He stares at the mechanical man and then lets out a loud snort at Bix's comment. His own lips quirk in a smile before it falls slightly at the mechanized man's comment. "What exactly will you be taking my measurements for, if you don't mind me asking? "
His blue yes glance at the white feathered serpent and he stares more critically. His race is familiar, in fact almost similar to his own. " You are not from Coatl are you?" He was almost certain Bix wasn't, but it was still fair to ask before assuming things. It will be nice to have someone else to relate to on this ship, however.

"For coffins," Roch said simply. "Pays t'be prepared, don't you think?" he asked almost evilly as he adjusted his hold-- his hand changed, turning into a rope that wrapped tightly around the wall to keep it from wobbling.
"You should be pissed, too, Mr. Intelligence," he said to Bix. "He put two destructive idiots and a guy more interested in getting into people's beds than his work in charge of our fates. We're all gonna die. I can hook you up with a coffin as well, if you're interested."

Bix, in answer to Zephy's question, let out a series of sounds and hisses that seemingly represented the name of his planet. "It's not far from Coatl.. but not the same." He offer his hand. "I'm Bix. In case you didn't catch it." Thankfully handshakes were a universal symbol in these times of species mixing. The ornery mechanic had paused to give them his opinion but Bix looked nonplussed. "It's not very helpful for us to have people walking around expressing our impending doom." His eyes cast to Wilson. "He is our leader. Our King. All we have is each other. Just because they got some baublesss and titles doesn't mean they are dictating our fates. We all have a hand in this.. and hearing naysaying from tech ssssupport is hardly encouraging." His words had started a bit preachy but apparently the comment about 'Mr. Intelligence' had struck the serpent the wrong way as his red eyes narrowed and thin lips turned into a judgemental frown. The judgement seemed to rebound almost instantly, good with the bad. "You fill a fundamental role here. Would you really want to be distracted with other responsibilty on top of those you already have?"

"Yeah," Roch said quietly, letting his anger calm as Bix's words sank in. "But it's still another thing standin' between me and the most important thing in the universe," he went on. "If they destroy our own ship tryin' t'show off, how well do you think they'll take care of the ones that go into war with them? If I die, fightin' at their sides, I'll never--"
His mouth closed and he shrugged. "I'll do my best in whatever bliznoxin' job I get. With whatever leader I get stuck under. I trust the commander..." even though he had just almost killed them all. The words were silent, but he knew most of them were thinking it. "Doesn't change the fact I've got a wall to replace."

His interest is peaked, being able to understand several of these hisses. he lets out a few of his own in turn. " I have heard of that planet, in fact I have visited a few times. They way your race travels is interesting.. one I couldn't manage if I tried." His tanned hand reaches of to shake Bix's own pale one. His blue feathers ruffle from the action, and he smiles widely. "And I am Zephyros, I hope we can aide each other in this fight for our king. "
But once the mechanic begins speaking once more, his face falls into a frown. "I don't think it would be wise to tear down the ships walls just to create coffins for fighters. If anything cremation is a more useful action." With a small cough, he clears his throat and glances back over at the newly knighted group."They are not all incompetent.. and they have their purpose. As do we." His head nods at Bix's comment. "We will be the support, and remember.. there are more in our group than there is of them. We have more power to help out the ship. There is no need to be angry, we will fight."

Coffins? Lumikki mused to herself I wouldn't need a big one...she hadn't even thought about what she was saying toherself. Her ears picking up bits of information as she followed the mechanic, he looked to be a better fit to tearing things up but the commander must have had reasons. Getting tired running after him in such a small form she decided to jump up on the wall. Finally seeing where he was going and very quietly revealing she could speak in this form. "if you make coffins can I have a pretty one?"

The little animals question actually made Bix laugh. How could you say no to that face? He better make her a pretty coffin.
"You're not very encouraging." Bix eyed Roch again. "All this talk about you and your goals.. They don't seem to include us all as a whole except perhaps to man this craft and get you] where your going." Is that all he cared about? Getting back up into space for some selfish personal need.
"This is about all of us. We're grounded. Battle is coming now. Home planets and loved ones are nothing but dreams in this reality." It was a grim outlook but it didn't make it any less true.

"So all of a sudden I'm supposed to be on the lookout for the greater good, huh?" Roch said, raising an eyebrow at Bix. "What part of ex space pirate do you not understand? But you're also sayin' we should forget about what we're fightin' for--how good for morale do y'think that is? You should know, nobody's in this fightin' for the common good--at least not many of us. Use what people desire--because I'll fight a hell of a lot harder for my blue eyes than I'll fight for you, pretty as you might be," he drawled.
Then he glanced up at the furball. "I can, or I can make y'somethin' for your ashes--I got some pretty scrap crystal that can be formed into somethin' that'd make a good urn," he told her. "Hell, you don't die, y'can put stuff in it!"
Then he looked at Zeph. "This isn't for the coffin. I'm going to see if I can repair it, if I can I'll bring it back, if I can't I'll chop it into pieces and use it for patch jobs. I got other scraps for coffin material."

His little feathered ears twitch as he looks between the three of them. The little fuzzy thing crawling all over Roch's wall make Zephyros' brows raise. Especially when she asks for a pretty coffin.. As if she didn't care if she died. If only he was that brave, he would feel the same way.
But he does look back between Roch and Bix. "...I would fight for the greater good.. " His voice mumbles quietly, but he shakes his head and stares more. "I still think cremation would be a cheaper cause. " This time his voice is a little louder and he has a weak smile on his face.

Lumikki's ears picked up on the agitation.
"Oh crystal urns."
Looking over at the feathered creature she hadn't seen him at first but heard him. Smiling happily as if prospect of death didn't bother her. It was actually the opposite it bothered her greatly but she figured worse came to worse she could hide for a little while.
"if Mitsu and I can do anything its to help people stay up. She patches up holes like Roch here...only people holes..."

[Entering: Sinclair]
Cold metal surged before his eyes, careening closer, too close -- Sinclair's world spun a second time as he lurched forward and crashed.
It was a harsher landing than he expected, but he had never leaped through the portal before. Groaning, Sinclair rolled onto his back. Spidery cracks spread across his vision, obstructing the view of indeterminable metallic structures and tossing the lights into strange, fragmented slivers.
So this was the White Kingdom. For as little as he knew of this place, at least he was certain of one thing -- someone here would be able to fix his glasses.
Something wet slid next to his ear. Sinclair reached up, touching sticky, wet warmth, and he cringed when he pulled his fingers back to find blood. Another injury from the fall? He must look like a mess. His right sleeve was torn where the debris had hit him, red deeply staining the cloth and sable skin; his glasses were cracked, and the cut at the side of his head twinged angrily. He couldn't stay here.
Slowly, Sinclair staggered to his feet. With every step he took, he forced his back to be a little straighter. The Silver Kingdom had fallen, but he was still an ambassador. He had to maintain some decorum. Perhaps some of his fellows had escaped here, as well... maybe even that boy he had spoken to before everything fell into disaster.
He hadn't managed to tell him his name. He would rectify that. Eventually.
Straining his ears, Sinclair listened for voices. He managed to catch snatches of conversation, a group of people, he hoped, and hurried towards it...

The Orychanian had stood by quietly, simply nodding as their Commander announced his choices for his subordinates. Now, Sharra had to admit that he did not agree with all of those selections, but...that, after all, was why he himself was not leading this ship, this city. And he nodded in silent salute to the choices of their King as Bix had so aptly put it. In all truth, there was some guilty measure of him that was relieved that such responsibility had not been placed upon his shoulders. To serve and die. That was enough.
Sharra was absolutely unable to ignore the conversation betwixt the three lingering, Roch, after all, was a pal, a friend of common interests, and though the mechanic could be...abrasive at times, the Orychanian was distinctly fond of him. They held a friendly competition on the subject of transportation, something that had oft left the two of them with scuffed hoverbikes and an overabundance of adrenaline.
The lithe blond snorted to himself as he approached the conversation, chuckling softly at Lumikki. "We've all got our own reasons for fighting." He stated clearly, gaze lingering not only on Roch, but on Zephyros and Bix as well. "Regardless of what they are, I think we can all agree that this is something that must be done, otherwise we wouldn't be here, and we certainly wouldn't have volunteered. I'm obliged to depend on everyone standing here, even if I don't know, or even particularly like some of my team members." He shot the mechanic of the lot a challenging smirk, noting that he was mostly teasing the other, wordless promise of hoverbike races hidden therein.
"We're most definitely going to need every single one of us."

Bix nodded as Sharra approached and offered him his hand with a quiet, "Bix," in introduction. He cast his eyes back to Roch, "Your reasons are your own but yes, I would fight for the whole and perhaps less moping about being chosen would be prudent considering that every word you use in dispute just cements that your goals are your own."
Once more his eyes drifted to Wilson. "Regardless of who they are sleeping with or rubbing on, perhaps he believes in their loyalty more than yours." Continuing to flaunt piracy wasn't exactly reassuring. Bix spoke it all with a calm even tone, even amusement hinted in. Every word spouted by the cyborg put him closer to dislike for the serpentine man.
At least everyone else seemed favorable, for the most part.

Marosa, too, was unhappy with the selections, but there was nothing he could do about it. The King had made his choices, and the Ganerie would abide by that.
When the cloud came out, Marosa doubled over in pain, nearly screaming at the intensity of it, wings fluttering uncontrollably before he found himself completely fine. Confusion flitted across his face as he brought his hands up to look at them, surprise now etched on.
On his palm was the kingdom's symbol.
Closing his palm, Marosa breathed out and glanced around, figuring now would be the best time to get to know others. If they were going to work together, it would be better to have some kind of friendship or camaraderie between them all.
The Ganerie was unused to starting conversations however, and stood in place like a fish out of water, looking uneasy. His wings folded against his back, and his shoulders slumped as he glanced Sharra's way.
His best friend had it so easy.

Dakota relaxed as Poke came over and held his hand out to her, bring the back of it to his lips. "You as well Lieutenant Poke, I look forward to our support of each other." The Livius eyes flickered, "Perhaps we could go over some of the defensive techniques of our kind together...maybe a dinner in the Twilight suite?" He grinned, dates to talk of defenses would be nice...especially with a pretty little Drogaim.
Of course, that left the surgeon who held all of his passion and love. If he was to be honest, The Livius was merely subsituting for what he couldn't hold on to. His eyes flickered over to Madeline and he watched her as she calmed herself. The urge to calm her was surprising in his own right.
Did he go over to her, tell her everything would be alright. That he would defend the kingdom and herself with everything he had? It seemed almost selfish and his Livius kind would laugh at him, think him weak for feeling something for a single woman.
Instead he was inviting another one to a date to 'discuss' defense.
"Anytime for you Poke?"Syusaki Beyond his obsessive flirting and womanizing ways, Dakota is a loyal defendant to the ship, specilizing in medical and technology to aid the ship.
