Sherry gave Jake her very best 'I don't believe you' look, then shrugged. "Alright! Home it is." She turned, and lead the way.

Sherry also made straight for her room, seeing as she had a fair amount of stuff. She plopped the bags down on the bed, took off her scarf, and went to remove her...coat. Which she'd left in Jake's room.

She wasted no time walking down the hall. When she arrived at her destination, she knocked and opened the door, basically at the same time. "I left my coat down here," she explained as she stepped into the room.

It was obvious that she'd startled him.

"My coat," she repeated as she bent over to retrieve the bottle that had successfully escaped the confines of the bag. It wasn't out of curiosity, but the standard reaction to something rolling towards a person. Curiosity made her look at the bottle. It barely registered on her radar of odd things.

"You still seem tense. You sure everything's alright?"

"What has gotten into you?" He wasn't being super grumpy and saying mean things. Heck, he seemed nervous about something. Just what...Oh. Sometimes the wheels in Sherry's head turned faster than others. Just like how in some cases, Jake's reactions pretty much left him an open book.

"Oh," she said as her arms wrapped around her coat, "Is that what has you so upset? I mean, it's pretty clear," she shifted her coat to one arm and reached out to ruffle his hair with her free hand, "you dye it. Do you need help or something?"

His hand was warm. "I should have time to do that later, so if you need help I really can." Not that she knew a whole lot about doing hair, but still. It couldn't be that hard. Certainly easier than making cookies.

Armagnac grumbled. Sherry ignored the weapon's obvious irritation about how the day was progressing.

"But if you're certain, then I suppose I can leave you be."

Sherry spent the moment of silence staring at Jake. Something about him seemed different, for certain. He was almost soft would have been a good word for it. Soft and, well, very approachable. She hadn't meant to stare, but stare she had, a fact she realized only when he looked up. She'd caught herself staring at him before, but this was the first time he had, as far as she knew. Her face took on quite the flush of color; she was pretty much bright red before he finished speaking.

"You're welcome." Did he just thank her? "I-I'm glad you enjoyed it."

An irritated hiss rolled in her head.

Sherry almost agreed. She was blushing, nervous, and really running away would have been the easiest. But she didn't necessarily want to, did she? She'd left her coat in his room on purpose, hadn't she? Dammit. She didn't want to admit it, but she had to. She liked the jerk, and him not being a jerk really, really didn't help matters.

"I had fun, too," she smiled, and then as far as her weapon was concerned, the girl lost her mind. She stepped in close, and reached out, fingers brushing at his hair again. "Though if you decide you want help, let me know." She followed this by one quick, soft kiss on his cheek.

She regretted it almost before she did it. She knew that for some girls, heck, even most girls, such actions were nothing and friendly and they happened all the time. For her, it was monumental. What had she just done?

"Um, thanks." She couldn't even look him in eye. She smiled a nervous smile before she turned and left the room just about as quick as she could. Oh, dear lord. Part of her hoped he'd not hate her, and just take the action as a friend type of thing. Most of her hoped... Sherry suddenly didn't want to think about anything.

Armagnac was not pleased.
