protect this temporary home.
"I'll... go on ahead," he muttered. "I'll meet the rest of you there."

So it had begun already.... it seems their Henry was not all doom and gloom without cause.
Or many Remi had just been optimistic.
It seemed though he had been wrong about the timing, not that the kitsune would ever admit that. He felt his body tense up as the names started to be called. While he knew a few of the names being spoken, he also knew that he could not protect them all. When he heard his name called out, his ears pricked forward at the other names that followed. A smile on his face, he looked around finding the ones whom had been called to the Valley.
Before leaving though, Remi kneeled down and patted Jove on the head, removing the boy from his pile of tails. "You stay safe ok?" He was not sure how he felt to see such a young one go in to battle.
[Exit to the Labrynth! ((Possbly while getting down to the soundtrack of said same movie.))] Sayid was not, currently, prepared to bow his head to the idea that where they had landed was now home. He wasn't some windblown seed that took root the moment it landed. He'd never done so before, and he wasn't yet prepared to take on a new kingdom offhandedly without first concluding if it felt like a good place to stay. He was, however, prepared to try and prevent another location from crashing down around his ears. Aside from orders from on high, it was something to DO. He hated being idle, and there was nothing to focus on right now to make him feel less idle that wasn't, largely 'moping'.
He wasn't fond of that activity either.
"Acquaintance, Friend, what have you. Survivor is still a nice title, and I'll use that one until I decide on another. We'll do our best."
Horrible speech. Just HORRIBLE and he knew it. It couldn't have sounded more hackneyed if he'd flogged a thesaurus, but he didn't care. He had things to DO.

Soren accepted his key, slipping it onto the chain around his neck until it settled next to the ring, the metal resting on his chest. He nodded wordlessly at the instructions, moving off to do what was needed of him.
It was good to see the two had followed her, though she'd been a bit distracted tying the ribbon and key to the girl's arm. Still, she glanced towards Rikki with an approving nod when he gave his name as well. Useful for her own knowledge, and perhaps more people around would help the little one speak..? Not that she was the only silent one. Agsil turned a little to better get a look at the second man (Joachim). "What of you? Less you'd rather not speak your name." Or simply can't. She couldn't see any of the purple metal across his throat, so that at least took out visible neck injuries to keep him from talking...
That was when the Voice began to speak. The music had been enough to startle the girl, even as she'd remained where she knelt. But the voice... that had been... chilling? Exhilarating? Her eyes were wide, bright purple irises bright as her smile grew. Gather miasma, keep the kingdom safe. Easy enough. The Gatekeeper was clearly ecstatic for what transpired. The idea that their kingdom could fall didn't really seem to occur to Agsil as she listened to the new assigned positions.
Joachim and Temes. Though she was disappointed it was the Gatekeeper to say their names rather than hear it from their own lips, least she had her answers. Silver Kingdom, huh? She thought of the flicker of images she'd seen as the Voice had spoken. It would be.... very interesting to see this fallen kingdom.
What do the dead have to fear on the battlefield?
Her own words rang through her head, bringing her to laugh and clap her hands together. A grin was sent towards Rikki. "Looks like we get to have fun sooner than expected. Too bad you'll be elsewhere." She meant it as a joke, a smirk forming on her features. She'd never had a reason to make such an expression before. It felt... fitting. Her hand moved to his shoulder again, resting for a moment as a more serious mood crossed her. "Look forward to hearing the tale when you get back."
To Joachim and Temes she gave lighter looks to, rising to her feet. "This shouldn't be difficult. Grab the miasma, get back... see what else there is to find while we're there. No problem." Optimism could be a powerful thing, couldn't it?

Sparrow smiled at Jack, leaning over to gently bump his shoulder into the other's.
"Always," he said, and squeezed his arm affectionately, flashing his friend a smile. There were many in the kingdom for whom he held high regard, but the one called Jack had always proved to be one of his most trusted and closest friends. "Brothers in arms until the end. Or the beginning, whichever comes first."
The Voice made him start, Sparrow's hand dropping slowly away from Jack's arm, absently smoothing his fingers against his wrist, which, beneath the pristine white shirt, lay the mark of his key.
Gather miasma. It seemed simple enough, but since when was life ever simple? It was, however, to protect the kingdom, protect the people and everything in it - everyone in it. His eyes strayed to Jack again, and to Remi, to the boy who did not speak, to several others, and he pressed his lips together in concern. His heart felt heavy, his body tense, but still he stepped forward, ducking his head in a small bow of respect to the Gatekeeper.
"And on we shall go," he said lightly, offering him a smile. "We will protect what is ours."

Sparrow is a mild-mannered, calm and kind gentleman who rarely gets mad and who would much rather put your needs before his own. He is quite loyal to the kingdom and is very easygoing and friendly.

Something about the way that the King of Purple smiled made Harland extremely uneasy. He leaned in towards Kitty and suggested: "Perhaps we should be... a little more hesitant?"
Harland looked meaningfully at the King, and added, "Your Majesty, I respectfully request an additional day or so to grieve for our lost Kingdom." And then, perhaps, he would give in and find a new home in the Violet Kingdom. He was just suddenly a little nervous.
And at least they were assigned to the same place. "All the same, I will gather Miasma as best I can for the sake of this Kingdom," he added, and excused himself, offering a handshake to the King before realizing perhaps it was a little rude, and excusing himself with an awkward smile.
He loitered and waited for Crispin and Alastair to be ready to go.
Then, Harland Leander Belle was on his way.

Once again, Petra was silent throughout the inspection, equally as unreachable as she received her key. Midnight blue eyes merely flicked to the Gatekeeper as he handed her his gift, her hand extending slowly, as if moving through water, to take it, fingers curling quietly around the item. She might as well have been a golem -- although her soul was there, she was nothing more than a husk, reservation taken to the extreme to leave her as hollow as an empty shell.
When the voice came, she merely cocked her head to one side to listen, the first really thoughtful movement since the day began, her eyes focusing on nothing in particular as she listened.
And when the King gave the orders, she went without question, without qualms, vanishing along with the others.

Alastair was pushed back without much fuss except the glare he gave the back of Harland's head. His arms slid across his chest as he took on the posture of a rebellious child and held his glare even as Harland snapped at him and Crispin hissed.
With the mention of a technicality, Alastair dropped the hostility in his expression when he saw the couple of darkly-dressed men.
"Fine. I suppose we'll meet those two after we collect some miasma from the labyrinth. I guess I'm stuck with you again." He gave Harland a look that conveyed relief despite the clear disdain in his voice. Without another word, Alastair spun around and started off with a limp in his step.

Feeling the squeeze of his arm, he gave the man a wild smile, nodding carefully. Here was a good man, willing to follow the tarnished soul of the thief around, call him a brother and friend. To the one called Jack, this is all he wanted, while he was in the Underworld.
At the beckconing of the one known as The voice, he watched as his King, his Gatekeeper considered his elements and options, picking and choosing where they would all go, green eyes piercing through the strange light as his name was chosen along side his friend, giving him a little hope.
"Let's do this." He stated, before wandering after him.
He didn’t give them a smile but merely nodded, “Sorry I was lost in thought you may call me Joachim.” His voice seemed almost hollow as he said it, not that he minded the fact that he wasn’t overly expressional. Somehow he felt as I it was necessary, to not be rather lively, it was fitting with the thought of the idea of being dead. Joachim didn’t even react as the voice sounded echoing through out his head with new words of miasma gathering.
He merely nodded as the king assigned him to the tower allowing the Agsil to lead.
