When talking to Xiu, AJ noticed that the ghoul made a indistinct laugh, he wondered whether he said something interesting. What the ghoul said made he excited, so it was really a secret meeting! So thrilling. They had to make themselves close to invisible! Haha. He looked at the direction where Xiu glanced at, it was several figures who watching them and murmuring to each other. Was they spotted? AJ started to watch the suspicious group.
Once Xiu began to introduce her friends, he got his attention back. "Hi, nice to meet you." AJ gave a nod to the zomboil. A voice from behind made him turned his head, it was a ghoul. "Good evening, miss, I am AJ. Nice to meet you."
More and more people gathered at the place, there were spread groups of students. He kept hearing terms he didn't know such as "horseman" or "initate". He raised a question to the group. "Anyone knows what horseman or initate mean? I overheard these terms but what are they?" AJ was a first year and he never heard about the Lost Clans before.

The dark skinned priestess had stuck to the shadows upon first arriving to the gathering. Watching those around her, hr fellow horsemen, and the handful of students that had been welcomed among their ranks. Though more were coming, students who had not participated in the ritual. Ones that did not bare the mark of the clans upon their person. Nergui wasn't sure how to take the arrival of what she considered unwelcome guests within their midst, but it was not her place to chase them away.
Mismatched eyes turned up to priestess that had called them, and she wandered briefly if the woman was aware of the additions. Knowing Medea, she probably was.
With a sniff the Death clanswomen left the concealing solitude of the shadows, moving slowly among the crowd until she could find one of the few she knew well. Senga was easy to pick out within the crowd, but she hesitated to join the war pup. He was surrounded by others, she would find him later.
Instead she moved to join Kiwi. A dark hand coming to rest on the young colt's shoulder as she stopped behind him. "You seem very troubled." The words of their priestess were certainly cause for concern, but Kiwi's mood seemed to be fueled by more then that.
So, Eisheth was standing there listening to the head priestess once again; a swift sensation of familiarity, a déjà vu. The Lost Clan surely gave Medea some credits; they were still listening, and they were still following; may be not as eager as they were before, but still willingly.
The alchemist did question herself, what might Medea mean this time. The time of the year... it was the same time of the year the original Apocalypse were planned for; may be the priestess plans a raid in a Humans world? Or smt entirely different?.. She was wondering, what Kiwi, Mmur or Sal would think about it; she waved at her fellow clansmen.

Eisheth looked around: so many new faces here, a lot of students, boils and ghouls, some of them, she could say, were here by an accident, and really belong to the Lost Clan, some, on the contrary, fit their kin pretty well. She still hesitated, not being entirely sure she appreciates seeing all those students around, but Eisheth was reasonable: she could see the value of numbers. Especially, knowing that most of the Halloweeners are pawns, and would be sacrificed immediately when needed.
Speaking of which, there are some certain individuals here she needs to take care of. Eisheth blinked and looked at Mei gesturing for her to come closer.

"Oh--Mei!" Xiu perked up at the voice, turning to face the jiangshi ghoul with a bright smile. It had been a while since they had last encountered one another, that was for sure. Perking up at the "other person" in her greeting, the baku laughed and gave a little flick of her tail.
Right, introductions. "Mei, this is AJ. AJ, Meixiang." With those formalities done, she turned to face the boil, lifting her brows in surprise at the question. He didn't know--ah, well. She supposed that she had been quite oblivious about the horsemen until she encountered them here at Amity. She crossed her arms over her chest, lips pulling into a frown as she tried to figure out how to best describe the members of the Lost Clans.
"The horsemen are...well," She swept a hand out to indicate the majority of the group who had gathered, "They originally lived on their respective isles--Conquest, War, Death, and Famine--but then...the Hunters got to them."
And then she paused, realizing that AJ probably didn't know what Hunters were yet. W-welp. Uh, okay, maybe she wasn't any good at this explaining business when it came to the Horsemen, and she didn't feel right touching upon the topic of initiates when she knew so little about what they did, really...so she turned to blink up at Alex expectantly.

Alexander's eye widened slightly in surprise. Was he really so easy to read? Were his worries so plain on his face? He really needed to do a better job of hiding how he was feeling, though it was hard when his gut was roiling with anxieties. "Yes, I'm fine." He answered, trying to sound reassuring. "It's just that....the last time this many students gathered with horsemen, we drank from a chalice and stormed the hunters island. Why are so many non-initiates here, anyways?" He had meant to say that last part in his head, but it just sort of slipped out as he turned to look around, more and more students filing in so that it seemed like they might have even outnumbered the horsemen that had gathered. He couldn't imagine what Medea thought of that. She offered power and suddenly that's when everyone chooses to come and help? Not after the horsemen had held up their end of the bargain and had helped immensely in getting back the students from the hunters. No, this was what brought the rest of Amity to Medea's call. Power. Always power. Though if Alexander could have the power to fix his friends, to remove the tags, to cure insanity, he would take that power and run with it. He had to wonder if everyone else's intentions were so pure. Certainly he knew what the horsemen would do with there power. But what of the rest?
"I don't like this. I shouldn't have let you come." He groused, unable to stop looking around, the sight of more and more students arriving sending stronger tendrils of panic lacing through him. He didn't even notice when the other boil had come to talk to Xiu, not until the baku was speaking to him again, drawing his attention back down to her, and he blinked in surprise at the newcomer.
"Oh. Hi!" He attempted to compose himself, offering a smile and holding out a hand to shake. "You must be a new student?" Worse and worse. So far he was at least happy to see that Sophie hadn't turned up.
And then a familiar voice, a tug on his sleeve, and he was turning away from the pair, his eye widening again in shock.
"Mei?" He gasped, and for a moment his trepidation eased. He hadn't seen the ghoul almost since the Fright Night festival. He didn't hesitate to snake an arm around her, pulling her in close to his side in a one armed hug as he beamed down at her. "You're back!"
Always good to state the obvious.
At the question of horsemen and initiates Alexander turned back and blinked just as much down at Xiu as she did up at him, his arm still wrapped around his friend. He thought she had pretty neatly summed up horsemen...sort of.
"Their homes were destroyed by a long time enemy and now they live here until they can rebuild what they lost." There, that was slightly more tactful. "Initiates...well, there aren't very many of us, but basically we have offered to help them. Their enemies are my enemies, after all." He gave Xiu a pointed look, his mouth pressing in a firm line. "We help them in whatever way they need us to." He left out the part where he was only really doing it to pay back a debt he still felt like he owed, though he would be lying if he said he wasn't becoming more and more comfortable in their ranks.

She shot Xiu a bright smile. Bowing her head lightly to the other boil, he must've been fairly new. Of course, Mei was certainly out of the loop when it came to the newest students even though she was a year two. But it was always a nice surprise to see the newest lot anyhow. Always a potential for new friends. "Nice to meet you AJ."
The sudden hug and squeeze from her big zombro was a bit unexpected but not unwelcome. She laughed and wrapped her short arms around him, giving as tight a hug as she could. "Yes, I took a trip back home to spend some time with my family. Do some reflecting all that jazz ya know?"
It wasn't long before she caught the eye of the Horsewoman nearby. She hadn't spoken to Eisheth in a while as well. Though not surprised to see here here. Unraveling her arms from about Alex's waist, she touched his arm lightly. "Pardon me for a moment, I will be back." With a nod to the trio she slipped through the crowd heading back towards her dark skinned lady with a light smile on her lips.
As she drew closer, she bowed her head slightly in an almost sheepish manner as she tucked her hands inside her billowing sleeves once more. "Eisheth. I would say I am surprised to see you here but I'm really not."

Kiwi gave a jolt as he felt something brush his shoulder. Oh, it was Nergui. He relaxed a bit, glad to see a familiar face among all these initiates. Her question though took him by surprise. "Oh, h-how did you know?? ..." His face reddened slightly. Was it really that obvious?? ... He didn't really feel like talking about it, as focusing on it meant the voices would likely grow worse ... but Nergui had also dealt with Insanity, had she not?? ...
After a moment Kiwi gave a gentle sigh, and lowered his voice, so as not to be overheard by anyone nearby. " ... I ... I've been hearing things, lately ..." He didn't want to outright say it. Not with students nearby. Not even near initiates. " ... Voices ..." he added, his fingers nervously playing with the cord of his bracelet.
While waiting on her reaction, he happened to notice a familiar wave in the crowd. Eisheth. He would have to find her later. There was alot they needed to discuss.

Gene stood down after the applied pressure to her forehead, still frowning at Frost. He didn't understand the insatiable need that she had. But she knew deep down he was right - the Horsemen would simply just take and take and take and never give back. That wasn't a way to get power.
She looked again at Night, face hardening. Tybalt didn't seem all that comfortable around him, and he was calling the black dog a liar. Gene herself didn't know Tybalt at all, but if Mei trusted the boil, so did Gene. The cat just wasn't giving off very good vibes anyway. She regarded him only with suspicion.
A look to the other three, and she nodded. They would wait, for the time being.
Though he was not one of those who had felt the call, when such a gathering occurred, such a happening, it was rather impossible that some of those who had been previously uninvolved would not feel the stirrings of such an event.
Sharra was one of these.
He felt a touch awkward, admittedly, arriving to see a throng of horsemen, as well as his fellow students, crowded around in response to Medea's call. The Nergal boil knew who she was, of course, an entity of such importance could hardly go unnoticed, even by someone who had been as socially inadequate as the demon had of late. A fact that he was trying to amend. The stirrings had spoken of great change, and he knew from Aksaja that the clash of Hunters, Horsemen and Students had been quite traumatic at best. The details were still a bit hazy.
Scanning those assembled, he looked for any familiar faces.
He remembered Alex from previous fiasco-like happenings, the zomboil had been altogether pleasant the last time they'd bumped into one another, despite the somewhat strained circumstances. He also recognized the baku, though his most memorable encounter with the ghoul had been...less than joyous for the both of them. There were a couple of others with them, one of the new students and a ghoul that Sharra didn't recognize.
So that was the group he approached, tossing a rather respectful and bro-like salute to the zomboil. "Hey..." He also gave a nod to Xiu and AJ, juuuuuuust to make sure that things weren't at all awkward. "Quite the to-do, hmm?" Though his words were light enough, they carried with them the sort of seriousness that hung over the entire gathering. Suffice to say he didn't particularly wish to experience this solo.
But Sharra wanted to change something for once.
And Medea seemed to be quite the instrument of change.

Aymet gave Night a quick salute back before the black cat disappeared again.
"I'm with Halloween," he corrected. There was a slight edge in his voice that had never been there before. "I'm trying to help."
"Actually, Medea's offered to help us all, if we want it." Like a shark to blood, Aymet latched onto the hint of weakness Lizzy had revealed. As if convincing her would fill just a little of that emptiness. The skull over Aymet's face gave the impression of a predator stalking its prey. He didn't mind that Christof was basically privvy to all of this as well - if the hunchback had any decency in his corpse he'd do whatever it took to keep Amrita safe without hesitation. "She could make you stronger. Without her help, Amrita, and those others, they'd - they'd be weapons by now on that Jackforsaken island! It's more than any teacher at our school has ever done, except maybe Red, and Red paid a terrible price. We could protect everyone, if we had the power to. So reconsider..."

And by this time Fai was studying a small jar with snow in it, a curious expression on his face as he uncapped the jar and sniffed the snow. It smelt faintly minty--or perhaps everything smelt faintly minty, he thought, capping the jar again. He was almost positive (although he hadn't done extensive studies yet) that Halloween was being infected by the annoying white stuff.
His eyes roamed the group, taking in the random splash of bright red and green. Ah, yes, it was affecting his clanmates already, it seemed, he thought, bringing out a notepad to jot down a few notes on. He wasn't experimenting on his fellow horsemen, of course--he didn't have to, all the work was being done for him.

Torg stopped tugging on his wing long enough to straighten and take in a massive whiff of air.
"SOMETHING SMELLS."
He paused, before adding, "FESTIVE."

Fai glanced up at the War horseman, smiling faintly and holding the jar of snow up for inspection. "Yes, I do believe you're right. Have you noticed other signs of foreign festivity?" he asked, moving closer and looking much like a journalist. "I do know that some of the students headed to Christmasland for a small jaunt, but I don't believe that happened before the snow started... tell me, have you had the urge to dress in red and gree--"
Ah, well, perhaps that wasn't the proper question for this interesting fellow...
"The urge to drink egg based products?" Probably not the right question either, now that he thought about it.

Eisheth was happy to see Mei, and happy to know she's all right; at least, the ghoul seemed to be all right, though with all the things happened lately, the alchemist felt she needed to discuss too many things. But that clearly wasn't the right time; so instead of attempting to word what she wanted to say properly, Eisheth simply hugged her ghoulfriend, pulling her closer.
"Don't leave me for a long time", she whispered so only Mei could hear her. "I have a bad feeling this time".
She wanted to share her doubts with Kiwi, but probably she would be able to catch him later.
The uneasiness in Eisheth's voice concerned the ghoul. It was only a little bit out of character for the Alchemist so it sent up small red flags in the back of her mind. While the experiences Mei had had with the dealings with Medea weren't all that spectacular, the Jiang Shi knew everything came with a price. And things weren't always going to be screambows and skellypops. It was something she had come to terms with. Mostly.
She returned the hug, a wry smile on her lips as she raised a curious brow while pulling back to give her a cool look. Now would be the time Mei interjected a small tease, but from Eisheth's words she gathered now would probably not be the time.
Turning her small frame slightly, she glanced back to her group of friends and then back towards the Priestess. "This time hm?" She waved a dismissive hand in front of her face, wrinkling her nose. "I have to admit I am curious as to why she has called us all out here...and what it may lead to."
